How Steve Bannon baited the American left into overplaying its hand - "the attempt to move from gay and lesbian rights to trans acceptance has become something of a trainwreck, demonstrating along the way the inherent limitations of the culture industries. In part this is due to a failure to think politically about the issues involved, and to recognize that the “ask” involved in trans acceptance differs radically from the older LGB demands. While the “leave us alone” demands enjoy considerable public support, a large number of trans activists have been making the much more intrusive demand that the entire population reconceptualize their gender identity – such that men and women who are accustomed to thinking of themselves as simply men and women must now begin to think of themselves, and in some cases introduce themselves, as cisgendered men and women. Similarly, the new politics of pronouns attempts to give a small segment of the population the power to unilaterally turn every conversation into a Stroop task, in a way that again affects the entire population. Astonishingly, many people seem to have believed that these objectives could be achieved without engaging in any of the traditional give-and-take of public debate or political contestation. In particular, the expectation seems to have been that it would be unnecessary to present arguments in support of these demands, or to respond to common objections. This strongly suggests that, somebody, somewhere, vastly overestimated the strength of their position. It may take a long time to figure out exactly how a small, unpopular minority could have persuaded itself that intolerance could be a useful weapon in its political arsenal. But part of the answer, I suspect, involves their early success in achieving outsized influence within certain elite institutions, including media corporations, and then vastly (vastly!) overestimating the effectiveness of these cultural institutions at achieving social change. Treating culture as a system of mind control, and believing that the culture industries have the power to program culture, no doubt contributed to this overestimation. Although this was the Frankfurt School thesis, there has been ample evidence for some time that it is incorrect. In reality, what the increasingly self-conscious liberal control of Hollywood has achieved is nothing but growing tide of ridicule, alienation, and backlash."

Bronwyn Millar on X - "Our child got a phone age 11, in 2020 when she was SO lonely and isolated. We'd just moved countries and the local kids were being shits. Within 10 days she "came out" trans. We didn't know WTF was going on but when the school found out they sent us for mandatory "counselling". The 2 psychs (wearing masks on zoom) spoke with such thick Cork accents we didn't understand most of it. They then asked to speak to her alone. I listened at the door. They didn't even ask about the horrible bullying the local kids had put her through, and she spent 15 mins saying "pardon" because she couldn't understand them. Then they told us she was trans and we had to affirm or she would khs. Sent us breastbinding info and sent our GP a letter telling him to refer us to the gender clinic. They put our name down for some bizarre "Big brother" type programme where an adult trans person, a total stranger, with no clinical training, was going to pick her up and take her for an ice cream so she could talk about her feelings. We of course refused, but as the Irish CPS has a horrific reputation for removing kids whose parents don't toe the line, we were deeply uneasy about all of it. We left Ireland shortly after that, returning to South Africa, where the govt does NOT trans your kids. We found out that she had been groomed online, on her phone on tiktok and other social media, lovebombed by ADULT groomers like Fuzzz99, Jacob Tobia and Jeffrey Marsh (If you think you might be trans, YOU ARE TRANS! Cut off any family that doesn't affirm the REAL you... etc). She begged for blockers and T, which we refused. We did the pronouns and the name change but were very firm that hormones etc were NOT on the table. Natural puberty hit like a freight train. She started wearing push up bras for the breasts she used to tell us she wanted amputated, nails, hair, make up became super NB. Noticing boys, falling in love with her body. She's now the MOST FEMME creature imaginable, has a long term boyfriend, is fantasising about the names she wants to call the children she told us she was never going to want. Of the 14 trans kids in the support group we joined in 2022, only ONE is still "trans" and he's a super femme, super autistic "aromantic" and "asexual" gay boy. One of the other girls now has a deep voice and facial hair and is furious at her parents for puttin her on the T she begged for - that she had said she would khs without. We have been through absolute hell. But thank the Goddess I trusted my instincts and KNEW MY CHILD. It was a trend, a gaslighting cult, an inhuman attack on the family. We were told we were bigots for daring to question any of it. Affirm, affirm, affirm was the only avenue allowed. The mothers have their voices back now and we are NOT GOING TO SHUT UP ANY LONGER."
J.K. Rowling on X - "I’ve lost count of the messages I’ve had from detransitioners, mostly girls, detailing outcomes just as bad and sometimes worse. A high proportion are abuse survivors and/or have a history of poor mental health. Now they struggle with physical issues impossible to resolve. If you’d rather chant slogans and look the other way you are complicit in this appalling scandal. It could never have happened without the support of a cultish culture that has demonised whistleblowers, hounded victims and attempted to scare the rest of us into silence."
