This is not a ‘student protest’ – it’s an intifada against France

This is not a ‘student protest’ – it’s an intifada against France - spiked
The teens burning schools, assaulting police and glorifying Islamist terrorists are not protesting about class sizes.

‘In the name of Allah, we can kill them all!’, screams a masked student rioter named ‘Yanis’. He was filmed standing on top of a car, gesturing to the 10 or so police officers struggling to contain a restless crowd of teenagers. His chilling cry is met with cheers and exultation from the students outside the Honoré de Balzac high school near Paris. ‘Yanis, the voice of reason’ reads the subtitle on the now viral video of the speech.

This is just one of the many unnerving scenes from what have euphemistically been dubbed the French ‘school protests’. Since 18 September, when protests broke out at a school in the Parisian banlieue of Créteil, teenagers and young adults have been engaging in some of the worst rioting the country has endured in decades. At least a third of French high schools have been closed or disrupted in some way. More than 6,000 people, overwhelmingly minors, have been arrested. Around a thousand people have been injured, three-quarters of them police officers. With the rioting showing no signs of stopping, and with more organised protests involving teachers and trade unions planned for the coming days and weeks, the unrest is certain to surpass the damage and destruction caused by comparable unrest in 2023 and 2005.

Nevertheless, the delusion persists that these are merely protests – and even ‘peaceful’ ones at that. Judging by much of the coverage, the international mainstream media might as well be broadcasting from a parallel universe. Reports from the likes of the BBC and Sky News have tended to focus on the problems in French schools, from dilapidated classrooms and packed lesson timetables to teacher absences and the hated new system for university applications. No doubt these are valid concerns that have animated many earnest students, as well as the thousands of teachers and trade unionists who have been striking in solidarity with the teenagers. But this surely cannot explain the displays of nihilism and violence that have taken over the streets.

Was it really a lack of school funding that led a masked 15-year-old in Marseille to use a lighter and an aerosol to set fire to a woman’s face? Was it frustrations over the school timetable that led some protesters to arm themselves with knives, baseball bats, Molotov cocktails and hydrochloric acid? And what of the crumbling classrooms? As French prime minister Sébastien Lecornu wryly observed in parliament this week, ‘Burning down a high school does not improve the state of high-school buildings’. Ironically, one of the first schools to go up in flames was the plush Lycée Nelson Mandela in Nantes, built at a cost of €54million as recently as 2014. Most of the rioting has taken place in and around schools in the troubled banlieues, which actually get more funding on average under the French system.

Complaints about school conditions also cannot explain why so many rioters choose to drape themselves in the flags and symbols of foreign countries – including the Algerian, Moroccan and (inevitably) Palestinian flags, often with a keffiyeh face covering. While the gilets jaunes protests of 2018 and 2019 would usually feature a sea of national and regional flags, the tricolore has been notably absent in the past few weeks’ clashes. It seems that whatever is on their passports, the racially diverse crowds are united in their rejection of French identity. French Republican values, whether they are deemed ‘oppressive’, ‘colonialist’ or ‘kafir’, are similarly treated with suspicion by the ‘new France’ of youths and second- and third-generation migrants.

Yanis’s threat to ‘kill’ the police ‘in the name of Allah’ also points to an Islamist element in this unrest. The rap song ‘M*R*H’ by Boro700 has become the unofficial anthem of the blockades. Its title refers to Mohamed Merah, the French-Algerian terrorist who murdered three unarmed soldiers, a rabbi and three children at a Jewish school, one of whom he grabbed by the hair to shoot her in the head at point-blank range. The opening lyrics reference the November 2015 Paris attacks, which killed 130 innocents, most of them at the Bataclan theatre:

‘I ain’t scared of hell, the pact’s still on, who but Allah can stop me? / Bataclan, playing dead, lie down, I’m gonna shoot you in the eye.’

A large, mixed-race group of teenage boys in the Loire Valley filmed themselves rapping along to every word. On Tuesday, a group of teens – this time all white and mostly girls – broke into the Church of St Hilaire in the Vendée, and began rapping to ‘M*R*H’ as it blared out of a portable speaker. It would be pushing it to claim that radical Islam is the main motive for these disturbances, but it is increasingly the script that young French people reach for when expressing opposition to, if not outright hatred for, their own society. As the white girls in the Catholic church chanting ‘Who but Allah can stop me?’ illustrates, that goes for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

What is unfolding in France is far more troubling, and far more existential, than a mere protest over school funding or a row over classroom sizes. This is not a demand for better ‘education’ as a route into French society, but a rejection of that society and its values. It is an intifada against French civilisation itself. The sooner France wakes up to this reality, the sooner it can begin to repair the damage.

Ri§en ☦️ on X - "I want to take a moment to address the topic that has been floating around recently following the Lindsay Clancy trial and the potentially millions of insane women supporting them. If it turns out that Lindsay Clancy, a woman who murdered her three children to death via strangulation, is judged to be not guilty, this sets a clear legal precedent that women are controlled and subject to the whims of their emotions and hormones. This is a precedent that women, particularly feminists, have been trying to argue against for damn near a century of not being true. It certainly doesn't seem to be true for ALL women, but there are always rare exceptions to the rule. If this precedent is set, it gives an irrefutable argument for repealing the 19th Amendment and restricting women's rights. But I want to take another look at something real quick and analyze why feminism and giving women too much power is damaging not just to men and women, but to soceity as a whole. Men and women are both corner stones of soceity, but they serve different roles as those cornerstones. Women bring life into the world, Men cultivate the world for life to flourish. This is a cycle for men and women to uniformly participate in. Men work to keep the infrastructure of soceity stable, safe, and secure so that life can prosper. Women bring life into the world to ensure there are more people to pass on the responsibility of the future to. By giving women more rights, more responsibility, more expectations to take on, this not only adds more unnecessary stress into their lives that they were not meant to deal with, but it also makes the role of Men more difficult as it forces men and women to compete for something they were never supposed to in the first place. Pushing women into the workplace was a ploy meant to provide the government with a second source of tax revenue, to ensure control over how many people are allowed to reproduce at once, and to break apart the nuclear family unit. Interpreting this correctly, you would see this as a necessary step to commit genocide against a group you don't like without taking violent action against them. Keep them busy, keep them apart, make them compete against each other, and if they have children, they will be too busy to care for then themselves, so have the government care for them instead and brainwash their children to serve the agenda. There is a reason why men are not the ones who give birth, and it is because we have a specific role to follow. By forcing women into the role meant for men, it not only makes's men's role more difficult, it makes women's role impossible to follow. Ever since this movement has started, it has never benefited soceity, it has only benefited the government and the corrupt lobbyists that occupy it."

