When it comes to protests, the Left knows the state is always on their side - "The contemporary Left has been playing the boy who cried fascist all summer long. Expecting a re-run of last summer’s riots, many have been boasting of their opposition to Britain’s “far-right” by turning up to counter protests outside asylum hotels with banners and tambourines. It’s like Cable Street all over again, apparently. Except this summer hasn’t been a re-run of the thuggery of the Southport riots – and Britain’s streets are not awash with Mosleyites. Things are more complex this year... almost all the protests feature working-class people in working-class areas who want to make it known that they’re not happy. This used to be where the Left targeted – working-class people who got angry enough to turn out on the street. But today’s mantra of no platform, which bans even being on the same street corner as someone you disagree with, allows no space for the practices of the old Left – joining pickets and demos to argue an issue... The problem is, today’s lefties are terrified of the working class, insisting on caricaturing them as creatures from the 1930s. “The far right continue to target people fleeing persecution temporarily housed in hotels”, wrote the Socialist Worker. Such a ridiculous reduction reveals the Left’s desire to live in the fantasy world of the past, where the baddies wear jackboots and the goodies donkey jackets. While many of the protesters simply don’t want migrants living in their hotels or housed in their neighbourhoods, the other message is a feeling of being ignored. The government isn’t interested in talking to the people in the poor parts of town where they usually dump all these asylum seekers and the media is using their Brexit strategy of finding the most toothless, incoherent member of the group to get their soundbite from. As for the Left – at least what’s left of it – it just keeps calling everyone far right. It’s a shame that some extreme groups like Britain First are enjoying a bit of an outing, but not surprising. Demonisation has always been a useful tool for the right to build on. Despite all this, there is an air of triumphalism among these counter protesters. Always somehow adorned with an irritating array of musical instruments, they announce their love for refugees and decry the make-believe Nazis on the other side. But what is perhaps most depressing about the modern Left is its reliance on the state. Rather than try to win an argument, many have called for these asylum protests to be banned and for people to be locked up for joining them. This wet bunch might consider themselves as standing on the shoulders of the giants of Cable Street and similar political battles. But perhaps it might be wise to learn a bit of history before such lofty thinking. As professor Alan Hudson notes in a documentary by the citizen TV channel Worldwrite, activists in the East End stood in opposition to both fascists and the state. Communist groups even stood in solidarity with fascist sympathisers against forced evictions in Whitechapel as way of showing who was in charge of their own neighbourhoods. If there is a common thread between Cable Street and today’s asylum protests, it’s not the Left expressing a desire for power over where they live, but the residents out on their own streets with placards. You don’t need to placate or pander to views you don’t like (my own view on immigration is unwaveringly liberal) to understand that the asylum protests are about a sense of sovereignty and control over one’s own home. If the Left keeps using these people as pawns in their own anti-fascist pantomimes, where else is there to turn but right?"
Apprentice star who was forced to flee her home for 'condemning extremists' tells GB News she 'faced death threats' - "A former contestant on The Apprentice has abandoned her Luton residence after receiving death threats for her public criticism of extremism within British Muslim Pakistani communities. Lubna Zaidi, who identifies as a British Muslim of Pakistani heritage, established a YouTube channel to discuss controversial topics including grooming gangs, honour killings and misogyny within her community. The businesswoman expressed dismay at what she describes as a "silent majority" who appear to support extremists rather than condemn them... "The problem is that the extremists and the loud, radical voices give the impression to outsiders that maybe we are all like this. And if that’s not true, surely people shouldn’t hesitate to condemn the bad apples." She added: "I am considering seeking asylum in America. People there are even reaching out, saying: “Don’t you come here? Great Britain is gone.” "I had to flee my home in Luton, where I lived for 40 years, because of death threats. People knew where I lived, and they warned they would find me anywhere in the UK."
Islamophobia! The APPG will condemn this racism
Police officers given reading and writing classes amid fears over standard of new recruits - "In June 2023, around 50 officers attended a workshop called English for Speakers of Other Languages, The Herald reported. The same class was run in November that year, and four more times last year. This May, a pilot workshop for officers in their probationary period provided guidance on taking statements and clearer speech for everyday English, the force revealed following a freedom of information request."