At 14, I endured ‘gender-affirming care.’ I’ll suffer with that for the rest of my life - "I suffer from severe urological complications. If my bladder becomes too full, I experience intense pain. Sometimes I bleed. Sometimes I lose control of my bladder entirely. There have been periods of my life when I had to wear adult diapers because of the damage testosterone caused to my pelvic floor and urinary system. I also suffer from vaginal atrophy, another common but downplayed consequence of testosterone exposure in female patients. Gynecological exams routinely leave me injured and bleeding. Penetration can cause tearing. Many female detransitioners and even women who continue identifying as transgender quietly endure these same injuries, often without doctors equipped to help them. And then there is the pain most doctors barely warned me about at all. Testosterone enlarged my clitoris to the point that it constantly chafes against clothing. Five years after stopping testosterone, the pain has never subsided. I structure my wardrobe, movement, and daily life around avoiding physical discomfort. My remaining option would be an invasive corrective surgery that carries the risk of permanently destroying sexual sensation altogether. This was presented to me as healthcare. One of the hardest side effects to grapple with is what was done to my voice. Before transition, I was deeply involved with choir and theater. I won awards for my performances. My voice was not incidental to who I was — it was one of the primary ways I connected with the world. Testosterone permanently damaged it. Today, I cannot project properly. I cannot scream without pain. If I speak for too long, my throat strains and weakens. I have recurring nightmares where I am in danger but physically incapable of calling for help. That fear is not symbolic but rooted in my reality. This is before even getting to the surgical complications. At 14 years old, surgeons removed my healthy breasts. I was too young to vote, rent a car, sign legal contracts, or understand motherhood in any meaningful way, but I was somehow considered capable of consenting to irreversible bodily mutilation. The clinic specialized in “drains-free” mastectomies, a procedure associated with higher rates of nipple graft complications. Parts of my chest tissue turned black and died. I was left with open wounds and permanent nerve damage. I never became a boy. No one can change sex. But I did permanently lose the ability to breastfeed any future children I may have. That reality feels heavier as I get older. I told medical professionals about my sexual abuse. I told them when my distress began. Three separate clinicians still signed off on my transition. Not one of them paused long enough to ask the obvious questions. And the most horrifying part is that what they did to me was — and is — considered the standard of care. Why was a young girl suddenly rejecting her body after trauma? Why was psychological suffering being treated with endocrine disruption and surgery instead of intensive therapy? Why were healthy organs being removed from a child who was clearly in distress? The answer, increasingly, seems to be ideology and ideology only. Healthy children should not be sacrificed to an ideology that treats self-reported gender distress as proof that a child was born in the wrong body. No fourteen-year-old is capable of understanding sterilization, lifelong sexual dysfunction, chronic pain, or the grief of losing bodily functions they were never mature enough to value in the first place. The model of pediatric gender medicine operating in America today overwhelmingly prioritizes affirmation above caution. Children present with distress, discomfort, or confusion, and too often the medical system responds by placing them onto a fast-moving conveyor belt of hormones, surgeries and irreversible interventions. There is no meaningful long-term evidence proving these interventions are safe for adolescents. There is no reliable tracking system for detransitioners or long-term complications. There are no adequate safeguards ensuring vulnerable children receive thorough psychological evaluation before life-altering medical interventions begin. And as many of us grow older and realize we were harmed, we discover something even more devastating: almost no one in medicine knows how to help us recover. I cannot restore what doctors removed from me. I cannot recover my original voice. I cannot undo the damage done to my body. But I can tell the truth."
Clearly, this is all internalised transphobia, which is the only reason why she detransitioned
Narwitz on X - "Sam Britton’s luggage theft is still one of the weirdest & funniest political scandals of the last five years. I still chuckle at the thought of a Tanzanian lady recognizing her own handmade dress being worn by Sam. Comical degrees of karma in play. Straight from an HBO sitcom"
Narwitz on X - "Democrats, or rather the left, gave up far too much ground by not making jokes about things that very obviously should have been joked about. This entire luggage stealing scenario was rife for a South Park caricature or an SNL skit or a Daily Show reference or a Colbert opening monologue, yet it by and large went ignored by comedy shows (I don’t even think Last Week Tonight referenced it) and that only served to give territory to the right. Over ten or twelve years ago this dude’s luggage theft would have been the absolute butt of so much late night media, South Park would have rekt him, but it didn’t happen here, and we all know why, which only did a disservice to everybody, be they left or right. The hyper partisanship of late night comedy needs to end. Accept that some people are worth mocking, regardless of their identity and views. This guy isn’t the final boss of The LGBT, he doesn’t represent the entirety of the LGBT, he can and should be mocked for his actions. And by protecting him the leftwing media only shot themselves (and those they’re trying to “protect”) in the foot. So much more power could be regained if the left learned to laugh at themselves again. They used to do it!"

