Wilfred Reilly on X - "It's actually worth sharing this one too. Now, I don't make any predictions, in this tweet below, at all. I note how many COVID cases you'd have to SEE to get a specific death rate. COVID did kill a few hundred thousand people that year - ahead of opiates/ODs...which also wielded quite a scythe due to lock-down. Chris Selley: B.C.’s draconian Trump-emergency bill repeats lessons we failed to learn from COVID - "Throughout most of the pandemic, our debates over which measures to implement and which not to were often poisoned by our success relative to the United States, especially, but also various European nations. Looking back on the full scope of COVID-19, the numbers paint a somewhat more complicated portrait. At 1,538 deaths per million people, Canada is in the same basic league as Switzerland (1,647), Denmark (1,511) and Israel (1,363). Even Norway, which was keeping the death toll in check better than just about anywhere in Europe, finished at 1,204 deaths per million. Now consider: According to UNESCO data, Norway’s schools were fully closed for just four weeks, and Denmark’s for just eight. By June 2021, the Ontario Science Table reported at the time, schools had been closed province-wide — never mind regionally — for 19 weeks in Ontario, the most of any province. British Columbia closed schools province-wide for just nine weeks, and for most of the pandemic had the lowest death tolls and the least stringent lockdowns … but in the end, wound up with more deaths per capita than Ontario. Why? Search me. These things need investigating, not least as the evidence continues to mount of the harm school closures inevitably did to children — how could it not?"
Sylvia Browne Book: This book predicted 2020 coronavirus outbreak 12 years ago. - "Remember we told you about a novel that predicted the coronavirus outbreak 40 years ago? It was a thriller, The Eyes of Darkness, written by Dean Koontz. Looks like it is not the only piece of fiction that predicted the coronavirus outbreak. A book titled End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies about the End of the World, written by Sylvia Browne, also predicted the global outbreak of coronavirus. The book was first published in 2008. A photo of an excerpt from the book is going viral across social media platforms and is spooky enough to reach for that box of tissues to wipe your sweat. "In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and bronchial tubes resisting all known treatments," the excerpt read... "Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrives, attack again ten years later and then disappear completely.""

Man Comes Out of COVID-19 Isolation 5 Years After Pandemic Started - "Karl Knights, who is from Suffolk in the east of England, has an increased risk of complications from a potential coronavirus infection due to him having cerebral palsy and being immunosuppressed... Recalling the "scary" moment the U.K. government announced its first national lockdown, between March and June 2020, Knights — whose doctor advised him to immediately isolate — told the station he knew his life was "about to change." "For me it was one of those pivotal kind of moments, where I could sense something was going to shift, and my life wouldn't be exactly the same for a little while," the writer said. Knights regularly posts about COVID-19 and isolating on social media, and during the pandemic, he admitted his tweets gained "a lot of attention.""

House Report Finds Most COVID-19 Conspiracy Theories True - "After a two-year investigation, the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released its 520-page report (titled “After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward”) earlier this week. The report finds that the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 likely originated from a lab leak at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, where it may have been manufactured as a chimera. Lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing, and vaccine mandates were not based on sound science and did more harm than good, the House subcommittee report says. Natural immunity exists for COVID-19, as it does for other viruses. And then-President Donald Trump’s “racist” travel bans likely saved lives. Expressing any of these would have been enough to get one banned from social media."

German children rescued from four-year Covid lockdown in ‘horror house’ in Spain - "Three German children have been rescued from a “horror house” in Spain where they spent years living under a Covid lockdown allegedly imposed by their parents. Spanish police arrested the adults, who allegedly forced their children to remain in the house wearing face masks and nappies long after the end of Covid restrictions. An investigator told Spanish media that “as soon as we got them out, all three children began to breathe deeply, as if they had never been outside before”. Speaking to El Comercio newspaper, investigators suggested that the parents suffered from “Covid syndrome” and had continued to live in fear of the virus for several years. “We have all been affected by Covid syndrome and the consequences of the pandemic. We can reflect on what led a family to live in confinement for so long,” the investigator said. The children appeared to be amazed that they were finally allowed outdoors, and went to touch the grass on the lawn, investigators said. They had been forced to wear three face masks on top of each other before officers entered the house... The parents initially demanded that the officers put on face masks as they searched the house. People living nearby said the family were extremely reclusive and never left the house, with food being delivered to the door as if the pandemic was still ongoing. After entering the house, police found a large supply of face masks and medicine, along with huge amounts of rubbish. A seriously ill cat was also found, which had seemingly not been taken to the vet because the parents feared they would catch coronavirus. Investigators had to speak in English to the children, eight-year-old twins and a 10-year-old, because they had not been attending school and never learnt Spanish. The family was reported to have been living under lockdown conditions since 2021, despite Covid restrictions being lifted in Spain in March 2022."
