The Mossad: The Spies Who Loved You on Twitter - "West Hollywood: Gang of Palestinians asked people in the street who is Jewish and proceeded to beat them up."

nick on Twitter - "It's crazy how SJWs can differentiate 97 genders but can't differentiate between legal and illegal immigrants."

New Report Claims Hollywood Focus Groups Overwhelmingly Prefer A Fake 'Problematic' TV Show To Real 'Woke' Production - "Show B “tested better with all groups, no matter age, sex or race.”... “While episodes for Show A where adapted outlines done by the real writers of the proposed show, Show B episodes where quickly hacked up adapted old episodes of Starsky & Hutch, with the car swapped out for a Dodge Challenger.” “Very little effort was put on the audio and the animatics (we objected at the discrepancy in quality of the presentation materials),” they recalled. “but it didn’t matter…. Show B popped huge, just huge! The leads, the chief, Vegas, the women, explosions, the helicopter, the Car, the Dog! All!”... Ultimately, WDW Pro’s source concluded, “Man, somebody is going to get real rich putting a 1970s/1980s style cop show on the air on of these days. Just buy up the rights to some old Starsky & Hutch episodes and give them a very slight polish and you’d be golden.”"

Meet The English: behind the scenes of the BBC's violent new Western, with Emily Blunt, Chaske Spencer, Hugo Blick, Stephen Rea and others - "Blunt, on a video call from New York, tells me: “I love a character with a secret. And I loved Cornelia’s buoyancy, her hopefulness, her guilelessness. It’s the worst thing ever when you open a script and read the words: ‘strong female lead’. That makes me roll my eyes – I’m already out. I’m bored. Those roles are written as incredibly stoic, you spend the whole time acting tough and saying tough things

'Jungle Cruise' Star Emily Blunt Slams Hollywood's Idea Of A Strong Female Lead: "It’s The Worst Thing Ever When You Open A Script And Read Those Words" - "in the live-action adaptation of Edge of Tomorrow, Blunt plays Seargant Rita Vrataski, a tough, no-nonsense military hero who instructs the film’s male lead – as played by Tom Cruise – in how to use his powers. While on the surface this seems to fit Hollywood’s definition of a ‘strong female lead’, the Angel of Verdun actually struggles with her emotional demon, which breaks the woke trope’s standard requirement that no female characters show any negative emotion... Interestingly, Blunt isn’t the only actress who has come forward to denounce the “strong female lead” in Hollywood. Decrying ther concept as “reductive’ during an August interview with The Guardian, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany dismissed the concept as, “It’s just as much a shaving off of all the nuances, and just as much of a trope.”... Ironically, despite Maslany’s apparent distaste for the trope, her portrayal of the title character in Marvel’s widely-panned ‘comedy’ series has been severely criticised for checking every single box in the “strong female lead” category... Men in Black: International and Cruella actress Emma Thompson similarly told Culture Blast, “So all the women screenwriters I talk to, I say, ‘Well, what’s the story?’ Because it’s not good enough simply to give the women the guns, and then make the women badass, as well.” “Now women have to be badass — if they’re feminine in the way that they used to be, and they’re not badass, then they’re not welcome,” she sighed. “Also, they’re not allowed to cry, apparently, anymore, because we’ve just got to be like the men.” One of the most prominent offenders in this push for such stoic and unfeminine characters is Disney, who as noted above with She-Hulk have taken to amplifying their “strong, independent” female by showing them as outright better in almost every regard than their male counterparts with far less experience. In what is arguably the most anti-climactic third act in the MCU, Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) defeats Captain Marvel‘s primary villain, her military superior Yong-Rogg (Jude Law), with a single blast despite her having just recently learned to use her powers and his having trained with his for years upon years. Disney has also taken to shamelessly bait-and-switching their audiences in order to push these uninspired female characters, using the various Marvel films and TV shows to sideline such heroes as Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in favor of a female counterpart who does everything “better” than the original hero. In perhaps the most shameful instance of Disney’s adherence to this philosophy, the House of Mouse even went so far as to avoid recasting the role of King T’Challa following the death of Chadwick Bosemn in favor of having his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) take up the mantle – all of which resulted in a convoluted story that does neither character justice."

