NBC's 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' Claims Police Kill 'Young Black Men with Impunity'

Cori Bush praises BLM activist who 'prayed' for death of police officers in speech comparing Black Americans to Palestinians - "Bassem Masri was a Palestinian-American activist who, according to the New York Post, "received national attention for streaming heated exchanges with cops during protests outside the Ferguson Police Department."  In one such exchange, Masri reportedly said, "I’m praying for your death and your death and your death and your death", referring to police officers. "Pigs In a Blanket Fry Em Like Baconnnn", he also said in a 2014 tweet.  Masri, who passed away in 2018, came up in Cori Bush's speech on Thursday when she compared the events that took place in Ferguson in 2014 to the Palestinian experience of today"

New York radio host says 'f*ck the police' on live stream while drinking booze; kills officer hours later in hit-and-run - "Just hours after downing shots and filming herself on Facebook Live saying "f*ck the police," Jessica Beauvais struck and killed an NYPD officer.... Beauvais also equated herself to the DC comic book character Harley Quinn, and stated that she thinks guns are pretty, and carries a knife everywhere."

Facebook - "As I've mentioned here before, when I was 14 I got caught  joyriding my dad's car. After I was arrested, cuffed, and completely detained, a cop pulled me away from the rest of crowd. While his partner stood watch, he put his gun to my head and said "Do you want me to end it, I can do it right now?" If I had known that white people would be lecturing me about this 30 years later, I would have said "yes.""

Eric on Twitter/a> - "A large amount of black people are turning against social justice efforts because they’re tired of being told they’re too dumb to have ID to vote, too black to not get shot by police, too naive to make good decisions, and too oppressed to be successful."

BREAKING: Project Veritas busts CNN director admitting coverage of black-on-Asian hate crimes would 'set back' BLM movement - "CNN technical director Charles Chester was caught on camera by Project Veritas stating that CNN tailors its reporting to support the Black Lives Matter movement. "I was trying to do some research on like the Asian hate, like the people are getting attacked and whatnot. A bunch of black men that have been attacking Asians," Chester said. "I'm like 'what are you doing?' Like we're trying to like help like with the BLM."  Chester stated that reporting on crimes against Asians committed by black people is not good for optics, as it would upset people on the far-left... According to Chester, "little things like that are enough to set back" the BLM movement "because the far-[right] will start to latch on and create a story of like criminalizing an entire people."  CNN has published multiple news stories over the past few months suggesting that white supremacy is the reason why Asians are being increasingly targeted for hate crimes... Chester further said that the story was that it was "white guys" initially, but that he "hasn't seen anything about focusing on the color of people's skin that aren't white," admitting that CNN contributors and pundits "just aren't saying anything," and the "story loses a little steam" as a result. The footage comes one day after other footage of Chester was leaked by Project Veritas, in which he admitted that CNN intentionally hyped fears of coronavirus to boost the network's ratings."

CNN Twists the Facts on Race, Shootings, and BLM - "Chester later explains that he meant to say “the far Right” when he said “the far Left.”  The CNN director admits that his network focuses on the skin color of a shooter only if that person is white. “I haven’t seen anything about focusing on the color of people’s skin that aren’t white. They [CNN] just aren’t saying anything. You know what I mean?”  Chester also describes CNN’s influence in journalism as akin to “propaganda.”  “You can shape an entire people’s perception about anything [depending] on how you do it,” he says."

Meme - "I support BLM Belt Loops Matter ! Pull up your paints we dont want to see your shit tained underware!!"
"Just say you don't like black people or their culture. Honesty is better."

It's racist to tell people to pull their pants up

BREAKING: Antifa assaults Trump-supporting couple in DC - "Footage depicts the husband punched in the back of the head, maced and tackled to the ground... Similarly to the previous Million MAGA March, attendees are assaulted as the day comes to an end and people begging dispersing. In most cases, this is reported to happen as people begin walking about to their respective hotels and accommodations."

BLM turns on Biden after exclusion from high-profile civil rights meeting - "For those of us who have studied the tides of history, the depravity of mankind, and the tendency to abuse power – things our Founding Fathers were very concerned with – the reality of an executive leader using a group to sow mayhem in order to gain more power is nothing new. It's one of the oldest games in the book.
Apparently, that's a lesson BLM is learning the hard way.
As if that wasn't enough, BLM is apparently learning another lesson from history: that movements based on vindictiveness and covetousness inevitably implode with infighting. BLM has started centralizing money and resources away from local chapters toward national leadership, causing the movement to splinter.
"Ten local chapters are severing ties with the Black Lives Matter Global Network, as the national leadership is known," writes Politico. "They are furious that Patrisse Cullors, its remaining co-founder, assumed the role of executive director of the group and made these decisionswithout their input.""

VIDEO: Bystanders Livestream, Mock Officer As He's Being Beaten, Needs Airlift - "The violent attack occurred in the area of Benton Court at approximately 1 a.m. on Oct. 17, as Rowland Police Office Michael Sales, 27, was responding to a report of a disturbance"

Police shootings database 2015-2021 - Washington Post - "An overwhelming majority of people shot and killed by police are male — over 95 percent. More than half the victims are between 20 and 40 years old."
Clear proof of sexim and ageism!

Peter Schiff on Twitter - "So far in 2020 97% of the people shot to death by police were men. This gender disparity has persisted for years. Are the police racist AND sexist? Perhaps the nearly exclusive depiction of males as criminals in movies and TV has created an unconscious systemic bias against men."

Meme - "97% of people shot to death by police are MALE. MEN are CLEARLY being HUNTED by cops. WOMEN are over 50% of the population. SEXISM has NO PLACE in our society! We cannot rest until these numbers are EQUALIZED!!!"

Stephen Knight 🔊 on Twitter - "Twitter is full of people that can barely regulate their emotions when faced with a different opinion, who also think they'd do better than the average cop in an armed confrontation."

BBC News (UK) on Twitter - "27 police officers injured during largely peaceful anti-racism protests in London"
BBC News (UK) on Twitter - "London protests: More than 100 arrests after violent clashes with police" - 6 police officers suffered minor injuries, and the London Ambulance Service treated 15 patients. But this was a right wing protest"

Facebook - "How dare companies like Zara and H&M claim to support #BlackLivesMatter while using Uyghur Muslim slave labour in Chinese concentration camps"

Katy Faust - Posts | Facebook - "Here’s the problem that I, and many other conservatives have today.  The Black Lives Matter *organization* has taken some thing that conservatives care deeply about, the intrinsic value of all humans (especially those who have suffered injustice) and used it to frost a cake baked with some of the most pernicious ideas humanity has ever known. The Black Lives Matter organization is unabashedly Marxist, which divides a population by groups, usually race or class. The viewing of people as groups rather than individuals is responsible for every mass human evil that we have seen throughout history and especially in the 20th century. Whether it be your standard-issue genocide, ethnic cleansing, Jews depicted as victimizers and everyday Germans the victims, the “bourgeoisie” as the victimizers and the proletariat as the victims, or seeing blacks as subhuman/property based their race- no good comes when everyone in one group is considered virtuous and everybody the other group is wicked.   The founding principles of America were novel and distinct because we built a system based on *individual* liberty and individual rights, not religious or racial or class groups. While it took far too long for us to fully realize that legal equality, the principles themselves have resulted in the freest and most prosperous nation in the world. Collectivism can never accomplish that.  In addition, the black lives matter organization “seeks to disrupt the western prescribed nuclear family.” (As if marriage is an invention of the west when in fact the five major religions of the world disagree about everything *except* marriage.) The destabilization of the family unit is a classic tactic of totalitarian regimes. Chinese youth were taught to believe that they should feel closer to chairman Mao than their own parents. If children cannot trust their parents, see their parents as the enemy, or if their bonds to parents have been “disrupted” their dependence and allegiance must go to the state. Destabilize the family = increase the power of government. Transgenderism is a central aspect of the black lives matter organization. Gender dysphoria is on the rise, especially among autistic girls. Children who don’t fit traditional gender stereotypes are led to believe that somehow that means they were born in the wrong body. Waves and waves of “detransitioners” are now speaking up about the harm gender theorists and complicit physicians have wrecked on their bodies.  No child should be told that to be their true selves they must become a lifelong consumer of pharmaceuticals and cosmetic surgery. Despite all that, Americans are told if they don’t put up a black profile picture or if they refuse to protest, that somehow means they don’t think black lives matter. Black Lives Matter has taken something that every American I know believes in- the intrinsic worth of black lives- and used it to smuggle in radical and destructive ideas. They then claim anyone who doesn’t agree with Black Lives Matter is a racist.  What a clever, manipulative, tactic.  So for anyone who’s chosen to read this far this is where I stand.  BLACK LIVES MATTER. For my friends who are people of color, I want to be the first one to bear your burdens and hear your heart. If you would give me the honor.  But I will never *ever* support the Black Lives Matter organization because it violates the core conservative principles of *individual* rights and dignity, of family as an irreplaceable institution for social thriving, and that physical bodies (especially those of children) are sacred and deserve protection."

