Heard could face jail over perjury claims in Depp case: Lawyer | Toronto Sun - "Defamation lawyer Aaron Minc said “more and more objective evidence that she is lying about things under oath” could lead to a sentence for the actress... “I think that, as this case goes on, and we start seeing more and more objective evidence that she is lying about things under oath, that’s when it starts crossing the line into the possibility that she is fabricating evidence, fabricating photos, fabricating bruises, altering evidence and then submitting it.”... Sean Caulfield, partner at law firm Hodge, Jones and Allen, told MailOnline Heard could face a perjury probe in the U.K. as misleading a court “cuts to the core of our justice system.”  Asked if he can see police investigating claims she may have lied under oath about donating her $7 million, he added: “Yes, I think so. While it may not be a central issue to the case, perjury is the single biggest threat and cuts to the core of our justice system, so the police may be invited to investigate to show that any member of the public who lies to the court can be prosecuted for perjury.”  The Depp V Heard defamation trial has gripped public attention and sparked huge debate on the state of gender relations and progress of the MeToo movement."

Former TMZ employee snaps back after Amber Heard lawyer suggests he’s testifying for Johnny Depp for fame - "A formerTMZ employee testifying for Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against Amber Heard offered a scathing response when her lawyer suggested he was looking for his “15 minutes of fame”... When Ms Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft suggested Mr Tremaine would get his “15 minutes of fame” by participating in the televised trial, he replied: “I could say the same thing about taking Amber Heard as a client, for you.”  “I stand to gain nothing from this. I’m actually putting myself kind of in the target of TMZ, a very litigious organisation, and I’m not seeking any 15 minutes here”... he dispatched photographers to the Los Angeles courthouse where Ms Heard was awarded a restraining order against Mr Depp in May 2016. Mr Tremaine said TMZ had been tipped off about Ms Heard’s appearance at the court house, but did not reveal who the source of the verified tip was.  “The objective was to capture her leaving the courthouse and she was going to stop and turn to the camera and display the bruise,” Mr Tremaine told the jury... Mr Tremaine said it was very rare for paparazzi to be dispatched to a court unless they’d received a tip. He also testified to TMZ photographers being sent to a law office where Ms Heard was giving a deposition, on 6 August 2016. Once again, he stated that recording at such a location was not common.  Mr Tremaine on Wednesday also described the circumstances under which a video of Mr Depp slamming cupboard doors and throwing a wine bottle was leaked to the outlet. He said it was published on TMZ about 15 minutes after he received it, explaining that copyrighting a video can take weeks if the identity of the owner is unclear, but a matter of minutes if it comes straight from a known source... TMZ lost its bid to prevent Mr Tremaine from testifying in the trial."

Warner Bros Exec Had To Fabricate Chemistry Between Heard And Momoa - "Walter Hamada, the president of DC-based film production Warner Bros, appeared in court via video deposition to debunk claims of reduction in Amber Heard's compensation due to things said by Johnny Depp or his lawyer, Adam Waldman.  He said that in the postproduction of Aquaman, Warner Bros had to "fabricate" chemistry between Amber Heard and Jason Momoa. He also said that her role in and compensation for Aquaman 2 was not in "any way" affected by what Depp or his lawyer said. But Hamada did admit that there was some delay in confirming if Heard would be a part of Aquaman 2. This, he attributed to "conversations about recasting" her role because of the lack of chemistry between Heard and Momoa... "It's not uncommon for two leads to not have chemistry. It's movie magic and editorial - the ability to put performance together. You can fabricate that chemistry. If you watch the movie, they look like they had great chemistry. It took a lot of effort to get there. Sometimes it's very easy and sometimes it's hard."... Bredehoft asked about what they did to fabricate the chemistry. He replied: "Pick the right takes, the right moments, and put scenes together. The music in the scene makes a big difference. Just the magic of postproduction, editing, sound, music, etc."... So, the chemistry in the released work was not a result of Heard's great acting but the postproduction's fantastic editing.   Heard's legal team claimed that she could have gotten more money for the second Aquaman movie, from $2 million to $6 million.  Hamada denied such claims about Warner Bros considering paying Heard more for Aquaman 2. He said that a "big part of [their] philosophy" was to hold actors to their original agreement. He also denied claims of reducing Heard's role in the movie and taking away an action scene... "from the early stages of development of the script, the movie was building around the character of Arthur and Orm," played by Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson, respectively... the co-leads of the movie.  "The movie was always pitched as a buddy comedy between Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson"... Morgan Night, the former owner of the trailer camp in Hicksville close to Joshua tree in California, also took the stand last Tuesday.  Heard claimed that Depp became jealous when she was hugged by another woman who was high on ecstasy while at the camp in 2013. She also said he did a "cavity search" on her private parts, searching for cocaine, during an argument between them later that night and even trashed the trailer. Night's testimony told a different story. He said Heard was "acting jealous and crazy," that Depp was the one "cowering and almost afraid," and that he even became quieter after Heard shouted at him...   Night also admitted that there was some "commotion" in Depp and Heard's trailer and that the following day, he knew something was damaged. After investigations, only a $62 light fixture was damaged, not the whole trailer as Heard claimed... Another person who testified for Depp was Jennifer Howell, a former friend of Amber Heard's sister, Whitney Henriquez.  She appeared via video deposition and said she never saw Depp appear intoxicated or take illicit drugs; neither was she ever told by Heard that Depp was abusive.  Camille Vasquez, Depp's lawyer, asked: "Do you feel any particular sense of loyalty toward Mr. Depp?"  Howell responded: "None at all. I loved someone who I knew was doing something very wrong," she said. "And I knew that they're doing it because they're trying to protect their sister. And I'm trying to protect her. And I'm just trying to get her to wake up and doing the right thing, which is tell the truth.""