Steve Mudflap McGrew’s REMASCULATE podcast on X - "If Lindsay Clancy is found innocent because hormones made her emotionally unstable, women better be very careful celebrating that verdict. Because the law loves PRECEDENT. From that day forward, every job application is going to have a new question:
“Are you currently hormonal?”
“Well, I’m a woman.”
“Thank you. I think we’ll be going in another direction.”
You can’t carry a weapon anymore. No female police officers. Sorry, but we cannot hand a loaded gun to somebody whose legal defense might eventually be, “My hormones were acting up.” No more high-stress jobs, either. No air-traffic controllers. No surgeons. No nuclear-launch codes. One bad hot flash and boom 💥 Canada is glowing. And women definitely can’t be judges. How can you decide whether somebody else is emotionally stable when your own gender just established in court that hormones can make you kill three people? No female politicians, either. You can’t be trusted to run the country if, according to your own argument, your endocrine system occasionally takes over the government. And custody hearings are going to change overnight. The judge will say, “Ordinarily, children belong with their mother. However, according to the Lindsay Clancy precedent, she may be only one hormone away from a Netflix documentary. The children go with Dad.” Dad doesn’t know their shoe sizes, the pediatrician’s name or which one is allergic to peanuts, but his testosterone has never been successfully used as an insanity defense. Feminists spent a hundred years saying women are not hysterical, irrational creatures controlled by their biology and one defense attorney walks into court and says, “Ladies and gentlemen of the jury… have you considered the uterus?” You cannot demand equal authority and then ask for discounted accountability. If women want equal rights, great. But equal rights come with equal wrongs. Otherwise, that glass ceiling is about to become a padded ceiling."

Plenty of people would view sex outside your marriage as grounds for divorce because sex is so important but call you trivial and selfish for leaving your spouse if they never have sex with you because come on its not that important."
Henry @human_exp1234: "oh it simple, it because more people that are suffering from the effects of sexless marriage is men. if women were the ones that were suffering people would view dead bedrooms as a big deal."

Threads - "Friendly reminder: the Lindsay Clancy case is three years old. In those three years, she has never claimed she didn't kill her children. Never retracted her admission. Her defense isn't arguing that she didn't do it. Her own lawyer has said multiple times that she did. But naturally, TikTok Detective Agency has reopened the case from the comfort of their living rooms because 3 days of watching viral clips makes you more qualified than the experts who've spent years on it."

Ilemona on X - "Amber Heard abused Johnny Depp repeatedly. She was not the victim. The real victims in Lindsay Clancy's trial are 3 dead children."
Accountability is misogyny.

ECLIPSE INTEL on X - "In 1954, Constance Fisher drowned her three children in a bathtub. She was committed to a mental hospital, later declared better, and released. Her husband stayed with her. They went on to have three more children. She drowned those three too. Same house. Same bathtub. Six innocent children dead. That history raises a question we should never be afraid to ask: What happens after someone who has killed their own children is released—and who pays the price if the system gets it wrong again? Now look at the debate surrounding Lindsay Clancy. Her children are the victims, yet some conversations quickly shift toward sympathy for the accused. Mental illness can be a serious factor in understanding someone’s actions. But understanding is not the same as excusing. And when children are murdered, their safety has to come first. We cannot treat the protection of vulnerable children like an experiment where society simply waits to see what happens next. If someone deliberately kills their children, the justice system must take the victims, the surviving family, and public safety seriously. Children deserve protection. Victims deserve justice. And accountability cannot disappear behind an excuse."

Ed Kemper Was Released From a Hospital After Killing - "After serial killer Edmund "Ed" Kemper murdered his first victims—his grandparents—at age 15 in 1964, he was confined to Atascadero State Hospital, one of the largest forensic mental health facilities in the world. Kemper was released on parole on his 21st birthday... Between May 1972 and April 1973, Kemper butchered five college students, a high school student, his mother and her best friend. He raped his first victim, had sexual intercourse with the bodies of his next five victims, and had sex with his mother's head. He severed the heads of all his victims except that of his mother's best friend, whom he strangled April 20, 1973 to support a made-up story that she and his mother had gone away on vacation together... So how did Kemper manage to get released on parole after shooting his grandparents in the back of their heads with a rifle? According to Dr. Alfred Rucci, the hospital's acting director at the time, it was because there are no certainties in psychiatry when it comes to predicting murder and violence by people who are considered criminally insane. "Most of this work is a matter of an educated guess," Rucci told the Los Angeles Times in May 1973."
Weird. We're told that being found not guilty by reason of insanity means you'll be locked up in a mental hospital for the rest of your life

Cannibal killer murdered again after mental care failures - "[Peter] Bryan had been admitted to a secure hospital after beating a shop assistant, Nisha Sheth, to death with a hammer in 1993. But eight years later, mental health experts decided he could live in the community under supervision.Bryan butchered a friend, Brian Cherry, while on afternoon release in spring 2004 and then strangled a fellow inmate, Richard Loudwell, two months later in Broadmoor hospital where he had been sent for the Cherry killing."

Corie Walsh, Frankfort mom accused of killing 2-year-old Barrett Walsh, is held; witnesses say she discussed Lindsay Clancy trial - "A Will County judge on Tuesday granted prosecutors' petition to keep Corie Walsh in custody pending trial as she faces first-degree murder charges in the death of her 2-year-old son, Barrett. During the hearing, 40-year-old Walsh stood in court in handcuffs and shackles, at times with her head down. Her attorneys argued that the case should not be treated as first-degree murder, contending Walsh was experiencing a psychotic episode when the child was killed... The hearing also included discussion of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Prosecutors said, "Witnesses informed the officers that the defendant had recently become very invested in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial; at the time of this occurrence, the jury was still deliberating on the matter." According to prosecutors, Walsh participated in a group chat with other mothers in which she believed Clancy's husband had killed their children but allegedly texted on the morning of the incident that she had changed her view."

Gina Milan on X - "And there it is… A Lindsay Clancy copycat just murdered her 2-year-old in Illinois and then tried to kill herself. I knew this was coming. It was only a matter of when. This country is mentally unwell and has a sick habit of idolizing people like Luigi Mangione and now Lindsay Clancy. This will keep happening if we refuse to hold people like Clancy accountable for murdering her three kids and instead turn her into a martyr because she was “depressed.” Unbelievable. Makes me sick."

Nancy Pearcey on X - "Former abortionist Abby Johnson on Lindsay Clancy: "We have become extraordinarily practiced at looking at a dead child and asking first what his or her mother was going through. And abortion taught us how to do that. For decades, the defense of abortion has depended on shifting the moral center of the story away from the human being who dies and toward the human being experiencing the crisis. The mother’s suffering becomes the justification. But suffering does not make killing good,” Johnson wrote.... Johnson argued that culture has spent more than 50 years training itself to begin with a mother’s fear, financial stress, lack of support or depression until the child’s humanity nearly disappears—first in abortion and now in cases like this one.""