14-Year-Old Girl From Scotland Charged After Carrying Weapons, Allegedly To Defend Sister From Migrants - "A 14-year-old girl has been charged in Dundee after police responded to reports of a teen carrying a bladed weapon near St Ann’s Lane... One user on the site, @RightAngleNews, wrote that the "14-year-old girl" was "forced to brandish a knife to defend herself and her friend against a migrant who attempted to assault her near St Ann’s Lane in Dundee, Scotland.” The teens are shown in a viral video uploaded to X, with one girl carrying an axe and a knife. Both teens are visibly distressed as grown men stand around them. One of the girls can be heard yelling, “Don’t f*cking touch her, she’s f*cking 12.” Further traction came from @TheGriftReport. The account wrote that the girl had been arrested while trying to defend her sister after the man "FAILED to chat up her 12-year-old sister.” In a follow-up post, the same account said the incident involved an immigrant recording the girls, and that multiple police vehicles responded to Balgay Street car park. Meanwhile, @Basil_TGMD says the incident is “getting worse,” claiming that the teenager had been arrested despite intervening against “a Muslim man trying it on with her.” Claims were also echoed on Facebook. A widely shared post by a user named Abbie Summer read, “My daughter’s friend who is 13 years old just got attacked by these 2 people in Lochee! They were trying to chat up this girl’s 12-year-old wee sister so she told them to leave her alone and these 2 jumped on her! My daughter was with her and called the police. Her friend is 13 years old and in hospital now!” The post attached photographs of a man and a woman and alleged that they “conveniently can’t speak English anymore,” yet had no issue speaking the language when "perving on a 12-year-old girl.""

Iran’s ‘migration jihad' sees thousands of radicals sent to UK on weaponised routes - "Iran is preparing to exploit North African asylum routes to infiltrate the UK with thousands of radicalised operatives posing as asylum seekers, a leading security analyst has warned. According to intelligence shared with European officials, Tehran has forged a strategic partnership with Algeria, using it as both a propaganda base and transit hub for smuggling radicalised operatives into France, the UK, and beyond. At the centre of this campaign is the Polisario Front, a separatist movement operating in Western Sahara. Long supported by Algeria, the group is now being co-opted by Iran and Hezbollah, according to Aurèle Tobelem, Director of Research at the Forum for Foreign Relations. “The group’s ties to Hezbollah and the Islamic regime have been confirmed by intercepted communications and intelligence dossiers,” Tobelem said. “In one such exchange, a Polisario operative praised the October 7 Hamas massacre and called for coordinated attacks on Israel, listing the Western Sahara as a vital participant in the ‘resistance front’.” “What now parades under the banner of Sahrawi self-determination is, in truth, a cartel of conscripts, child soldiers, and jihadist sympathisers propped up by Algeria, funded by stolen aid, and quietly armed by Iran,” he added. But Tehran’s ambitions go far beyond the desert, he warned. “Rather, it is the floodgate that Iran wishes to open in Europe. What we are witnessing is the gradual weaponisation of migration routes, with Algeria emerging as a key artery for the Islamic regime’s organised disarray.” Tobelem said Iran is deliberately using Algeria’s role as a migrant transit hub to infiltrate radical operatives into Europe... “What we're seeing in France, and especially because of such a high influx of migrants from regions tha often have not been successfully de-radicalised, like Algeria, that actually have a very large contingent of people who support Muslim Brotherhood policies, who support Hamas, who support Hezbollah,” said Tobelem. “These individuals have now infiltrated many departments, regions in France. For example, the 92nd or the 93rd Department – these are almost impenetrable by French police because you have Islamist gangs and criminal networks that are essentially running these places. And this is directly playing into, if not even sponsored by, the Islamic regime.” He said that the UK was particularly vulnerable. “A few months ago three Iranian men were arrested on terrorism charges. They had infiltrated the UK as asylum seekers. “It’s very highly likely that Iran is waiting until the right time to essentially do to the UK what they have done to France.” Tobelem added that the threat to Europe from Iran-aligned proxies had evolved into a long-term strategic campaign. Yet, Europe has been slow to respond. “There’s a lot of emphasis on China and Russia and how they’re trying to bring down the West, but very little on Iran and the type of hybrid warfare they’re engaging in on European soil,” he said. “What Iran is doing is building a parallel political ecosystem that has a militarised element to it, within European borders. And this is not simply Hezbollah cells,” he said. “These are people who are aligned with the ideology, people who are aligned with the antisemitism, the anti-Israel propaganda and the anti-Western sentiment that defines the Islamic Republic of Iran’s core values.” He added: “Britain cannot simply keep regurgitating diplomatic niceties and then turn a blind eye to the Polisario actively playing a role in a wider export of the Islamic revolution. This is simply not possible. “The next logical step is clear: proscribe the group in full as a terrorist organisation.”"