"Amber Was The One Acting All Jealous and Crazy 😳," Heard VS Depp Witness Morgan Higby Night Tweeted Before Testimony - "filmmaker and motel owner Morgan Higby Night took the stand in Fairfax, Virginia, where it was confirmed that he was the one behind an April 21 tweet that was posted in response to a tweet from @ThatUmbrella. Part of @ThatUmbrella tweet read, “Johnny Depp will be accused of being jealous because a woman was ‘sitting close’ to Amber Heard.”... "That never happened. I was with them all night. Amber was the one acting all jealous and crazy 😳.”... Night said that he “never saw Depp get physical with anyone.”  He went on to testify about an argument between the estranged couple that he witnessed, saying, “She was upset at him and she was yelling at him… He was kind of cowering and seemed almost afraid, and it was really, like, odd to see because he was older than her obviously, but I just went back in the house.”"

Amber Heard Has A Bloody Lip Picture And The Judge Just Threw It Out - "the judge is not letting the jury see the picture because it was not submitted in time for the trial... Depp's lawyers claimed that the picture was from 2012, and metadata on the image showed it was taken in 2012. Heard had previously stated in the UK case that the tumult in her relationship with Depp started in 2013."

Amber Heard's Bruising Photos Were Used in Editing Program, Expert Says - "A metadata expert questioned as a rebuttal witness in the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard defamation trial testified that he analyzed several of Heard's photos that show alleged evidence of bruising and claimed that he had no way of authenticating them.  Norbert "Bryan" Neumeister brought in several demonstratives that showed the analytics of several photos that Heard submitted showing bruising on her arms or face.  Through Exif data analytics, some of the photos, Neumeister explained, showed that the software for the file was not from an iPhone, but that it was rendered in an editing program... One photo showed a bruise on Heard's arm, and Neumeister said that all three files "don't match forensically" and all "had to go through some type of transformation to change sizes."... A part of her testimony also went viral when she called a makeup palette her "bruise kit," before quickly correcting herself"

Meme - Tongo Bozzie @Noneofthemknew: "Remember when Amber Heard told the truth? about herself"
Amber Heard: "We need to end a culture that protects the abusive- regardless of how much they entertain or how much they earn for those who profit from their success. No matter what there is someone who doesn't assault people who can do your job."

Believe all women? Even Amber Heard? The Johnny Depp lawsuit raises questions about our approach to assault allegations - "During their relationship, in an effort to cover up the bruises given to her by Depp (the actor has admitted to accidentally head-butting her in a drunken state), Heard, according to her attorneys, carried around a Milani All-In-One-Correcting Kit. This particular claim appears to be a blatant lie. The kit wasn’t released until long after the couple had separated... She has, it’s important to note, been accused of severing Depp’s finger; furthermore, she has openly admitted to hitting her ex-husband. Depp’s legal team even produced an audio recording of the actor telling Heard that he is a victim of abuse, and that he intends on telling the world. A rather unbothered sounding Heard responds by saying: “Tell the world Johnny, tell them Johnny Depp…I, Johnny Depp, a man…I’m a victim, too, of domestic violence. Let’s see who believes you.” Do these sound like the words of a respectable human being?... Before the trial, according to Andrew Esquire, a legal expert who has been following the case closely, “the buzzword remained ‘toxic masculinity,’ without consideration that equally ‘toxic’ aspects can exist within femininity as well.” But now, he told me, “as Amber Heard’s lies and deceptions lay bare to the world, the objective reality can no longer be suppressed.” “Women,” he said, “have the capacity for deceit and some choose to exercise that capacity for deceit at the expense of men. Whether this hurts a particular narrative is irrelevant to the truth.” For Johnny Depp, added the lawyer, “this trial should not be about a legal conclusion or monetary damages. This is a trial to repair his reputation.” Indeed. Depp has found himself lumped in the same category as despicable men like Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby. Once a leading Hollywood star, he is now a pariah, positively toxic. What happened to the old adage, innocent until proven guilty? It’s entirely possible that we have gotten this horribly wrong, and that Johnny Depp is in fact the victim."