Mili🌠 on X (Translated from Spanish) - "Ah, and speaking of Lindsey Clancy, this son of a thousand whores killed her two daughters and her pregnant wife COMPLETELY CONSCIOUSLY because she wanted to start her new life with her lover. You'll never see a man talk about the Watts case."
Maw on X - "Do you want to know why men don’t talk about it? Because Chris Watts is in prison. For the rest of his life. And outside of a desire to see him executed, we have no complaints about it. True crime podcaster slams '60 Minutes' Patrick Clancy sit-down - "A popular true crime podcaster complained that “60 Minutes” didn’t entertain wild conspiracy theories about Patrick Clancy after the grieving dad granted his first sit-down since his ex-wife’s trial for killing their three children ended in a mistrial. “Point blank, that is probably the worst interview I’ve seen in a long time,” Briana Whitney, a contributor for the “Crime Junkie Podcast,” blasted in a now viral TikTok video posted just moments after the CBS segment aired Sunday... Patrick Clancy has been the subject of bizarre and vicious conspiracy theories from across the “true crime” social media spectrum. Some wackos have even claimed that Lindsay Clancy didn’t actually kill her kids — despite her admission in court — and that her then-husband was responsible. Whitney, who called herself “a journalist” in the clip, apparently expected Douthat and Clancy to acknowledge such baseless allegations. “There was no questions about inconsistencies in [Patrick’s] story, no questions about why were the kids left alone, no questions on the mistrial itself, how this all went down, no question about what’s happened with the jurors ever since,” she moaned. The podcaster also complained that the interviewer failed to dig deeper into Clancy and Danis’ love story."
Stephen L. Miller on X - "I had a few podcast subscribers say that low-key our culture does not understand what true crime podcasters are doing to white women in this country, and now I believe it."

Clown World ™ 🤡 on X - "Patrick Clancy lost all three of his children and somehow the media has decided his new wife buying chicken and green beans at Whole Foods is “exclusive news.” This is getting disgusting. Leave the man and his wife alone."

Matt Walsh | Facebook - "These juror interviews are extraordinary. They are admitting openly that they disregarded the law entirely for the sake of letting Clancy off the hook. There’s no other way to read it. One juror says she originally wanted to vote guilty but changed her mind so that “Lindsay could get the help she needs.” That is a clear violation of the law. They were supposed to make a determination solely about guilt or innocence. They were not there to make sure anyone “gets help.” Another juror says she voted not guilty because the prosecution never produced “character witnesses” proving Clancy was a “bad mother.” The problem is that A) killing your children IS definitive evidence that you’re a bad mother, and B) the prosecution would not have been allowed to call those kinds of witnesses. A witness solely testifying that Clancy was a bad mother would have been purely prejudicial. So this juror acquitted because the prosecution failed to provide evidence that they weren’t allowed to provide and which would have been irrelevant anyway. Extraordinary. This same juror even admitted that it was a “fact” that Clancy “viciously killed her children.” The word vicious literally means “done maliciously and with intent.” So if that’s a fact then they were obligated to vote guilty. But they didn’t. Meanwhile another juror swooned over the defense attorney’s “entertaining” demeanor. And another one said that all of the facts of the case — “everything,” her words — “proved” that Clancy “loved her children.” Apparently strangling your children to death, in this juror’s mind, does not at all call your love for them into question. Just a collection of the most morally obtuse idiots ever assembled. Amazing."

Maryam on X - "Just to clarify: Patrick Clancy walked away with his 400k Microsoft job, the 1.7M gofundme, a life insurance payout on all 3 kids, and funds from the sale of the house, plus a new wife and a new kid, Meanwhile, Lindsay Clancy is left with no kids, no money, no house, no job, no legs, and maybe no freedom. Where PC would have paid millions for alimony / child support in divorce, he makes 4-6 million off of their deaths. Money is the root of 90% of crime, but that’s not suspicious to police?"
Sunny on X - "They're doing "it's not fair that a man walks away without having to go to jail for a crime he didn't commit, when a woman might have to go to jail for a crime she committed" Absolutely psychosis."

Matt Walsh on X - "We’ve never seen anything like this before. A man was conscripted into jury duty by the government. He performed his civic duty and followed his conscience, refusing to acquit a woman who confessed to systematically executing her three children. The defense attorney immediately launched a public smear campaign against the juror. Soon several other jurors joined the campaign. Then the media. Even the defense attorney’s wife has joined. Now they’re doxxing the man, digging into his past, contacting his family, showing up at his house. All of this both to punish him for refusing to go with their program, and to pollute any future jury pool by making it clear that anyone who votes to convict Clancy will have their life destroyed. It’s truly one of the most outrageously evil things we’ve ever seen from the Left, and that’s saying something. A direct assault on the integrity of our justice system. They are burning down every boundary and standard in their path. And doing it all for the sake of a child murdering psychopath. Unfathomable."

Outspoken Samantha | Facebook - "The family of Kailey Erhart is now concerned that the outcome of the Lindsay Clancy case could be used to help Erhart avoid first-degree murder charges. Erhart is accused of attacking her three children with a knife on August 3, 2026. Two of them - Morgan, 3, and Ava, just 5 months old - died from their injuries. Their 1-year-old brother, Colton, survived. The children’s paternal family wants her charged with murder. They believe the attack was motivated by revenge over a breakup - not postpartum mental illness. And now, after watching the enormous public and media push to excuse Lindsay Clancy’s actions on the basis of insanity, they’re understandably worried about what that could mean for their own case. This was bound to happen, and we have to put our foot down. We cannot create a new standard where a mother killing her children is automatically treated primarily as a mental-health tragedy rather than a heinous crime. Mental illness can absolutely be relevant to criminal responsibility - but that determination has to come from the evidence in each individual case, not from public sympathy or a cultural assumption that a mother who kills her children must not have been responsible for her actions, or that it's someone else's fault. Three children were attacked. Two are dead. Their family deserves to have the evidence determine what happens next, and to have a clean slate for the pursuit of justice. And the consequences could be enormous if we allow the Clancy case to set the standard for how we approach future cases involving mothers who kill their children. As we've seen over the last few weeks, there seem to be a lot of deranged women who would actually do this for attention - and they might if they think the worst that'll happen is a few years in a psych ward."

Prosecutor: She also denied any confusion or disorientation, is that correct?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And again, you described her mood as okay on that day?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And you described her as future-oriented on that day?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And then you spoke to her again on February 21st, 2023. Is that correct?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And then your last visit with her was February 22nd, 2023. Correct?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And again, she indicated she was hopeful about treatment at Spaulding ?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: She was future oriented?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And she denied suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: She denied audio hallucination, visual hallucination, and anything else of that nature?
Shah: Yes.
Prosecutor: And so, her focus at that time appeared to be her physical situation, her legal situation, and looking forward to going to Spaulding to rehab?
Shah: Yes.