Facebook - "Rayshard Brooks of Atlanta, USA
The facts:
- Was drunk in his car
- Asleep at wheel and blocked drive through of a Wendy's
- Resisted arrest
- Grabbed officer's Taser
- Pointed Taser at officer (and may have fired it) while running away
- Shot, died at hospital
What NYT says
- Black man shot by white cops for sleeping in car
Consequence
- Officer fired, under investigation
- police chief resigned
- Wendy's burnt down by mob
Yay. Justice."

‘Pandering didn't save you’: BLM-supporting Wendy's gets Twitter-roasted after mob torches Atlanta restaurant - "Social media users have unleashed a torrent of mockery upon Wendy's and its support for Black Lives Matter, after one of its restaurants in Atlanta was burnt to the ground following the fatal police shooting of Rayshard Brooks... This isn't the first time that Wendy's has felt the wrath of anti-racist demonstrators. Riots that broke out in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police left a local Wendy's restaurant charred and gutted after blazes spread across the city"

Atlanta Police Walk Out After District Attorney Charges Former Officer With Murder - "Cops are fighting back after a district attorney charged former officer Garrett Rolfe and officer Devin Brosnan over the shooting of Rayshard Brooks... Officers have reportedly stopped answering 911 calls, turned in their keys and failed to show up to their shifts."

Facebook - "Those angry people who film the dismantlement of those statues with smartphones made by slaves or people working like slaves, do they realise slavery is not over and they film these events thanks to the Congolese slaves and Chinese slaves who worked to extract gold or assemble those phones ? Would those people dismantle Apple', LG', Microsoft's (...) buildings ? Those alternative people (punks, emos, hc, etc.) who are supposed to be aware of the situation, who demonstrate to show their support but wear Converse (aka Nike) shoes, also made by slaves, do they not think this is problematic ? Will those people fight to free their African, Filipino, Indonesia, Indian, Pakistani brothers and sisters and other siblings who are enslaved, raped, beaten, killed in Mauritania, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE by the police, by the army, by the people ? Those BLM supporters, are they ok to wear clothes (Adidas, Nike, etc.) made by people working like slaves in Romania, Indonesia, Bangladesh and so on ?... The West is not and has never been the only coloniser, I think the main difference between countries like France, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Russia (yes, yes, Russia colonised and still occupies a lot of territories but I rarely see anyone raising this topic) and the other colonisers is that Europeans were the last ones (somehow) but don't tell me that the Ottomans, the Mongols, the Chinese (the Han dynasty that occupied parts of Vietnam, Korea, etc.), the Arabs (in North Africa) and so many more didn't colonise and repress people. Nevertheless, the West was not entirely the last ones. China,  Indonesia, Myanmar, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Israel, Thailand, India, Morocco, all of them still occupy territories and repress those who live there or those who support them. It seems some of your brown siblings don't behave better than the white devils, isn't it ? Colonialism or neocolonialism expresses itself in different ways, even if some European countries are still deeply involved in it, there are Middle Eastern, East Asian and African ones who exploit and colonise other people and territories (Rwanda is doing so much shit in RDC, Kenya treats the Turkana people like animals, and they are not the only ones...). In the end this also leads me to think a lot about this list of "black musicians and labels own by black people" that is circulating these days and its unspeakable lack of... African and Latin American artists. One more proof that the problem is not only coming from the so-called white people."

Outrage at posters in Dundee calling for police, MPs and white people to be killed - "Among the messages on the posters were “kill a white on sight”, “if they don’t stop kill a cop”, and “all white MPs should hang from trees”... The art student, who plans to organise a BLM march in Dundee soon, believes that “white supremacists” are using false posters to encourage violence... The Dundee Anarchist Bookfair, who supported the Antifa movement in the past, also believed the posters to be the work of people looking to discredit BLM... “A genuine BLM activist would not single out someone’s skin colour to talk about police violence and they certainly wouldn’t claim to be Antifa."
Sure, must be the British branch of the Proud Boys, of course.

This is what we really mean when we say that ‘ACAB’ - "last week, when the Scottish Labour Students account tweeted “To be clear: ACAB” in response to news that the Met police in London had moved to disperse a trans pride rally early"
This must be the fault of the "far right"

Teen who makes teddy bears for children of fallen officers receiving death threats for supporting law enforcement - "  You’ve probably heard of Megan.  Her non-profit is called Blue Line Bears.  She, with the help of her family, takes the uniforms of fallen police officers and turns them into teddy bears for the surviving family members...   “People who I saw as friends blocked me and called me toxic. I watched the increase in police injuries in New York and wondered if those were officers I’ve given a patch to. I scrolled through social media posts to be met with nothing but anti-police rants."

Son charged in Quebec mother's death after she asked in vain for police help with him - " The 32-year-old son of a Drummondville, Que. mother who was killed is now facing second-degree murder charges.  Suzanne Desjardins, 57, was fatally injured at home after seeking help from provincial police with a psychiatrically troubled son and not receiving it... Desjardins went to the provincial police station in Drummondville to ask for help, said the agency.  She wanted "the assistance of the police in order to force her son, who has been living with her for the past few weeks, to undergo a psychiatric assessment," said the release.  Police couldn't assist her in her request "immediately," said the BEI, so she went back to work."
Too bad they didn't send a social worker
Of course, if the police HAD gone in, he'd likely have gotten physical for them, and if the police had hurt him, everyone would have been upset at the police

Khamenei.ir on Twitter - "Regarding current, ongoing events in the US and the movement against racial discrimination, our firm stance is support of the people and condemnation of the brutal behavior of the racist US government. #BlackLivesMatter #PortlandProtests"
Modern slavery is nothing compared to US racism

Erielle Davidson on Twitter - "“Mostly peaceful” has become a euphemism for large-scale violence and burning of federal buildings. And we all know it. Congrats, we have our own Soviet double-speak now."

Police retirements have soared 45 PERCENT since BLM protests erupted after George Floyd's death - "Police retirements have risen by 45 percent in the past year, with officers opting out of forces across the country amid Black Lives Matter demonstrations that fueled anti-cop rhetoric.   The alarming statistic was revealed by the Police Executive Research Forum on Sunday, with the organization also revealing that resignations rose by 18 percent during the same twelve month period... That negative portrayal also stopped many aspiring cops from signing up to the force"

Looting, Riots Break Out in Minneapolis After Police Return Fire, Kill Wanted Felon - "Police officials in Minnesota say the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force attempted to arrest 32-year-old Winston Boogie Smith on June 3 for a warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm... he reportedly refused to comply with orders and pulled a handgun. Officials confirmed Smith fired at least one shot from inside his car"
When you protest, riot and loot on behalf of thugs and felons...

VIDEO: Felon Suddenly Shoots 2 Chicago Cops In Close Quarters - "Bodycam footage showed officers as they responded to the scene and tried to make contact with a suspect later identified as 45-year-old Bruce Lua... “Hey buddy, just drop it, man!” one officer yelled to him. “Hey! Stop right there! Show me your hands!”  Lua ignored them and continued walking down the street and into an alleyway, the video showed.  Police followed him for several blocks on foot... Two officers got out and ordered Lua to show his hands as he continued heading straight for them, the video showed. “Why?” the suspect retorted, as he drew out a handgun and fired at them from just feet away, hitting them both.  A barrage of gunfire ensued as multiple officers fired back at the suspect, who collapsed to the ground.  “They shoot me!” Lua yelled out.  “You shot at us,” a backup officer told him.""
Of course the ACAB contingent are sad the police didn't die

Meme - "If being shot is "a risk officers take" with the job then isn't being shot al risk criminals take when breaking the law?"

Black Lives Matter and Biden Bros smash windows, toss flare, reportedly set fire to Louisville Library - "Louisville: protesters just lit the main library on fire. Theyre burning books now. Any books. All books. Knowledge is White supremacy or something"
Liberals used to be against book burning

Ian Miles Cheong on Twitter - "Black Lives Matter protesters harass elderly restaurant patrons in St. Pete and threaten to “knock your old ass out.” Disgusting. Absolutely f’ing disgusting."

