Links - 18th December 2025 (1 - Trans Mania)

Police under fire over rainbow umbrella row - "Scotland’s police chief is under fire for pursuing a gender-critical activist over a drag artist’s broken umbrella while complaining about a lack of manpower.  Jo Farrell, Police Scotland’s chief constable, is appearing before Holyrood’s justice committee next week to discuss that the force receives an extra £145 million next year... Susan Smith was told by the Scottish Parliament Policing Unit to accept a recorded warning or else face criminal charges for “minor vandalism”, according to the Free Speech Union (FSU)."

Trans woman accused Rachel Reeves of ‘assault’ while harassing MP sister - "A transgender woman accused Rachel Reeves of assaulting her in a series of threatening emails to the Chancellor’s MP sister.  Tracey Smith made the accusation in a tirade of emails and voicemails sent to Ellie Reeves, Rachel Reeves’s younger sister and MP for Lewisham West and East Dulwich.  In one of her emails, Smith said Ms Reeves’ sister Rachel “looked like the woman who attacked me at a buffet bar”, a court heard.  Smith denied harassing the MP but was found guilty on Monday.  The 58-year-old sent a “barrage” of 22 emails and 10 voicemails accusing Ellie Reeves of being “transphobic” and “fascist”."
"Minorities" are not capable of harassment

J.K. Rowling on X - "Words are not violence. When you pretend that views that oppose your own are violence, you are justifying the use of actual violence towards the speaker.  Gender ideology’s reliance on tropes and slogans like ‘words are violence’, its constant rationalisation and justification of using force against opponents and its preference for enforcing compliance through fear rather than permitting debate, are straight out of fascism’s playbook.   ‘The function of propaganda is . . . not to weigh and ponder the rights of different people, but exclusively to emphasize the one right which it has set out to argue for. Its task is not to make an objective study of the truth, in so far as it favors the enemy, and then set it before the masses with academic fairness; its task is to serve our own right, always and unflinchingly.’  The words are Hitler’s, but I must have seen trans activists say the same thing, barely rephrased, a thousand times. Your movement seeks to remove rights from others. It is anti-truth and critical thinking, pro-violence, pro-dehumanisation of those who disagree with you, and you are so lacking in self-awareness you cannot see that you are precisely what you pretend to hate."

Activists Strip in Public to Protest Transgender Athletes in Women's Sports - "If Nick Blanchard was looking to attract attention, he got it.  Three activists stripped to their underwear during an Augusta, Maine school board meeting last week to protest a policy allowing transgender girls to compete in women’s sports, drawing more national attention to the hot-button topic.  The demonstration was organized by Blanchard, a local activist who goes by the nickname “Corn Pop.” Two women and one man took part, slowly removing their clothing at the close of the Augusta School Department meeting as Blanchard delivered an impassioned monologue.  “I’m about to show you guys how uncomfortable it is for girls,” Blanchard said, according to video that has gone viral from the board meeting.  “You feel uncomfortable? Because that’s what these young girls feel like when a boy walks into their locker room and starts undressing in front of them. That’s what these young girls feel like every time a young boy changes in front of them.”... The Augusta school board voted in favor of its current policy, which follows the Maine Human Rights Act, allowing student-athletes to participate on teams that correspond with their gender identity... Similar demonstrations have occurred elsewhere. In California, Beth Bourne, chair of Moms for Liberty in Yolo County, stripped down to a bikini at a Davis Joint Unified School Board meeting on Sept. 18 to protest district policies allowing transgender students access to girls’ locker rooms.  “If the adults don’t feel comfortable watching someone, and I’m a 50-year-old woman, how can they expect girls to feel comfortable doing that in the locker room?” Bourne said.m"