From May 2025. Fake news! We Know that masks don't affect breathing!
How scientists misled the world about Covid's origins - "Five years ago today, based on a highly misleading ‘model’ forecast from one academic, Neil Ferguson, the British government ditched its pandemic plan and locked the entire country down. This decision had disastrous and – as Sweden proves – unnecessary consequences. It was the first of many dreadful mistakes made by the government during the Covid pandemic: shutting schools at the behest of unions, assuming the virus was not airborne, vaccinating children, overclaiming for vaccines and masks. The government thought it knew best and it let us down. But all those errors pale beside the biggest one of the lot, and the one that has done most to undermine trust in scientists – that is, the initial insistence that the virus did not originate in a laboratory accident. We now know that it almost certainly did. The evidence is overwhelming, as I have rehearsed many times. And it now includes a huge stack of documents – inadvertently made public and spotted by two open-source investigators, ‘Billy Bostickson’ and Gilles Demaneuf – that shows just how systematically we were deceived about this mother of all scandals. Let me place you inside a taxi travelling to Geneva airport on 12 February 2020. Inside the cab are two people. One is Dr Peter Daszak, the $400,000-a-year head of the EcoHealth Alliance, an organisation that boasted about funnelling millions of dollars to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to harvest wild bat viruses and do risky experiments on them. He and his organisation would later be debarred from federal funding by the Biden administration for failing to divulge vital information about EcoHealth’s support for suspiciously risky gain-of-function experiments on close relatives of the virus that caused Covid. The other is Dr (now Sir) Jeremy Farrar, the then head of the Wellcome Trust, the world’s largest charitable funder of scientific research, and now head of science at the World Health Organisation (WHO)... Farrar wants the issue ‘put to bed’, even though he knows the last hope of finding evidence for a natural origin of the virus – the pangolin theory – has already fallen apart. That’s because the pangolin virus lacks the very addition that alarmed the scientists about Covid, a thing called a furin cleavage site. Five days after his taxi ride, Farrar would indeed help ‘put to bed’ the lab-leak theory by reading the draft paper (written at his suggestion, remember) and asking that the authors change the wording from ‘unlikely’ to ‘improbable’. He then promises to ‘push’ the paper towards a major journal, Nature Medicine, all while refusing to be listed as either an author or in the acknowledgements. That itself is a breach of scientific ethics. The day after the taxi ride, Daszak replies to Farrar’s email asking him and the other recipients to sign a separate letter ‘to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that Covid-19 does not have a natural origin’. By return, ‘50-50’ Farrar – who knows this is not a conspiracy theory but a reasonable possibility, remember – agrees to sign this letter. He goes further, pushing Daszak to publish the letter at the Lancet rather than on a website... the Lancet, disgracefully, took more than a year to correct the statement at the end of the letter that none of the authors had a conflict of interest. Thus, we now know that the two documents that persuaded the entire political, media and scientific establishment that a lab leak was not just unlikely but also improbable, perhaps even impossible, were highly misleading propaganda efforts by people with conflicts of interest who knew them to be misleading. I should know: at the time of these events I was on the science and technology committee of the House of Lords. I thought a lab leak was unlikely but possible. Then these two statements were published. To my eternal shame, I – and my committee colleagues – took these two papers as definitive evidence against the lab-leak theory from experts in the field. Several peers and journalists asked me if a lab leak was likely. No, I said – these two papers have ruled it out. Several months later, I discovered that I had been lied to: deliberately, maliciously, consequentially. Yes, I am angry about that. So should you be."

TDF aids Amish community in fallout from liens registered against farm properties - "Members of an Ontario Amish community, previously burdened by nearly $300,000 in fines for alleged non-compliance with the government-mandated ArriveCAN app during the COVID-19 pandemic, are now receiving further critical legal relief thanks to the efforts of The Democracy Fund (TDF). As a result of convictions from these ArriveCAN tickets, liens were often placed by the government on Amish farms, damaging credit ratings and crippling the ability of Amish community members to secure loans for essential farm equipment; their primary means of income and sustenance. Although TDF has managed to have many of these tickets stayed, some liens remained on Amish farm properties. TDF lawyers have now successfully assisted two community members in navigating the complex lien-lifting process, enabling them to transfer property and secure loans for vital farm equipment and supplies. This legal support has been a lifeline for the community, helping to preserve their livelihoods and protect their religious freedoms. Living an 18th-century lifestyle without electricity or modern amenities, the Amish were unable to use the ArriveCAN app. As a result, they often incurred harsh penalties and threats to their self-sufficient way of life. Property liens prevented community members from obtaining loans, hindering their ability to maintain farms and support their families."