Revealed: The European country that has seen a 700% rise in baby boys being named after the founder of Islam - "Parts of Europe have seen a 700% rise in baby boys being named Muhammad or another variation since the Millennium. One in 200 boys born in Austria today will be called either Muhammad, Mohammed, Mohammad, Mohamed and Mohamad, official statistics suggest. For comparison, Daily Mail analysis shows the equivalent rate stood at around one in every 1,670 in 2000. In England and Wales last year, 3% of boys were given the name Muhammad or one of four separate iterations ubiquitous in Islamic culture. Yet in parts of the nation this was as high as 9%, separate figures suggested... Datasets for some, including Germany – which has seen the most Muslim refugees arrive in the last decade - were not publicly accessible in full... Behind England and Wales, the nation with the highest rate was Belgium... given there are thirty-plus ways to spell the name, it's likely the Daily Mail's analysis underrepresents the true figure. Research from the influential Pew Research Centre estimated that Muslims made up 4.9% of Europe's total population in 2017. Yet this would double to 11.2% by 2025 if migration continued at a 'medium' level, its projections showed... Across all 11 countries in our audit, Poland had the fewest number of baby boys called Muhammad or one of the other spellings (0.01%) in 2024. Polish governments have fought bitterly against EU migration plans over the years. Mateusz Morawiecki, who served as Poland's prime minister from 2017 to 2023, said when he left office that he didn't want Polish culture to be 'destroyed by the Muslim migrants coming from the Middle East or from Africa'. An investigation into baby names by the Economist earlier this year found that in the past, migrants often felt pressure to discard names that sounded too foreign, but as Europe becomes more diverse, the range of names has grown broader. Instead of changing names, today many parents proudly select a name that preserves their cultural identity, seeing it as a statement of belonging rather than a barrier to integration. Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) last month revealed that the top boys' name in 2024 was Muhammad, for the second year running."
Ministers refuse to share asylum hotel locations with delivery firms : r/unitedkingdom - "I can't wait for this to be a baffling story we tell our grandkids.
"Yeah, little Jimmy, our government actually housed hundreds of thousands of fake asylum seekers in hotels and made us pay for it and did everything they could to keep it as suspicious as possible""
Migrant crisis: Asylum seeker admits illegal migrants flood to UK to get black market jobs and not pay tax - "The Iraqi man, who arrived in Dunkirk after just seven days, also conceded that the scale of the migrant crisis is making Britons less welcoming to migrants... other wannabe Channel crossers appeared to claim that Britain’s colonial history means that the UK has a responsibility to take in more asylum seekers. "The British came to my country - colonising, killing, raping," a Sri Lankan national said. "And we didn't complain. We let it happen."
Asylum hotel protests are spreading. Who's really behind them? : r/unitedkingdom - "Having had one of these in my local area recently the answer is, it's a mix. There is a strong groundswell of local opinion against these hotels and there are plenty of ordinary people involved in organising and turning up to protest them. There are also local politicians (particularly Reform) trying to make some hay by getting involved. There are also far right organisations who turn up, either because they like feeling like they're on the popular side for once or to start violence. The article says "This is not just concerned local mums" and sure, it's not just them. But it certainly is them as well as lots of other people who are in no way far right. On the other hand there is a very concerted campaign to play these protests off as just racists and just the far right - on the far left as part of their push to invalidate anti-migration arguments and in the centre as a way to allow banning/restricting the protests in the hope troublesome social unrest just disappears. Probably worth saying, I'm fairly liberal, centre left and from an immigrant background. I am actively concerned about the far right and Reform, but pretending this issue hasn't spread beyond the fringe groups to the mainstream is not going to make things any better."
