Links - 15th December 2025 (2 - UK Grooming Gangs [including Sadiq Khan Coverup])

Sadiq Khan humiliated as Met Police makes huge grooming gangs U-turn - "The Metropolitan Police has made a stunning U-turn by admitting for the first time it has a “very significant number” of grooming gang investigations after being presented with the findings of an Express and MyLondon investigation.  Campaigners told the Express they were relieved to hear the Met “acknowledge what so many of us have been saying for years” and claimed it showed the force had realised there was “no point lying anymore”.  Speaking to the London Assembly on Thursday, Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley reversed years of denials by stating the force had a “steady flow” of live multi-offender child sexual exploitation probes in addition to a substantial volume of historic cases.  Just 24 hours earlier, we’d pressed the Met on how many cases were being reinvestigated as a result of the Home Office’s grooming gangs review. And, after refusing to answer our question, Rowley told the regional assembly that they had so many cases to re-examine that the costs would be “many” millions... Until now, the Metropolitan Police has denied that the capital has a problem with grooming gangs.  As recently as February, Rowley told Lord Bailey of Paddington “I cannot guarantee there is something out there that we have not seen” in response to the former mayoral candidate asking if London has “a significant problem around child sexual exploitation gangs”.    That position changed after the force was presented with findings of an Express and MyLondon investigation that showed Sadiq Khan had read and responded to Met Police inspection reports with victim case studies that experts ruled had “typical” and “textbook” grooming gang patterns.  One of those who examined our evidence was Rochdale whistleblower detective Maggie Oliver, who said the findings had prompted “a spark of honesty”. “After decades of denying the existence of the ‘grooming gang’ type of child abuse in London this expose by the Express is finally forcing at least a spark of honesty from those who would prefer to cover it up,” she said.   “This 180-degree ‘turn around’ replicates what I have seen in my 13 years of exposing similar failures and cover ups in Rochdale, Manchester, Barrow and many other areas throughout the country.   “It is just the latest example of how facing personal threats yet still speaking out and focusing on those complicit on this corruption and cover ups in high places is gradually breaking down the walls of our public institutions... The Mayor of London has yet to comment on the Met’s U-turn. Speaking about the Home Office’s grooming gangs review in June he said there was “no indication” that any of the cases were in the capital."

Pressure mounts on Sadiq Khan as 'girls as young as 9 forced into prostitution' - "Children as young as 9 are being repeatedly raped and abused as they are trafficked into London, it has been claimed... The Mayor of London reportedly read reports of young girls being raped in hotels by groups of men while publicly denying there were any grooming gangs in the capital. The children were also plied with drugs and had their lives threatened, evidence uncovered by the Express and MyLondon shows. Pressure is mounting on Sadiq Khan after stating publicly that there are“no reports” of grooming gangs in the capital. Although Khan states there is no indication that grooming gangs are operating in London, a 14-year-old and lies unconscious inside a London phone box after being targeted by a group of Bangladeshi men.  The Sun reports the case of one girl named Amy, who was repeatedly raped, abused and given drugs before being traded across the capital and Hertfordshire.  She is just one of countless young girls now-retired Met detective Jon Wedge has sought to find justice for – both during his time on the force and after.  He’s seen victims as young as nine among kids trafficked for prostitution on an industrial scale in London – including being taken to high-end Mayfair restaurants and saunas. “It’s not my job to tell the mayor what to do – but it was my responsibility to report to my superiors at the Met, and they failed these children again and again,” he told The Sun.  Detective Wedge left the force in 2017 after turning whistleblower, claiming he was threatened with losing his own children, but feels the Met’s U-turn has come too little too late.  “Where was the outcry and the support when I was saying all this stuff a decade ago?” he asked.  Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp MP, accused Khan of being part of a “cover-up” and called for accountability. He said: “It is shameful that the Mayor of London is claiming to have no indication that grooming gangs are operating in London despite personally responding to reports containing evidence of victims abused by grooming gangs in the city. It is clear Sadiq Khan is facilitating a cover up.” The Metropolitan Police are reassessing 9,000 grooming gang cases in a new investigation, contradicting earlier claims by the London Mayor that no such incidents existed."

