The new Mac OS, Snow Leopard, billed as "The world's most advanced OS", will let you restore Trash items to their original location.
Just like Windows, which has been performing this feat for the past 13 years, since Windows 95.
Of course, Mac whores have doubtless been arguing since the release of Mac OS X that this feature is unnecessary.
Some would also raise the point that in Mac OS 9 (and since System 7), there was the "Put Away" feature that did the very same thing, but then that's like saying that complaining that Windows 95 was unstable was a moot point, because Windows 3.1 was rock-solid.