Asylum hotel protests are spreading. Who's really behind them? : r/unitedkingdom - "Just noting that this article claims the protests started 'after an asylum seeker was charged with allegedly attempting to kiss a 14-year-old girl'. That's downplaying what happened. Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu has denied committing three sexual assaults in two days, also charges of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and harassment without violence"

Interviewer: "And you used to work for the Home Office?"
"I did, I used to deal with asylum claims for 17 years. The first thing I learnt doing asylum interview was that you can't apply our Western European standards to what makes an asylum seeker tick... yes, some of them embellish their claims...""
It doesn't matter if asylum seekers lie. Take them all in. Or you're a bad person
Couple who fled war in Ukraine decide to move back rather than live in Nottingham - "A British-Ukrainian couple who fled the war in Ukraine have decided to move back to the country after failing to find acceptable housing in Nottingham. Joe Place, a British 29-year-old PhD student and content writer from Sheffield, and his wife Iryna, a 34-year-old Ukrainian working as a content manager, left their home in Kyiv in February to escape the conflict in the country."
Matt Goodwin on X - "An Afghan illegal migrant who arrived on a small boat tried to defend his rape of a 15-year-old Scottish schoolgirl by citing “cultural differences” and a “language barrier” (Telegraph). When will middle class liberal feminists start talking about this?"
Adam Wren on X - "It’s an extremely common defence, “he’s from a culture where women aren’t allowed out, he’s never interacted with a woman outside his family” I’m not sure why Judges allow this as mitigation, if anything it’s evidence they shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the public"
Zelex on X - "If this is a legitimate argument for the defence in court then it's also a legitimate argument to halt immigration (or at least scrutinise applications) from such countries. This is the only coherent and dignified position."

RealityMatters on X - "Wait until we get the Asylum Tribunal Judge's ruling he can remain in the UK because if we deport him back to whence he came he would be a danger to the women of that region and that would be just so awfully unfair..... that's the level of depraved 'logic' we are dealing with!🤬"
will on X - In Australia, an Afghan claimed that he didn't believe in consent and therefore rape was impossible."
Rights of asylum seekers trump people of Epping, argues Home Office - "Home Office lawyers told the Court of Appeal that Yvette Cooper had a duty as Home Secretary to prevent asylum seekers from being made destitute under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and so they should continue to live at the Bell Hotel. They claimed this responsibility trumped the council’s powers to close the hotel, which has been at the centre of protests in recent weeks after an asylum seeker living there was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old schoolgirl... The local authority disputed the Home Office claims, saying migrant hotels did not have “special dispensation” when it came to planning laws."
Police plead with asylum seekers to ‘respect women’ - "The initiative by Northamptonshire Police followed community and parental complaints over young male asylum seekers loitering near a primary school in the county, including claims of filming. The police presentation, obtained under freedom of information laws, warns migrants against taking photos and videos. Its disclosure comes just days after a 29-year-old Afghan asylum seeker tried to defend his rape of a 15-year-old Scottish schoolgirl by citing cultural differences and a language barrier. Lawyers for Sadeq Nikzad, who entered the UK illegally on a small boat in 2023, told the court that he had not been educated about the significant cultural differences between the UK and Afghanistan. He was jailed for nine years for the sex attack, in Falkirk town centre. Last week The Telegraph revealed that foreign nationals are responsible for more than a quarter of convictions for sex assaults on women."
Damn xenophobia and ethnocentrism!
Police plead with asylum seekers not to ‘harass or abuse’ women : r/unitedkingdom - "From what we've seen lately I feel like the police should also be showing this presentation to their own officers. Also:
Females have the same rights as men, they must be treated with respect and courtesy. If you harass or abuse any female you can be arrested.