Ari Drennen on X - "They kicked Lia Smith off the Middlebury College Swimming and Diving team for being trans and now, as the 2026 season kicks off, she's dead. Rest in power, Lia. The world is so cruel sometimes."
Kim Shasby Jones on X - "This post from @AriDrennen  infuriates me. For so many reasons. First, any taking of life is tragic. This is a sad ending for Lia Smith.  It is grotesque and depraved of Drennan to use this tragedy to emotionally blackmail women and the public into holding women responsible for a man’s suicide bc they didn’t want to undress with him or let him compete in women’s sports.  Women are NOT responsible for the mental health of men and certainly not required to give up their rights and bodies for a man’s emotional well-being. The age-old threat used against women trying to stop abuse, “if you leave, I’ll kill myself”, is exactly what Mr Drennan’s message is.  Emotional blackmail is NEVER acceptable, not in elite sport, not in “just D3” sport, not in elementary school. Not in locker rooms at the Y.  To tell a young man that he can be accepted as a woman, that he should get to compete against women, that he should be allowed into womens spaces, that he can become a woman - this is setting him up to fail. It is NOT a failure of women to accommodate his desires, it’s a failure of medicine, leadership, and culture for not holding firm the boundaries of reality and helping him figure out how to navigate them.   Women are not tools of affirmation for the emotional support of men."

Theo Wold on X - "In case you missed it, something truly extraordinary just happened that exemplifies just how much the left has lost on the transgender issue:  In 2020, Idaho became the first state in America to pass a law banning men from playing women's sports.   For the last five years, our state has been unable to enforce that law because the ACLU immediately took us to court on behalf of a man trying to join the Boise State cross country team.  Back in July, the Supreme Court agreed to take up the case-- and will soon make a ruling for the whole nation on whether common sense is constitutional.  But, remarkably, the ACLU recently tried to dismiss their own lawsuit, claiming it was moot because the plaintiff no longer plays sports. The judge rejected it.  For five years, the ACLU has been preventing us from implementing the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act and they've been filing lawsuits all over the country against similar laws.   And now they're trying to get their own cases dismissed-- because they know they've completely lost the plot on this issue."

Nick Minock on X - "New: Virginia teens are greeting Loudoun County voters at the polls and asking them to vote for school board candidates who would restore girl only and boy only bathrooms and locker rooms in Loudoun County Public Schools. Story:"
Douglass Mackey on X - "Nothing could be more illustrative than this video: High school kids with skin in the game are begging voters to kick “trans kids” out of the bathrooms. A silver-haired boomerlib is protesting on the other side saying “over my dead body.”"

It's now a crime in Switzerland to say skeletons can't be trans - "In December, Emanuel Brünisholz will begin a 10-day stint in a Swiss prison. His crime? Stating the scientific truth that skeletons cannot be transgender...   The censorship of gender-critical speech and the accompanying assault on truth is bad enough. But the logical and linguistic contortions in the original judgement make matters even worse. In one passage, the judge wrote:  ‘LGBTQI means lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, queer and intersex, and denotes therefore different sexual orientations. It’s a loose group of people who consider themselves a part of the aforementioned sexual orientations. Therefore, LGBTQI is a group of people with specific sexual orientations.’...   The judge went on to state that Brünisholz ‘therefore maintains that sexual orientation according to LGBTQI does not exist, but is a mental illness. He therefore denies the people who belong to this group their human right to existence.’ This is simply not true. Brünisholz denied no one’s existence. He ridiculed the notion that men can become women and women can become men, and pointed out the male and female skeletons are distinct. That is all. He was criticising the idea of gender identity, not attacking homosexuality or bisexuality...   The judge’s incoherent reasoning is telling. Swiss hate-speech law covers sexual orientation, but not gender identity. Brünisholz criticised gender identity. To convict him, the judge had to twist words like ‘transgender’ and ‘queer’ until ‘man’ and ‘woman’ themselves became sexual orientations.    Then comes the most ominous part of the judgment. Brünisholz is told that his punishment is ‘a lesson, to bring home to him the seriousness of the matter’. This shows that the point of the sentence is not merely to punish Brünisholz, but also to frighten others into silence. It is to make an example of him. That is the true purpose of the case: to send a message to all of Switzerland that criticism of gender ideology will not be tolerated. Perhaps that’s not surprising in a country where you can change your ‘gender identity’ for 75 Swiss Francs at the local registry office.  And so a man goes to jail for telling the truth. The law, which is meant to protect freedom, has been used here to undermine freedom"

Prisha Mosley🦎 on X - "Getting bloodwork again. It’s always so much. Checking my metabolic panel, testosterone, progesterone, prolactin, insulin, cholesterol, and more. All messed up by being prescribed testosterone as a female."