Mayor Sadiq Khan accused of dismissing London grooming gangs as thousands of cases set to be reopened - "Mr Wedger, a former vice squad detective, said: “There are hotspots all over the place. They are literally everywhere,....We came across a girl who’d been on the street since she was 14. She’s a kid … it was a busy street, drivers come along and then go round the corner to have sex with the kids.”  He added that the problem predates Sir Sadiq’s time leading City Hall.  He claims that in 2006 he was told to stop investigating cases involving 50 children who had been groomed and sexually abused in the city, despite the force having evidence about the perpetrators."

British Intel on X - "🚨🇬🇧 SADIQ KHAN UNDER PRESSURE TO RESIGN OVER LONDON GROOMING GANG COVER-UP A police whistleblower has exposed the industrial-scale child exploitation operating in London for two decades - ignored by City Hall.
🔴 Khan has dodged questions on grooming gangs 9 times this year
🔴 Former Met detective says evidence was covered up
🔴 Children as young as 9 trafficked, sold in crack houses and Mayfair restaurants
Khan’s refusal to even acknowledge the problem has left London’s most vulnerable children abandoned."

Starmer undermines Khan with call for London grooming gangs inquiry - "Sir Sadiq has been accused of repeatedly refusing to acknowledge the existence of grooming gang cases in London, which he has argued are “different” to crimes committed in cities in northern England... the issue of whether grooming gangs have operated in London has been a long-running issue for Sir Sadiq.  At a mayor’s question time at City Hall in January, he was asked nine times by Susan Hall, a Conservative member of the London Assembly, whether there were grooming gangs active, or previously operating, in London.  Sir Sadiq repeatedly asked Ms Hall to clarify what she meant by grooming gangs, saying: “I’m not clear what she means.”  He then said the “situation in London in relation to young people being groomed is different to other parts of the country” and that London children had been exploited for use in county lines drug operations, not for sex.   In June, he said there were “no reported cases” and “no indication” of grooming gangs in London, but called for the Met to co-operate with the grooming gangs inquiry.  However, in October, the Metropolitan Police announced a review into 9,000 cases of child sexual exploitation over 15 years.  On Wednesday, a £2.4m package of support for victims and survivors of child sexual exploitation in London was also announced... Chris Wild, a care sector activist and abuse survivor, welcomed Sir Keir’s comments and claimed grooming gangs were rife in London.   He worked in the care sector in the capital for 10 years, and has since become a public campaigner for reforms aimed at protecting children in the care system.  Mr Wild said: “Every home I went into, a child would go missing, a child would disappear, a child would come back with a disclosure of abuse. Everyone I worked with has stories of grooming gangs working in London.  “Sadiq Khan is being quite arrogant and ignorant about it. I don’t know if he means to be. But people just don’t trust the government any more to keep them safe.  “For many years, they have just turned a blind eye and there are thousands of victims out there who deserve justice. I don’t think they’re going to get it. It’s too little too late.” He added that the county lines gangs referred to by the Mayor sexually abused children in the same way as grooming gangs in northern towns."

Fiona goddard on X - "Jess phillips should resign Today she publicly called me a liar to the whole nation when she knew i wasnt lying. Im a grooming gang survivor who has been called a liar her whole life by public services and councils to try and cover up the horrendous abuse they let happen to me as a child. She has now just done the same as they did to me for years, all to save her own skin.  How can she continue to be safeguarding minister for women and children?"
Of course, there were people in the replies scolding her. Victims are only important when they push the left wing agenda

Basil the Great on X - "🚨GROOMING GANG SURVIVOR TELLS ALL ABOUT KEIR STARMER'S NATIONAL INQUIRY COVERUP
- Couldn't talk about Muslim Men
- Couldn't talk about ethnicity
“These Muslim's who were abusing us were racist toward us.”
"EVERYONE ON THE PANEL IS BIASED""

