Meme - wanye @wanyeburkett: "You can repeat, "Kamala didn't run on that," until the sun burns out, but at the end of the day this is a Democrat in good standing. Wake me up when Democrats meet the absurdly low bar of believing that you cant be a Democrat if you think the United States is stolen land that should be given away."
rashidatlaib: "This Thanksgiving, we mourn the Indigenous people killed by European settlers and the United States in order to steal their land. From here to Palestine, we stand in solidarity with all Indigenous people as they fight for freedom on their own land."

Jonathan Sacerdoti on X - "The 17-year-old boy who on Saturday broke a London synagogue’s window and then lit and threw a fire bomb through it, has pleaded guilty to arson. District Judge Nina Tempia freed the synagogue arsonist on bail, allowing him to walk free from the court. Why? “I didn’t know it was a synagogue… I genuinely thought it was an empty building” the boy claimed, in a prepared statement read to the court. Look at the photo – architectural menorah relief sculpture, Hebrew writing – and ask yourself if that’s likely to be true. Besides, which buildings is it OK to throw firebombs through the window of?"
bold, loyal & smart Reince Niebuhr🍪 🇺🇸🧊🦁🦑🐶 on X - "Fwiw I think the Nazi level antisemitic Muslim immigrants are genuinely shocked at how eagerly authorities in western countries buy their transparent lies and it reinforces everything their radical imams have taught them about kuffirs “I didn’t know the building with Hebrew text and menorahs was a synagogue. Little ol’ me had no idea”"

Chad Felix Greene 🇮🇱 on X - "Every man I had sex with when I was 14 knew I was 14 beforehand. LGBTQ culture has no socially imposed boundaries on it. They don't police themselves. They are too consumed with protecting their political causes and shaming rightwing bigots. Teen sex work is the norm in LGBTQ centers. Trans icons glamorize being prostitutes as teens and it's viewed as a rite of passage. 13 - 17 year olds are a high HIV risk group. Progressives view children as sexual beings and independent from their parents. This is a culture, one protected from scrutiny."
Clearly, this is hate speech and internalised homophobia

Meme - Greg Lukianoff @glukianoff: "American elites took public trust for granted. That was a catastrophic mistake. If people see even one academic punished or canceled for holding a view most Americans share, they stop trusting experts. And it didn’t happen once: FIRE found 14% of faculty — about 1 in 7 — say they’ve been disciplined or threatened with discipline for speech."
Gurwinder @G_S_Bhogal: "It doesn't take much censorship to create a culture of self-censorship. And self-censorship is the most dangerous form of censorship because it looks exactly like freedom."

Who’d give money to the arts when it makes you a target? - "Before it came to power the Labour Party seemed optimistic that it could find new ways to coax more private money into the arts. So far, though, the new government has made the climate worse. The taxes piled onto business in the budget have made companies much warier about inessential spending commitments, and perhaps less inclined to bail out cultural institutions that the government is underfunding. “If the choice is between laying off employees or sponsoring the RSC,” one veteran business leader tells me, “there’s only going to be one answer.” However, financial pressures aren’t the only reason many businesses and philanthropists are reluctant at present to put their money into culture. More and more are being repelled by the censorious climate surrounding the arts, and particularly the hostility towards companies associated (even slightly) with the fossil-fuel industry or with perceived links to Israel. Case in point? Candida Gertler, a philanthropist who has been donating generously to British arts organisations for more than 20 years, has just severed all her connections with the arts as, she says, “a principled protest against the alarming rise in antisemitism”. She and her husband were the target of a campaign by students at Goldsmiths College in London, who occupied the college’s Centre for Contemporary Art for 27 days, forcing its closure, until the college authorities erased the Gertlers’ names from the donor board. Why? Because the students objected to the Gertlers’ close relationship to Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister. Similarly, more than 1,000 artists and art workers at the Tate Gallery signed a letter protesting about donations to the Tate from a philanthropic organisation founded by Gertler, claiming it was “deeply complicit in the Israeli regime”. That’s just one instance of a longstanding donor being hounded from the scene simply for political reasons. There are others — and business sponsors, too, who are fed up with handing out money then being castigated because they don’t fit certain agendas. Arts organisations can ill afford to lose loyal, generous supporters — not least because philanthropy isn’t a habit that many rich people in Britain have acquired. On average the UK’s 600,000 most affluent individuals donate just £1 to charity each year for every £2,000 of their wealth. And only 1 per cent of all charitable giving goes to the arts."

