Links - 3rd September 2025 (2 - Hamas Attack Oct 2023)

Gary Lineker and Mo Salah’s ‘we can’t hear you’ hypocrisy is plain to see - "“We can’t hear you, Uefa,” wrote Gary Lineker, outraged that European football’s governing body had not acknowledged the alleged circumstances of the death of Suleiman al-Obeid, aka the “Palestinian Pele”. According to the Palestine Football Association (PFA), the 41-year-old was killed while waiting for humanitarian aid last week in the south of the Gaza Strip. Of all the subjects on which to claim a conspiracy of silence, this was surely not Lineker’s wisest choice. After all, when 1,195 Israelis were slaughtered by Hamas on October 7, 2023, nobody could hear him either. On the occasion of the worst single-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, the one sally on social media by the self-appointed moral conscience of the game was the observation: “Super Spurs are top of the league.”  Almost two years on, his suggestion that Uefa is under some urgent imperative to tell the world about what happened to Al-Obeid feels at best naive, at worst cynical in its inconsistency. Strictly speaking, there was no need for anybody in Nyon to address the issue publicly, given Palestine’s affiliation to the Asian confederation, outside Uefa’s jurisdiction. But Aleksander Ceferin, pathologically averse to anything that could be construed as political, still offered a lavish tribute, reflecting in a statement attributed to the president: “His talent and dedication gave the children of Gaza and beyond hope in a brighter tomorrow.” In stark contrast, the murder at the Nova music festival of Lior Asulin, a striker who played at the highest level in his home country for Hapoel Tel Aviv and Beitar Jerusalem, passed entirely without Uefa comment 22 months ago, despite Israel falling within its orbit. Asulin even competed in its own competition, turning out six times in 2007 for Hapoel in the Uefa Cup. But for 674 days the details of his death – he was killed by Hamas terrorists at a rave where he had been celebrating his 43rd birthday – have gone wholly unremarked by Ceferin, or indeed by Lineker. In fairness, Lineker is far from the only influential figure imploring Uefa to broadcast the Palestinian narrative around how Al-Obeid died. Mohamed Salah also took the organisation to task, replying to the “Palestinian Pele” message: “Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?” That intervention was swiftly amplified by Jeremy Corbyn, the former Labour leader who refused to condemn Hamas in the aftermath of October 7. “Well done Mo!” he said. While there is no doubting the sincerity of Salah’s sentiments, his contributions have followed the Lineker playbook in terms of only conveying one side of the story. In a rare non-sponsored video message, released just 11 days after the Hamas atrocities, he did not mention Israel once, instead focusing only on the escalating Israeli response and a call to open a humanitarian corridor into Gaza. There is a sense that Salah’s anger on this front would be better directed against his own government in Egypt, rather than an avowedly apolitical body like Uefa. Egypt has adopted a hardline opposition to allowing vulnerable Palestinians to cross the Rafah border crossing into Sinai, denying them a temporary safe haven on the grounds that Israel might never permit them to go back. Mohamed Farid, an Egyptian senator, has argued that the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza would merely fuel support for Hamas’s extremist ideology and exacerbate tensions throughout the region. Surely Salah, well-intentioned though he might be, would be better advised to engage with this school of thought in his homeland, rather than to play to the gallery online.  Sadly, it is only performative antics that cut through in his sphere... From the vantage point of Lineker et al, Uefa’s selective testimony on Al-Obeid is cast as a damning indictment of indifference to the Palestinians’ suffering. But you cannot be taken seriously as a paragon of virtue if your application of morality is so one-sided that you fail to address an Israeli footballer’s murder, or even the massacre of Jews that precipitated this entire conflagration. That is not altruism, it is activism."