Labour is shamefully betraying the victims of the grooming gangs - "  In January last year, when her party was still in Opposition, Labour’s Jess Phillips offered voters some helpful advice. “Next time any government minister tells you that violence against women and girls is a priority for them, don’t believe them. It isn’t. They literally don’t give a toss,” she tweeted.  I’m sure the nation was grateful for the heads-up. I have just one question: would these same words of wisdom explain why our current Labour Government is taking such a mysteriously long time to set up a national inquiry into Pakistani grooming gangs?... there’s still no timetable for the inquiry’s launch. It still has no chair (with two candidates pulling out this week). It has an adviser who previously argued that it was “destructive, distracting and irresponsible” to say that child sexual abuse was “committed overwhelmingly by gangs of brown men against young white girls”.  And now four women have quit the inquiry’s victims and survivors liaison panel, because they fear that the inquiry will be deliberately watered down so that it’s not focused solely on grooming gangs.  To cap it all, one of those four women, Fiona Goddard, has since called for the resignation of the minister for safeguarding and violence against women and girls. And who might that be? None other than Jess Phillips.  Here’s why. During a disturbingly ragged performance in the Commons on Tuesday afternoon, Mrs Phillips ranted that “allegations of intentional delay, lack of interest and a widening or dilution of the inquiry’s scope” were “misinformation”. Ms Goddard was appalled. “Today [Mrs Phillips] called me a liar to the whole nation when she knew I wasn’t lying,” she tweeted on Tuesday night. “I’m a grooming-gang survivor who has been called a liar her whole life by public services and councils to try and cover up the horrendous abuse they let happen to me as a child. She has now just done the same as they did to me for years, all to save her own skin.”  Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: the entire process is in utter turmoil. The inquiry is falling apart before it’s even begun... After the Labour peer Lord Glasman flew out to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, he sent a memo to Morgan McSweeney, Sir Keir’s chief of staff, describing his experiences in the US.   “The brutal truth is that the vast majority of people I met,” he wrote, “consider our Labour Government to be a front organisation for paedophiles and Pakistani rape gangs.” How wonderful to see our nation standing tall on the world stage once again.  Matters were hardly helped in May when Lucy Powell, at the time a Cabinet minister, dismissed the scandal as a “dog whistle” issue. She subsequently apologised. But any feelings of shame she may have experienced did not deter her from entering the race to become Labour’s new deputy leader. According to bookmakers, she’s odds-on to win. Which suggests that her comments haven’t exactly put Labour Party members off her."
Of course, Lucy Powell won

Connie Shaw on X - "Rape gang survivor Fiona Goddard just told GB News that Jess Phillips "knows I get death threats and abuse from the Pakistani community quite a lot... I get accused of being paid by Israel""

The Jackal… on X - "I truly believe the @UKLabour connection to the Pakistani Muslim raping gangs will make the Epstein files look like an episode of Peppa Pig. They are terrified of the truth coming out."

Teenage rape victim told 'that is what white girls were for', jury hears : r/gbnews - "Sounds like it should be upgraded to a hate crime as well as a sexual assault."
"You can’t commit hate crime if you’re a minority. Don’t you know this country has two tier laws now?"

Teenage rape victim told 'that is what white girls were for', jury hears : r/gbnews - "You can’t commit hate crime if you’re a minority. Don’t you know this country has two tier laws now? Grooming gang inquiry branded toxic by man who was set to lead it - "Jim Gamble, a former police chief and international campaigner against child sexual abuse, withdrew as a candidate to chair the inquiry after victims said they had lost confidence in the process. It followed the withdrawal of a second leading candidate, Annie Hudson, a social worker, on Tuesday.  In a letter to Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary, Mr Gamble criticised the “highly charged and toxic environment” surrounding the appointment process and said it had been “defined more by the vested interests of some, as well as political opportunism and point-scoring” than by political consensus.  His withdrawal came after grooming gang survivors, who quit as government advisers this week, said it was inappropriate for the inquiry to be led by establishment insiders from professions involved in covering up abuse scandals. On Wednesday night, the survivors demanded to be “genuinely consulted” on the appointment of the chairman, whom, they said, must be a “senior sitting or former judge, with no major conflicts of interest in policing or social services”.  In a joint statement to Ms Mahmood, they also piled further pressure on the Government by demanding the resignation of Jess Phillips as safeguarding minister as a condition of their return. The four – Fiona Goddard, Ellie-Ann Reynolds, Elizabeth Harper and “Jessica” – said their “legitimate concerns” about the direction of the inquiry had been branded “untrue” by Ms Phillips, even though they had since been shown to be true. “It is a betrayal that has destroyed what little trust remained,” the four said.  The withdrawal of Mr Gamble leaves the Home Office with a big headache as he and Ms Hudson were the only two candidates slated for interviews with survivors this week... “In the midst of lots of misinformation, I think many of the victims and survivors were being disrespected and misinformed, and [I] have a genuine feeling that some of that was about people using and abusing their position and influence with them,” he said."

