A picture of a dad in flannel drinking a beer at Texas Roadhouse also reads as right wing. Right wing is both cool, hip and metropolitan, and down to earth, older, mature, and working class. This is how you know that conservatism is culturally ascendant. We run the gamut. The only pictures that read as left wing are those of ugly, fat, mentally ill, dysfunctional, friend-less weirdos."

New York Mag Called Out For Cropping Black Partygoers Out of Cover Image - "New York magazine is on the defensive over its most recent issue’s cover, which paints a picture of an all-white celebration in Washington, D.C. on the eve of President Donald Trump’s inauguration but was revealed to have been cropped to cut out several Black attendees at the event.   This week, the cover of New York features a candid crowd shot taken at the Power 30 Awards, which according to a Reuters report, was an inauguration celebration for Trump that handed out awards to social media influencers who aided in his reelection. TikTok sponsored the event just as it resumed operations following Trump’s declaration that we would delay banning the app. The issue’s lead article, by Brock Colyar, is headlined “The Cruel Kids’ Table” which is emblazoned on the cover with a lead-in reading: “Out late with the young right as they contemplate cultural domination.” Cropped out of that image of schmoozing TikTok influencers celebrating amid an open bar at Sax Restaurant and Lounge in downtown Washington on the Sunday night before Trump’s second term began was the evening’s Black co-host, CJ Pearson... the reporter states a woman turned to them to ask if they’d noticed that “[the] entire room is white.” Pearson replied to Barnard’s X post to complain about his erasure from the cover, the false angle of the article and the fact that rapper Waka Flocka Flame and pro boxer Gervonta Davis, who are Black, were both in attendance at the event on Jan. 19.   “This is insane,” he wrote. “I hosted this event and @NYMag intentionally left me out of their story because it would have undermined their narrative that MAGA is some racist cult. They also didn’t include the fact that @WakaFlocka and @Gervontaa were also there. You don’t hate the liberal media enough.”  However, the New York article does indicate that Waka Flocka Flame performed, but does not mention that he is Black.  Pearson then posted several photos of Black attendees at the pre-inauguration party, writing of the so-called all-white affair: “I guess none of these black people got the memo?”   Other black attendees included former Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones, PragerU’s Xaviaer DuRousseau, among others, according to the New York Post. DuRousseau is quoted in the story but his race is not mentioned when the author introduces him as a “28-year-old conservative influencer.”"

crazy eighty ape on X - "In college, I identified as a Marxist. Coming from a background of poverty, I felt wronged by the system and government. I sought an ideology that matched my emotional state at the time. I was stuck, unable to fully grasp the importance of responsibility and hard work. Professors only reinforced my delusions.   Consequently, I grew to resent every aspect of American culture, viewing it as inherently exploitative. I saw myself as a perpetual victim. The academic environment cultivated this sense of grievance. This was twenty years before the rise of microaggressions, safe spaces, and cancel culture. I’m thankful my period of ideological indoctrination occurred before the age of iPhones and social media.   These platforms amplify propaganda, creating a feedback loop that radicalizes impressionable minds. Gender ideology, rooted in Marxism, aims to undermine our foundational values. It is corrosive. Its ability to metastasize on college campuses stems from the emotional instability of the students. We must fight it on all fronts."

I CHOOSE to be a lesbian and that was the best decision of my life!  Renate Klein, Mission Beach, August 2024"
This won't stop left wingers claiming no one chooses to be gay and pretending not to understand that people can "choose to be straight" in the same way that non-criminals "choose" not to commit crimes

Asda Loses Key UK Court Ruling in £1.2 Billion Equal Pay Contest : r/unitedkingdom - "You do understand that those warehouse workers won't be affected if someone you personally feel doesn't deserve a decent wage gets one?  And those checkouts and storerooms are freezing. There are shelf stackers working overnight, and 24-hour supermarkets have store staff 24 hours. And customers are awful.  I'm so tired of you petty arseholes who want everyone to have the worst life possible or be punished."
"So let's pay people in warehouses the same as people who manage the store. It's not like that would affect the salaries of people managing the store. In fact, we can just find the highest salary paid to anyone in the UK, and pay everyone that.  How could you be that economically short-sighted?"