Escape The Echo Chamber - Posts | Facebook - "In the middle of a moral panic the desire to censor the heretics is viewed as essential. Because some police officers are bad, then no stories of positive police behavior should be shared.  That’s bullshit.  Change does not happen quicker when only the stick is used and the carrot is ignored. To effect change you criticize the bad and acknowledge the good. The problem is not solved by reinforcing us vs them tribalism.  Yes, some officers and law enforcement agencies protect the bad in an attempt to protect the tribe. That’s wrong and the reality of that behavior should not be ignored. But if you follow police discipline cases, there are plenty of officers what will report unprofessional behavior and testify against who they believe to be “bad cops”. This happens every day in America.  So, yes, I will point out the positives stories involving heroism and kindness among the men and women in blue. I will also point out the abuses as well.  If you want to end the practice of judging a broad group of people based on the actions of a few, then you stop judging broad groups of people by the actions of the few."

Black-owned businesses struggling at George Floyd Square - "Black merchants near the once-thriving corner of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue said police have abandoned the blocked-off intersection, creating a dangerous autonomous zone that has seen crime spike and business evaporate.  “The city left me in danger,” the owner of Smoke In The Pit restaurant told The Post Thursday.  “They locked us up on here and left us behind,” said the merchant, who asked to be identified only as Alexander W. for fear of reprisals.  “They left me with no food, no water, nothing to eat,” he said. “The police, fire trucks, can’t come in here.”  On Thursday the intersection was essentially abandoned — save for the occasional gawker who posed for photos in front of a mural outside Cup Foods, the convenience store where Floyd allegedly passed a counterfeit $20 bill.  At least five stores along one block are shuttered. Owners and workers at most of the stores that do remain open were too afraid to comment to The Post.  “Look around, things are empty,” said Richard Roberts, who works at the nearby Worldwide Outreach for Christ church. “What can we do about it?”... The black-owned businesses say they have lost 75-percent of their business since the Floyd memorial sprouted up shortly after his death — and have even launched a GoFundMe fundraising page in a desperate bid to stay afloat.  The merchants “feel they have been the sacrificial lambs” in the city’s response to Floyd’s death, according to the fundraising page... The city barricaded the intersection to allow for the Floyd memorial to be erected.  Phil Khalar, a member of the group that oversees the memorial, said the merchants’ complaints are part of “a false narrative.”  “It’s not like we are telling delivery drivers or customers not to come in,” he said. “This area has always been violent.”  Khalar said Bloods gang members “keep us safe in their own way.” But residents and businesses complain that a new element of lawlessness has seeped into the area recently — with left-wing militants and gang members turning it into a “volatile” autonomous zone. Police said last month they would retake the intersection and restore safety, but gave no timeline... And it has yet to happen — even after a jury on Tuesday convicted ex-Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin of murder and manslaughter charges in Floyd’s death."
Lived experiences are a false narrative when liberals disapprove

Activists in George Floyd 'autonomous zone' in Minneapolis refuse to leave after Chauvin verdict - "The autonomous zone was established after the death of George Floyd in May. Gates and jury-rigged barriers set up by activists, enclose 'George Floyd Square,' a four block area from 37th to 39th Streets South and Columbus and Elliott Avenues East, that serves as a memorial in the neighborhood where Floyd died. Concrete barricades were set up by the city of Minneapolis last year to protect activists and serve as barriers for the zone. In September 2020, Minneapolis Police Chief john Elder denied the zone existed... Activists do not allow police inside the zone and have even banned white people from time to time. Neighbors told the Washington Times that they have tried working with protesters, and asked that traffic not be disrupted. Activists allegedly responded with threats. They added that safety concerns have caused people to move out of the neighborhood and pointed to multiple for-sale signs and empty houses nearby. The Twitter account which claims to post on behalf of the zone posted on Wednesday, "We don’t need the mayor’s permission to make decisions about our city. 38th & Chicago will be held until our demands are met." Minneapolis officials had previously claimed that they would reopen the autonomous zone after the murder trial of Chauvin. However activists in the zone have issued two dozen demands they say must be met before they will stand down. The demands include investing over $700,000 into the zone... Social justice-themed yard signs are common in the area with residents struggling to reconcile their beliefs with the rise in violence and decline in quality of life. Businesses have also left the area.  Police are banned from the zone and reporters have been threatened for filming to close to the barricades. The area has been the site of increasing violence and multiple shootings. Residents blame gang violence, BLM activists and protests as the primary cause of the unrest and crime in the area. According to News Nation, "Violent crime at the intersection and the blocks immediately surrounding it rose dramatically in 2020, though crime also increased citywide. There were 19 nonfatal and fatal shootings in the area in 2020, including 14 shootings from May 1 through Aug. 31. That’s compared with three shootings in all of 2019 and none during the summer months." Earlier this month, the city of Minneapolis passed a $1 million bailout plan for businesses suffering from inside of the autonomous zone... a sign at the entrance of the zone "includes a special set of instructions for white people." white people are asked to "contribute to the energy of the space, rather than drain it." Any "processing" must be brought to "other white folks" so that "BIPOC" community members are not harmed. white visitors who see other white folks doing "problematic things" are told to "speak up with compassion to take the burden (off of) Black folks and our siblings or color whenever appropriate," and "engage rather than escalate, so that it can be a learning moment rather than a disruption.""

Remember That Story Of Women Attacked On A Bus in London? YUP Fake News - YouTube
Tim Pool points out that from the CCTV of the Melania Geymonat case, one of the lesbians (Christine Hannigan) actually started the physical violence by attacking one of the boys - punching him in the face - and that none of the media are pointing out this very important fact

Boy’s sentence increased for ‘homophobic’ abuse of bus couple - "The boy – who cannot be named due to his age – admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress against the two women. He also admitted theft of Geymonat’s handbag and handling Hannigan’s stolen phone. The handbag and phone were later recovered after the 16-year-old was arrested at his south London home.  Andrew Mooney, defending, said the boy had not thrown coins or made homophobic gestures like his co-defendants. But the chair of the magistrates, Peter Bullet, increased the sentence due to the homophobic nature of the incident in general."

Boy given court order for homophobic abuse of couple on bus - "The court also heard the 15-year-old handed the 17-year-old coins that he then threw at the couple, prompting a scuffle between Hannigan and one of the teenagers.  Shortly before the trial, all three admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress against the two women."
Tellingly, none of the 3 were hit for attacking the lesbians

Liberals get around this by claiming you can only "punch up"

Meme - "@EricaJoy - 2021 ally challenge: if a product, service, or company is built by either all men or all white people, you don't use your platform (social, newsletters, blogs, etc) to champion it, promote it, or help it gain traction (yes, even if it's a portfolio company, VCs). who's in?"
"You are writing this trash in a language evolved among white people, using the internet which was invented almost entirely by white men. Feel free to boycott both, the world will be a better place for it."
SJWs can refuse to use modern medicine and die off, leaving the world a better place

Being Classically Liberal - Posts | Facebook - "Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and  successful. They hate America, they hate Western civilization, they hate white males, they hate rationality. The reasons that leftists give for  hating the West, etc. clearly do not correspond with their real motives.  They SAY they hate the West because it is warlike, imperialistic, sexist, ethnocentric and so forth, but where these same faults appear in socialist countries or in primitive cultures, the leftist finds excuses for them, or at best he GRUDGINGLY admits that they exist; whereas he ENTHUSIASTICALLY points out (and often greatly exaggerates) these faults where they appear in Western civilization. Thus it is clear that these faults are not the leftist’s real motive for hating America and the West. He hates America and the West because they are strong and successful. Words like “self-confidence,” “self-reliance,” “initiative,” “enterprise,”  “optimism,” etc., play little role in the liberal and leftist vocabulary.  The leftist is anti-individualistic, pro-collectivist. He wants society to  solve everyone’s problems for them, satisfy everyone’s needs for them, take care of them. He is not the sort of person who has an inner sense of confidence in his ability to solve his own problems and satisfy his own needs. The leftist is antagonistic to the concept of competition because, deep inside, he feels like a loser."

The anti-porn religious lobby just destroyed the livelihoods of thousands of pornographers - "Pornhub's new policies will have the most devastating effects on marginalized pornographers. People of color and trans performers, for example, have found spaces for individual entrepreneurship online, in an industry that historically would rarely hire them. We must recognize that Pornhub's censorship and the move to restrict payment processing for all sex workers will have the most devastating effects on the most marginalized."
Trust Salon to put a SJW angle on this
I like that they blame the "anti-porn religious lobby" when CNN reports that it was due to a New York Times report

White Democrat Leaders Take Stand Against White Privilege By Resigning From Congress | The Babylon Bee - ""We must make space for people of color to be heard," said Senator Chuck Schumer, who had donned a rasta dreadlock wig and beanie. "And the place where white privilege is most prominent is here in Congress, where old, white people make rules for a bunch of oppressed people. No longer. Effective today, we all resign."  "I bless the rains down in Africa, and Wakanda forever," he said, solemnly performing the Wakandan salute.  Joe Biden also declared he would be resigning from Congress but aides quickly reminded him he's not in Congress and he's running for the presidency and his name is Joe Biden."