This Derby, Kansas, Principal Showed Teachers a Video on White Privilege, Then Had to Apologize - "A Kansas principal was reportedly forced to apologize by the local school board for simply showing a video about white privilege to faculty members. In January, Principal Tim Hamblin shared with Derby High School staff a video from Dr. Joy DeGruy, a Black author who detailed her experiences with racism and white privilege, KMUW Wichita reported. The girls basketball team had watched the video after a racist incident in 2021, and Hamblin wanted teachers to know more about what their students had watched, according to the report. But after a complaint about the video, the principal was forced to apologize—not to the students on the basketball team, but to staff members."
Of course, if she had showed them a video opposing the left wing agenda, she'd have to resign

The Be Kind brigade should be ashamed of themselves - "Cast your mind back to February. If you remember the 2026 Bafta Film Awards ceremony that took place, it will be because John Davidson, who suffers from Tourette’s syndrome, shouted out the N-word just as two black actors, Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo, stood up to present an award. An almighty row ensued. Amid the disruption, Jordan and Lindo kept calm and carried on while host Alan Cumming explained to television viewers that people with Tourette’s have no control over their language, before adding: “We apologise if you were offended.” Afterwards, Davidson, the executive producer and inspiration behind the film I Swear, said he was “deeply mortified if anyone considers my involuntary tics to be intentional or to carry any meaning”. That should have been the end of the matter. But of course, it wasn’t... Having concluded that Davidson was not disabled but racist, what happened next was perhaps inevitable. If Davidson “can’t control the slurs he says, he should watch from a separate area, not in the main audience”, declared Allison Wiltz, who describes herself as a “Black womanist scholar with a PhD.” Demanding segregation was now legitimate, as long as those to be kept apart were disabled. Sadly, it seems as if these ignorant grievance-mongers have won. I Swear has now been nominated for seven Bafta Scotland awards while one of its stars is up for an Audience Award. Deservedly so. For those who have not seen it, the film is a powerful portrayal of Davidson’s experience living with Tourette’s in the 1980s and 90s. Only, Davidson will not be in the audience in Glasgow next month. He will be kept apart, segregated from the main event, in a room set aside just for him and a few friends and family members, where he will watch the ceremony via a video link... The irony of people misunderstanding Davidson’s condition, taking offence at his outbursts, and then excluding him from their social circle is that this is precisely the kind of behaviour he portrays in his film. I Swear shows the devastating consequences those with Tourette’s suffer as a result of their involuntary shouted profanities, verbal tics, and erratic hand movements. Far from revealing their unconscious thoughts, Tourette’s sufferers act out the things they least want to say or do. We see Davidson get told off at home, bullied at school, in trouble with the police, struggling to find a job and unable to hold down a relationship. It is no exaggeration to say that Tourette’s has made his life a misery; he deserves sympathy, not punishment. To continue the crusade against him now is cruel indeed. A further irony is that those who led the charge against Davidson, and are now presumably congratulating themselves on his planned segregation, are those who most vocally champion the importance of diversity and inclusion. Their actions reveal that not all identity groups are considered equally deserving. When it comes to hierarchies of victimhood and oppression, race trumps disability. The right of people not to hear racial slurs far outweighs the rights of people with disabilities to be included."
The "kindness", "empathy" and "tolerance" squad are remarkably cruel and vicious. Of course, many of these people proclaim that they are "neurodivergent" and thus need special treatment

Mass Debaters | Facebook - "Islamists have shown a sharp understanding of Western leftist psychology and have exploited it with considerable success. They recognise that large sections of the progressive left are driven less by consistent principle than by emotion, identity, and a hunger for moral self regard. The result is selective solidarity that advances Islamist narratives while ignoring or downplaying far bloodier realities elsewhere, and while dismissing repeated exposures of fabricated material. The left’s emotional core is a simplified story of oppressor and oppressed. Colonialism, racism, and Western power are cast as the root of almost every injustice. Islamists feed this frame by presenting themselves as the authentic voice of the downtrodden. In the Israel/ Palestine conflict they supply a ready made script of indiginous resistance. Western activists, eager to signal virtue, adopt it wholesale. Documented cases of staged or misleading footage are routinely ignored. Accounts claiming to report live from Gaza have been shown, via location data and IP tracking, to be operating from Pakistan and other distant countries. Videos have circulated in which supposed casualties rise and walk once cameras appear to stop, or in which the same children appear in repeated scenes with identical editorial errors that expose the staging. This occurs on a large scale. When famine claims were loudly promoted, then challenged by detaled figures showing the projections did not match mortality or malnutrition data, the outrage was quietly dropped rather than corrected with equal volume. The pattern serves the narrative, so inconvenient facts are sidelined. The same selectivity appears with the Iranian regime, whose repression of women, gays and dissidents draws far softer criticism than comparable systems elsewhere, and with Islamist massacres where literally thousands of innocents have been, and continue tonbe, slughtered in Nigeria and the Sahel that recieve minimal sustained attention because they do not fit the preferred story of Western guilt. This dynamic is sustained by ego and group identity. People who are egotistical and narcissistic find leftist ideology extremely enticing precisely because it allows them to grandstand about their own moral superiority while giving free rein to their inner nastiness. They can pose as compassionate champions of the oppressed in public while directing vile, aggressive rhetoric, personal attacks, and open hatred at anyone who questions the script, all without self reflection or criticism from others on the left. Look at any social media post on these topics and it becomes extremely clear who descends into the most nasty, abusive comments. It is consistently those who have adopted the ideology as a vehicle for self elevation. The grandstanding and the aggression are two sides of the same coin. Islamists and their supporters understand this weakness perfectly and exploit it to advance their own ends."

Students For Liberty | Facebook - "The field was long dominated by a myth. Postwar anthropology, inspired by Rousseau and Marx, held that "savages" were peaceful and cooperative. Violence, hierarchy, and inequality were supposed to be diseases of civilization, invented by property, colonization, and markets. Abolish those, and the natural harmony of man would return. Then a kid from rural Michigan went to check. In 1964, Napoleon Chagnon, one of twelve children from a poor family in Port Austin, traveled to the Venezuela–Brazil border. He went to live with the Yanomamö, roughly 20,000 people scattered across the Amazon rainforest, largely untouched by the state, by markets, or by modernity. He would return nearly thirty times over the next three decades. His 1968 book, Yanomamö: The Fierce People, sold nearly a million copies and was translated into fifteen languages. But this is what he actually found: Raids between villages were routine. Infanticide was common. Women were regularly abducted and traded after violent conflict. Headmen, as a rule, were killers. Chagnon mapped Yanomamö genealogies using early computer methods, learned the language, and lived inside the villages for months at a stretch. The data was not hearsay. A particular finding broke the field. In a 1988 paper in Science, Chagnon documented that the unokais, men who had killed in raids, had on average more wives and more surviving offspring than non-violent men of the same age. In a state of nature, violence was being reproductively selected for. The Rousseauian premise ran backwards. If violence, hierarchy, and inequality were what civilization produces, they should be rare where civilization is absent. Chagnon found the opposite. Where the state, the market, and modern institutions had never arrived, up to 30% of adult male deaths were violent. The men who killed were the men whose lineages survived. In the modern United States that figure is under 1%. The reaction was immediate. Marshall Sahlins, one of Chagnon's former graduate teachers at Michigan, turned on him. Terence Turner and Leslie Sponsel circulated a warning to the American Anthropological Association (AAA) describing "an anthropological heart of darkness beyond the imagining of even a Joseph Conrad, though not, perhaps, a Joseph Mengele." Salesian missionaries in the region joined the coalition. What Chagnon had found could not be answered on its merits, so the man who found it became the target instead. Then came the book that ended him. In 2000, journalist Patrick Tierney published Darkness in El Dorado. He accused Chagnon of triggering a measles epidemic through vaccine experimentation, arming rival factions to stage conflicts on film, cooking his data, and behaving as "a war criminal or even a genocidaire." The New Yorker ran Tierney's companion article the same month. Chagnon's career effectively ended before any serious investigation reached a verdict. But every serious charge eventually collapsed. The vaccine complied with WHO protocols. The measles epidemic predated Chagnon's arrival. Venezuelan physicians, the Rockefeller Foundation, the University of Michigan, the American Society of Human Genetics, and the U.S. Department of Health each investigated. Each reached the same verdict: no crime, no cover-up, no fraud. Jane Hill, who chaired the AAA's own inquiry, wrote privately that Tierney's book was "a piece of sleaze, that's all there is to it." The AAA task force issued its own report in 2002 anyway, condemning Chagnon for prioritizing his research over the Yanomamö. Raymond Hames had already resigned from the panel mid-inquiry, and Sarah Blaffer Hrdy, a National Academy of Sciences member, quit the AAA in protest. Three years later, the AAA membership voted to rescind the report. In 2012, Chagnon was elected to the National Academy of Sciences. The following year, Sahlins resigned from the Academy over it. The noble savage myth outlived the twentieth century's political movements. Today it powers the decolonial framework that dominates the humanities and much of political discourse. The claim is unchanged: violence, hierarchy, and inequality are artifacts of property, civilization, and colonization, and would vanish once those were abolished. Three decades of Chagnon's evidence showed the claim was wrong. In the absence of the institutions the utopians wanted to destroy, human beings behaved more violently than within them. The discipline that could not answer his data answered his character instead. That is what an intellectual monoculture does when evidence contradicts its premises. It goes after whoever brought the evidence."

