Day 3 - 18th May - Trakai, Lithuania (Part 3)

Leda and the Swan

The Three Graces

YC having fun (in contrast to wt's reach for redemption)
The gift shop had this cute opportunity: wear a silly (and painful) helmet and take a photo for 4 LT:

"I love Lithuania. Hmm... but where is it?"
I got "Welcome to Lithuania, country of rich history, good beer and beautiful women" (not pictured)

With the cracks in the side, it looks like it's about to collapse. Maybe they need a movement to rebuild the Castle again.

We had dinner at a Karaite restaurant. The Karaites are Turkish Jews who use the Arabic script. This likely gets them hated by everyone.

Menu
They had 'Tea' and 'Connoisseur's Tea'. I was wondering what the difference was. I asked the waitress and she said the latter let you choose between black, green and fruit. So in other words, it was probably the difference between Boh (Malaysian) and Lipton (British).

Their special brew of Kvass and a cumin drink (the latter was horrible), for 2 LT each. The Kvass was nice and smooth, and not as sour as the other day's. The cumin tasted like mild lemongrass.

Appetisers: peas with bacon and fried bread with cheese (great comfort food)

(Cold) Beetroot soup with potatoes, Chicken and mushroom kibinai, Pork and cheese kibinai and pork kibinai (pastries with meat inside). They were supposed to have a lot of juice like xiaolongbao but they didn't have much. The stuffing was the same as the dough thing I had in the supermarket at Uzupis.