The Rise of the Single Woke (and Young, Democratic) Female - "LinkedIn  Soccer Moms are giving way to Single Woke Females – the new “SWFs” – as one of the most potent voting blocs in American politics.    Unmarried women without children have been moving toward the Democratic Party for several years, but the 2022 midterms may have been their electoral coming-out party as they proved the chief break on the predicted Republican wave. While married men and women as well as unmarried men broke for the GOP, CNN exit polls found that 68% of unmarried women voted for Democrats.   The Supreme Court’s August decision overturning Roe v. Wade was certainly a special factor in the midterms, but longer-term trends show that single, childless women are joining African Americans as the Democrats’ most reliable supporters.     Their power is growing thanks to the demographic winds. The number of never married women has grown from about 20% in 1950 to over 30% in 2022, while the percentage of married women has declined from almost 70% in 1950 to under 50% today. Overall, the percentage of married households with children has declined from 37% in 1976 to 21% today...    The rise of SWFs – a twist on the personal ad abbreviation for single white female – is one of the great untold stories of American politics. Distinct from divorced women or widows, these largely Gen Z and Millennial voters share a sense of collective identity and progressive ideology that sets them apart from older women. More likely to live in urban centers and to support progressive policies, they are a driving force in the Democratic party’s and the nation’s shift to the left. One paradox, however: Democrats depend ever more on women defined in the strict biological sense while much of the party’s progressive wing embraces the blurred and flexible gender boundaries of its identity politics.    Attitudes are what most distinguish single women from other voters. An American Enterprise Institute survey shows that married men and women are far more likely than unmarried females to think women are well-treated or equally treated. As they grow in numbers, these discontented younger single women are developing something of a group consciousness. Nearly two-thirds of women under 30, for example, see what happens to other women as critical to their own lives; among women over 50, this mindset shrinks to less than half.     This perception of linked fate stands in contrast to survey results regarding single men, who report that they are increasingly disconnected from each other while women bond more closely... The key driver of these attitudes may be universities, where feminist ideology often holds powerful sway. Women now predominate on college campuses. In the late 1960s they were about 39% of college graduates; now they are about 59%.  The percentage of full-time female professors has risen dramatically; at the full professor level the percentage has grown by roughly one-third.    Women now earn more than half of advanced degrees, not only in education but health and medical sciences, and are making great strides in engineering and law. With this growth, a feminist agenda has become increasingly de rigueur in colleges. According to the  National Center for Education Statistics, the number of women’s and gender studies degrees in the United States has increased by more than 300% since 1990, and in 2015, there were more than 2,000 degrees conferred. There are widespread movements to establish women’s centers almost everywhere, even as men are abandoning college and university life in record numbers, and those who remain are hit with messaging about behavior and status from diversity, equity, and inclusion offices along with various student life offices that regularly call them toxic, aggressive, and born misogynists.    More recently, anti-family attitudes have become more pronounced. “Queer studies” often advocate replacing the “nuclear family” with some form of collectivized childrearing. Progressive groups like Black Lives Matter made their opposition to the nuclear family a part of their basic original platform, even though evidence shows family breakdown has hurt African American boys most of all... There is a clear economic divergence between married and unmarried women, if for no other reason than that two incomes provide more resources and children present different demands. There are plenty of renting couples and home-owning singles, but married people account for 77% of all homeowners, according to the Center for Politics. Married women tend also to do far better professionally and economically, and their rate of marriage has remained constant while those without spouses have declined by 15% over the past four decades, notes the Brookings Institution. Single-parent households, they find, do far worse.   This economic reality impacts political choices. Not part of an economic familial unit, they tend to look to government for help, whether for rent subsidies or direct transfers. The pitch of Democratic presidents as reflected in Barack Obama’s “Life of Julia” and Joe Biden’s “Life of Linda” – narratives that advertised the government’s cradle-to-grave assistance for women – is geared toward women who never marry, with the occasional child-raising addressed not by family resources but government transfers.   Critically, unmarried women also tend to be employed heavily in “helping professions” like medical care and teaching, an expanding field even as many traditional male jobs, particularly in manufacturing, construction, and transportation, have disappeared. Whereas high taxes and regulation pose problems in the general economy, women predominate in fields that actually benefit from more government spending. This now includes the once GOP-leaning medical profession, nurses as well as doctors who now lean Democratic. In contrast, heavily male professions like engineers, masons, and police officers tend toward the GOP... In virtually all high-income societies, high density today almost always translates into low fertility rates"
Why the left is against marriage. This could also explain why the left wants everyone to live in high density areas

