This isn't because those people are evil, stupid—it's because in third world nations the primary use of politics really is for winners to give goodies to their friends and settle scores with their enemies. The competent management of infrastructure and services is secondary. So, rather then ask "how can I govern in a way that is best for the health of the nation as a whole, and whst is the best way to ensure competent management of the advanced systems that make society work?" The third worlder asks "how can I reward my friends and harm my enemies?" Again.... This is *NOT* how all politics can or should function, but it *IS* how third world politics actually functions in reality. The result is that third world immigrants bring with them a conception of politics as "a tool to help my group and to hurt other groups"..... The conception of politics in western civilization is that politics is about ordered liberty and the common good; so the role of government according to western civilization is something like "keep peace, ensure justice, instill order, and protect freedom" However.... That is a *western* way of thinking about government, that is not how government is thought about in other parts of the world. So, when people from nations that reject the western conception of politics immigrate to western nations, they bring their political ideas with them... And then they immediately begin to enangage in the same ethnocentric clan politics they grew up with, rather than adopting the western conceotion of politics that accounts for the prosperity of their new nation (America, Canada, Britain, etc). So... Unless immigrants are deliberately, and thoroughly integrated into a western understanding of how politics works and the proper role and functioning of government, they will end up bringing with them the pathological forms of social and political engagement they grew up with. This is particularly true of immigrants that come from places with dysfunctional democracies, or where tribal conflict is the dominating feature of their politics. Unless those people are told "that's not how we do things here," and get integrated into our way of thinking... They will bring "give goodies to my group and harm other groups" style politics to the west.
This is disasterous. Western democracies reject "friend/enemy" ethnocentric clan politics, and it is *BECAUSE* we reject friend/enemy group politics that western nations are succesful. Anyone who says "the central distinction of politics is between friends and enemies" is adopting the ethnocentric tribal politics of a dysfunctional third world democracy. The Friend/enemy framework is the philosophy of Rwandan tribal warfare, not Western Civilization. The only way out of this is to reject friend/enemy politics as an anti-western ideas that is also anti-civilization, and to adopt an immigration policy that disallows the formation of ethnic enclaves large enough to enact ethno-tribal politcs. As such, western nations require a policy of border control that limits immigration and throughly integrates the immigrants western nations decide to let in. Importing a sufficient number of third world immigrants and not integrating them means importing third world politics. This has nothing to do with genetics or race, it's a product of the fact that people who grow up in third world nations will understand politics through a third worls lens unless they are thoroughly integrated into a new culture and way of thinking. That only happens if... The recieiving nation has an immigration policy that prevents the formation of large ethnic enclaves which allow immigrants to avoid having sufficient contact with the surrounding society. And that means limiting immigration and a policy of requiring integration... Into the broad (not particular, no forced religious conversions) political and social norms and values of the western societies these immigrants seek to join. That's the only thing that works."

Somalis in the USA: also not a success - "Western countries are experimenting with solutions to their population aging problem. For instance, one of the countries with the worst age pyramids is Germany... Since the welfare state is effectively a Ponzi scheme that requires a constant supply of younger and larger cohorts to pay for the older cohorts' welfare, this pyramid is extremely concerning. The largest cohorts of people (ages 55-64) are close to the end of their shift and will soon join the retirees. This means starkly increased healthcare costs in the next 10 years and lower taxes. The state then has a choice of what to do: cut welfare or increase taxes. Since voters love welfare states, taxes are likely to increase. USA, on the other hand, is doing relatively fine age-wise... There are 2 reasons why USA does better. First, fertility has been much higher for decades... Unfortunately, USA is catching up, or rather down, to Germany. This probably has a lot to do with the decline in religiousness in this period... The other solution, if one cannot get citizens to reproduce their numbers (or refuse to try), is to import new people. Again, USA has a lot of immigration which helps it. Furthermore, a lot of immigration to the USA is elite migration, which is good for the economy, whereas immigration to Germany is largely "low skill" migration, which is a net cost to the economy. Anyway, what I wanted to write about today is America's growing Muslim program. Although America doesn't really need to deliberately import low skill migrants to offset their aging population, they have decided to do so anyway. In particular, let's look at Somalis. The national IQ of Somalia is about 68, and the population is about 100% Muslim. Since low IQ and Islam are the best predictors of immigrants performing poorly in Western countries, let's look at whether America has been able to work some kind of magic. First, the numbers... Somalis are curiously concentrated in 3 states, and about 40% of them live in Minnesota alone, so that's likely where the best social statistics can be found. As a comparison, here's the overall economic contribution of Somalis to the Danish economy, as estimated by the Danish government in 2023... Somalia is the worst performing group covered. Previously, the new arrivals from 'Syria' did worse, but they have been improving a bit as they learned how to live in Denmark. The average Somali costs the Danish government, and thus taxpayer, about 130k DKK per year, or about 18k USD per year. The lifetime cost is not calculated, but if they live about 75 years on average, it would be about 1.4 million USD per person (the calculation is more complicated in real life because the numbers above are not age corrected, but cover the population as it is today). Has America been able to work any magic? A glance at newspapers suggest this is not the case... Somalis are the worst educated, lowest income, had the highest rate of poverty and being uninsured, and Somalia's economy runs on migrants sending welfare money back. Finally, they are very eager to gain US citizenship, gaining it at the highest rates. Not mentioned here is that they also reproduce fast... Their fertility rate was a staggering 5.2 children per woman, only beaten by the literal Amish and ultra-orthodox Jews. Just as a comparison for the income number (household median), they are poorer than every other group listed on Wikipedia... Given all of these findings, it is no surprise that local politician Tim Walz is keen on importing more of them as part of "strong moral tradition"."