Sylvester Stallone's wife's controversial theory to why a number of Hollywood children are trans - ""I just think Hollywood is, you know, it’s all about expression. So, you know, however you want to express yourself. If you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s so loosey-goosey. "I don’t think that we’re really understanding that these kids are not our accessories. They’re little human beings that need structure. And structure is really important for them because it helps their brain organize everything."  Stallone added: "I think growing up in a Hollywood home, there’s really no structure because you have this thing going, and you’ve got private planes. And you’ve got all these giant homes with chefs and secretaries and assistants and, you know, housekeepers and nannies.  "And there’s just too much of everything. It gets really confusing for a little person.  "And it’s OK what you decide to be as an adult. But raise them just with good common sense. I mean, my daughters were tomboys. They preferred to wear pants than dresses, you know. And they loved sports. But I never said, 'Oh, you’re a boy now.' I just said, ‘You love to play sports, you love to hang out with boys, that’s awesome.’""

Colin Wright on X - "🚨NEW: A peer-reviewed paper claims that "anti-drag sentiment has negatively impacted [K-12] school environments," but has "provided an opportunity to celebrate how drag pedagogy can transform school environments' relationship to sexuality and gender expression."   The authors propose using a "drag-focused framework for educator preparation and school leadership programs" with the goal of "centralizing drag in the preparation of aspiring teachers, counselors, and school leaders."  Or, you know, teachers could just teach them how to read, write, and do math. 🤷‍♂️"
Colin Wright on X - "They want to expose kindergartners to drag shows. Just in case that didn’t quite sink in: they’re arguing that adult men dressed in women’s clothing should be invited into your 5-year-old’s classroom to perform sexually suggestive dance routines in front of them."

Kate Barker-Mawjee on X - "Keira’s laugh says it all. Trans extremism has peaked and no one is afraid of it any more."
Outspoken Women on X - "Kate's right, Keira laughs and looks away and then says, basically, that people are just going to have to get over themselves. Think it's the first time I've seen a celebrity deal with this kind of disingenuous question so cleanly. Well done."

After Uxbridge, how can anyone call the migrant crisis a ‘myth’? - "Glamour, the women’s magazine, has named its “Women of the Year” – and no fewer than nine of them happen to be trans women. Who are, by definition, male.  Quite a few critics, among them JK Rowling, have responded by arguing that the winners of this particular accolade should strictly speaking be female. I tend to agree. But I would also make one other small point.  Normally, women’s magazines make a big song and dance about keeping up with all the latest fashionable trends. Which is what makes Glamour’s decision so puzzling. Because, while this type of virtue-signalling stunt was terribly fashionable about five years ago, it’s extremely old hat now.  Come on, darlings. “Trans women are women” is very much last season’s must-have opinion. Everyone’s long since moved on."

Virtue-signalling officers at Cambridge University have betrayed female students - "“Why Newnham?” asks the brochure for Newnham College, Cambridge. Because it is “a college for women, led by women”. A place “where you’ll have the pastoral and academic support to live life to your full potential”. A place “that supports women 100 per cent”.  I can still remember the way those words made me feel when I decided to apply to the University’s oldest women-only college, 30 years ago – a college co-founded by none other than the suffragist campaigner Dame Millicent Garrett Fawcett. Because, in all that time, the phrasing has barely changed.  But today the words are hollow and meaningless – as ironic-sounding as the AI Overview still blithely trotted out when you Google the institution: “Newnham College is a women-only college, which is its defining characteristic.”  In reality, my alma mater made the curious decision to ditch its defining characteristic – its key feature, primary trait, essential element and unique selling point – back in 2017, when it started accepting biological males who “self-identify” as female. Now, in defiance of April’s Supreme Court ruling, Newnham has crafted a new gender policy which will continue to allow “female-identifying individuals” born as male to apply and enshrines their ability to access the single-sex spaces I once enjoyed. (Although how much anyone can ever enjoy student communal showers is, admittedly, debatable.)"
Since male-only spaces aren't allowed, this is a kind of equality

