Offended by offence

A: B, C, D, E, I didn’t mean any of my racist or sexist remarks at the meetup. I apologise if you were offended. My brain thinks I shouldn’t say things like that but my insufferable Hainanese genes think otherwise. (I further apologise, and pound fists, if any of you also happen to be Hainanese.)

B: Huh? I'm offended that you think I'm sensitive enough to be offended by you. I demand an apology for your apology now!