Johnny Depp trial: Psychologist testifies on Amber Heard's health - "A forensic psychologist testified Tuesday that actor Amber Heard suffers from borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder... Depp is suing Heard for libel in Fairfax County Circuit Court after she wrote an op-ed piece in The Washington Post referring to herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” The article doesn’t mention Depp by name, but his lawyers say the article contains ”defamation by implication” because it clearly refers to allegations of domestic abuse made by heard when she filed for divorce in 2016... Curry also testified that Heard does not suffer post-traumatic stress disorder from her relationship with Depp, as Heard has claimed... borderline personality disorder “seems to be a predictive factor for women who implement violence against their partner.” Depp has said he is the one who was a victim of domestic violence, and that Heard hit him on multiple occasions and threw items like paint cans and vodka bottles at him. Histrionic personality disorder, Curry said, is associated with “drama and shallowness,” and a need to be the center of attention.  She said there’s a correlation in the disorder with people who are physically attractive and “utilize their looks to get that attention.”... jurors heard testimony from Tara Roberts, who managed Depp's private island in the Bahamas. She testified that she never saw Heard with any kind of bruises

paige on Twitter - "I’m laughing so hard, this is Amber Heard’s face after Johnny’s attorneys played the clip of her saying “Tell the world Johnny that I, Johnny depp am a victim of domestic violence, and see if the jury, see how many people believe- or side with you”"

Body-Cam Thwarts Amber Heard's Claim Of Johnny Depp Being Violent
Clearly faked and selectively edited!

Amber Heard's detective fails to find dirt on Johnny Depp, just 'disgusting' friends - "A private detective Paul Barresi, who was hired by Amber Heard to find dirt on Johnny Depp for the ongoing trial, dished out his investigation.  The detective, who reached out to more than 100 friends or acquaintances of Depp, revealed that he failed to find anything questionable about the Pirates of the Caribbean star... "I could not find a case or at least an admission that he physically abused a woman. He's like an angel. Not one of them said anything derogatory"... "I interviewed dozens of people who had known him for three decades, and no one had anything bad to say about him. In fact, they couldn't express enough how generous he was”"
The power of patriarchy!

Beauty-Queen Run Women’s Abuse Group Releases Statement Supporting Johnny Depp - "Mission NGO founder and president Valeria Altobelli, a former Miss Italy, said in a statement that the support group, as “women” and “free thinkers,” have “compassion” for Depp... a jury heard audio of the “Aquaman” actress admitting to “hitting” Depp.  “I didn’t punch you, by the way,” Heard said in the provided audio. “I’m sorry that I didn’t hit you across the face in a proper slap. But, I was hitting you. It was not punching you.”... “I’m not sitting here b****ing about, am I? You are. That’s the difference between me and you. You’re a f***ing baby,” Heard said. “You are such a baby! Grow the f*** up, Johnny.” “I did start a physical fight,” she admitted before Depp explained why he had to get “the f*** out of there.”"

Meme - Cait Cornell: "good morning! if your significant other is sharing viral amber heard propaganda or finds the related *memes* funny, they're overly invested in downplaying and disproving a woman's abuse allegations + you should probably leave them. we see you and y'all look like weirdos!
that's clownery luv"
Believe All Women is alive again now that a Democrat isn't being accused. And liberals will as usual gaslight by pretending that no one ever said that, and ignore the evidence when it's presented

Supermodel Kate Moss DENIES Amber Heard's rumor that Johnny Depp pushed her down stairs

Dee on Twitter - "Amber Heard sold an edited video of Johnny Depp slamming cabinets to TMZ and the whole world instantly took her side. Johnny Depp provided 80+ CCTV videos, hours of audio, and more than two dozen eyewitnesses, and people still wanna rock up and say “I think it was mutual.”
The people who want to cry “mutual abuse” have not been paying attention. Look at AMBER’S OWN TESTIMONY.   She said she couldn’t disagree or question him without being hit. She said she was TERRIFIED of him. THAT was her testimony. It was a lie.   She lied. She lied. SHE LIED.
Amber Heard didn’t testify that it was a “toxic” relationship where “both were bad”. She painted a picture of total helplessness in the face of a “monster.” She said she didn’t even have the passcode to her own phone. She said she only ever hit him ONCE. That was UNDER OATH.
If you want to go with the “mutual” narrative, you’re going to have to admit to yourself that Amber lied. And if Amber lied about not being abusive towards Johnny Depp, why on earth would she be telling the truth about Johnny Depp abusing her?   #JusticeForJohnnyDepp"

Facebook - "So throughout the past week during the Depp/Heard trial we have learned:
•Women can verbally assault men infront of everyone and it's perfectly fine.
•A woman can relieve herself on a man's pillow and laugh with her friends about it and that's fine
•A woman can cut off a man's finger tip in a heated argument and noone bats an eye
•A woman can demand money in a civil setting and claim its for donation purposes and keep it and all is right with the world.
•A woman can gas light a man into believing horrible things about himself that are not true
•A woman can smirk and laugh during court proceedings while a man is forced to relive horrible experiences
•A woman can talk poorly about a man's kids
•A woman can put make up and finger nail polish on her and the law will pass it off as bruises and blood
•A man can be trauma bonded into submission
•A man can love hard and be fearful of failure and force himself to stay
•A man can battle addictions but like everyone else, cannot do it alone.
•A man can lose his career over allegations but a woman with the same keeps her job.
•A man is not allowed to defend himself in court without harassment
•A man is not allowed to have a fair trial because the judge backs the woman
•A man is judged because he worries how the accusations will affect his children, family, etc.
•A MAN CAN BE A VICTIM OF ABUSE AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
I stand with Johnny Depp."