Denying the English ethnicity exists does nothing for social cohesion - spiked - "Whether Englishness is an ethnicity or a national identity has been a hot topic online for months. How did we get here? There is no doubt that England has experienced massive forms of cultural and demographic change in recent times. When I was growing up in the 1990s and 2000s, the question of who was English was not at the forefront of British political discourse. Immigration levels were relatively low and while society was diversifying, it was doing so slowly. At that point, there was not a single city or town where the white British ethnic group was in the minority... Coming from an academic background and specialising in social cohesion, I believe that a denial of a titular ethnicity in England is not only unhelpful for community relations – it is also absurd and historically illiterate. The English date back to the Germanic tribes, such as Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Frisians, who settled in southern Britain and fused with the somewhat ‘Romanised’ Celtic Britons who had inhabited England since at least the Iron Age. These ethnic groups came collectively to be known as the Anglo-Saxons. The unification of their kingdoms under Athelstan created the sovereign state of England in 927 AD. The Anglo-Saxons forged England’s cultural, linguistic, institutional and economic development. England’s history as an established nation did not start in 1945. Nor is it a land of immigrants the way that the United States is. Anyone peddling such divisive myths is not doing the country any favours. This is not to say that Englishness should be viewed in purely racial and ancestral terms. There can be room for a civic and cultural English identity that people from different walks of life can integrate into. This should be centred on English traditions, history, ritual and custom – on personal liberty, politeness and a strong sense of fair play. We should celebrate integration success stories – where ethnic-minority people feel a deep sense of pride in being culturally attached to England and are steeped in the nation’s traditional civic life. But all of this should sit under an overarching recognition that there is an ethnic English majority. Surely, there must be one, because without it there would be no ethnic minorities?"

The Imperial War Museum is ashamed of Britain’s heroes - spiked - "The Imperial War Museum in London was founded on 5 March 1917, during the First World War. Its purpose was to ensure that the ‘efforts and sacrifices’ of soldiers from Britain and the Empire would not be lost to posterity. Today, the very same institution is abandoning this pledge. ‘Contemporary audiences’, we are told by a consultancy firm hired by the museum, no longer relate to the sacrifices of those who fought in the First and Second World Wars. As a result, the Imperial War Museum will focus on conflicts ‘within many of our visitors’ living memory’. Apparently, the heroism shown by the people of Britain in the great struggles of the 20th century has little relevance for the young. Why? Because it happened in the past. A report published to justify the rebrand draws attention to a ‘growing number of people with no connection to someone who lived through the First or Second World Wars’. It seems that those running the Imperial War Museum don’t understand what the purpose of a museum is. Visitors to the British Museum don’t have a living connection to the Elgin Marbles, the Bayeux Tapestry or the Rosetta Stone. Does that mean that these objects should be sent into storage and replaced with a decommissioned train from the London Underground? Present-day objects from ‘living memory’ are not what people go to history museums to see. The fact that many of us no longer have a direct connection with those who fought in the First and Second World Wars is the very reason why the Imperial War Museum is necessary. It is particularly important because so much of what they achieved continues to live on in our world, although we are apt to forget it. The museum is there to preserve this connection, not sever it. It is difficult to avoid the conclusion that the main motive driving this rebranding exercise is an aversion to the values that informed the museum’s founding; namely, valour, courage and patriotism. It has been evident for some time that these values have lost their meaning in the eyes of the museum’s management. The fact that those running a war museum are unable to grasp that peoples and nations go to war for a reason – to fight for something – underpins their approach to their museum’s own collections. This clearly drove its decision in 2014 to rid the museum’s atrium of serious military hardware. This exhibition, which included tanks, planes, guns and a Polaris missile – all located at the heart of the museum – had to go because apparently the management did not wish to ‘glamourise’ war. Last year, the museum shut down the Lord Ashcroft Gallery, which held the world’s largest collection of Victoria Crosses. The decision to rid the museum of its impressive collection of Victoria Crosses makes perfect sense for an institution committed to de-militarising its exhibits. After all, the Victoria Cross is the highest and most prestigious award in the British decorations system, given to those who have demonstrated ‘extreme bravery in the presence of the enemy’. For the Imperial War Museum’s management, the values symbolised by the Victoria Cross are anathema. But then this is hardly a surprise. Britain’s cultural elites as a whole all tend to see courage, patriotism and other military virtues as deeply unattractive. From their standpoint, the indifference of young people to the great wars of the early 20th century is positive. It shows that Britain is leaving behind a past they deem shameful. Indeed, it’s a past they have waged a war on, mainly through the education system. Schools and universities constantly warn young people to be wary of taking pride in their nation’s history. Moreover, they are told that many of Britain’s historical heroes – such as Winston Churchill – were not only deeply flawed characters, but hardly better than war criminals. It should not come as a shock that a recent survey showed that just six per cent of the public would fight for Britain if it faced an imminent invasion. Torn away from the achievements of their ancestors, it is not surprising that many young people find little meaning in their national story. Rather than seeing this detachment from the past as a problem, a serious museum would do its best to cultivate a sense of historical continuity. Instead of patronising young people with ‘relevant’ and ‘accessible’ exhibits, the Imperial War Museum should challenge them to take their nation’s story seriously."