Is Canada dividing itself with race-based sentencing? - "Canada is drifting toward a multi-tiered justice system. One set of rules for some, another for others. If you are Indigenous, the court must reduce your sentence. If you are a permanent resident, the court may reduce your sentence to save you from deportation. Meanwhile, Canadian citizens who are not Indigenous face the full measure of the law. That is not blind justice. That is favouritism. The justice system is not supposed to be a social policy tool. Its purpose is to deliver accountability, protect the public, and provide justice for victims. Social programs are where inequality should be addressed. The courtroom is where society says: this is wrong, and this is the consequence. Mixing the two dilutes both... Every time a sentence is reduced for reasons outside the crime itself, trust in the system crumbles. Every time we allow race or paperwork to influence punishment, we divide Canadians further. Every time we call this justice, we insult the very idea of it."

Hope Not Hate boss apologises for false ‘acid attack on Muslim woman’ tweet - "The boss of an anti-racism charity has apologised after wrongly tweeting that a Muslim woman had been attacked with acid during rioting. Nick Lowles, chief executive of Hope Not Hate used Twitter on Saturday night to claim there had been reports of an acid attack in Middlesbrough. “Reports are coming in of acid being thrown out of a car window at a Muslim woman in Middlesbrough. Absolutely horrendous,” Mr Lowles wrote. The post was seen by more than 100,000 people. The post was flagged by Twitter with a community note which said: “The reports of an acid attack have been denied by local police.”... A mob in Middlesbrough shouted “smash the P---s” and “there ain’t no black in the Union Jack” while targeting the homes of migrants, while footage on social media from elsewhere in the city appeared to show groups of Asian men attacking white men."

Nina Power on X - "The dogmatic terror of progressivism allows little to no space for being wrong, speculation, experimentation, humour, epistemic humility, or forgiveness. Another Terror."
Coddled Affluent Professional on X - "One of the worst things about the past decade has simply been not being allowed to think out loud. A lot of people stopped thinking publicly around 2015 or 2016."

Laura Powell on X - "One time I met a progressive couple visiting the Bay Area from a red state. They were talking about how much they enjoyed being around fellow liberals for a change. At the time I identified as a leftist, so I sympathized with how isolating it must feel to be surrounded by conservatives. They brought up climate change as an example of an issue where they disagreed with their neighbors and asked if I believed in it. I said it wasn’t my area of expertise, so I didn’t have a strong personal view, but I understood there was a scientific consensus and had no reason to doubt it. Their tone shifted immediately. They became combative, insisting climate change is real and that only a fool would question it. I kept trying to clarify that I wasn’t denying it. It became apparent that they would not back down until I professed the correct belief. One of the early warning signs I had that thinking for yourself was not tolerated on the left."

Skint Eastwood on X - "🚨Green Party Leader Zack Polanski Wants To Build A Society That Doesn’t Include Anyone From The Right “There are people who identify as right wing or even far right… Do we think we can change their minds or is it a case of building a society that doesn’t include them?” What the hell does Zack mean by this? Tell us @ZackPolanski what do you have planned if you ever get into power?"
Peter Hague on X - "What’s interesting is that Polanski is a hard core open borders fanatic. His society would categorically never exclude anybody who was born elsewhere for any reason. But it would exclude his own countrymen if they don’t align with him ideologically."

Drew Savicki on X - "Is packing the Supreme Court ideal? No but the conservative majority has refused all offers to rule in a nonpartisan manner. If they're gonna keep making partisan decisions then there need to be consequences. Their job is not to advance Republican policy from the bench."
Coddled Affluent Professional on X - "The job of the Supreme Court from 1960 to 2020 was to advance the progressive agenda. Libs have been out of power for 5 minutes and they’re screaming hysterically how there need to be consequences. Go ahead, do it, and then the whole edifice can be torched. Libs have way more to lose on this than they have to gain."
It's revealing that left wingers claim that the role of the law is to protect the weak and not about justice. But then again they redefine justice to mean pushing the left wing agenda anyway
Advancing Democratic policy from the bench is good, because you have a Living Constitution that can mean whatever left wingers want it to mean