AIPAC on Twitter: "More than 95% of AIPAC-backed candidates won their election last night! Being pro-Israel is good policy and good politics!"
Clearly it's anti-Semitic to criticise AIPAC's influence on US politics

Daniel Jordan - Honest question. I have heard many people... | Facebook - "Honest question. I have heard many people say that if people do not want kids than one of the best reasons of having legal abortion is that it's not so good for the kid to be raised by parents that are resentful to their unwanted children. I will not argue against this point. But if you follow the same line of reasoning about religious schools being able to deny gay students access to their facilities what's the problem here? It's not in their best interest to be turned away by those who don't give a damn about them, no? So what's the crime? Why is one okay and not the other?"
Liberals just hate religion

Top QB recruit loses scholarship after posting video saying N-word in rap song - "The University of Florida pulled a scholarship offer it gave to one of the nation’s top quarterback recruits after a video of him using the N-word while singing along to lyrics in a rap song surfaced. Marcus Stokes, who played for Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, has been dubbed by 24/7 Sports as the 14th best quarterback in the nation. But that wasn’t enough to persuade Florida to keep him after the alleged video surfaced."
Would a black student doing the same have lost his scholarship? Why is rap still allowed if the word is unacceptable? Is it racist if a white person refuses to listen to rap for fear of something like this happening?

Meme - "People are so easily offended these days. That's why I only ever make jokes at the expense of white men, whose thick skins and calmly rational attitudes make them impossible to upset."

Senator Scott Wiener on Twitter - "The word “groomer” is categorically an anti-LGBTQ hate word. It’s super homophobic/transphobic. It plays into the slander that LGBTQ people are pedophiles. It’s no different than calling someone a fagg*t. If you call someone groomer, you’re inciting violence against LGBTQ people"
"This is not happening, and it's good that it is"

Entertainment Circle - Posts | Facebook - "Both Marvel's Moon Knight & DC's Black Adam lean heavily on Egyptian mythology, but Mohamed Diab says the latter has wasted a cultural opportunity. During an Interview Diab has said: "I was really annoyed with DC when they set Black Adam in a fictional middle eastern country as an excuse to cast non-Egyptians, when it was obviously meant to be in Egypt. Representation opportunities shouldn’t be wasted... But it’s not a full mistake since it’s based on an iteration of the comics that doesn’t mention Egypt.""
If it'd been in Egypt, they'd have complained about racism and stereotypes. The fact that representing Egyptian culture is not enough and they're supposed to link the show to modern politics reveals the cynical political ploy

Alex Ryan on Twitter - "Kanye was removed from Madame Toussad wax museum for anti semitism, but hitler is still there🥴🙃 Make it make sense Jewish people. #Antisemitism #KanyeWest #hitler #snowflakes"

Is America Experiencing a 'Revenge Of the Nerds' Moment? - "We all want to belong to some sort of group, even if it's an obscure subculture. There is nothing wrong with this as long as it's a healthy type of unification. What's the major difference between the movie and today? The outcasts have a megaphone called the internet. Because of the internet, we are exposed to these socially awkward 'outcasts' more than we were in the past. They say outlandish things on social media, it spreads like wildfire and we all react to it. Years ago, they had no real avenue for this type of attention & were ignorable. So, the question is...what's the revenge? Well, I believe most outcasts don't actually like being outcasts. However, they aren't willing to conform because they aren't good at conforming to the norm (otherwise, they would). They want to be accepted without conforming. We are always hearing buzz words like 'destigmatize', 'normalize', 'inclusive', and 'reimagine' because they want to get rid of the outcast label. They don't want to be seen as strange, they want the strange to become normal. They want that line to be gone. The problem is that getting rid of this line is impossible. We may slowly accept certain things but there will always be a line. The line doesn't disappear, it just gradually moves yet even though it moves, this is still not enough. This 'problem' makes them angry. Their revenge comes in the form of weaponizing empathy to attempt to force this line's removal. We feel for them but we still don't want to get rid of this line. If you listen to some of them, they have a strong contempt for 'society' & anyone who doesn't accept them is a bigot. They feel as though they were forced into being outcasts and they despise being in this position. They've also accepted being socially awkward as being their personality rather than a lack of a skillset. It's something you can easily develop with practice. Many of them are angry, resentful, and possibly feel powerless being in the 'outcast' mold. It's understandable but much like the movie, in the end, some of them may feel the solution is to become the vengeful people they despise."

