The Biden Administration Is Unwilling to Oppose Discrimination Against Men - "Men are, on average, disadvantaged relative to women in several key respects in developed countries such as the United States. Men are the majority of prisoners and the majority of the homeless. Men live shorter lives in part due to higher rates of suicide and workplace deaths. Bias against male defendants may contribute to sex disparities in the American criminal justice system, including in the administration of the death penalty. American women control 60 percent of personal wealth and make or influence 85 percent of all consumer purchases.  Poorer outcomes for men may stem in part from structural inequalities in the American education system. About 77 percent of teachers in the public education system are women. Girls get higher grades than boys in all subjects. Several studies suggest that stereotyping can bias teachers' assessment and grading against boys. The U.S. Department of Education has for some time steadily and selectively limited athletic opportunities for men. High school boys are much more likely to face (often counterproductive) disciplinary actions such as suspensions or expulsion than are girls. Women compose an ever-increasing majority of college students nationwide. The overwhelming majority of those sanctioned in schools under Title IX rules are male, and the majority of Title IX administrators are women.  The federal government is only widening these gender disparities. The United States Department of Education sided with female complainants 24 times as often as with male complainants between 2012 and 2019. The department's invidious overreach has been criticized by many, including liberal giants like Janet Napolitano, Jerry Brown, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg... Cornell University in particular engages in systemic discrimination against its male minority. We argue that Cornell discriminates against men in college admissions, medical services, recruitment, employment, residential spaces, scholarships, and professional organizations. The coalition complaint against Cornell was signed by 748 individuals, including attorneys, professors, authors, and activists. Unfortunately, the Biden administration is making it harder to hold these institutions accountable. The Education Department dismissed the Yale complaint, which we authored, on the pretext that, in order to make a discrimination claim, we must find men who specifically apply to and are rejected by programs that exclude men both in theory and practice. This standard is specious. No reasonable man would apply to programs that are unambiguously designed to exclude men.  This standard is not even necessary to establish that men face discrimination. A sizable proportion of male students (26 percent) surveyed at Yale reported personally experiencing discrimination on the basis of sex. The department could have easily requested copies of internal complaints or reached out to the students who reported such sentiments. Moreover, we provided examples of male students suing Yale under Title IX and an affidavit from a former Yale employee who complained about exclusionary programs. Federal attorneys chose to ignore all this... To quote Hans Bader, an attorney who specializes in discrimination cases: "when an institution has an explicit—or veiled but consistent—exclusion of a particular group, members of that group don't have to apply to have standing to sue for discrimination over that exclusion." He cites the Supreme Court in Teamsters v. United States (1977)"

New York Battles Over Where to Put All of Biden's Illegal Aliens - "Nine New York Republican congressmen wrote a letter to New York City Mayor Eric Adams complaining about the mayor’s plan to house incoming illegal aliens at JKF International Airport... Adams wanted to bus thousands of illegal aliens to other counties. But those outlying counties didn’t want the tens of thousands of illegals any more than New York City did. Now a federal judge has ordered one of those counties — Rockland County and its executive Ed Day — to accept the illegals. Day had declared a state of emergency and “threatened to grab Mr. Adams ‘by the throat’ if he sends migrants to Rockland County.”"

Biden DHS Coordinating Illegal Immigration In-Flows with Mexico - "President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has been coordinating these mass swims with Mexico’s immigration service, INM, at high levels on an encrypted Whatsapp channel... the process, which has never been publicized, amounts to a “controlled-flow” system most often used, controversially, by Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica, to facilitate mass illegal migration to the U.S. border rather than incur the expense and trouble of blocking it in those countries.  Controlled-flow by the Biden administration’s DHS with Mexico also constitutes a highly unusual U.S. policy that demonstrates formal acquiescence to illegal immigration and an official willingness to accommodate mass illegal immigration rather than stopping, blocking, or deterring it, as required by law."

Tim Young on Twitter - "Forget inflation, gas prices, record violence in cities, train derailments, and banks falling apart... this is literally all the Biden admin cares about."
"What’s going on?  (Laughs.)   All right, happy Tuesday.  So, this week is Lesbian Visibility Week.  And as the first openly queer person to hold the position of Press Secretary for the President of the United States, I see every day how important visibility and representation are.  Today I’m honored to welcome the cast of “The L Word” and “Generation Q,” two Showtime series that chronicle the friendship, the love, the challenges, and the triumphs of strong, funny, and resilient queer women."
A liberal told me "representation is representation" but didn't reply when I pointed out that "meaningless rhetoric is meaningless rhetoric"
Comment: "Big reason I'll never vote for leftist parties. At least a right wing incompetent party will just fail at delivering, they won't fail and also shove irrelevant personal bedroom obsessions down my throat."

