Officials forced to reveal migrant crime tables
Britons fined £25m in a year for accidentally bringing migrants to UK - "British drivers have been fined £25 million for accidentally bringing migrants back to the UK, figures show. Travellers have been penalised for unknowingly transporting stowaways in trailers, bike rack covers and in the back of motorhomes. Since last January, the Home Office has issued almost 6,000 fines under its Clandestine Entrant Civil Penalty Scheme, according to data. The scheme is designed to tackle the number of illegal migrants getting into the country, but has been criticised for punishing unsuspecting Britons who report stowaways. Drivers can be fined up to £10,000 for each “clandestine” carried, even if they have no knowledge of their presence. They can also be fined £6,000 if their vehicles are not “adequately secured” – which applies whether entering or departing the UK – and is enforceable even if no migrant gets on board."

Starmer to rent homes for migrants - "The Home Office has launched a drive for landlords to house asylum seekers following a surge in Channel migrant crossings. Serco, one of three private contractors working for the Home Office, is offering landlords five-year guaranteed full rent deals to house asylum seekers at the taxpayer’s expense. In promotional literature, the firm boasts that it is already responsible for more than 30,000 asylum seekers in an “ever growing” portfolio of more than 7,000 properties. The move comes after a new record for daily small boat arrivals was set earlier this month, with officials braced for more in good weather next week, with temperatures set to hit 27C. Migrant accommodation has become a growing issue on the doorstep, with one Labour candidate vowing to close a local asylum hotel ahead of next week’s local elections and Runcorn by-election. On Friday night, Labour was accused of taking homes away from British people and “giving a better deal in favour of illegal immigrants than people who have lived, worked and paid tax here all their lives”... During the general election campaign, Sir Keir Starmer pledged to “end asylum hotels, saving the taxpayer billions of pounds”. However, the latest Home Office data showed that there were 38,000 asylum seekers in hotels as at December last year, costing £5.5 million a day and up from 29,585 last June, just before the election. Migrant Channel crossings are on the rise, with 9,638 people arriving illegally so far this year, 44.5 per cent higher than the same point last year and the largest number since the first small boats arrived in 2018... Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, said: “This lays bare Labour’s shameful failures. Because they have let in record numbers of illegal immigrants so far this year, via Serco the Government is offering better than market terms to landlords to house them. “This is taking away homes that hard-working, tax-paying Britons who are struggling to find a place to rent need. Labour is once again giving a better deal to illegal immigrants than people who have lived, worked and paid tax here all their lives. These illegal immigrants should have been sent to Rwanda, not put up in nice flats.”... The fresh drive has sparked a backlash from councils and charities, which have said young British workers, families and homeless people are losing out as the contractors push up the cost of housing and deny them cheaper properties. There are an estimated 1.3 million people on social housing waiting lists amid acute shortages of cheaper private rented accommodation. One council leader said: “It’s Serco who are encouraging landlords to exploit taxpayers, then it’s blamed on councils because of the impact it has on local rents, services and social cohesion. I don’t think it’s good for the fabric of society or the individuals involved.” A housing executive who has advised the Government said the move was denying homes to local people, adding: “Whether they are long-term residents of the UK or immigrants, they should surely come ahead of asylum seekers and illegal migrants who turn up and demand assistance. “It seems an unfair way to deal with the people in Britain who are struggling by taking away accommodation that they could benefit from.” On Friday, The Sun reported that a hotel firm housing asylum seekers had made £700 million in a year from the taxpayer."