Facebook - "Black Americans saw a 58 percent increase in gun ownership in the past year, the largest of any demographic. LGBTQ+ and BIPOC across the board saw massive increases in gun purchases and new owners. Don’t let the chuds take gun culture as their own. Claim what is yours, and encourage your comrades to do the same."
Is gun control now racist?

Sarah Campbell on Twitter - "After an earnest chat about "tone deaf" being offensive to the hard of hearing, my editing FB group are now having a woke circle jerk over "spineless": offensive to people with spina bifida. They suggested "weak" as an alternative, but someone with lupus was offended (really).

My Book Defending Free Speech Has Been Pulled - "I recently completed a book defending free speech. Emerald Press scheduled it for publication but then decided not to proceed...
'I am contacting you in regard to your manuscript In Defense of Free Speech: The University as Censor. Emerald believes that its publication, in particular in the United Kingdom, would raise serious concerns. By the nature of its subject matter, the work addresses sensitive topics of race, religion, and gender. The challenging manner in which you handle these topics as author, particularly at the beginning of the work, whilst no doubt editorially powerful, increase the sensitivity and the risk of reaction and legal challenge...   There are two main causes of concern for Emerald. Firstly, the work could be seen to incite racial hatred and stir up religious hatred under United Kingdom law. Clearly you have no intention of promoting racism but intent can be irrelevant. For example, one test is merely whether it is “likely” that racial hatred could be stirred up as a result of the work. This is a particular difficulty given modern means of digital media expression. The potential for circulation of the more controversial passages of the manuscript online, without the wider intellectual context of the work as a whole and to a very broad audience—in a manner beyond our control—represents a material legal risk for Emerald.  Secondly, there are many instances in the manuscript where the actions, conversations and behavior of identifiable individuals at specific named colleges are discussed in detail and at length in relation to controversial events. Given the sensitivity of the issues involved, there is both the potential for serious harm to Emerald’s reputation and the significant possibility of legal action'...
Does Britain have free speech? The above letter inspired me to change the title from “In Defense of Free Speech: The University as Censor” to “A Banned Book: Free speech and universities.”...
I then chart the history of the sins of universities against free speech with an emphasis on the McCarthy era (when conservatives barred or fired those they considered suspect), through the transitional period of Vietnam, to the present (when many on the “left” do much the same, particularly student protest groups). I detail the use of speech codes, and trigger warnings, and departments that have a party line (“Walden codes”) to discipline, expel, fire, and, above all, to defend indoctrination rather than education.  I include among the latter some African American studies departments that will not assign books or papers by conservative thinkers, some women’s studies departments that reject incontrovertible social science that runs counter to the official feminist ideology, and some (almost all) education departments that define their purpose as sending out “missionaries” to convert schools to their vision of an egalitarian society. I also provide a history of America’s schoolteachers, tracing how the low status of their profession has made the schools susceptible to adopting a missionary role.   Finally, I criticize the failure of universities to provide their students with the critical intelligence they need to be autonomous human beings and good citizens, despite the fact that they all state this as their chief objective... If upsetting students or staff or the public is a reason for banning speech, all such discussion is at an end. I end the book by quoting from George Orwell’s original preface to Animal Farm, which was itself rejected by Faber and Faber for being too critical of Stalin: “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”"
Of course, liberals will say there is no problem, and accuse those of who talk about Orwellianism of being the real problem

American Pravda: Racial Discrimination at Harvard - "unbeknownst to myself or other outside observers, Harvard itself launched an internal investigation of the anti-Asian bias that I had alleged. Apparently, the university’s own initial results generally confirmed my accusations, indicating that if students were admitted solely based upon objective academic merit, far more Asians would receive thick envelopes. But Harvard’s top administrators buried the study and did nothing, with these important facts only coming out years later during the discovery process of the current Asian Quotas lawsuit...   For many years, there had been a widespread belief within the Asian-American community that such discriminatory practices existed, a sentiment backed by considerable anecdotal evidence. But the university administrations had always flatly denied those claims, and the media had shown little interest in investigating them. However, my powerful new quantitative evidence proved very difficult to ignore...
'Asians appear under-represented relative to Jews by a factor of seven, while non-Jewish whites are by far the most under-represented group of all, despite any benefits they might receive from athletic, legacy, or geographical distribution factors. The rest of the Ivy League tends to follow a similar pattern'...
Jewish students were roughly 1,000% more likely to be enrolled at Harvard and the rest of the Ivy League than white Gentiles of similar ability. This was an absolutely astonishing result given that under-representation in the range of 20% or 30% is often treated by courts as powerful prima facie evidence of racial discrimination.  Furthermore, I noted the possibility that this discrepancy might be related to the overwhelming Jewish dominance of the top administration of those institutions...
'any hint of “anti-Semitism” in admissions is regarded as an absolutely mortal sin, and any significant reduction in Jewish enrollment may often be denounced as such by the hair-trigger media. For example, in 1999 Princeton discovered that its Jewish enrollment had declined to just 500 percent of parity, down from more than 700 percent in the mid-1980s, and far below the comparable figures for Harvard or Yale. This quickly resulted in four front-page stories in the Daily Princetonian, a major article in the New York Observer, and extensive national coverage in both the New York Times and the Chronicle of Higher Education. These articles included denunciations of Princeton’s long historical legacy of anti-Semitism and quickly led to official apologies, followed by an immediate 30 percent rebound in Jewish numbers. During these same years, non-Jewish white enrollment across the entire Ivy League had dropped by roughly 50 percent, reducing those numbers to far below parity, but this was met with media silence or even occasional congratulations on the further “multicultural” progress of America’s elite education system.'"
But if you point out that "White Privilege" is really "Jewish Privilege"...

Facebook - "A new Justice Department probe found that Yale racially discriminated against applicants. I'm sure everyone is supremely outraged and ready to protest. Calm down everyone. Oh just a little bit of additional info: the students they rejected based on race were white and Asian. ....hello? Anyone there? Where'd everyone go?"
Naturally Biden dropped the lawsuit despite the lip service about Asians

Princeton Admitted Past Racism. Now It Is Under Investigation. - The New York Times - "The Trump administration said this week that it was investigating whether Princeton has violated federal civil rights law, suggesting that a public expression of contrition for a history of “systemic racism” at the university was an acknowledgment of illegal behavior.  “You admitted Princeton’s educational program is and for decades has been racist,” federal officials wrote in a letter to the school... “based on its admitted racism,” Princeton may have received more than $75 million in taxpayer funding under false pretenses since Mr. Eisgruber became president in 2013."

Muslim Privilege in Singapore

Grievance mongers will dismiss him as an Uncle Tun:

Azri Zulfarhan

"Sometimes i feel sad when some muslim brothers and sisters say that our country or society isnt or hasnt do much for community.

And ill ask: have we, as muslim done the same for others?

We insist to cater no pork no lard items, specifically halal certified food for an event, yet we are not sensitive about ordering beef, forgetting d significance of it to our hindu friends.

Sometimes we even forget to cater vegeterian options, and our friends have to look for side dishes or vegs which we know its almost non existant in our diet 🤣

We push to have musollah at many places. Yet we cringe when our friends burn incents and place altars for their daily prayers too.

We get extra time off from lunch (and companies has been nice to not dock our pay, 4hrs a month @ 52hrs a year for it) on fridays to perform our friday prayers and our colleagues have been supportive, even pushing back fridays meetings (FRIDAY MEETINGS! IKR?) to accomodate or cover us.

We are priviledged to have the provisions n religious liberty we have to practise our faith as compared to other countries.

We have even halal segregated shopping centre aisle/chiller/sections. Not to forget non muslim entities that go above and beyond for the halal cert. (Can u imagine if meknonel isnt halal anymore?)

We are free to practise our prayers even without a designated prayer space. And when we have one, the cleaning staff also help to upkeep it, tho of a diff faith sometimes.

We have a almost "freehold"-"retirement" real estate in lim chu kang in a land scarse country where our counterparts are strongly encouraged to cremate, if their faith permits. Sure from a landed property to a shared BTO...but neighbours or roomies! Right?