Amber Heard and the crisis of feminism - "Belief in Ms Heard, unflinching faith in everything she says, has become something of a moral litmus test over the past few weeks of the Depp / Heard libel trial. Good people believe Heard, bad people think she’s a lying narcissist... The notion that women are either devils constantly weaving deceits or angels whose every utterance is the gospel truth is incredibly regressive. In this sense, the Heard / Depp trial has shone a light, albeit unwittingly, on some serious problems in what passes for feminism today.  The cry of our post-#MeToo era is ‘Believe women’. But over the past couple of years it has become painfully clear that this does not mean all women. ‘Belief’ is a luxury enjoyed by rich women and right-on women, but it is often denied to poor women and women who are ‘problematic’ in some way. Consider the extraordinary disparity between the media sympathy accorded to middle-class, Oxbridge-educated female journalists in the UK who say they were once clumsily hit on by aging Tory blokes and the media’s reluctance to focus for too long on the dire instances of rape and abuse suffered by working-class girls at the hands of grooming gangs made up of men from mostly Muslim-heritage backgrounds... Even during the Depp / Heard trial – even as Vogue and other woke outlets were insisting that believing Amber’s every claim was the solemn duty of all right-thinking people – we had examples of women being disbelieved. So when it was reported that a young female school student in the UK had been severely bullied for questioning the ideology of transgenderism, the kind of people who normally say ‘Believe women’ essentially said this young woman was iffy as hell. Or at least that the story of her abuse at the hands of 60 trans-believing fellow students sounded very fishy. The Guardian’s Owen Jones led the charge. This ‘story’ – his scare quotes – sounds incredible, he said. He reached out to the 60 students – the alleged bullies, remember – so that he could hear ‘their story’. If you were to use scare quotes around the word story in relation to Amber Heard – Amber’s ‘story’ – you’d be branded a disbelieving bigot. But do it in relation to a girl allegedly bullied for doubting the gospel of genderfluidity and you’re a progressive hero.   Then there’s the Wi Spa incident. People don’t talk about it much these days, but this was surely one of the most shocking examples of British media failure in recent times. This story – or ‘story’, as some might have it – concerns a group of women who were using the female changing area in a spa in Los Angeles when a ‘trans woman’ came in with his tumescent knob swinging about. Bullshit, said the Guardian. It cast aspersions on the black woman who brought this alleged incident of flashing to public attention, pointing out that she’s a Christian. Shudder. ‘Her social-media page frequently features Bible quotes’, the Guardian said from behind its smelling-salts hanky. The whole story – ‘story’? – stinks, the Guardian reported. It is even ‘unclear whether a trans woman was actually present’ on the day in question. Erm, wrong. A 52-year-old male – which is how most of us refer to people with penises – has now been charged with exposing himself to women at the Wi Spa, and to a minor, too. Maybe those bitches were telling the truth? And what about lesbians who tell their stories of being pressured by ‘trans women’ – again, men – into having sexual relations? They must not be believed, either. In fact, so-called progressives will literally protest against media outlets that provide those women with airtime... not only should we automatically disbelieve lesbians who claim they have been abused by trans women (men) – we should silence them... The woke set’s sanctification of Heard, who must be believed, alongside its casting of copious amounts of shade on other women, who must be disbelieved, speaks to some serious confusions in the discussion around feminism, women and truth today. It confirms just how ideological the ‘Believe women’ slogan has been. ‘Believe women like me’ would have been a more honest rallying cry for the woke, well-educated, pussy-hat-wearing warriors of the #MeToo era. They want to hear stories of wealthy celebrities falling victim to male bullying and high-flying female employees overhearing sexist jokes in the workplace...  ‘Believe women, except those poor, stupid or blasphemous women whose oppression we have personally facilitated…’ There’s a broader problem with the cult of instant belief in (some) women’s claims of abuse. Automatic belief in women runs counter to the principles of justice. It negates the longstanding principle that everyone – yes, men too – should be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. And it demeans women by treating them as pure oracles of truth-telling. As the great Margaret Atwood said during the #MeToo moment: ‘To be clear, some women lie. Why not? They’re human beings.’ It is ‘actually detrimental to women’, said Atwood, to treat them as ‘angels of perfection’."