AfD vows to drain 'NGO swamp' after Berlin café that bans White people received taxpayer cash - "The right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) has vowed to cut off taxpayer money for left-wing activist groups after a Berlin organization that runs a coworking café that reportedly excludes White people received more than €662,000 in public funding. The controversy centers on BIWOC Rising, a nonprofit group in Berlin-Kreuzberg that operates a coworking space and café marketed as a protected venue for Black, Indigenous, and women of color, as well as transgender, intersex, and nonbinary people of color. Critics say the model amounts to a publicly subsidized space that excludes white people while presenting itself as a project for tolerance, diversity, and democracy. AfD co-leader Alice Weidel said the case showed why the party wants to overhaul Germany’s taxpayer-funded activist sector. “A Berlin café that bans white people from entering was funded with €662,450 in taxpayer money — from the federal program ‘Democracy in Action!’ Pure racism! The AfD will drain the NGO swamp and end the waste of taxpayer money on left-wing ideology,” she wrote on X. According to German media reports citing funding lists from the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, BIWOC Rising received €662,450 from the federal “Live Democracy!” program between 2021 and 2024. Other calculations place the figure closer to €800,000 when related funding is included, according to reporting from Tichys Einblick. The program was created to support democracy, counter extremism, and prevent radicalization, but critics say the BIWOC Rising case exposes how public money has been channeled into highly ideological projects. The group’s official charitable purposes reportedly include education, the promotion of tolerance, and support for people persecuted on political, racial, or religious grounds. However, questions have been raised over how those aims can be reconciled with a venue that restricts access according to racial and identity categories... In August 2023, a German museum of industrial heritage in Dortmund was scolded for only allowing “Black, Indigenous, and People of Color” to enter the museum on Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for the “That’s Colonial” exhibition. The Zollern Colliery museum argued it was creating a “safer space” intended to protect people of color from “further discrimination.”... In May 2025, the German Evangelical Church (EKD) was accused of racism after banning White children from attending a workshop on being “courageous and strong” during its Church Congress in Hanover. The “Become Courage and Strong” workshop was, again, only open to Black, indigenous, and children of color. However, while ethnic Germans and ethnic Europeans are indigenous to Germany and Europe, the designation did not apply to them, only indigenous people from other continents... In January of this year, the German taxpayer-funded NGO “Black Sheep,” Schwarze Schafe in German, was offering a six-month intensive seminar designed specifically for White individuals to examine their “alleged privileges,” which is modeled after the concept of “Critical Whiteness.” The organization, which identifies as a “post-migrant education initiative,” has received significant taxpayer funding from Germans and operates a reporting center for anti-Muslim racism. White participants were expected to pay up to €2,290 for the course that runs from March to September."

GP who asked women to take off veil could be struck off - "A GP could lose his job after being found guilty of serious misconduct for asking a Muslim woman to remove her veil when he had no reason to, and for making ‘inappropriate’ notes about the language skills of patients. The Medical Practitioner’s Tribunal Service (MPTS) said that Dr Keith Wolverson demonstrated an “intolerance and disdain for patients.” It also ruled that he was “impaired by reason of misconduct” after referring to patients’ ability to speak English as “abysmal”, “extremely wanting” and “terrible” in an email to colleagues. The Tribunal said the doctor was “wrong” to ask a patient, known as Mrs Q, to remove her veil to “aid communication” during a consultation at Staffordshire’s Royal Stoke University Hospital."

Abdelgadir, who is a Black Muslim, obtained an Impact of Race and Cultural Assessment (IRCA) from the Viola Desmond Justice Institute"

Wade Miller on X - "Intersectional Marxist race and sex essentialism had captured essentially every institution in America, from schools, to corporations, to media, to academia. It was destroying the country. Chris Rufo helped define it, then helped get over the finish line an executive order to ban it in government, then helped create the conditions where more and more people could stand up and push back against it in corporate America and other local and private institutions. The Frankfurt School made neo-Marxism a cultural and political norm. The only way to break political and cultural norms when you don’t have a long timeline to do so, is to break it. That will inherently create polarization. That’s like saying that you don’t know if the radiation to treat cancer will heal us. Frankly, smarter people than I should examine this exact mindset to understand how the left was able to advance their agenda into our institutions while moderate professors did and said essentially nothing. The real problem is that Chris Rufo said something, he was the radiation to kill the cancer and these professors are complaining that it’s causing hair loss."