Experimental and cross-cultural evidence that parenthood and parental care motives increase social conservatism - "Differences in attitudes on social issues such as abortion, immigration and sex are hugely divisive, and understanding their origins is among the most important tasks facing human behavioural sciences. Despite the clear psychological importance of parenthood and the motivation to provide care for children, researchers have only recently begun investigating their influence on social and political attitudes. Because socially conservative values ostensibly prioritize safety, stability and family values, we hypothesized that being more invested in parental care might make socially conservative policies more appealing. Studies 1 (preregistered; n = 376) and 2 (n = 1924) find novel evidence of conditional experimental effects of a parenthood prime, such that people who engaged strongly with a childcare manipulation showed an increase in social conservatism. Studies 3 (n = 2610, novel data from 10 countries) and 4 (n = 426 444, World Values Survey data) find evidence that both parenthood and parental care motivation are associated with increased social conservatism around the globe. Further, most of the positive association globally between age and social conservatism is accounted for by parenthood. These findings support the hypothesis that parenthood and parental care motivation increase social conservatism."

He would talk about literary greats and use French or Latin words, and then launch into a series of slurs and sneers before proclaiming ideas he disliked to be wrong, without really confronting them. This sort of tactic is still very common today.  Sneering is just part and parcel of modern left-wing commentary, and Gould was ones of its great popularizers.  But among those in the know, he was thought of as a popular buffoon who was bad at math."
Crémieux on X - "Gould famously claimed that Samuel Morton lied about the sizes of various skulls in his extensive collection the American Golgotha in a way that was biased in favor of Whites. So some people went and remeasured the skulls in 2011 and they found Gould wrong, Morton was accurate."

bumbadum on X - "When telling my father about college admission discrimination schemes and lawsuits he responded with "maybe its time White people aren't on top anymore, and you should be okay with that".   Back in Highschool my APUSH class was entirely about how awful White men were, all the terrible things they did, and an entire quarter on the Holocaust. Half othe APUSH exam that year was about womens suffrage and how terrible White men were.   My college had self described black panthers holding up "Kill Whitey" signs every other day, but someone put up "Its Okay to  Be White" flyer and we got a school wide email from the administration on hate speech with counseling resources linked to the bottom.  I was required to take a sociology credit to graduate, I took "Environmentalism and Sociology". In that class we had a 3 week unit on "The White Man Effect". This unit handwaved the 3rd world polution and blamed climate change on white dudes eating burgers and driving f250s (keep in mind it was obama CAFO regulations that made trucks less enviornmentally friendly).  For a global diversity credit I took a class on refugees throughout history. I had to beg my professor to do my project on the refugee crisis in the 90s from the Yugoslavia war. Meanwhile everything else was about aparthied or colonialism or the middle east.   White men are the largest group of suicide victims, in 2022 68% of suicides were white men. We don't recieve specialized counseling, we don't have specialized resources.  Conservative campus organizations like TPUSA have "Leadership Summits" for every demographic except White men. If you want to organize a White male leadership summit they shut you down.   Every demographic is overtly named in the media EXCEPT White people, and they are only named when something negative is being stated. You are a gay leftist so I know you like to give credence to "lived experiences". I was born in 2000, my parents voted for Obama twice, by the time I was in high school it was 50% white, at lunch every table was self segregated based on race. If I went to the wrong table I would get jumped. Every class and every institution has run cover for other races, has propped up every other demographic, and has intellectualized their prejudice against me and anyone that looks like me.   Every piece of media for the past 50 years has brainwashed my parents to believe that I should live a lower standard of living because of a history that every group of people on this planet has engaged in.   This has been MY ENTIRE LIFE EXPERIENCE. Your messaging sucks, your characterization is wrong, and is why every male demographic, ESPECIALLY WHITE MEN of all ages have categorically rejected your ideas for the past 12 years."

Monuments defaced as Australia Day protests ramp up

‘Unity is what stands out’: Aussies young and old reclaim our national day - "Brisbane publican Jason Hirt said the surge in support for Australia Day was partly a reaction to efforts to discredit or sideline the celebration.  “We saw Coles and Woolworths take down their Australian flags,” he said, referring to a merchandise ban the retailers tried to implement last year but backed away from in the face of public outrage.  “And I think things like that had an effect.”  Australian Restaurant and Cafe Association boss Wes Lambert said people were “voting with their stomachs” to keep Australia Day on January 26.  “It certainly is encouraging that the togetherness we are feeling on this Australia Day is translating into bums on seats in restaurants and cafes,” he said... Indian migrant Ankit and his family said they were grateful to call themselves Australian.  “We feel very proud to be in Australia because it adopted us, it’s multicultural,” he said.  “We are from India, we have also Republic Day in India – today there is Australia Day, so it’s similar.”"