Why It’s Time to Believe Amber Heard - "regardless of what Heard did or didn’t suffer at the hands of Depp, isn’t the relentless memeing of her a form of violence in itself? Is the pummeling by social media not a type of psychological assault? Are we not witnessing a modern-day witch trial?... It’s time to believe women—all women. It’s time to believe Hear"
So does this mean cancel culture is bad? Or is it only bad when it's about holding a woman liberals like "accountable"?
Power relations means never having to say you're sorry - TRAs go after "TERFs" i.e. witches gleefully
Liberal will still gaslight us into believing that no one ever said "believe all women"

All for the Love of Johnny: Is The Depp Trial the End of Women Being Heard? - "Defenders of the popular Hollywood movie star, Johnny Depp, are so numerous (almost 2 Billion) and rabid and frequently nasty in their defense of the actor, that I have found most publishers unwilling to publish anything on the case that is not either in favor of Depp or absent of opinion completely. Even the usually vocal feminist organizations have largely abandoned Amber Heard, lest they be crushed by the overwhelming power of Depp’s popularity... Amber Heard, who also engaged in theatrics and lied on the stand (just as Depp and his witnesses did) and in at least one instance seems to have tried to exaggerate her injuries, but we cannot know her reasons for doing that if in fact she did. One of the things the MeToo movement brought out was just how difficult it is for women to be believed, even when they have good evidence and the courage top speak. This can lead to women feeling like they have to fabricate evidence to make their cases ironclad because their word is not good enough, hence we saw the emergence of the term “believe women.”...  If we were to accept what the MRAs are saying and that society’s institutions now are tilted too far in favor of women in cases such as this, I would suggest that is as it should be, because of the long history of vicious violence by men against women that only the most dishonest or delusional people would deny. That history of male violence brings with it a powerful psychological legacy or, rather, perhaps a kind of Jungian phylogenetic collective trauma that instills in women an anticipatory fear response whenever men get angry, triggering in some women an instinctual fight or flight response (reactionary violence). In the case of strong women like Amber Heard this might result in preemptive strikes, such as throwing things in order to warn the man off, actions that could be misinterpreted by others as offensive in nature but which are really a kind of genetic defense mechanism programmed by countless generations of male abuse of women."
Basically it's okay for women to abuse men and to make up stuff because men are evil
Given how many establishment institutions are irrationally supporting Amber Heard, probably the author tried to submit something ridiculous like this and when it got rejected she thought it was a conspiracy to silence pro-Heard writers

Amber Heard Admits She Hasn’t Donated $7m Divorce Money To Charity As Promised - "When Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reached a divorce settlement in 2016, Heard announced that she would donate the entirety of her $7 million payout to charity and that the money would be split between two organisations: the American Civil Liberties Union and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Heard testified on Monday that she had received the full settlement amount by October 2018, Heard, but Terence Dougherty, the ACLU’s Chief Operating Officer , testified earlier in the trial that so far the organisation only received a total of $1.3m.  Dougherty also added that $500,000 of the donation came from an account at investment firm Vanguard, which Dougherty said he ‘believed was a fund set up by Elon Musk’, who Heard dated after breaking up with Depp...        In 2018, Heard appeared on Dutch talk show RTL Late Night and said:      $7million in total was donated – I split it between the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. I wanted nothing."

The ACLU Says It Wrote Amber Heard's Domestic Violence Op-Ed and Timed It to Her Film Release - "ACLU staffers actually ghost-wrote The Washington Post op-ed at the center of the trial, in which Heard claimed to be a survivor of domestic violence, and they pitched on her behalf, timed to the release of Heard’s then-upcoming film, Aquaman."

WIRED - "Ever since the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard began in April, an unsettling kind of stan culture has formed around it. Thousands of TikToks have cropped up supporting Depp, but more disturbingly, even more have appeared mocking Heard. Fandom has often intersected with celebrity trials, going back to the throngs of supporters who showed up to support Michael Jackson in 2005. In some instances the attention has put the public eye back on overlooked stories, like Britney Spears’ conservatorship, which took a turn thanks to the #FreeBritney movement. But there’s something particularly unsettling about the brand of attention emerging from the Depp/Heard trial. Supporting a celebrity embroiled in a legal case is one thing, making memes mocking someone who’s alleging they were hit by their partner is another. It could set a terrifying precedent for those seeking to come forward with allegations like this in the future."

Comment: "Good job, AH's new PR team, for sending out writing prompts or maybe even ghost-writing articles/op-eds/gloss columns that then magazines and news sites can take over. Saves cost on actual research and journalism for the magazines, and gets a ton of clicks and (angry) reactions. Kudos."