We have neighbours who help usher traffic during heavy parking period on fridays n festivities. N road users who dont damage them with spray paints or carjackings. The bus companies even increase their bus frequency just for that period! And dont forget the saman machines that suddenly become spoil for tat hour.

We are fortunate to be living in a multi cultural and multi racial society. We have integrated well in d last 200 yrs. Florished in the last 50ish years together.

Lets not just see what we are missing. Appreciate wat we have too. As how our fellow singaporeans too have their priviledges of the practises their faith.

Kathryn Marshall: Shameful that Toronto school board opposed Marie Henein event - "In 2016, I attended an event where Marie Henein was the keynote speaker. It was one of those events geared to young women in the legal profession... Henein told the crowd of young female lawyers in the room to avoid becoming cynical about the justice system and to never forget why we went to law school in the first place. She said “take your rightful place in this profession” and be confident about what you are doing...   I was, therefore, disgusted and appalled to learn that the organizer of a book club for adolescent girls was told by the Toronto District School Board that they would not promote an event scheduled with Henein this month about her new book, Nothing But the Truth: A Memoir . As reported by the Globe and Mail , the book club, which is largely attended by teenaged girls who come from low-income families, had planned an event where the girls would discuss the book and meet with Henein for a virtual discussion. Apparently, Henein is too good at her job for the liking of the TDSB.  Tanya Lee, the organizer of the book club for four years, has alleged that she was told by the TDSB last month that they would not be promoting the event to their students because Henein defended former CBC radio host Jian Ghomeshi, who was acquitted of multiple sexual assault charges. Apparently this sends the wrong message to girls. In the past, the TDSB has promoted Lee’s book club events.  It is so absurd it is hard to believe this actually happened.  The only wrong message this is sending to girls is that it isn’t ok to be the best in your field unless what you are doing is within the confines of what society believes women should be doing...  It is outrageous to hold a lawyer responsible for the alleged conduct of his or her clients. The job of a lawyer is to advocate for the rights of their client. Heinein does this extremely well and is top of her game. In the criminal defence context, strong advocacy is of utmost importance given the significant imbalance of power that exists between an accused and the state. Lawyers like Henein hold the state to account and help to uphold the justice system.  When Globe and Mail went to the school board for comment, the TDSB attempted to gaslight all of us into believing it was one giant misunderstanding.  Henein of course is having none of this spin, and has stated “there are words for this. Misunderstanding is not one of them.”  Shame on the TDSB for reinforcing the glass ceiling."

If Isaac Newton can be cancelled, no one is safe - "The administrators in charge of higher education in the UK have embraced some of the worst features of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. One of the aims of the Cultural Revolution was to mobilise young people to loathe their ancestors and to purge the present of their influence. It seems that Sheffield University has wholeheartedly embraced this doctrine and is planning to discredit the reputation of one of the world’s greatest scientists, Sir Isaac Newton. In the case of the Chinese Cultural Revolution, the purging of the past was promoted because it was viewed as essential for the realisation of communism. British university bureaucrats, on the other hand, justify their war against the nation’s historical figures in the name of the sacred principle of diversity.   A leaked copy of the ‘draft inclusive curriculum development’ to ‘decolonise’ the engineering curriculum at Sheffield University warns that Newton may have benefited from ‘colonial-era activity’. Apparently, the engineering faculty at Sheffield will decolonise its curriculum in an effort to tackle ‘long-standing conscious and unconscious biases’ among students, to challenge ‘Eurocentric’ and ‘white saviour’ approaches to science and maths, and to promote ‘inclusive design’. That is another way of saying students should feel guilty and show their loathing for the founders of the science they are studying. It is important to understand that the planned ‘inclusive curriculum development’ has nothing to do with academic education, and has even less to do with engineering or science. Its sole aim is to distance engineering students from their nation’s past and to make them feel that there is something morally wrong with the intellectual and scientific legacy of their discipline. Its objective is to socialise students to despise their background and induce a sense of guilt... If they come for Newton, then it is only a matter of time before individuals like Louis Pasteur, Michael Faraday or Albert Einstein will be targeted by the know-nothing, philistine, diversity-inspired cultural revolutionaries. So it is not surprising that Sheffield’s draft curriculum indicates that world-renowned scientists like Paul Dirac, Pierre-Simon Laplace and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz could also ‘be considered as benefiting from colonial-era activity’.   The outlook that inspires the proposed engineering curriculum is best described as a form of woke presentism. Presentism incites people to despise their past. It encourages a sense of moral complacency and self-congratulation. It flatters students who buy into this project. They may not be on the same scientific plane as Newton, but because they have acknowledged their unconscious bias, they are a better person than the leading light of the scientific revolution. In recent years, historically illiterate diversity entrepreneurs have come for virtually every leading figure of the Western Enlightenment. Edinburgh University has decided to rename its Hume tower because some students claim that the 18th-century philosopher’s views on race cause them distress. The liberal philosopher David Hume, who is now branded a racist, apparently fails to measure up to the present-day standards set by diversity trainers. From this standpoint, John Locke, whose philosophy developed the idea of tolerance, is just another 17th-century racist. Adam Smith, another towering figure of the Scottish Enlightenment, is also a racist, apparently. According to one 21st-century critic of Smith, his sin was to make a distinction between ‘savage’ and ‘civilised’ nations.   One of the main advantages of presentism is that it endows its supporters with a sense of moral superiority – at least over important historical figures. Whenever the past is interpreted through the prism of present concerns, it inevitably fails to match up to the supposedly superior values of the 21st-century diversity industry."

Tulane Canceled a Talk by the Author of an Acclaimed Anti-Racism Book After Students Said the Event Was 'Violent' - "Life of a Klansman: A Family History of White Supremacy is the latest book by Edward Ball, whose award-winning 1998 book Slaves in the Family traces the histories of people enslaved by Ball's own ancestors. In Klansman, Ball tells the story of a racist great-grandfather who joined the Ku Klux Klan.  The New York Times hailed it as "a haunting tapestry of interwoven stories that inform us not just about our past but about the resentment-bred demons that are all too present in our society today," and the anti-racism scholar Ibram X. Kendi participated in a virtual discussion about it with Ball. Tulane University was slated to host another such event, featuring Ball and Lydia Pelot-Hobbs, an assistant professor of geography and African American studies.  That event was supposed to take place tonight, but the university opted to postpone it following blinkered outrage from students who insisted that the event was "not only inappropriate but violent towards the experience of Black people in the Tulane community and our country." Other members of the Tulane community called it "harmful and offensive," and demanded its cancellation. Still others said the university should apologize and take action against whoever approved the event. (I verified that the people who made these kinds of comments were Tulane students, graduates, and employees. I chose not to name most of them in order to prevent individual harassment, though I did identify two student government officials who affixed their names to an appalling demand for censorship.) The feedback was so unhinged that a casual observer might wonder whether they mistakenly thought the book was written by a Klansman, or endorsed the Klan. The comments on the event's announcement page—as well as statements by student government officials—make it abundantly clear this is not the case. They know exactly what the book's point of view is.  "The last thing we need to do is allow someone who is even reflecting on the hatred of their ancestors to speak about white supremacy, even if their efforts come from a place of accountability," one student wrote on Instagram.   "There is nothing that a book on white supremacy written by the descendant of a Klansman can do to promote or influence an anti-racism atmosphere," wrote another.  But this wasn't just random students leaving comments; Tulane's student government weighed in as well. In a letter to the administration "on behalf of the entire student body," Undergraduate Student Government Vice President Ingeborg Hyde and Liberal Arts Student Government President Amanda Krantz demanded the event's cancellation. And they did not mince words...   Again, this is a book that NPR called "resonant and important." The New Republic—currently one of the woke-est of the progressive magazines—wrote that Ball "builds a psychological portrait of white supremacy, which then radiates outward and across time, to explain the motives and historical background behind racist violence." Yet leaders of Tulane's student body think it is their solemn duty to prevent anyone from learning about this history...   One Tulane graduate commented on the Instagram post about the event's postponement that he was disappointed with this decision. An associate director in Tulane's admissions office responded: "Go cry about it."  This controversy has unfolded at a time of increasing public focus on racism; In July, Tulane University's Black Student Union released a list of poorly-thought-out demands that included the enactment of a zero-tolerance policy for offensive language, as well as reparations for students who suffered emotional trauma.   It would be one thing if the students were merely demanding additional speakers of color, but their comments make clear that they do not believe someone like Ball should speak under any circumstances—and that they consider the very suggestion that he be allowed to speak (in a virtual space) an act of violence against marginalized students. They are possessed of a smug certainty that he has nothing of value to say to anyone at Tulane. This view is ridiculous and should be anathema at a university."