Damn far right who have no empathy for migrants! If you have empathy for natives, you're xenophobic, of course
Britain’s immigration policy should ruthlessly discriminate against poor countries - "Perhaps the strangest feature of Britain’s economic reliance on mass migration is that nobody can be entirely sure that it exists. British policymakers looking to juice growth and boost spending power have spent decades pursuing a policy of immigration without seeming to check that this supposed necessity actually is one. The core of the problem is straightforward: while other policies are subjected to rigorous assessments and the endless scrutiny of the Treasury, migration slips under the radar. Newcomers are treated as if they are interchangeable, while the short-term focus of fiscal forecasts keeps lifetime costs out of sight and out of mind. This is particularly strange because we know that these costs can be considerable, and that people from different countries arriving on different visas are likely to have very different effects: when the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) finally decided to take a look at the lifetime contributions of low-wage migrants last year, it found that they were highly negative. It’s long past time that we started applying similar scrutiny to migrants’ countries of origin, too... We already know – we can see it in the data – that employment rates differ between ethnic groups in Britain, particularly among women. We know that different groups, on average, have different numbers of children, with different requirements for schooling and maternity services. Until recently, we knew which nationalities paid how much in tax and which claimed welfare – although we’ve stopped publishing these figures. We know who tends to end up in social housing (with 32pc of household reference persons born in Africa socially housed, compared to 13pc of those from continental Europe), we know which groups stay in the UK and which tend to return home, and we can see, too, how these patterns persist over subsequent generations... Studies have repeatedly shown, for instance, that EU migrants tend to make a positive fiscal contribution, and non-EU migrants a negative one, with one academic paper estimating the net drain from the second group at £118bn between 1995 and 2011. This is roughly in line with figures from other European nations. Denmark, for instance, has calculated that non-Western immigrants and their descendants cost roughly £3bn a year, while Western immigrants and their descendants pay in £1.3bn. Similarly, researchers in the Netherlands have found Western immigrants bring a net benefit of £36,000 each, and non-Western immigrants a drain of £143,00... It’s worth saying at this point that some of these costs are the result of Britain’s state structure and approach to migration, rather than the countries of origin. Pakistani Americans, in contrast to their low-income British peers, have household incomes 33pc above the national average and solid employment rates, so something is clearly going wrong in the UK’s selection mechanisms... In the long run the most important determinant of national prosperity is less the inherited stock of physical capital than it is the people who inhabit the land, and the institutions they adhere to. We know that when people move from higher-income countries to lower-income ones they tend to bring something of their culture with them. We should be open to the idea that this process can happen in reverse too: mass migration from poorer countries can import the habits and cultural tendencies that keep those countries poor. Rather than basing policy on aggregate figures chosen to meet the short-term hole in OBR forecasts, or temporarily lower the cost of staffing care homes, we should treat immigration with the granularity and seriousness it deserves: as a powerful tool that can totally reshape our long-term economic prospects. And we should base policy on hard evidence, rather than hand-waved assumptions. In God we trust. Everyone else, bring data."

More than half of migrant workers would be barred from staying in UK under Tory plans - "More than half of migrant workers would be barred from remaining in Britain indefinitely under Tory immigration plans because they do not earn enough. Kemi Badenoch has announced that migrants will only be entitled to indefinite leave to remain if they have been working and have not claimed benefits or used social housing during 10 years in Britain. They would also have to have been “net contributors” to the economy over the decade, meaning their tax payments outweigh the costs to the state of their children and any benefits. Official data suggests that more than half the two million migrants who will become eligible for indefinite leave to remain in the next four to five years will not be earning enough to cross the threshold of being net contributors. The analysis suggests that they will need to be earning on average £28,000 a year at today’s prices in order to be net contributors, where the tax paid is greater than the amount spent by the state. Official data show that 72 per cent of skilled work visas went to migrants likely to be earning less than the average UK salary, which is around £37,000 a year. Just five per cent of all visas in 2022-23 were given to high-skilled migrants who are likely to be net contributors. Data from the Office for Budget Responsibility suggest that low-wage migrants – earning £18,500, or half the average wage – would cost the state about £500,000 if they came to the UK in their late 20s and stayed until they were 80. By contrast, migrants on average earnings would make a net contribution of £500,000 during their working lives from their mid-20s through to their 60s. High-wage migrants would make a net contribution of just under £1 million in the same period, according to the OBR graphs... Under Mrs Badenoch’s proposals, migrants who have entered the UK legally should only be allowed to claim indefinite leave to remain once they have been in the UK for 10 years – double the current five years. They would then have to wait five years, rather than 12 months, before being able to seek citizenship. Any migrants who had arrived illegally, whether on small boats across the Channel or overstaying their visa, would automatically be barred from claiming indefinite leave to remain even if their asylum claim was granted so they were legally recognised as refugees. Denying them the right to remain indefinitely in the UK would leave open the possibility they could be returned to their home country if the situation that forced them to flee improved. Anyone whose visa expired after failing to secure indefinite leave to remain could also be removed from the UK."

