Naturally, the replies giving him a reality check were accused of hating women.
Attention Young Men: I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it. Step 1: Stop playing video games Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical) Step 4: Go clean your car Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class Step 6: Go to the yoga class Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends) Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night. Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion. Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper. Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite. Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2. Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you. My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.
The problem with Boomer dating advice is that they have zero understanding of casual modern dating so their arguments are defeated by a faulty premise.
All those girls in Chris Hatch’s life ARE dating. They’re just in situationships, regularly hooking up with guys from the apps, or maintaining some other FWB-type arrangement. They SAY they’re not seeing anyone, but that’s only because presuming such a level of commitment jeopardizes their roster spots with Chad.
Chad did not have to waste $100 signing up for yoga or buying multiple bouquets from Trader Joe’s to bang your crush. He casually ordered her up like a pizza on a lazy Tuesday night, and like Domino’s, she was hot and ready at his door in 30 minutes or less.
When you engage in these performative stunts, you’re not impressing her. You’re signaling that you’re a low-status man who knows he has no real shot and has to go ridiculously overboard to compensate.
She’s more likely to laugh at you than find any of this endearing. She won’t be FaceTiming six friends, obsessing over her outfit. She’ll be texting the guy she actually wants to be with and if he’s free, you’ll get hit with a “Heyyyyy, sorry, I totally forgot it was my birthday and I have to pick my aunt up at the airport! Reschedule?” And you’ll never hear from her again.
If Chad’s not free, she’ll humor your stupid little mini-golf date or hike or whatever…before spending the night at Chad’s place anyways.
The REAL issue is that modern dating has cheapened sex to the point where men face a catch-22 that actively discourages traditional courtship while incentivizing dishonesty towards women.
1) While finding a serious relationship is next to impossible, getting laid has never been easier. If you know how to work the apps, you’ll get matches. Stick to the script and humor her nonsense for an hour, you’ll probably get laid.
2) Every attractive woman on the apps matches with every man she swipes right on. All those men know that sticking to the script can get them laid, too.
3) It’s impossible to have a relationship without honesty. But honesty isn’t part of the script. Being honest will A) not get you laid and B) not change her behavior. Legions of other men are willing to stick to the script. Her conclusion won’t be that she’s the problem and needs some introspection, it’ll just be that you’re an asshole.
(Side note: most of our socio-political issues are downstream of this. Women have gone insane because they never receive pushback on their absurd ideas, as pushback jeopardizes getting laid.)
4) Nobody wants a relationship with a girl who puts out of the first date. You’re not special. If she’s sleeping with you on the first date, tons of other men got the same treatment. She’s for the streets.
5) When sex is cheap, a woman who DOESN’T put out on the first date becomes a massive opportunity cost. You could have spent that same time and money on someone who would. If she puts out on the second or third date, it begs the question of whether she has put out on the first date for other men. If so, why not for you? Simp.
Once you’re following the script, women effectively become substitute goods. However, this is not good. You will get laid, but you will never find a partner or be happy. The only ways out are:
1) Dating genuinely traditional women who aren’t participating in hookup culture and for whom casual sex is off the table. But they’re in short supply, they’re looking for equally traditional men and have their pick of the litter, and they’ll sniff out the fakes. Also, let’s face it. 99% of you aren’t willing to sacrifice easy sex and actually be trad.
2) Making peace with your girlfriend’s sexual history and hoping she doesn’t have a triple-digit body count or that she wasn’t spending the first few months of your relationship in another dude’s bed. LOL. LMFAO even.
3) Dropping out of the game entirely. Not an option, king.
There aren’t many good options. Regardless, don’t listen to Boomers.

This is the worst, most outdated dating advice for men that I have seen in years.
Step 1: Give up your hobbies.
Step 2: Join a yoga class that you’ll hate.
Step 3: Meet a girl in yoga class and court her like it’s 1950.
Step 4: Call her on the telephone and ask to take her out on Friday night.
Step 5: Remove all excitement and be completely predictable by telling her exactly what you’ll be doing days in advance.
Step 6: Buy her 2 different kinds of flowers and wrap them in a handmade paper bouquet.
Step 7: Bring the flowers to her doorstep and be a completely neutered pussy all night.
Step 8: Make everything about her and only talk about her life since you’re completely uninteresting.
Step 9: Pay for everything and don’t even think about trying to escalate physically. She’s a lady, you brute.
If you follow all of these steps, you’ll be sure to get some pussy one day. Eventually. Probably. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.π€