Meme - Francisco Ceballos @Ceballos_Gene: "I have a story to tell here. I was in scotland studying incest in the UKBB. We discovered a population with times more incest (father-daughter). The bioethics committe did not allow us to publish. It could be used by far right groups to atack this community."
Trust the science!

Understanding America's Cultural and Political Realignment - "To understand our politics, we need to understand the cultural values that drive it. The integral cultural map developed by philosopher Ken Wilber identifies nine global cultural value systems including the archaic (survival), tribal (shaman), warrior (warlords and gangs), traditional (fundamentalist faith in God), modern (democracy and capitalism), and postmodern (world-centric pluralism). When combined with Pew’s voter typologies, Wilber’s cultural levels offer a new map of America’s political landscape... Modern culture superseded traditional systems in the West during the Enlightenment, and values rationality, democracy, meritocracy, capitalism, and science. Individual rights, free speech, and free markets harness an entrepreneurial spirit to solve problems. Postmodern culture offers a borderless, geocentric political view that values pluralism. It challenges a pro-American narrative by focusing on the horrors of American history, including the exploitation of Native Americans, slavery, and persistent inequality disproportionately affecting historically disadvantaged groups. Those left behind by modernity and progress now seek recognition, restoration, and retribution via a politics of protest, and show little interest in building political organizations or institutions. We are currently living in a postmodern political moment of disruption... Today, the Democratic Party energy’s is centered at that postmodern level, while the center of the GOP remains modern... Trump is the first President to “turn postmodernism against itself,” because he grasped the postmodern idea of the anti-hero."

Federal judge warns the Left is bringing Cold War-style censorship to campus - "Jose Cabranes is concerned that “our civilization will stagnate and die” the way it’s headed. What’s the great threat? The sustained attacks on the freedom to “inquire” in colleges and universities, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Court judge and Yale’s first general counsel writes... Speaking in much the same language as a recent law review article by two Harvard Law professors, Cabranes warns that schools including Yale are setting up their own “centralized bureaucracy” to handle sexual-misconduct reports and “soon, perhaps, other offenses as well.”... He eviscerates how Yale handles allegations against professors now, often depriving them of “basic due process” including the opportunity to question witnesses and “presumption of innocence unless convicted by ‘clear and convincing evidence'”... Yale already has a 42-year-old blueprint on how to protect freedom of expression and due process, Cabranes says: It’s known as the Woodward report, and it’s being ignored by today’s leaders."
The left say that these are not courts so due process and the presumption of innocence don't matter

Jonathan Kay on Twitter - "Haskayne Business School @HaskayneSchool at @Ucalgary is hiring a new prof: "This position is only open to qualified Black scholars." Applicants may “focus on any discipline.” It doesn't matter, so long as one’s skin color corresponds with the desired hue"
Only a racist could object to hiring a "minority" based on skin colour