FBI refuses to give Congress informant file alleging Biden took bribes - "“it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions.”...   An IRS whistleblower who supervised the tax-fraud case against Hunter Biden since early 2020 informed Congress last month that he wanted to share information about a coverup in the case after already making disclosures to the Treasury and Justice Department’s inspectors general. The longtime IRS worker can “contradict sworn testimony to Congress” by Attorney General Merrick Garland — and reveal “examples of preferential treatment and politics improperly infecting decisions,” a letter from his lawyer Mark Lytle said."
Rule of law is only important when it helps liberals

Joe Biden’s woke Left-wing agenda is a catastrophe for the free world - "  We live in a globalised world where politics has become an international fashion statement. Ideological tribes cross borders, at least when it comes to virtue-signalling, over-educated graduates desperate to latch on to the latest feel-good trend. Ideas that begin in Washington make their way to our own Parliament, offices and streets. We too will pay the price for Biden’s mistakes; and America’s struggles will become our battles, even if they shouldn’t be. Biden’s first blunder has been to give free rein to the woke revolutionaries. Their ideology is a fusion of post-modernism, Marxism, Freudianism, critical race theory, gender studies, intersectionality and much else besides, and the brew is toxic, explosive and potentially fatal to Western democracy and capitalism. It detests rationality, the rule of law and even the presumption of innocence. It is obsessed with race and gender, assumes extreme amounts of never-ending exploitation, posits that progress is impossible and rejects the liberal, meritocratic, colour-blind approach that has done so much to improve society and combat racism since the Fifties. It claims to believe in “social justice” but rejects the very concept of a functioning polity and the possibility of objective, enlightenment-style justice. It considers free speech to be a form of violence, and assumes that anybody who disagrees is guilty of false consciousness and, as such, deserves to be cancelled as a dangerous heretic.  It is already destroying American universities, and now threatens to debilitate American business. Its next target are US cities, where idiotic mayors are allowing crime to run riot. The proper approach to the disgraceful racism and violence that characterises so much of US law-enforcement is to reform forces and stamp out hateful practices; yet the woke lobby prefers to demand the police’s abolition, an absurd, utopian approach advocated by the likes of Alexandria Ocaso-Cortez, a prominent Congresswoman.   Biden is no fan of AOC, but he is failing to confront the woke insurgency, and in some cases is even fuelling it. His decision to set up a committee to consider expanding the size of the Supreme Court – and thus to eliminate its conservative majority – is a scandalous concession. It would be tantamount to a constitutional coup, as would another increasingly popular Democratic proposal, granting statehood to Washington DC and Puerto Rico to gerrymander the Senate with more Democrats.  This reflects the woke idea that conservative majorities are illegitimate, and that rigging democracy to eliminate them is acceptable. In this respect, Biden’s attitude is just as bad as Trump’s own despicable rejection of democracy last year."
From 2021

RNC Research on Twitter - "WATCH: @BillFOXLA reports on thousands of migrants waiting until Title 42 ends to cross the border illegally. “[The Biden administration] to begin mass street releases of migrants to city streets if NGOs no longer have capacity.”"

Most Americans think Joe Biden does not have 'mental sharpness' to serve as US president, poll finds - "the 80-year-old Commander-in-Chief's approval rating has fallen to 36 per cent, the lowest of his presidency.  Overall, 63 per cent of Americans believe Mr Biden is not sharp enough to serve effectively as leader of the free world... In the same survey in 2020, 43 per cent said they doubted Mr Biden's mental fitness, while 54 per cent said the same when asked a year ago.  It makes for bleak reading for Mr Biden, mere weeks after he announced his 2024 re-election bid... Voters' doubts extended to Mr Biden's physical health, with 62 per cent telling the Washington Post/ABC survey that Mr Biden, the first octogenarian president, was not in good enough condition to be an effective president... Mr Biden has framed himself as the strongest Democrat to take on Mr Trump, but the latest survey casts doubt over that claim.  When asked who they would support in 2024, 44 per cent of voting-age adults backed Mr Trump while 38 per cent backed Mr Biden... the president's job rating is even worse among some groups that supported him by wide margins in 2020.  His approval is just 26 per cent among Americans under the age of 30, and 42 per cent among non-white adults"