Charlie Walsham on X - "It was really interesting listening to Christine Ockrent on Radio 4’s 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒕 𝑶𝒏𝒆 this lunchtime. Ockrent, one of France’s best-known broadcasters, said of the street protests there: “You have the Hamas factor, which indeed is playing in all our democracies, and even in the UK, where you have had huge demonstrations, and violent ones. And we are on the eve of the October the 7th anniversaries of the massacres in Israel. And so I think the Hamas factor has politicised this very young generation.” Sarah Montague interrupted: “You say the Hamas factor. Do you mean the pro-Palestinian factor, which is how I think it would be characterised here?” Ockrent replied: “Yes, you’re correct, but it’s factual to say the pro-Hamas, and that is fairly obvious in the various organisations that are supporting these movements.” Montague was, of course, doing her job by challenging Ockrent’s assertion. But Ockrent touched on an extremely uncomfortable truth that I don’t think the BBC, much of the progressive left or indeed large parts of the political establishment have remotely come to terms with. We have a radicalised generation of young people who have been fed a succession of ideological orthodoxies and encouraged to regard them not as arguments to be tested, but as moral truths that only bad people question. Gender identity is supposedly more meaningful than biological reality. Israel is supposedly the most evil country on earth. Western civilisation is uniquely wicked. Colonialism explains almost everything. And in the ugliest manifestation of this worldview, Hamas terrorists who murdered, raped and kidnapped civilians can somehow be recast as brave anti-colonial “resistance fighters”. No, obviously not every young person believes this nonsense. But enough do for it to have become a serious cultural and political phenomenon. And changing demographics in Britain and France are plainly part of this story. It is ridiculous to pretend otherwise. Countries can absorb enormous demographic change only if there remains sufficient agreement about the values, laws and institutions holding the country together. Importing millions of people from societies with radically different religious, cultural and political assumptions was always going to have consequences. The idea that everybody would simply arrive, adopt the prevailing liberal democratic consensus and that nothing fundamental would change was itself a kind of utopianism. Use your eyes and ears. Look at what is happening on the streets of European cities. Listen to what people are chanting. Look at the flags. Look at the glorification of people and movements whose values are profoundly hostile to the liberal societies in which their supporters are demonstrating. It is no good pretending this isn’t happening because acknowledging it makes people uncomfortable. We have a clash of cultures playing itself out on the streets of Europe. We also have a clash of realities between generations - although the insanity is certainly not confined to the young, as the Green Party has demonstrated spectacularly this week. And I see remarkably little evidence that any of this is going to improve. The question is how much worse things have to get before politicians of every political hue acknowledge the obvious: a nation cannot indefinitely function as a collection of mutually antagonistic identity groups occupying the same geographical space. Countries need borders, yes. But they also need a shared conception of citizenship. Shared institutions. Shared obligations. Shared democratic norms. And enough common values for people of radically different backgrounds to regard one another as members of the same national community. Multiculturalism without integration eventually becomes fragmentation. And when a society loses the things that bind it together, we shouldn’t be surprised when it starts coming apart."

Tyson Zahner | Facebook - "If you spend any time discussing politics or culture with progressives online, you've probably noticed a frustrating pattern. It usually doesn’t matter how much data you present, or how many facts, or how much evidence. You can walk through airtight logic step by step. But if any of that is irrefutable or uncomfortable to them, their feelings override it all. They stop arguing the topic and start diagnosing you:
"You're not willing to listen."
"You need to educate yourself."
"You have a blind spot."
"You just want to prove your point."
Thomas Sowell explained this decades ago in The Vision of the Anointed. He observed that progressives don't see political disagreements as debates between people weighing evidence and trade-offs differently. They see them as contests between the enlightened and the ignorant, the virtuous and the malevolent. If you disagree, there are only two possible explanations in their framework: you don't understand, or you don't care. The possibility that you fully understood their argument and still concluded they were wrong simply doesn't exist in their mental model. That's why the phrases are so predictable (and so common from topic to topic and even person to person). They aren't arguments. They're diagnoses. You aren't someone who examined all the evidence and simply came to a different conclusion. No, you're a patient exhibiting symptoms of ignorance or hatred. Jonathan Haidt (a progressive, himself) actually tested this. In his excellent book, The Righteous Mind, he surveyed thousands of Americans across the political spectrum and asked them to answer moral questions as if they were their political opponents. Conservatives and moderates consistently predicted how liberals would answer. Liberals were the worst at predicting how conservatives think. And the way they failed was pretty revealing. They overwhelmingly assumed conservative positions were driven by selfishness, cruelty, or ignorance rather than by genuinely different moral priorities. In other words, conservatives understand the left's arguments. The left usually cannot even accurately describe the right's arguments. And yet they're the ones telling us to "educate ourselves." Once you understand this framework, their phrases start to translate themselves:
• "Educate yourself" means "Read the sources I agree with until you reach my conclusion."
• "You just want to prove your point" means "Your facts are dismantling my position and I need you to stop."
• "You're not willing to listen" means "How could anyone possibly disagree with me or see the world differently than I do?”
• "You have a blind spot" means "I can't find your error, but you must be wrong because you disagree with me."
• "You don't want to understand" means "In my framework, understanding and agreement are the same thing."
• "It's not my job to educate you" means "I don't have a counterargument but I need to exit without admitting that."
Notice what every single one of these phrases has in common. Not one of them is an argument. Not one presents evidence. Not one identifies a specific factual error. They all treat your disagreement as a symptom to be explained rather than a position to be engaged. Which is why I’ve found the fastest way to cut through this is to simply ask one short question that forces them to apply their own standard consistently. For example, when someone called me a bigot yesterday for criticizing Islamic ideology, all I had to ask was: "Is it also bigotry to criticize Christian nationalism?" And he disappeared. He had no other choice… He either had to apply his own definition of bigotry consistently and say yes (which means he and everyone he agrees with needs to stop doing it). Or he has to say no, which means his standard is selectively applied, or go silent, which tells the audience everything they need to know. Now I want to be clear. I'm not saying every progressive engages this way. I’ve engaged with plenty of people on the left who can engage honestly and substantively. But this pattern is common enough, and predictable enough, that two of the most respected social scientists in the country (Haidt, being a progressive himself) wrote entire books about it. So if you find yourself frustrated by these kinds of responses, just recognize, they’re designed to frustrate you. These phrases don't exist to advance a conversation. They exist to end one. They give the person using them permission to walk away feeling morally superior without ever having to address the substance of what you said. Listen, I'm 100% open to having my mind changed. Bring me evidence I haven't seen. Show me data that contradicts what I've presented. Point out a logical flaw I missed. I'll engage it seriously. But telling me I need to "educate myself" as your mic drop moment before you exit (all because I weighed your argument against the evidence and found it wanting) isn't a counterargument. It's just a way for you to pretend to be superior as you surrender."