M'sia state of Terengganu to prevent men & women intermingling by enforcing unisex hair salon ban - "Terengganu lawmakers in Malaysia are concerned that men and women are intermingling while getting their hair done and is making it known that the ban on unisex hair salons in the state still stands. Gender-segregation licensing regulation, to keep males and females separate, must be adhered to moving forward... "Hair salons or barbershops, whether operated by Muslims or non-Muslims, are not allowed to provide haircut services for both men and women in the same premises"... "There are no exemptions for hair salons or barbershops that are operated by non-Muslims. This is because if we were to allow non-Muslim female hairdressers to provide haircuts for male customers, there is a possibility that Muslim men will go and patronise them too."... assemblywoman Zuraida Md Noor said she had received complaints from locals who expressed their concerns on men and women being in the same premises"
Moderate Islam strikes again. Of course liberals will keep quiet. The cope that they protest about democracies but not dictatorships because public pressure can change things cannot be used here

Indonesia a step closer to passing new criminal code that will ban sex outside marriage - "Articles on customary law, blasphemy, protesting without notification and expressing views divergent from the Pancasila were all legally problematic because they could be widely interpreted"

Weird. We are told that feminists aren't anti-men, and that gay marriage wouldn't hurt straight marriage. Just imagine what would happen if someone had quoted a kid with two mommies saying he wanted straight parents

JoJo Siwa Doesn’t Think She’ll Ever Talk to Candace Cameron Bure Again - "JoJo Siwa isn't planning on speaking to Candace Cameron Bure going forward. The 19-year-old recently called out Candace for saying the Great American Family network, where Candace is a chief creative officer, "will keep traditional marriage at the core."... "We have not [talked]," JoJo told People Nov. 20, "and I don't think we ever will again."... "That's what's f--ked up," she added. "You not liking gay marriage, do your thing girl. You being religious, do your thing girl. Of course, I would want everybody to do what they want to do. But to purposely exclude someone because of who they love, that's s--tty."... "This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.""
Imagine if someone threw a hissyfit over a focus on gay marriage

Bible Passages Are 'No Longer Appropriate,' UK Prosecutor Says - "A Christian street preacher faced charges of violating the Public Order Act by engaging in “threatening,” “abusive,” and “insulting” speech in telling a lesbian couple that homosexuals will not “inherit the kingdom of heaven,” citing the Bible. In defending the case against him, a prosecutor wrote that “there are references in the bible [sic] which are simply no longer appropriate in modern society and which would be offensive if stated in public”... England’s government prosecution office had the opportunity to disavow the statement and clarify that it does not consider the Bible offensive and illegal, but it declined to do so."

Can Hatred of Christians Lead to Support of Sexual Minorities? - "the type of individuals who tend to feel hostility against Christians (white, highly educated progressives) prefer to think of themselves as tolerant. In fact, being tolerant is often a vital part of their social identities. Thus, they do not want to face the fact that they may be motivated by religious bigotry. They are unlikely to admit support for rules that seem to target Christians for mistreatment. But, since it is well-known that traditional Christian theology opposes the goals of sexual minority groups, their animosity towards conservative Christians may be expressed by claiming to promote the rights of sexual minorities... even among those who do not particularly like sexual minorities, people are more likely to support LGBT rights if they do not like conservative Christians. Interestingly, negative attitudes towards Muslim or Jews are not related to supporting the rights of sexual minorities. The Muslim result is of particular interest, since there is no reason why we should believe that Muslims would be any more supportive of the rights of sexual minorities than conservative Christians. My results demonstrate a unique phenomenon among respondents who do not like conservative Christians. The results are not due to antipathy toward religion in general or toward any religion that does not support the rights of sexual minorities. In other words, my data seem to indicate that there are people who support sexual minorities’ rights because they dislike—or even hate—conservative Christians. This finding is important because it offers a new explanation of support for same-sex marriage—one that previous researchers have ignored... This explanation can also help us understand the efforts to punish Christian businesses, schools, and organizations that do not hold progressive sexual values. Many of these fights are less about granting LGBT individuals their rights and more about making certain that organizations, including those run by conservative Christians, actively support sexual minorities. The libertarian argument for sexual-minority rights has given way to a more aggressive stance towards dissenters from the new norms of sexuality. This movement away from a “live and let live” perspective makes perfect sense if a significant portion of support for sexual minorities is tied to an antipathy towards conservative Christians."