Oxford college run by former equalities head apologises for hosting Christian conference - "An Oxford college run by the former head of the equalities watchdog has apologised to students for hosting a Christian conference...   In what has been described as the latest incident of “cancel culture” at British Universities, Worcester College acknowledged the "distress" that it had caused students by hosting a Christian Concern training camp, and vowed to use the profits for "diversity initiatives".   The move comes just months after David Isaac took over as the Provost of the college from his role as chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).  He was previously chairman of LGBT charity Stonewall.  During his time at the helm of the EHRC, it released guidelines for universities and student unions in order to protect freedom of expression amid growing criticism of no-platforming decisions.  Mr Isaac also wrote a blog, Freedom of Speech in Education, in which he set out “core principles”, including “that decisions about speakers and events should seek to promote and protect the right to freedom of expression”.   It is understood that he personally ordered an investigation into the conference after receiving a complaint from the president of a student union...   The self-styled “People’s Republic of Worcester College” has previously made headlines for its left-wing stance and was until July led by Prof Kate Tunstall, or “Red Kate” as she is called by fellow dons.  As interim provost, she joined a boycott of Oriel College over their decision to keep a controversial statue of Cecil Rhodes, attempted to abolish the traditions of grace before meals and standing for dons, and installed a multi-faith prayer room as an alternative to chapel."
Religious discrimination is good. If the religion is Christianity
Of course Christians who say they are discriminated against are dangerous religious extremists who are untethered from reality and need to be institutionalised

Food bloggers call for word 'curry' to be cancelled over claims it is rooted in British colonialism - ""The word curry does not exist in any South Asian language to my knowledge." Professor Furest attributes the term to the "British bad ear" during colonial rule in India.  Several historians claim British officials misheard the Tamil word 'kari', which has varied meanings depending on the region, but can translate to both "blackened" and "side dish"... Professor Furest claims this is why 'curry' should not be used as an umbrella term, because it is largely incorrect and "rooted in white, Christian supremacy"... Ms Bansal says the word does not need to be 'cancelled' completely, as particularly in South India it describes a variety of dishes from meat ones in gravy to vegetable side plates.  "My partner is Sri Lankan, I have friends that are Malayali, friends that are Tamil, and yes they use the word curry""

‘Man of Steel’ star Henry Cavill receives backlash for dating Gina Carano - "the couple dated in 2013 around the time that “Man of Steel” came out. The woke mob grows steadily more deranged

Skidmore student: 'Cancel culture organized against us' - "A Skidmore College student who wanted to bring a Libertarian-leaning group to campus said she was a victim of a threatening smear campaign that resulted in her Young Americans for Liberty chapter being blocked from forming... after more than a 100 negative comments on their Instagram account, YALSkidmore, and a Change.org petition with more than 1,700 signatures, which accused YAL of being racist and homophobic, the Student Government Association told Davis that the chapter cannot establish there over “concerns of hate speech and making students on campus feel unsafe.” Davis said she was also told that YAL “would not have a healthy and sustainable future at Skidmore, and it was beyond a reasonable doubt that it would be unsuccessful.”"
The same people who claim affirming biology denies trans people's existence are threatened by the existence of different opinions

Students Demand Skidmore College Fire an Art Professor for Observing a Pro-Cop Rally - "David Peterson is an art professor at Skidmore College, a private liberal arts college in Saratoga Springs, New York. In late July, the professor and his wife, Andrea Peterson, attended a "Back the Blue" rally—not as supporters of the cause, they say, but as curious spectators... Now Skidmore students are demanding that both Peterson be fired for "engaging in hateful conduct that threatens Black Skidmore students"...   "The Petersons weren't wearing pro-police T-shirts," notes Churchill. "They weren't carrying a banner, holding a sign or waving a black-and-blue flag. They appear to just be listening. But merely listening to an opinion that some Skidmore students find objectionable is apparently enough to get a professor in hot water...   In any case, the boycott is evidently succeeding: Peterson said that most of his students have dropped his classes: Those who think the boycott is ridiculous are afraid to speak up, one student told Churchill. Skidmore's administration defended his free speech rights in a statement, but is nevertheless investigating the accusations of bias in the classroom.  If this is how they treat a professor who is insufficiently committed to their causes, one wonders how progressive students would treat a professor who holds ardently conservative views—or whether they could peacefully engage with another student, administrator, or any human being who disagrees with them. One gets the sense that a certain kind of liberal arts education is, for some extremely sensitive far-left students, no longer preparing them for the real world, or at least not in the sense this was traditionally intended. Indeed, the real world had better be prepared for them."

Actors, writers and producers warn of 'reverse racism' in the film industry - "Two years ago, a 26-year-old racing driver called Conor Daly lost his sponsors because of something said in the 1980s. Daly competes in the full-blooded series run by Nascar – the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing – which is much-loved in the southern USA.  Yet consider this: Daly was not alive at the time of the alleged offence. How had he mis-spoken before he'd even been born?  The answer is he hadn't. Daly lost his sponsorship because his racing driver father was alleged to have made a racial slur three decades earlier. And there was no reprieve. This totalitarian instinct has crept up on us with amazing ease. It is the product of a vindictive Leftism which used only to reside on certain US university campuses... a clip from a recent BBC comedy show, The Mash Report, was posted online. Even for those of us who long ago gave up bothering trying to find anything funny on the BBC, it was jaw-droppingly awful.  It included a segment of two unfunny comedians agreeing with each other in an unfunny manner.   At one stage the female comedian declared 'free speech is now basically a way adult people can say racist stuff without any consequences'. There was no hint of irony.  Wrong-headed certainty like this is ruining comedy like much else, as Ricky Gervais said just a few days ago. Who would dare to make a dangerous joke today? Much safer to make political sermons on the BBC under the guise of 'humour'... Today, charities, public sector bodies and whole corporations are increasingly filled with people who have been told what to say and what to believe. Some have been told by their bosses what books they should read – a sinister development.  Last month I received a leaked letter sent out by an NHS boss in Birmingham. She had told those working under her to read four books on 'white privilege' so they could 'correct' their attitudes...
Civil servant Stella Perrett had supplied edgy cartoons for the Communist Morning Star newspaper for years until February 2020 when she found that being on the Left is no protection against cancellation.   A lifelong feminist, she had strong views about 'self-identifying' trans women being allowed into female-only spaces such as domestic violence refuges and toilets... 'Cartoons are supposed to be edgy – even offensive – to provoke debate, but these days some people seem to want to stifle views which are different from their own.'...
Charlie Shakespeare had his plans for a virtual gay pride parade earlier this year torpedoed because he had retweeted statements from Nigel Farage and free speech campaigner Toby Young.   Left-wing activists led by Labour's diversity adviser announced a boycott when anonymous Twitter posts revealed he was a Tory supporter who had called for a 'clean-break Brexit'...
Dr Adam Perkins, who specialises in the neurobiology of personality, was looking forward to addressing guests at his university, King's College London, on the subject of free speech, but the event two years ago was postponed after organisers said his security could not be guaranteed.  An earlier controversial lecture had been abandoned when it was disrupted by demonstrators, and while a new date was offered, Dr Perkins was not available and the lecture never took place.  King's, dubbed 'Cancel College' by one of its academics in a recent anonymous article for The Critic magazine, has been accused of becoming a particularly 'woke' institution.  In a book entitled The Welfare Trait, Dr Perkins had argued that children whose families depend on benefits tend to be less motivated and more resistant to employment than their parents.  He recommended that policies should be altered so the welfare state did not encourage families in disadvantaged households to have more children.  His views sparked complaints to his employers, a response that Dr Perkins says is a favoured route for cancellation... 'The unfortunate truth is that scientists like me are permitted to toil away in peace, provided our findings are restricted to obscure journals, but the moment we publicly blaspheme we are targeted by the Witchfinder Generals of the academy.   To be fair to King's, the fact I still have a job there despite multiple attempts by the liberal lynch-mob to get me fired shows that it does actually stand up for academic freedom. The same can't be said of other universities, which have caved in and fired non-PC academics after campaigns by online mobs of Left-wingers.'...
Dr Mike McCulloch found himself under investigation by his employers at the University of Plymouth for 'liking' tweets saying that 'all lives matter' and 'gender is real' on his Twitter account.  The PhD physics lecturer made clear that 'opinions are mine & not those of my employer', but this did not satisfy those angry at his dissent from the liberal academic orthodoxy.  Earlier this month, the 51-year-old former Labour Party member was summoned to a hearing after a colleague sent copies of his Twitter feed to his bosses.  'I was reported to the equalities team over tweets I'd liked, including the 'all lives matter' one and another opposing mass immigration,' said Dr McCulloch, who has worked at the university for a decade. 'I was told there would be an investigation by a senior colleague with a panel, and I could feel my career slipping away.  'I could sense they were going to ask me to promise not to express my political views on Twitter, and I don't like people telling me what I can say or think, and I would have had to say no.'  His ordeal ended when the Free Speech Union found a lawyer for Dr McCulloch who pointed out that universities are required to protect the right to freedom of speech of their staff under the Human Rights Act 1998.  'When the lawyer wrote to the university to ask which rule I'd actually broken, they dropped the case the next day,' said the academic. 'It's very sinister if people are now telling me what I am allowed to 'like'."

