CBS Mornings on X - "If Jane Doe’s case against seven members of a Cornell University fraternity goes to trial, prosecutors will show “a mosaic,” that may include the text messages Doe sent to at least two of the fraternity members accused of sexual assault, CBS News legal analyst @CarolinePolisi says. Polisi breaks down the “textbook trauma response” Doe exhibited in some of those text messages, and what could come next as the legal process continues to play out."
Phil Holloway ✈️ on X - "I’ve personally handled countless cases of SA in various roles in the justice system. There is no such thing as a “textbook trauma response”. This is made up wording that serves as a euphemism for prior inconsistent statements"
Rich Lowry on X - "Even if you disregard all the initial text messages, you still have Jane Doe’s sworn statement *a month later* when she’s had time to process what happened and decided it was very bad, and her detailed account of the night still doesn’t include anything that constitutes sexual assault—this is the ultimate flaw in the case and most media coverage and advocacy pretend that it doesn’t exist. You can assume everything in that statement is truthful and correct, and you still don’t get a rape case."
OutspokenSamantha on X - "Jane Doe: I had sex with several men at once!
Feminists: You go girl!
Jane Doe: But I'm ashamed...
Feminists: You were raped!!"
Liz Wheeler on X - "She read on forums that she was a slut and felt ashamed. Then someone on the forum suggested she consider it sexual assault and report it. Then she was disinvited from the frat Halloween party. So, she was ashamed (she should be). She felt violated (she was, even if she consented). She was mad (about being disinvited to the party). This is key— She’s also dumb because she had zero knowledge of the definition of rape when she went to police. Regret over your horrendous behavior is not rape. She’s a double dose of dumb actually, because apparently she told police accurately about what happened (not rape, she consented), which demonstrates that her claim of rape is false. But she’s been raised in a culture where it’s only a baby if you want it to be, and boys can be girls if they feel like it, so why shouldn’t she think it’s rape if she’s decided it’s rape? Leftist ideology at work. Instead of taking responsibility for her horrendous behavior, she wants to celebrate herself as a victim. In other words, she’s being nasty and vindictive trying to whitewash her shame with false allegations. But the real story here is deep down EVERYONE involved and everyone who’s now following this case recognizes that what happened was disgusting, immoral, and sexually deviant. Which means we as a society actually do recognize that sex isn’t just a handshake, and the morality of sex can’t be reduced to just consent. God was right all along. Imagine that. Sex is holy and belongs within marriage. Otherwise, sexual depravity reigns and everyone is hurt. She should go to confession not the police station."

Thread by @JonathanTurley on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "Michael S. Roth, the president of Wesleyan University, is calling for fraternities to be forced to admit women to change the culture. It is a call that is feeding a familiar mob forming over a case before any charges or evidence is established. Many politicians, pundits, and professors are replicating what occurred in the Duke controversy and refusing to wait for any charges, let alone a conviction, in the alleged Cornell rape case. Roth notably does not call for the compelled admission of men into sororities. It is the type of virtue-signaling move that Roth has made into a virtual signature of his tenure at Wesleyan. Calling neutrality “a retreat,” Roth previously led calls for universities to reject “institutional neutrality” and officially support Kamala Harris."

05 She BRAGGED that she let the frat run a train on her.

Heather Mac Donald on X - "An unambiguous case of consensual sex. The aftermath of the Cornell group sex episode is a peerless example of the hypocrisy of the feminist movement, which proclaims the oppressiveness of any remaining traces the chivalric code. Females deliberately drink themselves blotto in order to lower their sexual inhibitions, voluntarily participate in sex, and then, after the regrets set in, deny their agency and put exclusive responsibility for their drunken encounter on their male partner, on the grounds that they are helpless to take care of themselves."
Comments (on a related post): "Yes, they basically say "women are vulnerable" to male "manipulation" and cunning and therefore, men must always be restrained around them. This literally places them as the "weaker" and lesser being of the species."
"Absolutely true, if a man is drunk but sees a women making bad decisions (like having a 3some) he is expected to take away her body automity and force her to sit in a room by herself until she understands that she is wrong and he knows her body better then she does..."
Willis Eschenbach on X - "Folks keep telling us we're supposed to "believe all women". Here is what Jane Doe told the DA in a sworn statement under penalty of perjury, immediately after the Cornell incident.
"Jane Doe’s sworn statement in November of 2024 did not allege that she was drugged against her will or gang raped. On the contrary, Jane Doe’s statement described her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual. My office obviously did not and could not have based our November 2024 decision on the allegations in a civil lawsuit that would not be filed until nearly two years later. Furthermore, I have never been contacted by Jane Doe’s attorneys. Not to inform me the original statement was inaccurate and not to ask me to reconsider our decision. Rather, I reached out to Jane Doe’s attorneys after the lawsuit was filed to understand the discrepancy between the original statement and the lawsuit’s allegations and the proper path forward in light of the lawsuit’s allegations."
The DA goes on to say:
"Jane Doe provided a six-page, single spaced, typewritten statement to the Cornell University Police Department. Jane Doe made more than twenty hand-written notations to the six-page document. The signature page of the statement contains the following language: “I have read this statement consisting of 6 pages and the facts contained herein are true and correct. I understand that making a false written statement is punishable as a class A Misdemeanor pursuant to §210.45 of the Penal Law of the State of New York.” As I explain further below, the statement – especially as it relates to the legal definition of “lack of consent” – provides a different narrative and set of facts of the events of October 19, 2024 than those alleged in the lawsuit."
OK, I believe her sworn statement … what's next? I see that Governor Hochul has decided the boys are guilty. She makes the following false claim:
"She spoke to the police. She sat for hours and told them exactly what happened to her. And according to new reports, she could not have been clearer that she was 100% confident that she had been raped. Yet, shockingly, those words never made it into the account that the Cornell police sent to prosecutors."
That is a FLAT-OUT LIE. Jane Doe signed a six-page document after making a number of hand-written notations on it and she NEVER said she was raped, much less that she was 100% confident about it. In any case, Gov. Hochul has appointed Letitia James as Special Persecutor to handle the case … so I figure it's only a matter of time until she indicts Trump as a co-conspirator. "Believe all women", indeed …"
The same people who demand "due process" for illegal immigrants, i.e. get endless appeals even though it's been proven that they have no right to be in the country, demand that the Cornell Seven be jailed without a trial despite no evidence they did anything legally wrong. Left wingers are hypocrites