Genevieve Gluck on X - "Angel City FC star Elizabeth Eddy wrote an article calling for rules about sex eligibility in professional football. She doesn't want to play against men. So the team captains issued a public statement calling her a racist and saying they are "disgusted" with her"

Dispute between rival trans groups leads to shocking mass suicide attempt - "A financial dispute between rival trans groups in the Indian city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, led 24 trans individuals to engage in a shocking mass suicide attempt. Everyone was taken to a nearby hospital and survived...   The day after the collective suicide attempt, the leader of the rival group, Sapna Haji, also known as Sapna Guru, was arrested for assault and extortion. Police are also investigating three of her associates, according to The Hindu. One of the associates, Pankaj Jain, has also been accused of posing as a journalist to threaten and rape a trans woman from the rival group...   One of the victims, Neha Kunwar, even attempted a second suicide while at the hospital, but authorities were able to stop her. Kunwar spoke to the press after her second attempt and said Haji had been forcing trans community members into “bonded labor” for 16 years by forcing them to beg for money.  “If the police and administration do not support us, the 300 transgender people in our camp will be forced to commit suicide by pouring petrol on themselves,” Kunwar said.   The dispute between the two groups is nothing new, and they reportedly often make serious allegations against each other regarding finances, leadership, and control."
This is due to transphobia! We need free drugs and surgeries for minors to stop this!

Mario Zelaya on X - "What Toronto residents DO NOT get for free:
-Autistic care for children
-Physiotherapy
-Prescription drugs
Care that Toronto employees DO get for free:
-sex changes
Toronto is lost."

Meme - Prisha Mosley @detransaqua: "*12 test tubes of blood* I have to do this at least once a month because I was prescribed testosterone as a teenager and now my endocrine system is broken."

Meme - Sall Grover @salltweets: "I would argue that wanting woman to be accurately defined in law as a sex class that men cannot identify into is not an anti-woman agenda."
The Saturday Paper @SatPaper: "Since marking her two years as Australia's sex discrimination commissioner with a talk about gender inequality, Anna Cody has faced a surge in online criticism and threats that she says "weaponises" an anti-women agenda."
Weird. We keep being told that sex and gender are different, and that only ignorant people don't know that

Jennifer Sey on X - "Man who claims to be a woman is being treated for cancer. During surgery he uses his phone to record the hospital staff. They change sex marker on his records to male. He sues the hospital for discrimination. @nytimes write a sympathetic piece about the poor "misgendered" man suggesting hospital workers were bigoted when they saw a penis and changed hospital records to male."
Clearly, worse health outcomes for trans patients resulting from inaccurate sex documentation are the fault of transphobia

Glenna Goldis on X - "Today's NYT story on the trans surgery patient obfuscates something. He's not just saying his sex is female. He's claiming his "sex assigned at birth" is female. Not because anyone literally called him a girl when he was a baby, but because he got his birth certificate changed to say he's female.  This is beyond the usual sophistry about what "sex" is. It's forthrightly demanding that the hospital and the judge pretend something happened that did not happen.  @JoeKGoldstein  @nytimes   From the lawsuit:"
Wesley Yang on X - "People will coolly, suavely, sagely assure you that everyone knows that sex and gender are different and that everyone knows that the latter can change while the former can't. Then a man will file suit against the hospital that saved his life from metastatic rectal cancer for listing his birth sex as "male.""

Wesley Yang on X - "If the Democrats don't change their position on gender (which is that forbidding girls to draw a boundary between themselves and any boy who says he is a girl is the Civil Rights Movement of the 21st Century) and only try to change their messaging to get around the fact that their position is unpopular today while seeking to win the power to keep brainwashing little girls from the earliest age that they must accept boys who say they are girls as real girls or be ostracized and punished by the state, they end up sounding like Abigail Spanberger does in this clip -- like a wheedling, evasive, dishonest, inhuman, bureaucratic non-entity."