Biden Calls a 'Major Press Conference,' But Is Just Confused - "Old Joe Biden almost held a “major press conference” on Friday. Or rather, he announced one, and it was briefly big news, but as it turned out, it was just the dementia talking. Good thing he didn’t declare war on anyone. How comforting it is that the adults are back in charge, eh?  Biden has held so few press conferences that whenever he announces one, it’s a significant event. David E. Clementson, an assistant professor in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, noted in a late February article at The Conversation that “it took Biden until late March 2021 to hold his first press conference, more than two months after his inauguration — the longest a new president had gone without holding a press conference in 100 years.”  What’s more, “during Biden’s first year in office, he held a total of 10 press conferences.” In fact, he has had only 21 in all, making his average for his first two years of pretending to be president just over ten per year. No president in the last 34 years has averaged so few press conferences... The alleged president was actually confusing a softball interview with Leftist propagandists with a highly scripted event featuring other Leftist propagandists but which would be designed to look as if a real president were taking real questions. Addled Old Joe recently let his cue cards be seen, giving him a reporter’s question in advance and proving beyond the shadow of a doubt that his press conferences are about as genuine and honest as his entire presidency, and as the man himself — that is, not at all."

The First on Twitter - "WHOA JOE! "I had a nurse named Pearl... She'd come in and do things I don't think you learn in nursing school... She'd whisper in my ear... She’d lean down and breathe on me... She went home and got the pillow from her own bed... I’m not joking...”"

Joe Biden-Linked Firm Made Major Investments in Chinese Corporations - "Biden’s daughter, Ashley, married Philadelphia head and neck doctor Howard Krein in 2012. Krein, who is currently advising Biden for his campaign, remains chief medical officer at the firm StartUp Health, which has tied itself in partnerships with Chinese corporations through the years.  StartUp Health boosted two major China-based corporations in 2018 and most recently praised China’s response to the Chinese coronavirus crisis."

Washington Free Beacon on Twitter - "Jean-Pierre: "When it comes to illegal migration, you have seen it come down by more than 90%.”"
"Readers added context they thought people might want to know: 2022 had 2.76 million illegal border crossings, more than doubling the previous record. Migrant border crossings haven’t decreased. March 2023 saw a 25% increase in border crossings."

White House Defends Biden's 'Cheat Sheet' With Reporters' Questions - "The White House defended the "cheat sheet" President Joe Biden was seen holding while speaking to the press from the Rose Garden on Wednesday as regular protocol and in line with the press office's job to "get a sense" of what the media wants to ask him.  "It is entirely normal for a president to be briefed on reporters who will be asking questions at a press conference, and issues that we expect they might ask about," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said during her daily briefing on Thursday... photographers at the White House captured photos that showed Biden holding a small paper that suggested the president is given notice of the questions that members of the press will ask him during his media engagements... The "cheat sheet" sparked ethics questions and drew criticism from Republicans, who used the pocket card to argue that certain news organizations were working alongside the Biden White House to help the president control his media image."
Cheat Sheet: Reporter Caught Asking Joe Biden Scripted Question - "at least one reporter stuck to the script.  Typically, reporters do not allow politicians or any subject to know a list of questions before hand.  The revelation that Biden is only allowing pre-screened, pre-approved questions from approved reporters raises questions not only about his ability to think on his feet, but it also suggests multiple White House correspondents have compromised their ethics by helping the Biden Administration avoid potential blunders."

Joe Biden too old to travel over Atlantic for Coronation - "Mr Biden's age is known to be a sensitive topic in the West Wing, although those staff tasked with handling his schedule generally try to avoid extended travel wherever possible.  The president has also participated in far fewer extended press conferences with the White House press corps as well as the traditional media interviews than his most recent predecessors."
Clearly healthy enough to be President