Why do people take so much pleasure in attacking Amber Heard? - "Your opinion of the actress and whether or not she is guilty, in the wrong, or however you want to phrase it is not what is important at this moment. What is more shocking, at least for myself, is how quick the public began to rip her apart the minute a possible domestic abuse case was false. The way you see people speaking about Amber Heard online you rarely see when the case is the other way around.  Have there been online forums built dedicated to pouring out hatred on any man who has ever raped or abused a woman? Has the news cycle ever been so dedicated to a man who has done the crimes that Heard originally accused Depp of doing?...   This tidal wave of hate towards Amber Heard is troubling in what repercussions it might mean for other women who do experience violence against women... before you go on saying terrible things about Amber Heard to your friends or on an online forum, think about what impact your words might have. Chances are Heard will never read your comments or hear your words. But another woman who actually has been abused or is in a dangerous situation might."
Women are always victims
Julie Hambleton has forgotten about the hatred for Brock Turner - who didn't even rape the girl

‘It’s harmful and humiliating’: how Amber Heard’s haters undermine the victims of domestic violence - "Posts debunking supposed inconsistencies in Heard’s evidence have gone viral, alongside footage of a Starbucks in California that reportedly put out two tip jars – one labelled with Heard’s name, the other Depp’s – so customers could “vote” for their favourite, as if on a reality TV show. While Depp’s jar appears stuffed with dollar bills, Heard’s looks forlornly empty. As the psychologist Dr Jessica Taylor, of the anti-victim-blaming group Victim Focus, tweeted last week: “The fact that a man going into court to face his ex-wife giving extremely graphic testimony of sexual assault and abuse is met with gifts, fans, banners, women crying and men high-fiving him is pretty jaw-dropping no matter your views on this case.”... British domestic violence campaigners now fear the public mockery of Heard risks deterring victims here from coming forward, for fear of being belittled and disbelieved... Whatever the ultimate verdict in this case, the public response to it sheds a disturbing light on how misogyny persists even in a supposedly “woke” generation... “I’ve had pushback from some people saying: ‘Well, if she made a false allegation then we have to call it out’,” says Waxman, “but it’s fuelling the misconception that false allegations of abuse and sexual abuse are rife. They’re not.” Home Office research suggests only around 3% to 6% of rape allegations are false, she says; in such cases the truth should be established by police and courts in possession of all the evidence, not amateur trial by social media... many of the Heard-baiters on social media or fans mobbing Depp outside court are young women closer to Heard’s age of 36.  To Davison, that’s not so surprising. “We live in a misogynistic world, and therefore what we accept is normal, what we think is normal, is misogynistic, whether we’re male or female.” Arguably, the pro-Depp hashtag #abusehasnogender, shared online by both men and women, may also have particular resonance for younger people used to rejecting crude gender stereotypes. Certainly one thing that makes this case particularly incendiary is that Heard herself was arrested in 2009 on suspicion of assaulting her then girlfriend, Tasya van Ree. All charges were dropped and van Ree has subsequently insisted Heard was “wrongfully” accused, by police who “misinterpreted and over-sensationalised the incident”... Without passing judgment on what may or may not have happened in this particular marriage, Davison says domestic abuse classically involves an imbalance of power, allowing one partner to control the other. “We don’t subscribe as Refuge to the idea that a relationship is abusive – that starts to muddle things. A perpetrator can be abusive, and it is always a perpetrator’s choice to abuse. I think once you start to call a relationship abusive or toxic, it starts to apportion blame to the victim.” She adds: “What’s also commonly known in domestic abuse is the concept of DARVO – the perpetrator Denying, then Attacking, then Reversing the Victim-Offender role.”"
Weird how the media are not opining on how Amber Heard's lies, false accusations and domestic violence undermine the victims of domestic violence
Of course, liberals continue to gaslight that no one ever said "Believe All Women", when we have multiple examples of that, and this unconditional trust of Amber Heard is an exemplar of believing all women
Even if you take the voodoo stats on false accusations at face value, this is a mischievous slippage from rape to abuse
Since both Heard and Depp accuse each other of abuse, the default is to believe Heard, even though data shows that most abusive relationships see mutual abuse and 70% of one-sided abusive relationships have the woman as abuser

Believing Amber Heard is about believing all victims - The F-Word - "When I heard the news that Amber Heard had been granted a restraining order against her husband Johnny Depp due to domestic violence, I found myself thinking, “I hope that’s not true.” But it was hardly going to be some terrible misunderstanding. Of course #Ibelieveher.  Believing women who allege intimate violence is not about condemning an accused man. It is primarily about countering the widely expressed assumption that women who make allegations are lying, exaggerating or deserving of the ill treatment they have received. I believe that Johnny Depp assaulted Amber Heard, but that’s all there is to say about him. Those who believe that their admiration for Depp trumps any evidence against him have far more to say about Amber Heard. These accusations and insinuations are familiar to any woman who has considered speaking out about domestic abuse. Believing women who allege intimate violence is about all these women... Believing women is also logical. One in four women will experience some form of domestic violence in their lifetime; abuse is common and – in the absence of compelling evidence to the contrary – is by far the most likely explanation for any allegation... this must be an extremely distressing time for Depp. But just for him; there’s no-one else being directly harmed or put in danger by the presumption of his guilt. Meanwhile, his life will not be dramatically changed by it; the cases of Christian Slater, Sean Penn and many others show us that culturally, violence against women is seen almost as part of the lifestyle of rich and famous men in Hollywood, along with the drugs and wild parties.   Depp’s representatives are quoted as describing Heard as “an affront to real victims of domestic violence“, but the reality is that hundreds of thousands of real victims of domestic violence are looking on, listening to public opinion, media coverage and the attitudes of their friends, observing the imaginative lengths people will go to in order to discredit victims."
So you counter the "assumption" that women who make allegations are lying etc by believing all women. Fantastic logic
Apparently men aren't harmed by the assumption that men are always abusers