Covid Exposure: The Floyd Hypocrisy - "When telling the history of Covid response, the story of George Floyd must be included... the response to these protests laid plain the deep incompetence and hypocrisy of the media and the expert class of academics and public health professionals... People started asking why the protestors got to flaunt the laws while other citizens (for example, churchgoers) were still subject to restrictions and fines for disobedience...
'New Yorkers saw police officers throwing a young mother forcibly to the ground for the “offense” of not having her mask on correctly. Yet for four days, thousands marched and assembled close together, hardly any social distancing either with themselves or with the police (many of whom were maskless). The rules do not apply for mass protest.'
This blatant hypocrisy wasn’t just a matter of impotence on the part of government officials to end, coordinate, or control these protests. Many of them engaged in active and formal hypocrisy. New York City had put together a system for contact tracing to try to identify activities and patterns of Covid spread in order to support and enforce quarantine and other mitigations. Contact tracers were instructed not to ask about whether or not infections were connected to the protests. There was obvious utility in understanding if the protests were driving Covid spread. This was important data to collect and reveal. The data was not to be gathered because the governing officials did not want to know and did not want to embarrass their ideological allies. There was immediate unrest among those who had submitted themselves to these strict mitigations. It was clear that there were distinct classes when it came to the enforcement of Covid mitigations and these classes were politically demarcated. If your religion said you should socially gather together go to church or synagogue, you were in the disfavored class and you would be arrested. If your religion said that you should socially gather together to protest against police brutality, you were in the favored class and you would be celebrated. And then the worst thing happened for anyone who values institutional trust. On May 30th, a document titled “Open letter advocating for an anti-racist public health response to demonstrations against systemic injustice occurring during the COVID-19 pandemic” was published. It was signed by “1,288 public health professionals, infectious diseases (sic) professionals, and community stakeholders”. This document was presented as guidance from public health experts in support of allowing and even encouraging the Floyd protests... NPR presented this document as formal declaration of support for the protests from public health and disease experts. Politico ran the headline “Suddenly, Public Health Officials Say Social Justice Matters More Than Social Distance” in which the author, Dan Diamond, portrayed the signatories of this letter as the same public health experts who were responsible for stay-at-home orders. I objected strenuously to this portrayal of the letter... But none of that seemed to matter. Journalists and activists consistently refused to distinguish between experts who are reliable and consistent and “experts” who just claim to be experts for political, self-promotional, or narcissistic reasons. In many cases, it seemed like journalists preferred to rely on partisan experts who would prostitute their credentials in order to validate an ideology or narrative... The collapse of institutional trust happened in this moment, right before our eyes. It was driven by partisan academics, journalists eager to validate a their narrative, and cowardly institutionalists who couldn’t bring themselves to stand in protest to this ideological steamroller. What people saw was not a deep understanding of non-partisan expertise driving objective evidence-based policy. They saw their kids being banned from schools and birthday parties. They saw people dying and families denied the closure of a funeral. They saw the sacrifices they made to “slow the spread” and the loss of their faith communities. Then they saw “the experts” tell them that none of it was necessary because we can just throw the rules aside if we like the ideology of the people who disregard the rules... I saw masses of people packed into the protestor takeover of Seattle city hall, many of them without masks... There was no indication whatsoever that these events were driving population-level Covid spread... if massive social events, indoor meetings, and high density gatherings weren’t driving an increase in Covid cases, why were we banning these things? The truth that was starting to dawn on me was that these mitigations didn’t really matter one way or the other. In the following months, we would see that Covid was simply going to spread based on seasonal infection patterns and the mitigations didn’t change this in any measurable way. The truth was that we really just couldn’t stop Covid through public health policy. But then why did our public health policy experts insist that we could? Why were they imposing these mitigations if they weren’t certain that they would be effective? And, given this new and compelling evidence that mitigations didn’t matter, why were we not changing course? I had been defending the “real experts” who said that protests would increase infection rates. Why were they so wrong? Did they… Did they not know what they were talking about? Were their recommendations nonsense? Were they just making things up and telling us that these things worked when they didn’t work at all? This was the beginning of something like a descent into madness for me over the next 2 years. A plain reading of the data was showing us that mitigations didn’t really work. The experts said we needed mitigations, contact tracing, and quarantine but those things weren’t working. They didn’t change the infection curves, they weren’t making a difference in the population data. They were causing massive amounts of harm to children, the sick, and the elderly, but they weren’t stopping Covid or even slowing it down. Why did the experts keep insisting on these things if they didn’t work? Were the people in charge of national and state health policy, who were disrupting the lives of millions of children, families, and citizens, who were implementing mandates across the country and imposing onerous restrictions on everyone under their power…. were these people they less aware of the data than a random idiot with a twitter account and a homemade data scraper? This was where my trust in experts began its long slide."