When minorities do worse in the job market, this will be the fault of "white supremacy"

Lauren on Twitter - "if you have any respect for the work me and my colleagues do, you will not watch “ancient apocalypse” on netflix. it appears to be pseudoarchaeology and ego rolled together. the theories are soundly disproven by contemporary science, and the worldview is one of white supremacy."
Arie Amaya-Akkermans on Twitter - "I watched 3 episodes of Ancient Apocalypse for science: In the 1st 5 mins you know he's hostile to archaeology & anti-science, then conspiracy theories begin, lost civilizations, esoteric beliefs, universal myths, etc. Don't waste your time, shame on this rubbish @netflix."

Words Like 'Racism' Have Lost Their Common Meaning - The Atlantic - "The word racism has become almost maddeningly confusing in current usage. It tempts a linguist such as me to contravene the dictum that trying to influence the course of language change is futile... Opponents of the modern filibuster have taken to calling it “racist” because it has been used for racist ends. This implies a kind of contamination, a rather unsophisticated perspective given that this “racist” practice has been readily supported by noted non-racists such as Barack Obama (before he changed his mind on the matter)... Nearly every designation of someone or something as “racist” in modern America raises legitimate questions, and leaves so many legions of people confused or irritated that no one can responsibly dismiss all of this confusion and irritation as mere, well, racism. To speak English is to know the difference between pairs of words that might as well be the same one: entrance and entry. Awesome and awful are similar. However, one might easily feel less confident about the difference between equality and equity, in the way that today’s crusaders use the word in diversity, equity, and inclusion... A teachers’ conference in Washington State last year included a presentation underlining: “If you conclude that outcomes differences by demographic subgroup are a result of anything other than a broken system, that is, by definition, bigotry.” A DEI facilitator specifies that “equity is not an outcome”—in the way equality is—but “a process that begins by acknowledging [people’s] unequal starting place and makes a commitment to correct and address the imbalance.”... The nature of how words change, compounded by the effects of our social-media bubbles, means that many vocal people on the left now use social justice as a stand-in for justice... this usage of the term social justice is typically based on a very particular set of commitments especially influential in this moment: that all white people must view society as founded upon racist discrimination, such that all white people are complicit in white supremacy, requiring the forcing through of equity in suspension of usual standards of qualification or sometimes even logic (math is racist). A view of justice this peculiar, specific, and even revolutionary is an implausible substitute for millennia of discussion about the nature of the good, much less its apotheosis... Americans are in for decades of non-conversations based on greatly different visions of what justice and equ(al)ity are... I suspect that certain people will continue to use social justice as if they have figured out a concept that proved elusive from Plato through Kant through Rawls"

'Race Baiting Grifter:' Diddy Accused of Stiffing Black Artists After Saying Corporations Exploit Black People - "Fashion and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs faced accusations of hypocrisy from fans after he sounded off on General Motors for not making more substantial investments in the black community. Combs published a letter to his website entitled, “If You Love Us, Pay Us,” in which he slams General Motors for its lack of investment in the black community. Diddy said that blacks are not afraid to “weaponize our dollars” by boycotting products from companies blacks find unresponsive. But despite his demands from American corporations, some turned Diddy’s call back at him, claiming he has repeatedly refused to help a black artist with his Bad Boy Records."

Why the Rosetta Stone shouldn't be returned to Egypt | The Spectator - "here is a piece of debris that, if installed in the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, would look as out of place as a dirty pair of trainers in the Athenaeum. This, after all is (or rather will be, after endless delays in its opening) the final resting place of Tutankhamun, a museum rich in gold and lapis lazuli lying in the shadow of the Great Sphinx and the three massive pyramids built by a much earlier dynasty of Pharaohs... The history of the Rosetta Stone is not local but global, bringing in Greek kings of Egypt, slave sultans, French conquerors and the extraordinary intellectual feat of the French and English scholars who broke the hieroglyphic code. Its return would not reunite it with missing parts, as has been argued in the case of the Parthenon sculptures. Nor was it ever a treasure belonging to a wealthy court, like the Benin Bronzes. For most of its existence it had no owners at all. The British Museum needs to hold on to this discarded piece of ancient rubbish."