Opinion | Amber Heard and the Death of #MeToo - The New York Times - "Some domestic violence experts consider mutual abuse a myth, arguing that while both partners in a toxic relationship can behave terribly, one usually exercises power over the other. But even if you believe that Heard acted inexcusably, the idea that she was the primary aggressor — against a larger man with far more resources who was recorded cursing at her for daring to speak in an “authoritative” way — defies logic."
Feminists think men always have the power, which is a convenient way of blaming men even when women are abusive

Facebook - "The whole of Amber Heards testimony was hard to watch.  Not because I believe her. Not because she cried a few crocodile tears. Not because of the stories she was telling us. But because watching her stutter and pause while she made up more lies was sadly laughable.  Do I personally believe some of her story? absolutely.  Was Johnny struggling with alcohol and substance abuse? probably.  Was he beating her? absolutely not.  An abused person wouldn’t have sat there with the confidence she did. An abused person remembers every detail of what happened to them as much as they wish to block it out.  Johnny remembered dates & exactly what happened.  She couldn’t separate  one event from the next  I’m no body language expert but she doesn’t look like a victim to me.  Her tenses when telling her stories changed numerous times instead of past tense she would use present tense which is a massive indication of comeone making up on the spot.   She’s been caught out lying already & called out by make up company Malani cosmetics.  Meanwhile, In the courtroom last night Depp sat there with his head down not wanting to look at HIS abuser.  He bought ACTUAL evidence and witnesses who state Heard was the abuser in there relationship.  Toxic femininity IS and always has been a thing, unfortunately. It’s just never really taken seriously, which allowed women like Heard to say these detrimental things that ruin a mans life.  Disney dropped Depp in a heartbeat because “he’s an abusive male”  Yet, Warner Bros. continued to work with Heard despite the evidence against her.  It’s no wonder abused men don’t seek help.  People will believe what they believe but I truly hope Johnny wins this and I have no doubt he will.  We see your lies Ms Turd"

Amber Heard's personal nurse testifies that the actress was deeply jealous of Johnny Depp's fame - "The court heard from Erin Falati, also known as Erin Boerum, the former nurse of Amber Heard... Heard 'reports history of substance abuse including an addiction to cocaine and liquor.'  'Heard does not smoke but reports she drinks '1-3 glasses of red wine a day,' the notes state.  The notes state: 'Familial history of substance abuse, both mother and father have abused and become dependent on stimulants.  'Client admits to a history of anxiety, eating disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, bipolar disorder, codependence issues and occasional insomnia.  'Client identifies as bisexual, and was married to a female partner prior to current relationship.'  The notes add that Heard had been 'experiencing increased agitation recently and has had several outbursts of anger and rage. Her mood has been labile.'  Asked what 'labile' meant, Falati said: 'Emotional lability is when emotions spin on a pendulum, you see someone sad and quickly transition to extreme happiness, it's like a pendulum.'... Falati told the court she recalled Heard acting like this during the time she treated her.  In another remark from the notes, Falati said: 'Client expressed concern to husband and Dr Kipper (Depp's personal doctor) she is nervous about being alone while husband is working (on movie set in London) and expressed she has difficulty dealing with feelings of insecurity and jealousy when not in presence of her husband.'... In Falati's medical notes from September 2, 2014, she wrote that Heard reported 'difficulty with jealousy issues and anxiety around fiance's fame and ability to interact with females often.'  Falati told the court she recalled a 'general sense of jealousy and anxiety issues cropping up over the years.'  In the medical notes from September 4, 2014, Falati noted that at dinner Heard became 'frustrated' with the wait staff over a miscommunication.  Heard calmly repeated herself which caused Falati to reflect on her 'change in coping mechanism' as previously Heard's coping skills involved 'anger and yelling.'... Heard was 'concerned about ability to trust fiance following argument' two days earlier.  Falati told the court she had a 'generalized memory of there being jealousy and anxiety issues including mistrust within the relationship.'... 'Client admits to illicit drug use, and states she ingested mushrooms and MDMA simultaneously and vomited and was 'high for at least 24 hours straight.'  '(Falati) reminded client that illicit drug use will not be tolerated by medical staff and that any medications or drugs that are not prescribed can cause adverse effects with her prescribed medication.  'Client laughed and also reported using illicit drugs (mushrooms and MDMA) on March 9 at home with a high profile male acquaintance. Client reported that her husband was not aware of the male visitor, not her illicit drug use.'... Mike Spindler, a forensic accountant called by the Depp team, testified that Depp lost out of $40m in earnings as a result of the claims by Heard.  Of that $20.2m was from the loss of Pirates of the Caribbean 6, where Depp would have played the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, after agent's fees were deducted.  Between the Washington Post op-ed being published in December 2018 and October 2020, Depp lost out on another $20m from other films he didn't appear in.  That led to total losses of $40,317,237, Spindler claimed... Depp's lawyer Benjamin Chew said that Depp had 'come forward with multiple credible witnesses, documents and authentic tape recordings of Miss Heard herself.'  The evidence satisfied all 'requisite elements' and even went the 'extra mile of showing Miss Heard physically abused him.'... Depp's lawyer Chew said that the 'most convincing and most disgusting' evidence was from emails sent by the ACLU to the Washington Post pitching the idea of the piece.  In the email one ACLU executive told a Washington Post editor that it was written by Heard who 'as you may recall was beaten up during her brief marriage to Johnny Depp.'  Chew claimed that the ACLU 'helped her (Heard) to lie about it' afterwards and called the civil rights group a 'co-conspirator with Miss Heard' that played a 'frankly reprehensible role' in the case.  The lawyer claimed that Heard told the ACLU to 'put it back in, make it more spicy', referring to an allusion to Depp  Without that the piece would have ended up in Teen Vogue as 'no-one was interested in what she had to say unless she was defaming Mr. Depp', Chew said...  'Witness after witness has testified that Miss Heard, far from being a figure representing domestic violence, is in fact a recidivist perpetrator of domestic violence on Mr. Depp and others.'"