Andrew Fox on X - "Journalists on the Gaza aid drop flights have been taking footage from the sky. Now gasping in horror at the destruction.  Welcome to urban warfare when the defender has weaponised the whole landscape to a degree never before seen in modern warfare. I mean, *EVER*. What Hamas did in weaponising Gazan civilian infrastructure has never been done before.   I warned Israeli officials over a year ago that they needed to prepare the world for seeing this. They haven’t bothered.   Now you can expect waves and waves of condemnation from people who either don’t understand why this happened, or who pretend not to, because they have an agenda."
Itamar Avni / Chief Hasbara Officer on X - "Such documentation has been around for months - it should surprise no one. And it's about time more military experts step up and share an objective view about urban wars, especially the one in Gaza. The picture is from Homs, Syria. Homs looked like Gaza, but no one cared."

Evan 📟⌛️ on X - "This tight crop still seems dangerously misleading for laypeople of aerial photography. The other widely circulated photo leading up to this was even more egregiously framed given its reality. Pictured: Left picture 📸 is Gaza Right picture 📸 is Cairo"

Prof Liz B 🇬🇧🇮🇱🇺🇦🇵🇸 on X - "Not denying but war is catastrophic.  Did you call out Egypt when it flattened Rafah to the ground on its side of the border in 2013-2015? Just to protect itself from Gaza when there was no war?  @BBCNews  & @hrw  prob forgotten they reported the forced displacement of 1000s of Palestinians   Where were #alleyes then?  Where was the condemnation?’"
Clearly, Egypt needed to flatten Rafah to prevent Israel from ethnically cleansing Gaza

'Throat Slitting' Sign to Hamas Attack Survivor Raises Eurovision Concerns - "Israeli singer Yuval Raphael, who survived Hamas' 2023 attack on Israel, faced protests including an alleged throat-slitting gesture during the Eurovision's opening event in Basel, Switzerland"
Damn Zionists trying to silence pro-Palestinian protest!

Claudia Webbe on X - "Israel does not want peace, they want Gaza. Free Palestine"
Mike Coté on X - "Israel *had* Gaza. They left willingly, even going so far as to forcibly evict Jews from their homes. They didn't take the infrastructure they built; the Gazans destroyed it. Hamas doesn't want Gaza, it wants all of Israel, completely free of Jews. That's actual genocide."

Hamas places bounty on aid workers: GHF - "The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) published a statement on June 28 acknowledging ‘credible’ reports that Hamas has placed bounties on aid workers, including American personnel. The statement adds to the increasing evidence that Hamas is actively attempting to undermine the GHF, as the nonprofit has become the primary source of aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip."
Why are the Zionists targeting aid workers again?!

World Central Kitchen | World Central Kitchen Condemns Impersonation of Aid Workers in Gaza
Of course, terrorist supporters were still denying this

AG on X - "Today Hamas tried to kill two Americans because they are trying to distribute aid to Palestinians in Gaza.   Almost every day, the media (especially the AP) spreads blood libels that come from Hamas associates aimed at those same Americans risking their lives. All because Hamas, and their media allies in Gaza, are threatened by an aid system that doesn’t allow them to control and profit from the aid. They invent the lies and western media repeats them daily.   It’s been one of the most shameful elements of the extended information war coming out of Gaza because this time the lies aren’t just aimed at Israel, but Americans trying to make a difference. It shows how little of this has ever been about concern for innocent Palestinians. It’s something I will never forget."
Damn Zionists harming aid workers!

Amjad Taha أمجد طه on X - "Hamas killed 12 young Palestinian aid workers in #Gaza as they tried to feed their own people. The media turned its back. The UN couldn’t even release a single statement for the murdered souls. Not a word. Not a tear. Why? Because Israel wasn’t involved. Muslim Brotherhood terrorists kill, and the UN stays silent like a coward. This isn’t silence. It’s complicity.  The USA is trying to help through @GHFUpdates , and here @JohnnieM  is explaining this sad, inhuman moment. #GazaDoctorsUnderAttack"

France suspends Gaza evacuations over antisemitic posts by Palestinian student - "French authorities have suspended all evacuations from Gaza on Friday following revelations that a Palestinian student granted entry to France is under investigation for antisemitic content posted on her social media.  A criminal inquiry has been launched against 25-year-old Nour A, a Gaza native who arrived in the country in early July and was set to begin a master’s degree at Sciences Po Lille in the northern French city this autumn."