Police were lectured about Farage in Islamophobia talk - "Police officers were lectured about Nigel Farage in a publicly funded talk about Islamophobia, The Telegraph can reveal. Officers at a hate crime conference attended training sessions that compared the Reform UK leader’s opinions, specifically his doubts about young Muslims’ ability to subscribe to British values, to a racially aggravated offence. The North Yorkshire Police officers were asked to consider the “harm” done by Mr Farage, and then told that the politician would be “locked up” if he were similarly critical of Jewish people. The lecture was part of a training programme titled Project Unity, which The Telegraph understands has also been presented to students, council staff and civil servants responsible for the counter-extremism Prevent programme. It also took issue with criticism of pro-Palestine “hate marches” levelled by “people like Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick” – both Reform MPs – and concerns about Muslim integration raised by Matthew Goodwin, a former Reform parliamentary candidate. Police have been repeatedly criticised for failing to adopt a sufficiently robust stance on Islamism and anti-Semitic abuse. Last week, Policy Exchange, a Right-wing think tank, revealed that the National Association of Muslim Police had published papers defending Hamas and describing terms such as “Islamist” as Islamophobic. The Project Unity training was delivered by Abbas Najib, a former police officer and now the chief executive of Better Communities Bradford, a charity. Since 2019, the charity has received £490,000 in public funding from the National Lottery Communities Fund, including a £35,000 grant to roll out Project Unity, which covers training sessions that include “media and political narratives” and “myths and misconceptions about Islam”... Attendees were shown a 2024 interview with Mr Farage in which he warned that “growing numbers of people do not subscribe to British values”, going on to say that this cohort included Muslims and attendees of pro-Palestine marches in London. The Reform leader then cited a survey published by the Henry Jackson Society that found 46 per cent of British Muslims supported Hamas. After that, attendees were asked to “think about the relationship” between Mr Farage’s statements and a hate crime offence that took place in 2024. They were shown footage of a man racially abusing a Muslim bus driver. They were then told to “draw your own conclusions” about the Reform leader, and asked to “think about whether this commentary has any influence on something like this”... The lecture made the case that Muslim values are compatible with British values, in particular the official list pulled together under David Cameron’s government, which included a belief in democracy, the rule of law, respect and tolerance, and individual liberty. Written material that accompanied the training also claimed that women were not oppressed by the stipulations of Islam. The session also said pro-Palestine marches were “protesting genocide”, and Mr Najib complained that they were labelled “hate marches” by “mainstream, high-profile politicians” such as “Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick, Michael Gove”. One of Mr Jenrick’s most prominent interventions about the issue came before his defection to Reform. Then in the Conservative Party, Mr Jenrick raised concerns about members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, a group that hopes to establish a global caliphate, chanting “jihad, jihad” close to one of the marches in 2023... The training also defended immigration more broadly, and claimed that “Muslims, the immigrant, the brown person” were scapegoated for a flatlining economy, when it was in fact “the rich”. The training – which is targeted at authorities handling hate crimes and counter-radicalisation – can be revealed after concern about the application of the law by police forces across the UK. Earlier this year, Stephen Gray, a retired police officer, was fined for sharing posts online that were critical of Islam."

Did I accidentally spark the “New #MeToo Movement”? (On Jane Doe and her Lawyer)

Death threats are good when they push the left wing agenda

Did I accidentally spark the “New #MeToo Movement”?

Well, that’s what various media organs have been proclaiming in recent days. Hilariously.

So I guess I’ll take CNN, NYT, AFP, Reuters, and the German national broadcaster’s word for it, and hereby take credit for launching the New #MeToo Movement: #IamJaneDoe. Even though I prefer to call it the #ZombieEpstein Movement.

I apparently sparked this historic movement by doing what else — Tweeting. (Which also sparked MeToo back in the day, if memory serves, so I guess that bookends nicely.) What I tweeted was a crowd-sourced solicitation for info about the Cornell Jane Doe — a journalistic method that the NYT et al. use every single day. But me doing it in this instance has apparently changed the world forever. Lol.

Well, it worked, because I was able to journalistically verify the identity of Jane Doe, after talking to multiple people who knew her personally at Cornell and in her home town, and cross-checking this with court records, university records, sorority records, social media, and more, as well as conferring with various lawyers and fellow journalists. After publishing her identifying info on the night of October 1, I made the independent discretionary decision to take down the info shortly thereafter, not because it wasn’t 100% accurate as to Jane Doe’s identity, but because the objective I had sought to achieve had been achieved: contesting the totally fallacious, untenable premise that any sex-abuse claimant who gets thrown in a melodramatic civil action is entitled to enjoy perpetual media-bestowed anonymity, to assist in their lawyers’ sleazy tactical ploy to extract the largest possible settlement payouts. And which in the case of Cornell Jane Doe has now also triggered renewed criminal investigative activity, followed by the appointment of a Special Prosecutor — which only further strengthens the public imperative for transparency / disclosure. And then there’s the chorus of screeching politicians, NGO activists, corporate-backed “influencers,” and untold others who are out there demanding urgent legislative reforms based on the spectacular “gang rape” allegations promulgated by the anonymized complaint. Governor Kathy Hochul promptly rushed forth to endorse a punitive new “rape” law in the state of New York, to further enhance the ability of prosecutors to throw people in prison for rape stuff.

So the public interest in identifying the litigant who catalyzed all this couldn’t have been more obvious. But given the truly bonkers-level of intense vitriol around this matter, I did not want to bring any more negative attention to Jane Doe herself than was necessary, as I have no animus toward her as an individual, and wish her no harm whatsoever. I even communicated this to her directly over text on Thursday. SO I’LL REPEAT AGAIN: PLEASE DO NOT HARASS JANE DOE, HER FAMILY MEMBERS, OR ANYONE ELSE ASSOCIATED WITH HER.

Meanwhile, I’m still getting deluged with literally thousands of these “I am Jane Doe” missives, such that it would be impossible to actually read through them all, much as I would love to. Here’s one I just picked out at random...

Sandra’s message is comparatively quite mild, which I greatly appreciate. Many, many others threaten me with brutally extreme violence, such as gang rape — curiously enough — as well as murder and so on. I guess these are the fruits of the new “movement” I hilariously spawned? I don’t know, you tell me — I’m not the one who proclaimed the movement’s existence! Though yes, I’ve seen a small sample of the thousands and thousands of videos posted by women, mostly to TikTok and Instagram, in which they stare at one of my Tweets...

Typically these videos are set to the same musical score, “LABOUR” by Paris Paloma, which is a legitimately genius song I hadn’t heard before, and is now dangerously stuck in my head. So I guess that’s one upside to this whole fracas!

Another bemusement is that to underscore how journalistically anathema I am for seeking to publish information plainly in the public interest, Big Kahunas like the NYT are describing me as anything but a “journalist” — since that would ascribe me with far too much Seriousness. So instead, I am a mere “political commentator,” according to today’s important NYT update from John Leland and Emma Goldberg. This despite the NYT describing me before as a “journalist” — but, you know, whatever. USA Today says I’m a “content creator,” which I would rather gouge my eyes out than ever earnestly self-describe as. AFP says I’m simply “a man named Michael Tracey,” which I’ll admit is very funny. NJ Dot Com curses me with the title of “podcaster” — perhaps the one thing that could actually drive me to suicide, unlike the tsunami of “kill yourself” emails currently clogging my inbox. Reuters was at least gracious enough to go with “journalist,” which I so deeply appreciate. I actually just did an interview for “Reuters TV,” and it was fair/reasonable. Not sure when or if it’s coming out.