Chris Selley: We have learned nothing from COVID-19 - "Politicians knew that the saving grace of COVID-19 was that it didn’t target otherwise-healthy children for death. But they also knew that “think of the children” was the easiest way to sell restrictions on everyday life, and so that’s what they used. Now we have a flu season that may well be killing more Canadian children than COVID-19, and there’s absolute silence. No one called for schools to be closed, for Canadian Tire stores to be divided into essential and non-essential goods aisles, for bars and restaurants to be shuttered, for returning travellers to be locked up in hotels for society’s amusement. These are the sorts of contradictions, conundrums and failures that all the pandemic inquiries we’re not getting should be looking into. Because we clearly haven’t learned anything at all from the pandemic nightmare except that we’re better than Americans … and our superiority complex was more than big enough to begin with. How little have we learned? Moore, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, took some flak last month for daring to mention that the measles outbreak was hyper-concentrated in certain unvaccinated religious communities. Dr. Ninh Tran, of Ontario’s Southwestern Public Health District, warned that associating measles cases to certain communities might provide “a false sense of security for the general public.” As if Ontarians actually believe being Mennonite attracts the influenza virus."
Too bad he didn't mention the politicization of covid and how that has led to even lower vaccination rates
Why New Zealand has turned on Jacinda Ardern - as she moves to the United States - "During a recent appearance on New Zealand television Ms Ardern admitted that interviews conducted at home made her the most nervous. 'Every time I do a New Zealand interview, I message Clarke and say I'm feeling a bit squirmy,' she said, referring to her husband, Clarke Gayford who she married in 2024 following a five year engagement. Lynch described her admission as 'telling' in an opinion piece on his news site, arguing that Ms Ardern enjoys a far warmer reception abroad than she does at home. 'Abroad, she is met with applause. At home, she is remembered as the face of division and government overreach,' he wrote... Lynch said there was a stark disconnect between Ardern's international image and her domestic legacy, calling it a 'parallel universe.' 'It's always fascinating to see Jacinda Ardern appear on American television shows, where they seem to fawn over her with almost mythical admiration,' he said. 'Perhaps she understands, on some level, that while she presents an image of compassion and unity to the world, many New Zealanders are still living with the consequences of the decisions her government made.' Lynch said Ms Ardern's memoir and tour were an attempt to rebrand herself with the assistance of an often fawning media that 'rarely questions her narrative.' 'Her memoir and media tour are not just about storytelling. They are a calculated attempt to reshape her reputation,' he said. 'Ardern wants to be remembered as a unifier. But many recall her leadership as defined by control, exclusion, and distrust.' He criticised Ms Ardern's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, saying that New Zealand's harsh lockdown rules were sold under a false message of kindness. '"Be Kind" became a national slogan. In practice, it meant "do not question". Millions of dollars were spent on communication campaigns, compliance measures, and policing so-called disinformation.' he said. Lynch was also critical of those interviewing Ms Ardern for heaping praise on the former PM rather than asking tough questions about her time in office. 'Under Ardern's leadership, the New Zealand Bill of Rights was breached. Police were given authority to enter homes without a warrant,' he said. 'Courts found aspects of her government's pandemic response unlawful. None of this gets mentioned during her international interviews.' 'The vaccine rollout became a symbol of coercion. Many lined up not out of trust in the science, but out of fear of losing their jobs. When asked in 2021 about creating a two-tier society, Ardern replied, “That is what it is”.' 'Those words should never be forgotten. Nor should the rules that followed, rules that restricted movement, participation, and access to basic services, all sold under the soft message of kindness.' The Royal Commission of Inquiry is looking into the nation's Covid response with a final report due next year, and Ms Ardern's lockdowns and vaccine mandates are still fresh in the minds of many New Zealanders... Lynch said Ms Ardern was squarely to blame for dividing the nation. 'But if Jacinda Ardern writes another memoir, a more appropriate title might be The Authoritarian: How I Left New Zealand Divided and in a Mess,' he said. 'Her defenders often cry misogyny when she is criticised. 'Yes, women in politics face abuse. That does not mean all criticism is sexist. Where were those defenders when women on the political right were vilified? Nowhere. Because the issue was never gender. It was ideology. 'For all the praise overseas, she knows her standing here is unresolved.' As for why Labour fell out of favour with New Zealand voters just two years after a landslide win, University of Auckland Politics and International Relations expert Grant Duncan offered his reasoning. He pointed to prolonged lockdowns in Auckland in 2021, strict border closures, managed isolation facilities, and vaccine mandates as key factors. 'The Ardern government’s initial success in dealing with Covid-19 turned into a headwind as a prolonged lockdown in Auckland in 2021, border closures, MIQ facilities and vaccine mandates became increasingly irritating, if not infuriating, for many people – and not just for the extreme anti-vaxxers,' he said. Economic pressures also played a role."