Philip Klein on X - "So @ABC thinks that Jews who were kidnapped ranging from infants to elderly women are "detainees" -- as if they wondered into Gaza and broke the laws there and were taken prisoner. Beyond disgusting."
Meanwhile, terrorism supporters claim Palestinians who try to kill Israelis and are convicted and imprisoned are hostages

‌Hemdad Arwandi on X - "Turkey has bombed Iraqi Kurdistan 18,235 times since the beginning of 2025. Hundreds of villages have been occupied, destroyed, and depopulated by the Turkish army, thousands of civilians displaced. Zero condemnations from the UN."

Muslim charity boss delivered sermon on killing Jews six days after Oct 7 - "Harun Abdur Rashid Holmes, a leading figure with Nottingham Islam Information Point (NIIP), has been barred from acting as a charity trustee for three years after delivering a sermon in which he stated that Muslims would kill Jews until they “hide behind a rock”.  Holmes was accused of anti-Semitism and inciting violence after delivering the sermon on the charity’s premises in which he stated: “The hour will not begin until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims will kill them until a Jew hides behind a rock or a tree. And the rock or tree will say, ‘Oh Muslim... there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him.’”... The commission said some of the content of the sermon had been taken from a specific “Hadith”, a narration of historical events ascribed to the prophet Mohammed but it was delivered without the appropriate context and “as such was inflammatory and divisive”."
Josh Howie on X - "Just want to make sure I’ve got this right. A UK charity set up to “clear misconceptions on the religion of Islam”, was filmed delivering a sermon 6 days after Islamists murdered and raped 1200 Jews, which called for Muslims to kill Jews. And after a 20-month investigation, the Charity Commission have jumped into taking decisive action by issuing the charity  with… a formal warning. And to deter future calls to murder Jews, the man who gave the sermon has… been banned from being a charity trustee for three whole years.  The UK is so fucked."
Clearly, he really meant that they should kill "Zionists", because there's nothing wrong with murdering people who have contemptible political views
GB News blew the whistle. No wonder left wingers hate them so much

Terry Newman: Keffiyeh-draped anti-Israel protesters target Jews at Saint John festival - "Saint John’s International Culturefest, according to the festival’s website, is supposed to be “a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism, community, and connection.” But it erupted into chaos on Aug. 2, when demonstrators gathered around an Israel booth, engaging in what some members of the Jewish community have described as threatening and intimidating behaviour culminating in an alleged assault and two arrests. No statement was made by the committee organizing the festival or the local police. The story was largely ignored by local media... on Friday, Aug. 1, the evening before the International Culturefest, the Israeli flag at the event had been spray painted and had to be replaced with another from the synagogue on Saturday morning. But this wasn’t all that happened. On Saturday Aug. 2, at the festival Washburn describes as “an annual celebration of international cultures,” anti-Israel protesters with face coverings “invaded the Israeli space and shot at those attending the booth with water guns filled with red water.” Washburn noted that when the volunteers “attempted to protect their space, one was physically assaulted, breaking her glasses.” He told congregants, in his email, that the “guarantees of security for the event from the Culturefest Committee were not fulfilled, and there was no apparent police presence at the time of the incident. The incident ended with the arrest of two of the protesters, based on the assault.”... Mohamed Bagha, Managing Director of the Saint John Newcomer’s Centre, which is responsible for the festival, declined a request for comment... a post was created by Mohamed Elazab, the administrator of a Facebook group called Ask Saint John , at 4:02 pm ET. The post is titled, “Concerning Incident at the Multicultural Fest in Saint John.” In the post, Elazab complains that the Saint John police arrested and detained a minor who, he claims, was “peacefully protesting in a public space.” He goes on to say that his attached video proves that the minor was “peacefully protesting in a public space.”... While the three videos don’t capture the alleged assault, what they do capture is an intimidating, threatening circus involving adults and children... “Just say, freedom of speech, or whatever.” The video ends with the jailbird following these instructions and asking an officer for their badge number. What about freedom from intimidation, harassment, and allegedly, violence?... “At some point, protesters came very close to us shouting, threatening, and defacing our materials by spraying red ink from water guns onto our books, our flag, and even the volunteers at the booth. When one of our female volunteers attempted to stop them from coming at us, she was punched in the face, sustaining a mild concussion and damage to her glasses.”... What did make it to the local news that day was an announcement from Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, that $61,000 would be invested in the festival by the federal government. Guilbeault’s statement about the investment notes that it is to support “events that celebrate Canada’s cultural diversity strengthens communities by bringing people together and providing a platform to share our stories, heritage and traditions, helping build a stronger, more united Canada.” This year’s Saint John International Culturefest appeared to do the opposite."
Good luck if you peacefully protest in a Muslim space