WARMINGTON: In wake of Canucks singer's firing, Don Cherry reminds only the 'left's view' tolerable - "Don Cherry said Vancouver Canucks anthem singer Mark Donnelly made two mistakes that got him fired.  One, is not owning the hockey team. Two, is forgetting the trouble that comes with speaking your mind today... In 2020 there seems be only one decided-upon view permitted and no debate. An opinion cannot only make a person jobless, but also ostracized.  Same goes for those daring to support that person’s right to that opinion."

Nathan J Robinson on Twitter - "There is no cancel culture. The fastest way to get a book deal in this country is to whine about cancel culture. Every single one of these people ends up on their feet. They are fine. They have giant platforms. They are heard loud and clear. Right-wing opinions are everywhere."
Nathan J Robinson on Twitter - "One of the most serious threats to free speech is the silencing of criticism of the government of Israel. I have now found this out the hard way, having just been fired as a Guardian columnist for sending a tweet about US military aid to Israel"
I guess he's not for "accountability culture"

Biden Voters Posting Their L's - Posts | Facebook - "Some days I have to search high and low, today is not one of those days."

Biden's credibility is in tatters - "After just eight months in office, Biden already looks like a lame duck, his administration beset by a massive southern border crisis of its own making, out-of-control government spending with a national debt approaching a staggering $30 trillion, a worsening Covid pandemic, and a foreign policy disaster of epic proportions in south Asia. The only thing Biden has going for him is his vice president, Kamala Harris, comes across as even more incompetent and unpopular than he is. In nearly 20 years in Washington, I have watched countless UN addresses broadcast live on American television screens, from four different presidents. Biden’s was quite possibly the worst in terms of sheer hypocrisy and a complete lack of substance. I suspect America’s enemies were delighted by Biden’s remarks, and US allies were mightily unimpressed.   This was a cowardly speech designed not to offend the adversaries of the free world. Biden made no direct mention of China or Russia, the United States’ two biggest opponents, and no specific reference to Islamist terrorism. He made no attempt to hold Beijing’s Communist rulers to account over the Uighur genocide or its lack of transparency and cooperation over the origins of Covid-19.  At the United Nations, the president of the most powerful nation on earth was reduced to selling a slick PR slogan, “the Build Back Better World,” the sort of marketing concept that might once have sounded chic in a Coca-Cola commercial from the 1970s...   Senior officials I have spoken to in both the UK and continental Europe fear the damage the Biden presidency is inflicting on the transatlantic alliance will be long-lasting and possibly irreparable unless the next US administration takes a dramatically different approach. They believe that the next three and a half years of the Biden era could be the most dangerous moment for the West since World War Two, with the enemies of the free world, from Beijing to Moscow, Pyongyang and Tehran, in addition to an array of Islamist terror movements, ready to test the resolve of a weakened United States.  For all the global liberal condemnation of Donald Trump, his administration never abandoned America’s leadership role, and firmly rejected the siren call of isolationism. As the Commander in Chief, his view was very clear: The US will stand with its allies, including the United Kingdom, and America’s enemies should fear its power. This is the exact opposite of the Biden doctrine, which is leaving the US weaker and more vulnerable internationally."

Joe Biden on Twitter - "President Trump threatening the mass deportation of immigrants is cruel and un-American. We can fix our broken immigration system and enforce our laws without tossing aside our values."
The New York Times on Twitter - "The first group of Haitian migrants expected to be deported from Texas has landed in Port-au-Prince. Haitian officials have beseeched the Biden administration to stop returning thousands of people to a country reeling from several crises."

Joe Biden blasted by Alberta for demanding more OPEC oil after cancelling Keystone XL - "Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security adviser, criticized global oil producers Wednesday, saying, “At a critical moment in the global recovery, this is simply not enough.” Sullivan also said in the statement: “Higher gasoline costs, if left unchecked, risk harming the ongoing global recovery.”... “ Our producers can easily produce that oil if your Administration will just stay out of the way,” tweeted George Abbott, the Republican governor of Texas. “Allow American workers—not OPEC —(to) produce the oil that can reduce the price of gasoline. Don’t make us dependent on foreign sources of energy.”... Biden doesn’t want to jeopardize his climate change-fighting policy target of the U.S. achieving net zero carbon production by 2050"
Apparently it doesn't lose you virtue signalling points to ask for oil from far away. Out of sight, out of mind

Meme - CNN Politics: "President Biden shows he's ready to make drastic moves in the Covid-19 fight - even if he's not sure they're legal I Analysis"
""Even if he's not sure they're legal"???? What the hell!? Yet somehow the government wonders why we don't trust them."

The Media Would Like Everyone to Know Biden Eulogized a KKK Exalted Cyclops, Not Grand Wizard - "Media fact checking is a corrupt suppressive industry.  As discussed yesterday, one of the patented media fact checking gimmicks is to make true stories seem false by finding a somewhat inaccurate version of them and fact checking that version...   The fact checks all come down to the same thing. Senator Robert Byrd was a Klan recruiter who was so good at it that a Klavern was set up and he received the honorary title of Exalted Cyclops, which is the highest level within a chapter, he was not a Grand Wizard.   Okay.  Plenty of conservative publications correctly stated Byrd's title. And the distinction has a difference, but it's also deliberate nitpicking to distract from the substantive issue, which is that Byrd was a Klan leader and it was that organization which helped propel him into a life in politics.  Or to put it another way, if President Trump had eulogized a Klan leader, the takeaway would not be fact checks as to his exact title.   This is a particular type of media fact check which uses nitpicking to divert attention from the substantive issue while making it appear that the accurate statements about Biden and Byrd are false. And since Big Tech elevates this media spin under the guise of fact checks, that means anyone searching for the real story will get a barrage of media disinformation instead.  That's what this is, disinformation."

Biden used cheat sheet during his first press conference - "New photos reveal several cheat sheets used by President Biden during his Thursday press conference — including one with the headshots and names of reporters he planned to call on.  The president also used notes to assist with facts about US infrastructure, a policy area Biden is focusing on during his first months in the White House.  “The United States now ranks 13th globally in infrastructure quality — down from 5th place in 2002,” read one bullet point.  But despite having the answers in front of him, Biden still slipped up, saying America ranked 85th in the world in infrastructure, before correcting himself. The press pool at Thursday’s briefing, the first one held by Biden since taking office 65 days ago, was limited to 25 reporters.  Biden only took questions from a list of journalists whose names and outlets he read from a cue card. A photo of the card shows circled numbers around select reporters.   In the early stages of the 62-minute presser, in which Biden fielded 10 questions, the president appeared to repeatedly lose his train of thought, forgetting questions and asking reporters if they wanted him to give detailed answers... He abruptly wrapped up the press conference, telling reporters, “But folks. I’m going,” without sticking around for a follow-up question."

Biden Reverses Course Again After Backlash and Will Increase Refugee Limit - The New York Times - "After a backlash from Democrats and human rights activists, the White House abruptly reversed course on Friday on the number of refugees it will allow into the United States, a reflection of President Biden’s continuing struggle with immigration policy.  At midday on Friday, the administration had said it would limit the number of refugees allowed into the United States this year to the historically low level of 15,000 set by the Trump administration, breaking an earlier pledge to greatly increase that number and let in more than 60,000 people fleeing war and persecution... The sudden shifts come as the United States struggles with a surge of unaccompanied children and teenagers at the Mexican border, and growing concerns that the increase has already overwhelmed the refugee branch of the Department of Health and Human Services"

GOP and Democrats agree: Press ‘protecting’ Biden - "62% said the media are “protecting Joe Biden by not asking him tough policy questions on issues.”... 55% of Democrats agreed with that assessment, as did 80% of Republicans... Voters also believe that Biden’s press shop is limiting access to the president. By comparison, Trump made himself available nearly daily to the media pool."