BBC Radio 4 - Best of Today, The beginning of Biden's Presidency - "‘Joe Biden has spoken again, again of his desire to heal America, but the impeachment process is underway, you’re an impeachment manager steering the process through Congress. But won't that negate efforts to heal? Won’t that dominate the early days of his presidency?’
‘Oh, I believe exactly the opposite. I believe that we cannot have unity without addressing the issues that are at hand and the issues of insurrection, the issues of criminal activity, and the amount of anti semitism, racism, bigotry, just hatred, that was there needs to be punished and the individual who incited that needs to be held into account. Without confronting it, without bringing those things to justice, there can be no healing and no unity... Joe Biden has said repeatedly that he will be the president for all Americans’"
From 2021. When it's clear that by healing, you mean satisfying your base, and that you don't care about the other side, since you don't consider them Americans

Meme - "Gaslighter in chief. If anything the American right is known for being very protective of the police (thin blue line). The right fought against the far left agenda of defunding the police for years and now he pins the blame on the right wing as if his own party wasn't mainly responsible for disastrous experimentation of defunding police departments."
President Biden @POTUS: "Some MAGA Republicans in Congress have called for defunding the police, abolishing the FBI, and cutting mental health services. Meanwhile, my budget invests in safer communities and access to mental health care. Like I always say: a budget is a statement of values."

Chinese Spy Balloon: Why the U.S. Didn't Shoot It Down | Time (Feb 2) - "The Biden Administration has determined that the balloon doesn’t give the China any additional surveillance capabilities beyond what it already can collect through spy satellites currently orbiting the Earth"
Chinese spy balloon gathered intelligence from sensitive U.S. military sites, despite U.S. efforts to block it (Apr 3)

Townhall.com on Twitter - "BIDEN IN 2020: You can't legislate by executive order "unless you're a dictator!"
JOHN KERRY LAST WEEK: "The president is issuing executive orders" to impose his climate agenda."

Meme - Frizzle McDizzle @Frizzlemcdizzl2: "Awww my friends 6-year-old daughter wrote an open letter to Joe Biden"
"Dear President Biden, Why are you making retarded decisions. Love Susie. PS. non-binary isnt a real thing"

Republicans laugh at Biden remark on US need for oil - "US President Joe Biden said oil was needed "for at least another decade" during his State of the Union address on 7 February 2023."

Biden’s big new asylum rule is inspired by Donald Trump - "The Biden administration is planning to impose new restrictions on asylum seekers, including requiring some migrants to register using a smartphone app, that are modeled after a policy pushed by former President Donald Trump. Biden’s proposed rule, which could go into effect as early as March, comes just as the administration sunsets a controversial pandemic-era border enforcement policy that has kept millions of asylum seekers from entering the country... Biden is stricter than many of his Democratic colleagues on the border. He maintained Trump’s Title 42 policy, for instance, even as he made attempts to administer the immigration enforcement system more humanely, including by narrowing the categories of people considered priorities for deportation and offering new temporary protections to citizens of certain conflict-stricken countries.  Still, with immigration and border security becoming an increasingly potent area of attack by the GOP, even some moderate Democrats have embraced Trumpian border policies. And they’re putting pressure on Biden to do the same."

Thread by @JackPosobiec on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "BREAKING: Biden Admin Department of Homeland Security to create a 'Disinformation Governance Board' dedicated to 'countering misinformation'
The DHS board will be headed by Nina Jankowicz, who once claimed militarized Trump supporters would show up to the polls with weapons to intimidate voters...
Here's Nina in 2020
"Back on the "laptop from hell," apparently- Biden notes 50 former natsec officials and 5 former CIA heads that believe the laptop is a Russian influence op. Trump says "Russia, Russia, Russia."""

Meme - Sal the Agorist @SallyMayweather: "The ppl telling kids men can get pregnant have started a Disinformation Board."

Josh Barro on Twitter - "Characterizing the fall of the Disinformation Governance Board as a disinformation op is a *demonstration* of the bankruptcy of the “disinformation” frame. It’s just whatever Taylor Lorenz dislikes or disagrees with."