Jackson Thompson on X - "An eighth girls' volleyball team in California has forfeited to a team with a trans athlete. This latest forfeit comes from a school in the same district as the one with the trans player."
Wesley Yang on X - "The Democratic party decreed that transgender inclusion was to be the Civil Rights Movement of the 21st century.   This means that anyone who stood in the way of the movement would be the Bull Connor of our time.    Will they send in the 101st Airborne to force the girls of California to play against the James Meredith of the 21st century?  The success of the movement depended on being able to bully and coerce the girls into playing along.   They successfully did it to the NCAA female swimmers who had to swim against and change alongside William Thomas, a 6'4" man. They told them to go into counseling to deal with their transphobia. They threatened their futures if they spoke publicly about their discomfort while changing next to a fully intact man in the changing room.    Will they succeed in bullying and coercing the female high school athletes of California back into line?  Or will these girls bring the civil rights movement of the 21st century to a halt?"

Colin Wright on X - "🚨You won't believe this one. A new a peer-reviewed paper in a journal from publishing giant Taylor & Francis is titled "What Puppygirls Know? The (in)Human Pedagogy of a Trans Feminine Style."  The author describes "puppygirls" as "trans lesbians that are also dogs. Not literally, of course – but also not entirely figuratively."  The paper argues that centering humans in transgender identities is "ciscentric." As the author puts it:  "I argue for the possibility of reading the puppygirl style as a critical practice: one that hints at ways of being trans that do not rely on the ciscentric understanding of 'the human' as their point of reference."  In other words, the paper suggests expanding the idea of "trans" beyond crossing sex boundaries to include crossing species boundaries. You aren't only the sex you weren't "assigned at birth"—you might also be the species you weren't assigned.
It gets darker:  "A puppygirl may not even know she is a puppy, and needs to have this status imposed through loving, but forceful means."  "A puppygirl is a good girl. She does not necessarily have a say in whether she is good… the reward for this loss of self-determination is the unconditional, effusive affirmation of her desire."  The paper is by Jay Szpilka, a lesbian trans woman (i.e., a straight man) who also identifies as a puppygirl."
Wilfred Reilly on X - "This is a peer-reviewed paper in Australia's - by far - leading feminist journal. When people say "All the experts say human sex is impossible to classify," it is important to remember that these authors are "the experts.""

Thread by @wesyang on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "A decade ago, corporate America imposed a capital strike on North Carolina because its state legislature passed a law separating bathrooms by sex that cost the state $3 billion in lost business. The NBA pulled the All-Star Game from Charlotte. The NCAA pulled multiple championships from the state.  It seemed that progressives had perfected a new form of private-public governance exercising a veto on any law thwarting the consensus of corporate elites who had outsourced their moral and political judgment to an activist elite.  This consensus decreed that the law would dictate that no woman could draw a boundary between herself and any man who said that he was a woman, a cause that the Democratic Party had decided would be the Civil Rights Movement of the 21st Century. The Biden Administration would go on to issue Title IX regulations imposing this mandate on every school in America. (The rule change was declared in violation of Title IX and the US Constitution by a federal district judge and vacated.) Every Democratic House member voted in unison twice to impose this mandate on every public accommodation in America. Leaders of the Democratic party in the Senate recently announced their intention to introduced that mandate in the fall.  Since that capital strike, hundreds of laws restricting transgender inclusion have been passed by dozens of legislatures without any protest from corporate America. The new model of tyrannical governance by corporate and activist elites has been held at bay by democracy -- at least for now.
It feels today like something of a hallucination that a decade ago the NCAA pulled multiple championships from North Carolina because it passed a law saying there should be a girls room.  Everyone allowed themselves to be parasitized and turned into puppets. Corporate boards of directors, CEO, CFO's, that all marched in unison to utter lunacy and no one in the media questioned that they were of course enacting the consensus view of all right thinking people. A decade later we are here, and still only a few Democrat politicians are able to make statements backing away from the preferences falsification in which the whole party remains ensnared"