Biden Cancer Initiative spent millions on payroll, zero on research: report - "A cancer charity started by Joe Biden gave out no money to research, and spent most of its contributions on staff salaries, federal filings show.  The Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in 2017 by the former vice president and his wife, Jill Biden, to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes,” according to its IRS mission statement. But it gave out no grants in its first two years, and spent millions on the salaries of former Washington, DC, aides it hired...   After only two years, the charity “paused” its operations when Joe Biden and his wife stepped down for his presidential run."

Escape The Echo Chamber - Posts | Facebook - "For the last several administrations, each president has escalated the powers taken by the previous president. I see no reason to expect this change of administrations to be different. Of course, with the shoe on the other foot, what was glorified will be criticized and what was criticized will be glorified."

Ethics group files Hatch Act complaint against WH Press Secretary - "A government watchdog group filed a complaint Friday accusing White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki of violating the federal Hatch Act by praising Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe during her regular briefing...   The complaint from Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington (CREW) to the Office of Special Counsel alleged that Psaki had improperly used her office to affect the outcome of next month’s election."

WATCH: White House press sec defends Chinese Communist Party talking points about 'racist America' | The Post Millennial - "White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked by reporters about a comment made by UN Ambassador for the United States Linda Thomas-Greenfield earlier this week that said US founding principles were "woven with white supremacy.""

Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter - "President Biden shows he's ready to make drastic moves in the Covid-19 fight — even if he's not sure they're legal | Analysis"

PolitiFact | No, Joe Biden didn’t use a racist hand gesture. He was trying to illustrate the number 'zero.' - ""Last week Joe Biden flashed the ‘white power’ sign. President Trump condemned white supremacists yesterday. Why hasn't Joe Biden?”
No, Joe Biden didn’t use a racist hand gesture. He was trying to illustrate the number 'zero.'"
It's only a white supremacist hand sign when done by someone the media doesn't like

Opinion | Another Failed Presidency at Hand - The New York Times - "We find ourselves commemorating the first great jihadist victory over America, in 2001, right after delivering the second great jihadist victory over America, in 2021. The 9/11 memorial at the World Trade Center — water cascading into one void, and then trickling, out of sight, into another — has never felt more fitting... Joe Manchin, Democrat from West Virginia, published an essay in The Wall Street Journal in which he said, “I, for one, won’t support a $3.5 trillion bill, or anywhere near that level of additional spending, without greater clarity about why Congress chooses to ignore the serious effects inflation and debt have on existing government programs.”  Is the White House paying any more attention to Manchin’s message than it did to classified intelligence briefs over the summer warning of the prospect of a swift Taliban victory?... The president might also seize the “strategic pause” Manchin has proposed and push House Democrats to pass the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill without holding it hostage to the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill. Infrastructure is far more popular with middle-of-the-road voters than the Great Society reprise that was never supposed to be a part of the Biden brand.  My sense is that Biden will do neither. The last few months have told us something worrying about this president: He’s proud, inflexible, and thinks he’s much smarter than he really is. That’s bad news for the administration. It’s worse news for a country that desperately needs to avoid another failed presidency."
His comment elsewhere: "people who wish the president success — and that includes me — need to grasp the extent to which he’s in deep political trouble. It isn’t just the Afghan debacle, or worrisome inflation, or his predictions about the end of the pandemic when the virus had other ideas. I think he has misread his political mandate, which was to be a moderate, unifying leader in the mold of the senior George Bush, not a transformational one in the mold of Lyndon Johnson. And he’s trying to do this on the strength of Kamala Harris’s tiebreaking vote in the Senate. I think it’s a recipe for more social division and political failure."

Biden looks at little girl in audience and says "I love those barrettes in your hair SHARE & COMMENT - YouTube - "Joe Biden looks at a little girl in the audience, the daughter of a veteran, and says "I love those barrettes in your hair. Man I’ll tell you what, look at her she looks like she's 19 years old sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed.""

Biden deportation freeze blocked by judge - "A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Biden administration’s move to freeze deportations of illegal immigrants for the next 100-days... In his complaint, Mr Paxton said the directive violates the Administrative Procedure Act, which required that the department seek input from Texas. "

U.S. judge blocks Biden's limits on immigrant arrests, deportation - "A federal judge on Thursday blocked President Joe Biden's administration from enforcing its guidance limiting who can be arrested and deported by U.S. immigration agents, siding with two Republican-led states - Texas and Louisiana - that had challenged it.  U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, in Corpus Christi, Texas, ruled that the February guidance from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency violated a federal law requiring that the government "shall detain" people who commit certain crimes or are otherwise deemed eligible for deportation."

Critical Spectator - Posts | Facebook - "Not even a week has passed since Biden's inauguration and his administration already lied several times. Is it likely that Sleepy Joe is going to be labeled a habitual liar just like Trump was? Not really. The mainstream media are fawning over the man and the new age of peace and progress he reportedly started...
1. No plan to combat the pandemic - Biden admitted there's no way for the administration to change the course of the pandemic despite running on a promise of having a plan and accusing Trump of chaos.
2. 100 million vaccinations in 100 days - the administration promised to vaccinate 100 million people in 100 days and that's a very noble vow. There's just one problem - the country has already been on track to achieve just that thanks to Trump's administration...
3. Allegations that Trump's administration left the country with no plan and Biden has to start from scratch - another obvious lie (given the figures I mentioned above) that was challenged even by Dr. Fauci himself, what led to CNN White House correspondent label him as, quote "a Trump administration holdover". You see how quickly one can fall out of favor by merely stating a fact that is uncomfortable for the new glorious leader and his acolytes?
4. Ban on fracking - Biden flip-flopped on the topic of fracking during the campaign, often contradicting himself. He claimed he never really opposed it and yet one of the first executive orders he signed instated a 60 day ban on new drilling permits on federal land and water, now reportedly extended to a year. It means - no new exploration, no expansion of business. This was a pretty swift blow to the industry, which rattled some people even in Democratic states like New Mexico, that saw an economic boost thanks to oil & gas investment. Though I guess in their case we can simply say - serves you right."

Joe Biden’s 1st Speech To Congress Down From Trump In Early Ratingss - "An estimated 26.9 million people watched the president’s address across 16 broadcast and cable networks, according to Nielsen figures released this afternoon. That’s a steep drop from the 47.7 million who watched Donald Trump’s first speech to a joint session on February 28, 2017."

Biden's job rating sinks to 42 percent in NBC News poll a year from midterms - "A majority of Americans now disapprove of President Joe Biden's job performance, while half give him low marks for competence and uniting the country... 7 in 10 adults, including almost half of Democrats, believe the nation is headed in the wrong direction, as well as nearly 60 percent who view Biden's stewardship of the economy negatively just nine months into his presidency... Democrats trail Republicans on which party better handles the economy, inflation and immigration, while they’ve lost ground on issues like education and the coronavirus... “The promise of the Biden presidency — knowledge, competence and stability in tough times — have all been called into question,” Horwitt continued.  “What people voted for was stability and calm," added fellow Democratic pollster Peter Hart. "And what they got was instability and chaos.”... The NBC News poll comes after a rough summer and early fall for the first-year president, as he’s faced a new surge of coronavirus cases and deaths, fallout from the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, rising inflation, disappointing jobs numbers and Democratic infighting over Biden’s legislative agenda.  More recently, however, Covid-19 cases and deaths are once again on the decline, and Capitol Hill Democrats have made progress on Biden’s legislative priorities, but still haven’t crossed the finish line...  just 37 percent of adults give him high marks — on a 5-point scale — for being competent and effective as president, and only 28 percent give him high marks for uniting the country... Biden’s favorable/unfavorable rating in the poll (40 percent positive, 48 percent negative) is almost identical to Trump’s in the same survey (38 percent positive, 50 percent negative)."

‘Surprise conclusion’: Trump overtakes Biden in popular support among U.S. voters, poll finds - "Former U.S. president Donald Trump has overtaken his successor, Joe Biden, in popular support"

Hostility Against Joe Biden Grows Across the US amid Record-Low Approval Ratings - "President Biden’s approval rating has fallen to 45% just two days after he was booed at a 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City.   The figure, calculated as an average of eight major polls by polling data aggregator Real Clear Politics, follows the President’s implementation of widely unpopular COVID-19 vaccine mandates and the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan which left 13 American service members dead. "

Poll: Joe Biden's Approval Rating Drops More than Any President Since 1953 - "President Biden’s 11-point drop in averaged approval ratings over his first three quarters in office marks the most significant decline in approval during the same point in any presidency since 1953, according to Gallup."