Academic Activists Send a Published Paper Down the Memory Hole - "In the highly controversial area of human intelligence, the ‘Greater Male Variability Hypothesis’ (GMVH) asserts that there are more idiots and more geniuses among men than among women. Darwin’s research on evolution in the nineteenth century found that, although there are many exceptions for specific traits and species, there is generally more variability in males than in females of the same species throughout the animal kingdom. Evidence for this hypothesis is fairly robust and has been reported in species ranging from adders and sockeye salmon to wasps and orangutans, as well as humans. Multiple studies have found that boys and men are over-represented at both the high and low ends of the distributions in categories ranging from birth weight and brain structures and 60-meter dash times to reading and mathematics test scores. There are significantly more men than women, for example, among Nobel laureates, music composers, and chess champions—and also among homeless people, suicide victims, and federal prison inmates... anxiety about gender-parity erupted in Silicon Valley... No sooner had Sergei posted a preprint of our accepted article on his website than we began to encounter problems... the National Science Foundation wrote to Sergei requesting that acknowledgment of NSF funding be removed from our paper with immediate effect. I was astonished. I had never before heard of the NSF requesting removal of acknowledgement of funding for any reason. On the contrary, they are usually delighted to have public recognition of their support for science. The ostensible reason for this request was that our paper was unrelated to Sergei’s funded proposal. However, a Freedom of Information request subsequently revealed that Penn State WIM administrator Diane Henderson (“Professor and Chair of the Climate and Diversity Committee”) and Nate Brown (“Professor and Associate Head for Diversity and Equity”) had secretly co-signed a letter to the NSF... the Mathematical Intelligencer’s editor-in-chief Marjorie Senechal notified us that, with “deep regret,” she was rescinding her previous acceptance of our paper. “Several colleagues,” she wrote, had warned her that publication would provoke “extremely strong reactions” and there existed a “very real possibility that the right-wing media may pick this up and hype it internationally.” For the second time in a single day I was left flabbergasted. Working mathematicians are usually thrilled if even five people in the world read our latest article. Now some progressive faction was worried that a fairly straightforward logical argument about male variability might encourage the conservative press to actually read and cite a science paper? In my 40 years of publishing research papers I had never heard of the rejection of an already-accepted paper... Half his board, he explained unhappily, had told him that unless he pulled the article, they would all resign and “harass the journal” he had founded 25 years earlier “until it died.” Faced with the loss of his own scientific legacy, he had capitulated. “A publication in a dead journal,” he offered, “wouldn’t help you.” Colleagues I spoke to were appalled. None of them had ever heard of a paper in any field being disappeared after formal publication. Rejected prior to publication? Of course. Retracted? Yes, but only after an investigation, the results of which would then be made public by way of explanation. But simply disappeared? Never. If a formally refereed and published paper can later be erased from the scientific record and replaced by a completely different article, without any discussion with the author or any announcement in the journal, what will this mean for the future of electronic journals? Meanwhile, Professor Wilkinson had now widened her existing social media campaign against the Intelligencer to include attacks on the NYJM and its editorial staff. As recently as April of this year, she was threatening Facebook friends with ‘unfriending’ unless they severed social media ties with Rivin... the Wall Street Journal would describe Chicago as “The Free-Speech University”... At the Free Speech University, it turns out, talk is cheap... First Harvard, then Google, and now the editors-in-chief of two esteemed scientific journals, the National Science Foundation, and the international publisher Springer have all surrendered to demands from the radical academic Left to suppress a controversial idea. Who will be the next, and for what perceived transgression? If bullying and censorship are now to be re-described as ‘advocacy’ and ‘academic freedom,’ as the Chicago administrators would have it, they will simply replace empiricism and rational discourse as the academic instruments of choice."
From 2018. Clearly science is not political and only conspiracy theorists would think it could be biased
