Why Approving Pending Facebook Posts Can Put Your Group In Danger

Facebook group admins and moderators need to be careful when approving posts, whether when post approval is turned on, or if posts are automatically put by Facebook in "pending approvals" or "potential spam".

If a post approved by an admin or mod gets zucced, it puts the group in danger.

This is not like the "no reporting" superstition, where many groups have a rule about no reporting because they think it will get the group zucced (reporting to Facebook and reporting to admins is different anyway, and admins and mods have no way of knowing about the former, but I digress).

Here is how Facebook views zuccs and their implications on the Facebook groups they happen in:

If group members get zucced, "Groups aren't penalised" when it's "without admin approval" and this doesn't hurt the Facebook group.

However, if admins create or even approve posts that then get zucced, that "can put the group at risk for restrictions", e.g. getting zucced.

As can be seen from this series, the zucc can be unpredictable and heavy-handed, so even if admins only approve innocuous posts, this could lead to serious consequences for the group.