Alaina Demopoulos of The Guardian continues the subtle derogatory fun, though, and declares me a “content creator and commentator.” By which, of course, she not-so-subtly means I have forfeited my Serious Journalist Card, as I have defied “decades of established journalistic norms for reporting on alleged rape victims.” From whence do these purported “norms” arise, Alaina? Certainly not American law, since in 1971, a television reporter in Georgia reported the name of an alleged rape victim, the alleged victim sued, and eventually the Supreme Court held in Cox Broadcasting Corp. v. Cohn (1975) that any state action to prohibit or punish the publication of such information was patently unconstitutional. To the extent that media institutions choose to abide by certain self-censorship “norms,” that’s a function of ideology — namely, their dogmatic adherence to the idea that anyone who ever claims any kind of sexual victimization, and wishes for their identity to not be made public, will have their wishes eternally granted by pliable journalists. Rather than scrutinize whether these demands for secrecy have merit, or are tied to allegations with any credible substantiation, journalists instead have a sacred duty to take all secrecy demands at 100% face value, 100% of the time, and enforce a totally optional prohibition on transparency and disclosure. Even if the anonymized allegations have been orchestrated by skeevy plaintiff’s lawyers to castigate others, BY NAME OF COURSE, as perpetrators of the most heinous, reputation-destroying crimes — such as, say, “gang rape.” And subsequently use this media-enabled anonymity as leverage to extract maximum settlement $ from their well-endowed litigation targets. Don’t take my word for it, though: this is the explicitly-advertised business model of Thomas Giuffra, lawyer for Cornell Jane Doe, as found on his own website.

“Most abuse cases settle, and what a survivor is offered in a settlement depends heavily on whether the institution across the table believes the case will actually be tried if it isn’t resolved,” Giuffra writes, in hopes of soliciting new clients and therefore, of course, big-money business for himself. The idea being: if you hire Giuffra, the entities or individuals you sue will have such fear struck in their hearts, given his sterling reputation in the field and track record of success, that they will be highly incentivized to settle forthwith, and for a very generous sum. “Mr. Giuffra has recovered over $250 million on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse and sex trafficking, including a $14 million trafficking settlement,” Giuffra adds, apparently speaking in the third-person, and under a website URL that is as follows:

https://survivorsofabuseny.com/epstein-maxwell-survivor-lawyer-ny/

Which is a little too on the nose, even for me. Are you enjoying the #ZombieEpstein era yet?

I’m trying to figure out which alleged “Epstein Survivors” Giuffra actually represented, if any, and in what precise litigation. He claims explicitly to have had Epstein-related clients at some point, but I can’t find any evidence of this in the court dockets...

Whereas there’s plentiful evidence of his settlement-seeking pursuits in relation to Harvey Weinstein, Sean “Diddy” Combs, etc. So who knows. You can’t take a single thing this guy says or does at face value — he could just be bullshitting to juice Google searches. But his firm still has dedicated pages up to specifically solicit Epstein/Maxwell-related claimants, teasing salacious speculative “newsy” lawsuit hooks like “Trump’s & Clinton’s Possible Connections” [sic] and “Epstein’s Fascination with Transhumanism & Control.” He also posted a blog post of some kind under his own byline in August 2020, titled “Chasing Jeffrey Epstein Beyond the Grave,” which heralds a particularly demented suit brought in New York State by another notorious huckster firm, Merson Law, purporting to represent a slew of “Jane Does” against Epstein’s estate.

“Jane Doe XIV,” for instance, claims that “in or about 1978, and continuing for a period of time thereafter” — when this strategically anonymized litigant “was approximately thirteen years old” — “Epstein sexually assaulted, abused, battered and raped her multiple times.” There’s not a shred of evidence anywhere amongst the now-millions of publicly-available “Epstein Files” that our favorite deceased financier raped a 13-year-old domiciled in Tennessee in 1978, when he would’ve been 25 years old. Even to go all the way back to the 1970s shows Merson, applauded by Giuffra, had zero scruples about who they were enticing to throw spaghetti at the wall adorned with dollar signs. It could have easily just been another straight-up mentally ill person who never met Epstein, and maybe hallucinated something decades later, but who could still be instrumentalized by these money-grubbing lawyer syndicates to manufacture big paydays. Made all the more possible by their demands for strict anonymity, which severely limited the ability of anyone, including opposing counsel, to evaluate the claimants for bare-minimum veracity.

It’s unclear precisely what happened with these mystery Jane Does circa 2020, but a bunch of their claims ended up getting “discontinued with prejudice,” such as “Jane Doe XVII” from Missouri (???), who claimed some sort of “abuse” in 2001-2002, when “she was approximately 25 years old.” She remains comfortably anonymized, to the best of my knowledge, since her claims were dropped on November 11, 2020. Unfortunately, the lawyers for the Epstein Estate were known to settle with any wackadoodle accuser, so it’s possible the minders for this allegedly adult-victimized claimant just pivoted to some other means of financial extraction. More claims were dropped when the judge finally ruled, on April 5, 2021, that the previously operative confidentiality order was “unduly burdensome,” as the Epstein estate lawyers were supposed to be producing a “key that contains the true names and identifying information for [identified] individuals,” and the sweeping anonymity requirements then in effect would “disturb defendants’ factfinding attempts.” Subsequent to this, a bunch of the Jane Does seem to have transitioned over to the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Program, which preserved stringent anonymity. So, that probably means not one, but two Tennessee-based Jane Does who claimed to have been viciously raped by Epstein as young teens in the 1970s and 1980s, despite zero known evidence that Epstein ever even set foot in the state of Tennessee, got their sought-after monetary reward, with the Giuffra-allied lawyers of course receiving a handsome cut.

So that’s the big Epstein Survivor claim Giuffra was promoting in 2020; I would love to ask him which claimant(s) he’s represented individually, as he boasts of doing on his website. Because I’m very confident the answer would be an absolute hoot. I’m likewise very confident he was adamant about preserving any and all anonymity privileges related to these theoretical clients, ideally till the end of time, because otherwise the whole exercise would almost certainly look extremely silly, even to the most true-believing “trauma-informed” victim advocates.

By 2024, Giuffra took a detour into making stuff up about Sean “Diddy” Combs, coupled with a big media tour very similar to the one he’s currently on with respect to Cornell Jane Doe. The prior tour was to hype up the lawsuits he brought on behalf of three anonymous (male!) clients who were accusing Diddy of “rape,” and demanding that their anonymity be preserved forevermore. Giuffra’s demands for anonymization have since been rebuked over and over again by the presiding judges in these cases, and the once-anonymous Diddy claimants have been judicially “doxxed,” to use the now-popular parlance. Feel free to search “Louis Reed” AND “Diddy” for additional information.

As illustrated above, Giuffra’s desperate attempts to keep secret the identity of his Diddy Rape Accusers have been repeatedly rejected, because it’s been ruled that asserting “generic claims” of potential “physical and psychological harm,” or “embarrassment,” is wholly insufficient to override the public’s presumptive interest in transparency in the legal system. Ding ding ding.

Also see these related rulings from Judge Lewis J. Liman...

Something tells me soon enough, the “movement” I allegedly sparked is not going to be happy with how things pan out. But I will always be grateful for the role I allegedly played in this historic moment. Thank you.