Fanning the Flames While the Humanities Burn - "Kay prophesied the apocalypse — the collapse of the humanities — and I had hoped, and still do, that he might be wrong. I have a soft spot for literary studies, having majored in English in college, but Kay’s essay was not just about that particular field. The whole forest, he argued, is burning — some parts faster, some parts a little slower — and the conflagration threatens to consume not just English but also history, religious studies, comparative literature, and my own field, philosophy. I was therefore disappointed to see the authors of the response — Devin M. Garofalo, Anna Hinton, Kari Nixon, and Jessie Reeder, four tenure-track professors of English literature — concede all of Kay’s substantive arguments at the outset... The problem, the authors insist, is that Kay is thoroughly invested in “a certain kind of white male fantasy.” According to this fantasy, the humanities are failing not only because of external political, economic, and social pressures but also because of changes internal to them, in particular because the academy opened its doors to voices, themes, and methodologies that had been previously excluded from the academy. The authors acknowledge that Kay makes no such claim explicitly. But they insist that they are nevertheless able to infer it from several details in the piece. The first piece of evidence in the trial of Kay is Kay’s mention of the fact that sociological and intellectual diversification in English “coincided with” the shrinking of the profession. Talk of coincidence, they argue, insidiously “blur[s] the boundaries between correlation and causation.” In other words, in merely stating the fact that those two phenomena occurred during the same period, Kay is in danger of promoting the misunderstanding that the shrinkage has been caused by the diversification. Yet before we have even had time to digest this criticism, the authors change their mind: Perhaps diversification is responsible for shrinkage, and it is for the best! “Some of what Kay figures as disciplinary attrition,” they write, “looks from our vantage point like the very necessary unsettling of white male dominance.” It is not entirely clear whether they mean that the tremendous drop in enrollment and jobs can be accounted for by the attrition of white males (it cannot), or rather, more likely, that the shrinkage of the profession is a necessary and therefore justified consequence of the moral housecleaning it was forced to endure. On the latter reading, the problem with Kay’s essay is not one of diagnosis. It is rather that he fails to appreciate the extent to which both he and the discipline he eulogizes deserve whatever misfortune happens to befall them. (Indeed, these four horsewomen of the apocalypse promise that “a cleansing flame will allow us to build a better structure.”) The second piece of evidence the authors provide for the claim that Kay is invested in a white male fantasy involves the portrayal of women in the article. The authors’ claim that Kay is “damningly uninterested” in women might seem unlikely, given that the piece’s two undisputed heroes are women: Caroline Levine, Kay’s adviser, and Anna Kornbluh, who gives the one MLA talk that Kay finds both insightful and inspiring. Indeed, over 25 percent of the piece is dedicated to Levine and Kornbluh, with Kay praising Kornbluh’s talk for its “scythelike” language in the service of the “unsparing” thesis that literary studies is contributing to its own demise. Working on the assumption that Kay does not mean what he says, and means what he does not say, the authors write off Kay’s praise of Kornbluh as a “bright spot” in an essay that can be said to offer only “ostensible celebrations of the contributions [of] women.”... The structuring idea of the essay, remember, is that English professors are dithering while their profession dies. It is hard to imagine a better illustration of this point than four tenure-track professors spending five paragraphs of their response criticizing a line about Ann Taylor dresses. The authors are right that Kay’s essay is saturated, like a blood-drenched rag, with pained longing. But in asserting that what Kay is nostalgic for is the whiteness, maleness, and colonial chauvinism of Peak English, they once again draw inferences about what he does not say and ignore what he does. Kay says very clearly what he misses about his life at the university: talking to and reading poetry with an adviser he admires, doing work he cares about, and being part of a community that could provide him with the opportunity to talk about literature with those who share his love for it. This fantasy is the fantasy of those who wish to dedicate themselves to a life of the mind. It is mine. Here, apparently, lies Kay’s real sin. It is not his unwitting bigotry. Ultimately, the scandal of his piece has little to do with his adoring descriptions of his academic adviser or his sartorial observational satire. His sin is that he fails to embrace his own sacrifice as well justified, fails to see his own loss as the “very necessary unsettling of white male dominance,” fails to welcome the “cleansing flame.” The problem is not what Kay says but that he dares to speak of his own predicament — that he dares to want publicly anything at all. After all, according to the authors, Kay, despite having had to abandon his vocation, possesses a power and freedom that they can only dream of... The suggestion that Kay’s feat of navigating the MLA is somehow beyond women’s reach is not merely insulting; it is downright bizarre, especially when one considers that all four authors have obviously succeeded in navigating the academy far better than Kay ever did... I suppose readers will ultimately have to decide for themselves which authors mistake their own gendered rage for structural critique. This question is not just, as Kay suggests, about who has their eyes squarely on the cataclysm and who is scoring points while the fire burns. It’s also about who’s fanning the flames."
Left wingers are obsessed with "dog whistles", because they are a way to claim a writer "does not mean what he says, and means what he does not say" and so twist other people's words to mean what they want them to mean
Left wingers just hate straight white men