Nina Jankowicz’s Faulty Record, Not Her Critics, Doomed the Disinformation Board - "The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has placed a "pause" on the newly-minted Disinformation Governance Board; its first executive director, Nina Jankowicz, has resigned. The board's existence, which was announced just three weeks ago, prompted serious concerns from many civil libertarians and inspired Ministry of Truth comparisons. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas tried—and largely failed—to address these concerns by noting that the board would serve in merely an advisory capacity and not have any actual power to police speech. That the Disinformation Governance Board did a bad job of communicating information about itself did not exactly instill confidence, and evidently DHS has now realized that the entire project is a bad idea... This news comes from an exclusive report by The Washington Post's Taylor Lorenz, whose scoop is buried underneath layers of pro-government verbiage. Lorenz's story excessively flatters Jankowicz—she is glamorized as "well-known" in the field, having "extensive experience," and "well-regarded" in just the first two paragraphs—while ignoring legitimate criticism of this so-called expert's track record. Indeed, there is zero mention, none whatsoever, of the fact that Jankowicz was flagrantly wrong about the pivotal "disinformation" episode of the 2020 election cycle: the Hunter Biden laptop story. For WaPo, the story is not that DHS shuttered the Disinformation Governance Board—the real story is that right-wing "coordinated online attacks" achieved this outcome after subjecting Jankowicz to an "unrelenting barrage of harassment."... expressing concerns about Jankowicz and the Disinformation Governance Board is an act of sabotage by bad-faith right-wing harassers against a noble public servant. The Washington Post does not grapple with legitimate criticisms of Jankowicz. The article doesn't even acknowledge that any exist. Bad people oppose Jankowicz, in the Post's framing, and if you oppose Jankowicz, you're probably one of them.  Yet there is good reason to be skeptical of both the Disinformation Governance Board and Jankowicz's fitness to run it. Informal efforts to police disinformation on social media are beset with serious challenges, as moderators and fact-checkers routinely make odious mistakes: Just today, Facebook dubiously censored a recipe for homemade baby formula. The social media site's fact-checkers have previously flagged Reason articles as spreading false information, only to later admit the articles in question were accurate. John Stossel, host of Stossel TV and a contributor to Reason, is currently suing Facebook for characterizing his videos as misleading, even though fact-checkers eventually conceded he was right. Government disinformation cops are no better; time and time again, public health officials circulated false information about COVID-19, and suppressed perfectly legitimate discussion of the theory that the virus originated from a lab leak. And when The New York Post reported on the salacious contents of Hunter Biden's laptop just weeks before the election, the story was widely dismissed by so-called disinformation experts and government security experts on grounds that they presumed it to be Russian malfeasance. "Hunter Biden Story Is Russian Disinfo, Dozens of Former Intel Officials Say," reported Politico back in October 2020.  Jankowicz repeatedly made public statements indicating that she held this view, too. She shared national security officials' "high confidence" that the Hunter Biden story was part of a Russian influence campaign. She described the idea that the laptop had been left behind at a repair shop as "a fairy tale." This was a critical test of whether disinformation experts could check their innate tendency to ascribe everything unfavorable to the Democratic Party as Russian nefariousness, and they utterly failed. Jankowicz failed as well... The article reads like it was ghostwritten by Jankowicz herself, which makes the underlying scoop less impressive: It's easy to get a government official to cooperate for a news article when the news article takes the form of PR."

Leaked Documents Outline DHS’s Plans to Police Disinformation - "  Behind closed doors, and through pressure on private platforms, the U.S. government has used its power to try to shape online discourse. According to meeting minutes and other records appended to a lawsuit filed by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, a Republican who is also running for Senate, discussions have ranged from the scale and scope of government intervention in online discourse to the mechanics of streamlining takedown requests for false or intentionally misleading information... the department plans to target “inaccurate information” on a wide range of topics, including “the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines, racial justice, U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the nature of U.S. support to Ukraine.”...   The inclusion of the 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan is particularly noteworthy, given that House Republicans, should they take the majority in the midterms, have vowed to investigate...   How disinformation is defined by the government has not been clearly articulated, and the inherently subjective nature of what constitutes disinformation provides a broad opening for DHS officials to make politically motivated determinations about what constitutes dangerous speech... the laudable goal of protecting Americans from danger has often been used to conceal political maneuvering. In 2004, for instance, DHS officials faced pressure from the George W. Bush administration to heighten the national threat level for terrorism, in a bid to influence voters prior to the election, according to former DHS Secretary Tom Ridge. U.S. officials have routinely lied about an array of issues, from the causes of its wars in Vietnam and Iraq to their more recent obfuscation around the role of the National Institutes of Health in funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s coronavirus research.   That track record has not prevented the U.S. government from seeking to become arbiters of what constitutes false or dangerous information on inherently political topics."
Liberals will have to find a new cope to justify censorship beyond "private companies can do whatever they want" (not that they are consistent when it comes to Elon Musk's Twitter)