EXCLUSIVE: 'Boriswave’ of migrant families will cost taxpayers £35billion, shock new report finds - "Dependants of migrants who entered the country since 2021 will cost taxpayers £35 billion by 2028, GB News can reveal. New research from the Centre for Migration Control (CMC), exclusively revealed to this broadcaster, has found that the decision made under Boris Johnson’s government to allow skilled workers to bring dependants with them will cost the UK tens of billions of pounds. Robert Bates, Research Director and founder of the CMC, told GB News: “The legacy of Boris Johnson’s government will forever be the disastrous impact of the ‘Boriswave’ of millions of migrants from Africa and Asia.” “Not only has this wave of migrants inflicted a vast cultural change upon every corner of the British Isles, it also represents a huge drain on the taxpayer.” “The Conservative Party flooded the country with vast numbers of students, workers, and illegal migrants in recent years, and even worse enabled them to bring their families and children, burdening the native population with the consequences.” “It will take taxpayers years to recover from the financial cost of this decision, and Britain may never recover from the cultural implications.” “This figure is overly conservative, and the situation could actually be a lot worse. After five years these individuals become eligible to claim benefits and inflict a further drain on the public coffers. We need to stop this by suspending all application for settled status immediately”... After the record surge in migration, the Conservative government shut down its dependants scheme in January 2024. In September 2024, the OBR released a much-publicised Fiscal Risk report which showed, for the first time, that low-wage migrants are a net cost to the Exchequer at every stage of life. However, the OBR’s report failed to take into account the fiscal impact of migrant dependants... “The UK is not a charity. It is our home. We must take care of it, and that means halting this tidal wave of migrants.”"

Women and children ‘endure rape, beatings and abuse’ inside Dunkirk’s refugee camp - "sexual abuse is common within the large camp at Dunkirk and that children and women are forced to have sex by traffickers in return for blankets or food or the offer of passage to the UK... She said that one of the most in-demand products distributed to women in Camp de la Linière – the Dunkirk Camp – are adult nappies. “Women are too scared to go to the toilets in the night. None of the locks in the women’s toilets in the camp work,” she said... Another statement provided by an ex-NGO worker, who spent three and a half years volunteering at Dunkirk, said men targeted women and children because they were so vulnerable. “You see women in a male environment with men that are disconnected from reality, so there are serious incidents such as rape. Women, children, young teens, male and female.” The worker referred to the children as being like “little steaks” because they were considered so appetitising and vulnerable to traffickers, of whom dozens are resident on site. One woman travelling by herself said that unaccompanied individuals were viewed as prey: “All men see that I’m alone, and it’s the same for the children. Men see me and they want to rape me.”"

Isnt the effect of wealth inequality and billionares a more serious problem that needs to be dealt with than immigration? : r/AskBrits - "Even if Immigration negatuvely effects the working class, which is very debatable when done right, isnt the effect of a lack of regulation, billionares and wealth inequality or deregulated capitalism as a whole a more serious concern? Is it really abt the economy for most people or do you just hate seeing minorities? Are we becoming a stupid country? : r/AskBrits - "I’m speaking of this in the context of the NHS, Immigration and the Pension system. The recent local elections have confirmed that Reform UK will probably play a major role in the formation of the next government. Their entire selling point is that we have one magic bullet which is lowering migration to the UK but the evidence suggests that this is either an insufficient solution or it may even be detrimental. The marginal cost of housing illegal migrants is also relatively small compared to the size of the state (something like 0.3% of government spend and less than the NHS spends on office supplies). Not to say that the cost is justified but it’s far better than the legal fees associated with ripping up international law. Then there’s the point of legal migration which has been shown time and time again to be a huge financial benefit to the country. The vast majority of legal migrants work in the NHS or are student paying very high fees. There is an argument that we should train brits up as nurses and NHS staff but… we already are! That still isn’t addressing the skill gap. Also, longer term, with the UK (and most of the west) having low birth rates, there is a real problem for the future with demographic change and how the state supports the pension system (not enough working adults). Also studies show birth rates are much higher in migrants than native brits so that adds to the problem. None of these problems are rocket science. They are all well studied and documented, but whenever I speak to anyone who’s voting reform, they just parrot lines back to me about fairness, fighting age men and hotel room temperatures. It just feels like the critical thinking abilities of the country is rapidly diminishing. The irony is we are watching the US score own goal after own goal with Trump then we just say that “Americans are stupid” or whatever. Now we’re watching the UK enthusiastically vote for a man who’s largest contribution to UK politics was destroying our relationship with the biggest trading block in the world and has said Ukraine provoked Russia to start the war. The only thing I can settle on is we’re voting for reform out of desperation but it feels like we’re chopping our arms off to save on the cost of gloves. What do you guys think?"