The Government is trying to hide the true nature of the grooming gang scandal - "Fiona Goddard, a survivor of a Bradford grooming gang who has waived her anonymity and who led the group of five, has called for Jess Phillips, the safeguarding minister in charge of the inquiry, to resign.  In her resignation letter, Ms Goddard criticised the inquiry’s “toxic, fearful environment”, the “condescending and controlling language” used toward survivors and concerns about its lack of distance to the Labour government. But most damning was an apparent push to expand the scope of the inquiry.  Ms Goddard is concerned that the inquiry would thereby be “watered down” and thus ignore the sensitive but crucial issue of the racially and religiously aggravated pattern of offending. Her victims’ panel, she revealed this week, had already been asked whether they would like to widen its scope.  These are more than valid concerns. Throughout the history of the rape gangs scandal, women like Ms Goddard have been repeatedly betrayed and failed because of official sensitivities about the offending pattern, with predominantly Pakistani-Muslim gangs predominantly abusing white girls.  Past inquiries have proved reluctant to investigate this key dynamic, and many survivors view “widening the scope” as a vehicle for rendering them toothless.  The 2022 Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA), whose remit included abuse in the church and within the home, was far too broad to properly address the rape gangs. Indeed, it seemed that a “deliberate decision was made to ignore towns where grooming had taken place”, said Goddard this week. “We are terrified that this will happen again.” Quite rightly, the rapid audit completed by Baroness Casey in June which precipitated the national inquiry was into “group-based child sexual exploitation and abuse”, and nothing else. She also called for a specific focus on the role of race and religion. But on Thursday came a statement from five other survivors on the panel, whose abuse, though clearly horrifying, does not strictly fit the pattern identified by Baroness Casey. Led by survivor Samantha Walker-Roberts, who has waived her anonymity, they backed widening the inquiry, saying it should cover all types of sexual exploitation and that “anyone who believes their evidence should be included” should have the chance to participate. The group also threatened to resign from the panel if Ms Phillips was herself forced to resign... the grim conclusion many will draw is that, at best by lack of foresight, Ms Phillips has allowed a group of survivors to be included in the inquiry whose inclusion was always likely to derail it. Convenient, some might say, for a party many of whose local councils are expected to be widely implicated by any thorough investigation."
Damn far right manipulating victims to demonise minorities!

Chris Rose on X - "When Kemi read out the words of the survivors of Pakistani grooming gangs who have left the national inquiry panel, Labour MPs shouted "shame". First they called them liars and now this shameful display towards the victims. Atrocious attitude. #PMQs"

Allison Pearson on X - "I can’t believe the Government thinks it can exempt police, social workers, councillors, civil servants from the national rape-gangs inquiry. Those are exactly the people who covered up and excused the rapists. At this rate, there will be a popular revolt. #caseyreview"
VoxPopuli on X - "11 years since the Rotherham inquiry, not a single police officer, councillor, social service, or politician has been held to account."

The Stark Naked Brief. on X - "There’s a detail in the grooming gang scandal that has received far too little attention.  In her rapid audit, Baroness Casey had to explicitly say that local authorities, police forces, and related agencies “should be required not to delete evidence.”  This was after she found names, dates, and locations had been physically Tipp-Ex’d out of official documents relating to grooming cases.  One thing that perhaps hasn't been discussed as much as it should have...  The more Starmer stalls, the more time authorities have to cover their tracks.  In a modern, democratic, and supposedly open society, why would you even have to remind authorities not to destroy evidence?  The fact that it needed to be said at all tells its own story."