Real gay, lesbian, and bisexual people want NOTHING to do with this circus. We just want to be left the fuck alone. The LGB community condemns these degenerates and every organization pandering to them. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. 🖕"
Fatal Violence Against Black Transgender Women in the United States - "The epidemic of fatal violence against Black transgender women in the United States requires immediate response. We conducted secondary analyses of public databases with 229 documented acts of fatal violence against transgender women; Black transgender women accounted for 78.6%. Significantly more Black transgender women were fatally shot by a gun (p < .001) and killed younger (p = .002) than non-Black transgender women. Perpetrators were identified in 54% of cases, among whom 75% were Black cisgender men. Most Black transgender women (64.6%) had romantic/sexual relationships with the perpetrator. Findings call for violence prevention responses that reduce Black transgender women’s vulnerability to violence and engage Black cisgender men seeking intimate relationships with Black transgender women."
Time to jail white men to keep transwomen safe
Thread by @MegEBrock on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "A 78-page plan reviewed by The Daily Wire shows how the Biden administration was planning to make affirming transgenderism the national standard within child welfare services without having to pass a single law.
A $20 million grant from the Department of Health and Human Services created the Child Welfare Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression Institute (SOGIE) in August 2024. SOGIE was on track to employ a 40-person team to push transgenderism on child welfare agencies. The Biden administration first mentioned the SOGIE Institute in January 2023, when HHS announced it was looking for a contractor to help its Children’s Bureau address the “unique needs of transgender and gender diverse individuals” in child welfare systems. Biden’s Executive Order 14075 mandated the federal government “combat unlawful discrimination” and “address the significant disparities that LGBTQI+ youth face in the foster care system.” The SOGIE Institute cited this EO in its project work plan, stating it offered an “unprecedented opportunity” to make child welfare services “more responsive” to the “unique needs of [LGBTQIA2S+] youth and their families.” It called President Biden’s LGBTQ+ affirming foster carerule an “inflection point,” charging child welfare agencies to take radical action. The draft work plan outlines five years worth of initiatives, including efforts to collect data about the sexual orientation and gender identity of children in foster care, and trainings to help child welfare workers “maximize SOGIE knowledge and practice competencies.”"
SEEN in Journalism on X - "‘Darren Rigby, who sent hoax death threats to schools is jailed’ All girls’ schools were specifically targeted. Rigby ‘threatened to carry out deadly attacks supposedly in response to the treatment of ‘transwomen’’. None of this features in the coverage across outlets, despite the evidence emerging in email evidence and in court, neither does it feature in the Merseyside Police report. ‘I’m going to kill every girl and woman staff member I come across’ ‘I'm going to shoot and stab all your girls’ It’s a crime of extreme misogyny in the cause of ‘fighting trans oppression’ but any mention of ‘trans’ has been erased by the police, PA and all news outlets. In addition the BBC report hides the fact that it was a crime against women and girls."
SEEN in Journalism on X - "There’s something very, very deeply disturbing at the effort by the police and the collusion of the BBC and most outlets actively to minimise Rigby’s extreme and violent misogyny. ‘Girls’ schools’ could be in the headline. Those quotes from the threatening emails are highly newsworthy. His rage at ‘trans oppression’ is central to the story. The information contributes to pattern recognition and potential safety awareness for girls and women. This is rewriting history to a frightening degree. It’s not enough that the police have omitted all reference to women and girls as victims in the sentencing update. No one is to be allowed to remember the ‘trans link’ and put it together with these crimes of female hatred."

Labour MPs claim single-sex guidance is ‘hostile’ to trans people - "Single-sex guidance approved by the Government has created a “hostile environment” against transgender people, a group of Labour MPs has claimed. Sarah Owen, the Labour chairman of the women and equalities committee, led a dozen of her party’s MPs in publicly attacking the new transgender guidance approved by Sir Keir Starmer’s Government. The updated code of practice from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) tells businesses and public bodies to bar transgender women from using women’s toilets and changing facilities."
Police force says trans officers can use women’s lavatories - "Gwent Police, which covers south-east Wales, said trans staff were entitled to use facilities for the gender they identified as “from the first day they present as that gender”."