Economic illiteracy comes with the territory. Negative lifetime fiscal impact is something they cannot conceive of (unless maybe if it's white people involved), and there is always money to be found
My immigrant mother can’t stop saying thank you. Why does that make me uncomfortable? - "My mother feels patriotic about her country of origin, Italy, but her home has been England for the past 15 years. She has a British partner, holds legal residence in the UK, and has been paying British taxes as long as she has been here. She never felt fully accepted by people in this country. She is often talked down to because of her accent, although her English is proficient. She also finds some difficulty with everyday things, such as worrying about being understood by her manager or applying for pension assistance – struggling with everything from British humour, to the country’s administration. And she still feels that, as an immigrant, she needs to prove something. At first a teacher for young children, now a bus driver, she always did jobs that tied her to the local community, that had some sort of service element. She constantly feels that she must give back, and constantly tells me “you must always be grateful”. She took to the most British of traits since arriving here, which is to be overly polite and say “thank you” for small favours. If someone at a public office asks her to repeat herself, because of her strong accent, she will still smile and thank them for their work... Looking at her life, it is easy to feel resentful that she has to go so far to prove herself worthy of occupying space, when she already sufficiently contributes to a society that is lucky to have her. In the past few years, she spent her days off working at the Red Cross, or determinedly marching from door to door in assistance of the 2021 government census. When people would shut the door in her face, she would effuse her dutiful sense of democratic appreciation for a country in which she is one of about five million people unable to vote because of their immigration status."
The subaltern cannot have a voice unless it pushes the left wing agenda. Clearly, her mother needs to denounce the racist, xenophobic society that the UK is and is not allowed to be grateful. People have no responsibilities to society, only rights, and those who want to give back are crazy. And if you don't let foreigners vote, that's discrimination
Tories forced Dame Andrea Jenkyns's elderly mother to do diversity training for liking migrant post - "A former Tory MP has said the party forced her mother to undergo diversity training after she liked a social media post about illegal migration. Dame Andrea Jenkyns said Tory HQ had sent her a 10-module course which included questions about different genders and sexualities. The former Tory minister said party bosses had stripped her late mother Valerie, who at the time was almost 80, of her membership and would not restore it until she did the training. The decision happened before Kemi Badenoch was made leader, and a Conservative spokesman said the party was “now under new management”. Dame Andrea lost her seat at the election and has defected to Reform UK. She is now standing for Nigel Farage’s party to become mayor of Greater Lincolnshire. She told The Telegraph that Conservative HQ contacted Valerie in early 2020 about social media posts that she had liked five or six years earlier. The posts are said to have been related to grooming gangs and calls to deport illegal migrants. Dame Andrea said that her mother used a smartphone to scroll through social media sites and frequently liked posts by mistake. She said this had included Valerie accidentally liking messages posted by the Labour candidate in her Morley and Outwood constituency... She said that one question asked “what is a pansexual?” and added that she had spent two hours filling the answers out on behalf of her mother. “I did the course for her because it was a matter of principle for me to get her back into the party with her daughter being an MP,” Dame Andrea said. “To make a woman in her late 70s do a course like that, it’s a joke."

The economic case for mass immigration is COLLAPSING - "Listen to the expert class and they’ll tell you mass immigration is good for Western economies. It’s driving growth, making us more productive, making our societies more prosperous and improving living standards. But this is a myth. Mass immigration —as a growing pile of evidence across Europe now shows— is not good for Western economies. On the contrary, if you look past the pro-immigration zealots masquerading as serious economists on Twitter and engage with the actual evidence then you’ll soon realise that much of the immigration flooding into the West is hollowing out our economies, taking more out of them than it’s putting in. Look at the UK. A couple of weeks ago, the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) released a new report on the country’s fiscal risks, concluding that the country’s finances are on an unsustainable path. Over the next half-century, because of the UK’s ageing society and climate risks, public spending is forecast to rise from 45% to over 60% of GDP, with debt as a percentage of GDP soaring to an eye-watering 274% in the coming decades. In short, we’re heading for disaster unless something changes."