Lee Harris on X - "'Vulnerable white girls being targeted by British Pakistani grooming gangs is the sort of thing you expect to read in BNP leaflets'  'It's important to make this VERY clear. It's NOT true'  Utterly damning for Owen Jones. This vile leftist is always on the wrong side of history."

Rupert Lowe MP on X - "Our Rape Gang Inquiry has today released research detailing eighty-five local authorities in which the gang-based sexual exploitation of children is taking place, or has historically done so. This is one of the most comprehensive exposes of the rape gang scandal to date."

David Atherton on X - "This is shocking from Shadow Home Secretary Chris @CPhilpOfficial . A survivor, aged 15, in Bradford repeatedly told her social worker of being gang raped. Instead of helping her she was allowed to marry her abuser in an Islamic ceremony, the social worker was a guest.  Shabir Ahmed who was jailed for 22 years for being the gang rape leader in Rochdale, was employed by Oldham Council as a Welfare Rights Officer.  A man tried to rescue his daughter, the police arrested him twice.   A survivor was repeatedly raped by Pakistani heritage taxi drivers, her mother approached social services & was told if she complained again, she'd lose her daughter.   A retired police officer was told by a senior officer not to pursue the prosecution of perpetrators as they did not want to offend Bradford's Muslim community.   The cover up was complete."

Rochdale grooming gang cannot be deported after tearing up Pakistan passports - "Pakistan is refusing to take back the ringleaders of the Rochdale child grooming scandal after they renounced their citizenship.  Ministers are engaged in high-level talks with the Pakistan government to persuade them to drop their block on the deportations of Qari Abdul Rauf and Adil Khan, two of Britain’s worst grooming offenders. Sources indicated that progress was being made.  The pair lost appeals against deportation in 2018 but remain in Britain.  Pakistan officials told The Telegraph it would be “extremely difficult” to take back such dangerous criminals and that there was “no basis to accept them” if they had renounced their citizenship."

Samantha Smith on X - "“It’s girls for votes... Labour politicians are up to their necks with the Muslim community. They will do anything not to offend them. Including allowing small, vulnerable girls to be trafficked and raped on an industrial scale.” — @AllisonPearson This. 1000% this."

Shockat Adam MP on X - "The country we love is under siege by deadly hate.  “Fight back or die” echoed across a London far-right rally.  “You don’t belong in this country, get out,” as thugs raped a Sikh girl in Oldbury.  A "Hitler-inspired" mass murder plot targeted a UK mosque.  We must defeat this in our streets, ballot boxes and wherever it tries to take root.  Hate must never divide or define our nation."
Carl Benjamin 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 on X - "Somehow it wasn't "deadly hate" when Pakistani Muslim rape gangs were raping English girls in 86 towns and cities across the country, though."

Grooming gang families ‘infiltrate charities to threaten survivors’ - "Despite perpetrators being on watchlists or in prison, their relatives have routinely tried to “infiltrate” organisations that support the survivors of sexual exploitation. Paul O’Rourke, the managing director of Next Stage Youth Development, which has helped four girls abused by Rochdale grooming gangs, said the problem was “really common” in the sector but has been overlooked amid the national outcry. Over the past decade, his small charity has identified five people with ties to grooming gangs who have sent in bogus job applications in order to get close to victims. The most recent attempt was made last summer. “Once the gang in Rochdale found out where those young people were, they tried to infiltrate — to get access to them, to interfere with them as witnesses, to threaten them,” O’Rourke said. “They also tried to recruit them back into the grooming gang because they were still very vulnerable.”... Gang members and their associates are opportunists who also try calling and emailing charities to extract information about victims, O’Rourke said. In some cases they have appeared in person to harass victims and threaten Next Stage staff. “When we had some of those young girls, we had incidents where they [grooming gang members] would be bold as brass, knocking on the door of our children’s home at the time, trying to get to these girls,” O’Rourke said."