Nobody is above the law - unless it pushes the left wing agenda
Trans lunacy has made Australia a laughing stock - "Ever since last year’s Supreme Court ruling, Britain’s Left-wing activists have been struggling to come to terms with the confirmation that the terms “man”, “woman” and “sex” in the Equality Act refer to biological sex. In other words, men who identify as women do not become women in the eyes of the law. The judgment was a victory for common sense and reality as we’ve known it for millennia. But here in Australia, the law – in the curious case of Giggle vs Tickle – has done the opposite: it has confirmed that ideology trumps reality. Two weeks ago, the Full Federal Court (the equivalent of the UK’s Court of Appeal) upheld a claim of “deliberate discrimination” by a transgender woman who was banned from a female-only app called Giggle, which is run by businesswoman and former Hollywood screenwriter Sall Grover. The trans woman, Roxanne Tickle, made the claim based on provisions in the Australian version of the Equality Act. What we called the Sex Discrimination Act was originally enacted to enable women to participate in public life on an equal footing to men. It was also intended to protect women from discrimination, such as in workplaces when they became pregnant or when they were breastfeeding. But the Act was amended in 2013 by the government of Julia Gillard, the then prime minister, (the same Gillard of the widely feted “misogyny” speech) to remove the definitions of “man” and “woman” and instead include “gender identity” as a basis for discrimination.Ms Grover appealed the original decision, in which the male judge found in favour of Ms Tickle by ruling that if someone identifies as a woman, that is enough. In fact, he declared that “sex is changeable”. But now the Full Federal Court has upheld that view. Despite the 2013 rewording of the legislation, it was still open to the court to follow the UK in declaring that “sex” and “gender identity” are not the same and that sex-based rights must be protected, since bizarre results would follow if this were not the case. A section – 7D – of the Sex Discrimination Act still provides for special measures aimed at “achieving substantive equality between men and women”. Accordingly, the court could have rationally ruled that these special measures make sense only if woman means biological woman, since biological males (trans women) can’t be pregnant or potentially pregnant. Surely, Parliament did not intend for pregnancy protections to extend to them? The court, however, chose not to rule in favour of sanity. Now the view that a person’s gender is a matter of personal preference prevails over common sense and biology. Such a decision makes Australia the laughing stock of the world. Ms Gillard herself was heckled in Wales last week while speaking at the Hay Festival on – quelle surprise – misogyny and sexism in politics and on what it means to be a woman in public life. The heckler, who carried a sign calling Gillard a “destroyer of women’s rights”, drew the attention and support of former tennis champion Martina Navratilova, who posted on social media that the politician “deserved it”. The latest instance of the trans lunacy came last week in an exchange that went viral around the world. Anna Cody, Australia’s “Sex Discrimination Commissioner”, defended the notion that trans women face being discriminated against based on “potential pregnancy”. One is reminded of Mr Bumble’s assertion: “If the law supposes that, the law is an ass.” Women can have babies because they have a uterus. Men do not, so they cannot get pregnant. This is not discrimination. It is biology. The consequences of ideology trumping biology are dire. In Australia, if someone who looks like a man but identifies as a woman goes into a women’s toilet, it is illegal to challenge or exclude them. If the question “What is a woman?” were put to the Australian people, no doubt it would return a different answer than that put forward by bureaucrats like Ms Cody who are untethered from reality. Anyone wondering as to the reasons for the rise of parties such as Reform in Britain and One Nation in Australia needs only ask themselves how, over the last decade or more, right-of-centre parties failed to push back against this nonsense. Such pusillanimity has meant that Grover, and many brave women like her, must go to the courts to fight for something that we have known for millennia: that a woman is an adult human female. Period."
Rep. Wesley Hunt Press Office on X - "🚨 New York Democrats just voted to erase "Mother" and "Father”. Governor Kathy Hochul will be replacing "mother" with "gestating parent" and "father" with "non-gestating parent." This isn't inclusion, it's insanity. While New Yorkers battle sky-high taxes, crime, and failing schools, The state is obsessed with rewriting biology and the English language. Real parents don't need woke bureaucrats redefining them. Reject this nonsense."
As TRAs proclaim, "How does trans people existing affect you in any way?" Empathy is bad when it threatens the left wing agenda
Time to condemn non-left wingers who oppose this as wasting time caring about trivial things when there're more important things to worry about and cynically trying to create a wedge issue. Clearly, left wingers pushing this through are brave and stunning, because this is very important and showing tolerance and empathy mean you are a good human being
Benjamin Ryan on X - "There are two basic responses to the Gallup poll showing declining support for gay rights:
1. This is all because transgender activists pushed too hard and alienated the general public to LGBTQ rights in general.
2. Republicans are at fault for cynically pushing transgender issues as a wedge issue as part of a larger long-term project to undermine all LGBTQ rights.
Most people making these claims on social media seem to insist these two forces are mutually exclusive. But are they?"
Forest Romm on X - "If anything, Republicans have failed to comprehend and sufficiently amplify the level of sinister that is the “trans rights” movement. The decline in support for gay rights is the natural (and rational) consequence of a decade spent deliberately conflating a) same-sex attracted people advocating for marital rights with b) serial r*pists pretending to be women and c) “minor attracted” furry fetishists. Americans are like grizzly bears. They will generally tolerate you doing your thing in their vicinity, though they may keep a wary side-eye on you. But if you mess with their kids, all bets are off. Once the G drops the T, support will rebound."

J.K. Rowling on X - "Yes, period huts are back. Because girls just aren’t embarrassed and awkward enough about menstruation. But what happens when the trans-identified boy feels excluded from the period hut? What if he feels less of a girl? Perhaps it would be easier just to tell girls to stay home."