Amber Heard TikToks about Johnny Depp trial triggering abuse victims - "The loudest voices on the internet may not believe Heard, but millions of women have had experiences like the ones she describes. When people mock her, experts say they're inadvertently laughing at every person who has said they are a victim of abuse. The 1 in 4 women who have experienced intimate partner violence are watching, listening and weighing the cost of voice... Experts say public reaction to the defamation trial is triggering survivors and perpetuating stereotypes that muddle the cultural conversation on domestic violence, which still hasn't had its own #MeToo moment... During the trial, it was revealed that Heard used illegal substances. She admitted hitting Depp, and jurors heard recordings of her berating him.   "What we're finding is that Amber Heard, now that we know she isn't perfect, isn't being taken seriously or, even worse, is being accused of lying from the beginning. I find it really disturbing," says Kjerstin Gruys, a sociologist at the University of Nevada, Reno... Turning Heard into a joke has a social cost. Millions of people have experienced intimate partner violence and cultural stigma can keep many from disclosing it. There are survivors in every community, and they are witnessing Heard be torn apart, sometimes by their own friends and family."
It's dangerous to hold women abusers accountable, since women are and can only ever be victims, and this stereotype is good. It is dangerous not to believe women who lie, because misogyny

Domestic Violence Is Not the Result of Patriarchy - "As a doctoral psychology and relationship researcher, currently writing my dissertation on the topic of intimate partner violence, I’ve been following this case with close attention and deep frustration at the double standard with which society addresses the topic of domestic abuse... Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a global public health and human rights issue. Recently, social isolation and stay-at-home measures due to COVID-19 have further exacerbated this issue as there has been a dramatic increase in IPV cases worldwide. IPV refers to any behavior carried out to inflict harm to romantic partners; however, it is commonly associated with male-inflicted violence. This popular belief is referred to as the “gender paradigm” and stems from a patriarchal view of domestic violence. From this perspective, men in Western cultures are socialized to dominate women and even have the right to use violence to establish power and control over women. However, research consistently finds that women in heterosexual relationships tend to perpetrate violence against intimate partners at least as often as men (if not more)... male victims of domestic abuse are often met with suspicion or disbelief and have difficulty finding public help because services or shelters for domestic abuse mostly focus on female victims. Moreover, female-inflicted violence towards men is not taken as seriously in courts and tends to be viewed as less severe despite data suggesting that men are more likely to get physically injured by female intimate partners. In addition to physical injury, male victims of IPV also suffer psychological consequences, such as post traumatic stress symptoms.  Consequently, the view that all acts of domestic violence are the result of patriarchy alone is not only misleading but also dangerous because a) it ignores male victims, and b) it fails to explain female-inflicted violence towards male intimate partners. It is, therefore, time for a major revision of our thinking, and time to replace the gender paradigm of domestic abuse with a scientifically sound perspective of the issue that is rooted in facts, not ideology... The research into attachment styles and IPV consistently shows that people with insecure attachment styles, specifically those with an anxious attachment style, tend to perpetrate more violence against intimate partners. However, the way partners’ attachment styles interact in a couple may be especially predictive of IPV perpetration. Specifically, the pairing of anxiously attached and avoidantly attached partners can be a recipe for disaster. For example, while the avoidant partner wants to evade intimacy, the anxious partner wants to seek constant reassurance and be physically close to their partner. The avoidant partner, who is uncomfortable with intimacy and wants to feel independent, may perceive the anxious partner as needy and clingy. Consequently, when the anxious partner’s attachment needs are not met by the avoidant partner, they can feel rejected and could resort to maladaptive “protest behaviors” (like children throwing tantrums) to get close to their avoidant partners"