Hamas cheers recognizing 'Palestine' but only if there is no Israel - "Australia followed Canada in saying that it will recognize a Palestinian state based on assurances from the Palestinian Authority that it will demilitarize Gaza, hold elections and exclude Hamas — even though, less than two weeks earlier, Hamas unequivocally stated that it has no intention of relinquishing power or ending its holy war against the Jewish people. On July 31, an Arabic-language press release on a United Nations conference that had just taken place in New York was posted to a Hamas Telegram channel. Signed by Hamas and its terrorist allies — including Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine — the statement said that the “conference and the resulting political declaration (known as the New York Declaration) carry important implications,” and proceeded to list the takeaways the terrorists had gleaned from it... Commenting directly on the New York Declaration, the terrorist groups welcomed international efforts “to support our Palestinian people and their legitimate rights,” which they said came about as a “direct result of the expansion of international solidarity with our people caused by the destructive Zionist war and the increased pressure this placed on the international community.” In other words: Hamas’s efforts to turn world opinion against Israel by using its own people as human shields and prolonging their suffering by refusing to end the war has been an unmitigated success. Rather than laying down their arms and releasing the hostages in order to realize their stated dream of an “independent, fully sovereign state,” the terrorists “demand unconditional international recognition” of a Palestinian state, which they claim as an “inalienable” right that “cannot be negotiated or postponed.” Hamas agrees with much of the rest of the world that a ceasefire should take effect in Gaza, but says it “must be implemented immediately, without linking it to any political issues,” such as the release of the remaining hostages. Nor are the terrorist groups at all willing to renounce violence. In fact, they say that “Palestinian resistance in all its forms is a natural and legitimate response” to Israel’s “occupation,” and that their “resistance will not cease until the occupation ends and our people achieve their goals.” And those goals do not include two states living side by side in peace, but a Palestinian state that stretches from the river to the sea, with any Jews left alive forced to fend for themselves in the Mediterranean. They reject any talk of forging a lasting peace between Israel and its neighbours, saying that it would only “prolong (Israel’s) presence on our usurped land,” and demand not only an independent state with “Jerusalem as its capital,” but the “return of refugees” — i.e., allowing the descendants of the Arabs who fled Israel during its War of Independence to return, ensuring it would no longer be both a Jewish and a democratic state. Hamas and its fellow jihadists leave no doubt that the only “solution” that would be acceptable to them is one in which a Jewish state doesn’t exist anywhere in the Middle East. This aligns with Hamas’s founding charter — which references the group’s “struggle against the Jews,” and says that, “In face of the Jews’ usurpation of Palestine, it is compulsory that the banner of jihad be raised” — and its brutal October 7 massacre of 1,200 people in Israel. And although the terror groups say they are open to elections, they have no intention of ceding power to more moderate forces, as Canada and its partners demand. Instead, they call for a “national unity” government and for elections to be held “without any preconditions.” It’s easy for Prime Minister Mark Carney to say that Canada’s recognition is predicated on the PA’s commitment to “fundamentally reform its governance, to hold general elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part and to demilitarize the Palestinian state.” But in reality, the PA holds no power in Gaza, and Hamas has made it clear that it will not step aside or disarm until it has achieved its genocidal goal of wiping Israel off the face of the earth. Carney and other world leaders seem to think they can conjure a Palestinian state out of thin air — that with faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust they can resolve one of the world’s most intractable conflicts. In doing so, they have played right into the hands of Hamas... It’s hard to see how the world will be able to force Hamas’s hand without going into Gaza and forcefully rooting out the terrorists — the very type of operation that Israel is currently conducting."