Jeffrey Ye on X - "The dating equivalent of boomers saying just walk into Goldman Sachs with your resume and a “firm handshake”"
Rebecca π on X - "Well, I have two teenage sons, they shower, they work out, they know how to talk to young women, they are well read and kind. Both have had girlfriends they were very serious about (the older one told me he planned to marry his HS gf), who dumped them because they (the girls) wanted to explore their options. I think there’s a lot more going on here than you’re aware of and putting the onus entirely on young men does both them and women a huge disservice."
Diana Dahl on X - "I am so tired of the young men being easy targets to put down. The young women have far more issues, I believe."
Devon Eriksen on X - "This is excellent advice for meeting a girl in 1986, but I think young people are going to have some trouble with the time travel part."
Tim (Buckshot) on X - "It was bad advice in 76, worse in 86, worse yet in 96, etc."
Crixus on X - "That will work perfectly, if you are 6 feet+ tall, make six figures as a 20 something, are in perfect shape, have a supercar, are a secret billionaire and possibly an Eastern European prince looking for a down to Earth 5/10 girl to be your billionaire princess. Otherwise, they will treat you like shit for existing in their vicinity and will roast you in their group chat for eternity. This generation of women are irredeemable selfish bitches."

MrsLibertyBelle on X - "I’m a mother of a daughter that age and sons that age up to 30+. The reason “nobody is dating them” is because of the ever-expanding definitions of literally everything involved in courting a woman who may not be interested as “sexual assault” or “attempted sexual assault” or just generally being a creep or a stalker. The MeToo era and the current “most men are rapists” discourse with the Cornell drug-fueled orgy have young men scared out of their minds that unless “she” approaches him and literally says “I am interested in you” then he may be labeled a sexual predator if he asks a woman for her phone number or out for coffee or tries to put himself out there and lean in for an attempt at a kiss. It is really sad."
Rachel Wilson on X - "This has to be rage bait"
Aruvin π on X - "This is, by far, the shittiest dating advice I've read on X, and trust me that's saying a lot. Go back to collecting your social security checks and attending AARP luncheons, boomer. Leave dating advice to the guys who are actually dealing with women in 2026."

Blaming men for the fact women are single only creates more delusional narcissism within women who have their own character flaws needing to be addressed. I’m quite tired of society trying to impose a false reality wherein women are painted as flawless creatures."
Peachy Keenan on X - "No one is dating them for a reason. Here are a few that may apply (the girls you know may have their own reasons):
Overwhelming majority of young women will not date a conservative or anyone who voted for Trump.
If you're under 6 ft.
If you're not extremely successful already.
Guys have learned by that age that cold approaching girls marks them as "creepy." When they try it once and get rejected, get an eye roll, or get told they're too short, not whatever, to their face, they will never cold approach again."
MaraGood85 on X - "Sir... I've been in the vicinity of young women who are barely a "5" turn up their noses at really wonderful young men because they were blue collar and under 6ft tall. Or maybe because their hair wasn't thick enough. Your list isn't going to do jack shit for these young men until these young women start living in reality."
Wargwarn on X - "I know a lot of yoga chicks, some who actually teach at studios. This is how you get banned from a yoga studio lmao. Girls generally do not want to be propositioned at yoga studios or the gym at all. Also this post is so out of touch it’s hilarious."

Buckie58 on X - "Dude will end up on regional Facebook/Instagram as a creep and be completely blacklisted within a few classes. This guy is delusional."
Gia Macool on X - "If I see a guy doing yoga, I’m already gone π Who told you this was good advice? A woman. First dates aren’t marriage auditions or big romantic performances. They’re low-key. Grab a drink, talk for an hour or two, and see if you actually like being around each other. That’s it."
Coach Noah Revoy | Arms Dealer For The Soul π΄☠️ on X - "Nobody picks a woman up at her doorstep for a first date anymore. No woman in her right mind is going to tell a man she has never dated where she lives, unless they already know each other through a shared community, such as a church, where that information is already familiar. And almost every woman under 30 I have spoken with would get a serious case of the ick if a man showed up with flowers on a first date. First dates nowadays are casual, low-key affairs. They are not grand romantic gestures or declarations of serious intent. The purpose is simply to spend a couple of hours together and find out whether you actually enjoy each other's company."

Uncle Curtis πΊπΈ on X - "You’re asking a young man to invest $90–270 and 6–11 hours spread across multiple days for the opportunity to treat a girl like a princess, not talk about himself, and then be friend-zoned when he could be having a great time just hanging out with the fellas?
Here is the full breakdown of what you’re asking him to invest:
Money breakdown (one attempt):
• Prep (haircut $15–25, yoga drop-in $15–30, flowers $8–20, optional car wash $0–15): $38–90
• Date (dinner + activity, paying for both): $50–180
• Grand total: $88–270
Time breakdown (one attempt):
• Prep steps (haircut 20–40 min, shower 15–30 min, car clean 30–60 min, yoga class + travel 90–150 min, flowers 30–45 min, planning 30–60 min, call 5–15 min): roughly 3.5–6.5 hours
• Date itself: 3–5 hours
• Grand total: 6.5–11.5 hours"