They couldn't even make their presentation on how not to be sexist not be sexist... If you're going to use the term "females" (which tends to have a derogatory flavour when used to refer to people) at least use "males" as well. But no, men get to be men, women have to be "females.""
"Really got to the nub of the issue there. You got everyone checking their own language so hard they forget about the rapes."
I like how "female" is dehumanising to the left, but "people with uteruses" or "birthing people" isn't
Police plead with asylum seekers not to ‘harass or abuse’ women : r/unitedkingdom - "There's an area near me where asylum seekers have been housed in an old hotel. The location is near a popular running and walking spot. The local university and women's pages have warned women of attacks and sexual harassment, and there is no talk of who is behind the recent increase in harassment or attacks (and don't you dare point it out!), but instead why all men should be banned from the area at night."
Police plead with asylum seekers not to ‘harass or abuse’ women : r/unitedkingdom - "No worries, we just need to pay expensive consultants to write a report that ultimates concludes that this is the result of institutional racism."
Why are Labour cutting OAPs’ heat payments & benefits while pumping £7BILLION to migrants? Starmer’s mugging you off - "WHAT does it mean to be British? I’d suggest one thing matters more than anything else – our strong sense of fair play. While we Brits have always been welcoming of others, we also expect people to play by the rules, contribute to the collective pot and treat the rest of us with the same sense of fairness that we treat them. But this is no longer being upheld in modern Britain — far from it. Instead, when millions of hard-working, tax-paying, law-abiding Brits look at what is happening to their country, they feel something very different — they feel they are being taken for a ride... While the Labour Government has just announced it is slashing welfare benefits for millions, having already axed the Winter Fuel Payment for British pensioners and imposed hefty tax hikes on our farmers, those same politicians are willingly throwing billions of pounds of taxpayers’ money at the rapidly rising number of illegal migrants, asylum- seekers and foreign nationals in this country, including some who have no interests in working legitimately or abiding by our laws... Households in Britain that contain at least one foreign national who is claiming benefits received more than £7.5BILLION in Universal Credit in just one year alone. That’s enough for 25million Winter Fuel Payments for British pensioners. Today, in Britain, more than one million foreigners are claiming working-age benefits. Remarkably, some 40 nationalities in Britain — though especially people from Congo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Algeria, Eritrea, and Syria — are claiming benefits at a greater rate than British citizens: sometimes four times the rate... you can see this shocking sense of unfairness in many other areas of our national life, too. Like social housing, where again Brits seem to be at the back of the queue. This injustice is now so entrenched that, in some areas of Britain, as I recently pointed out, more than 65 per cent of social housing has gone to people who were not born in the country, often in areas where hard-working British professionals and youngsters would chop their right arm off to live. Furthermore, many of the people who have been parachuted in to the front of the housing queue do not work, do not identify with Britain or England and do not speak our language... nearly one million people on these islands do not speak English well or at all. How is it fair that British people are being forced to subsidise people who cannot even be bothered to learn our language? Or look at crime. The idea that “diversity is our strength” was recently blown apart by the shocking discovery, for the very first time, that foreign nationals are also significantly more likely to be arrested and convicted of multiple crimes, though especially rape and sexual assault. Again, how is it fair that the British people are being asked to subsidise people who are not only extracting billions from our economy, but are also more likely to commit crime? Again, how is it fair that the British people are being asked to subsidise people who are not only extracting billions from our economy, but are also more likely to commit crime? And you know what? These are not just statistics. What they reflect are political decisions that are being taken by the people we elect to work on our behalf. The British people want politicians to uphold the sense of fair play that has long defined this country. But as all these numbers show, our out-of-touch political class has instead decided to make life as easy as possible for foreign nationals, including those who break our laws and make no contribution, while making life as hard as possible for our elderly, poor and disabled. Instead of being treated fairly, many people out there feel they are no longer being prioritised in their own country. Instead of being treated with respect, they feel — understandably — they are now being mugged off by a political class that is more interested in helping migrants than their own people. Treating your own people this way is the very opposite of what it means to be British."
Weird. We're told that migrants are more hardworking and take jobs locals refuse to, so all migrants need to be welcomed