Jewish visitor to Halifax confronted with 'Heil, heil, heil' at Palestinian rally - "A Montreal lawyer has filed a hate crime complaint after he and his wife, both Jewish, were confronted by a demonstrator at a Palestinian rally calling out “Heil, heil, heil” at them during their visit to Halifax. Dan Goldstein, 51, had travelled from Montreal with his wife, Liat Lev-Ary, to visit Nova Scotia, and on Aug. 6, after touring the Halifax Public Gardens, they went for lunch. They followed their phone’s map to get to a restaurant, Goldstein said. “It took us right through the rally,” he said in an interview. A video taken by Lev-Ary on her phone shows protesters holding signs, waving Palestinian flags, and sidewalk chalk messages calling for immigration officials to bring Palestinian families to Canada because of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Not shy about expressing his opinions either, Goldstein can be heard saying “Remember the Bibas family, don’t forget them with the people of Gaza. And don’t forget the hostages,” as he walked along the sidewalk passing the demonstrators. It set off a loud retort, including chants of “Free, free Palestine.”... A man carrying several Palestinian flags walked up close to the couple. “This one guy comes up to us and he looks at us and he goes: ‘Heil, heil, heil.’ Now that is very clearly — because there’s no reason for a person to start invoking a German word like that — a reference to the National Socialist ideology… It was part and parcel of that movement. It’s said while giving the Nazi salute and it’s an endorsement of Nazi ideology and (Hitler’s) ‘Final Solution’ to exterminate all Jews,” Goldstein said. He then calls both Goldstein and Lev-Ary a “f—king piece of shit.” Although he is a secular Jew, Goldstein said it would be obvious to assume he was Jewish because he had a baseball cap on from a Yiddish theatre festival that included Hebrew lettering. He said he saw two Halifax police officers standing on the other side of the road and he went to them to report a hate crime over the “Heil” statements, but the officers seemed unmoved by his complaint; he said they asked him how that could be a hate crime... The third officer who arrived was belligerent, Goldstein said. “He’s yelling at me. He’s calling me a racist. He’s saying that I’m just doing it because the first officer I spoke to was a person of colour. And he’s not letting me talk, he’s just yelling at me,” Goldstein said."
Clearly a Zionist false flag to make the "pro-Palestinian" crowd look bad. He should be the one prosecuted, for anti-Palestinian racism
No doubt about it - Canada needs to import even more of this kind of people
Freedom of expression is very important - unless you say something transphobic, Islamophobic, anti-indigenous or something else the left disapproves of
If there's one Nazi at a table of ten, then there's ten Nazis at the table - unless the left approves of them, then it's the Jews that are the Nazis

Leslie Roberts: Man in keffiyeh threatens Montreal Jew: 'We will kill you all"
This was just self-defence against "Zionists". If you don't support "genocide", you won't find anything wrong with this

Thread by @HillelNeuer on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "UNRWA is in panic. They're frightened of getting replaced. LTC Nadav Shoshani on X - ".@UNRWA , you claim Israel’s evidence “puts your staff at risk.” What puts them at risk is your involvement in terrorism. We’ve shown footage of UNRWA staff abducting the bodies of a murdered Israeli hostage on October 7. We’ve exposed how UNRWA vehicles were used to kidnap them into Gaza. Nine of your employees were confirmed to have taken part in the massacre. Your schools, equipment, and headquarters have been repeatedly used by Hamas to launch attacks. Allegations aren’t evidence, that’s true. And yet UNRWA presents Hamas’ claims as fact, every single day. We’ve published it all. You can start here: https://idf.il/en/mini-sites/"