How Fraud Swamped Minnesota’s Social Services System on Tim Walz’s Watch - The New York Times - "Critics of the Walz administration say that the fraud persisted partly because state officials were fearful of alienating the Somali community in Minnesota... The episode has raised broader questions for some residents about the sustainability of Minnesota’s Scandinavian-modeled system of robust safety net programs bankrolled by high taxes. That system helped create an environment that drew immigrants to the state over many decades, including tens of thousands of Somali refugees after their country descended into civil war in the 1990s. “No one will support these programs if they continue to be riddled with fraud,” Joseph H. Thompson, the federal prosecutor who has overseen the fraud cases said in an interview. “We’re losing our way of life in Minnesota in a very real way.” The first public sign of a major problem in the state’s social services system came in 2022, when federal prosecutors began charging defendants in connection to a program aimed at feeding hungry children. Merrick B. Garland, attorney general during the Biden administration, called it the country’s largest pandemic relief fraud scheme. The prosecutors focused on a Minneapolis nonprofit organization called Feeding Our Future, which became a partner to dozens of local businesses that enrolled as feeding sites. Red flags in the meals program surfaced in the early months of the pandemic, but the money kept flowing... Feeding Our Future, the nonprofit group that was the largest provider in the pandemic program, responded with a warning. In an email, the group told the state agency that failing to promptly approve new applicants from “minority-owned businesses” would result in a lawsuit featuring accusations of racism that would be “sprawled across the news.” Feeding Our Future later sued the agency, which continued reimbursing claims and approving new sites in the months that followed... “There is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue might cause political backlash among the Somali community, which is a core voting bloc” for Democrats, said Mr. Magan, who is among the few prominent figures in the Somali community to speak about the fraud. As a trial in the meals fraud case was coming to a close last summer, an attempt to bribe a juror included an explicit insinuation about racism, prosecutors said. Here, the government fines you if you don't do yours properly." I don't think Americans understand just how pervasive, and debilitating, corruption is in 3rd world and how central "not being openly corrupt" is to a functional society. Walking through Kenya, and Uganda, I was constantly stopped by policemen, security guards, and people pretending to be either, and told I was breaking some made up law ( like vaping on the street) and that I needed to pay them an immediate fine, or they would drag me down to the station. It got to the point, after a few days, where I would just shoot them a bird and tell them to F-off. Not the official ones with uniforms and guns -- I would lie to them and say I worked for the US embassy and we needed to go there and deal with the issue. They always dropped it then. My favorite "grift" was in Nairobi, during a protest/riot -- right after the police came in and cleared up the downtown with tear gas, I went down and out to get food, and the head of the police unit who had cleared my block, really gregarious guy, stopped me, and told me a man like myself needed company, and that he had plenty of very young beautiful women who worked for him who he could send up to my room, for a fee of course, and when I politely declined he then said there was a riot tax and which I needed to pay him immedietly and that's when I pulled out the "I work for the US embassy" thing, and he dropped it. I was walking in Kampala with a local friend when four police on motorcycles approached us, and to my disappointment, my friend turned his back, wandered into a store and left me alone to deal with them -- I ended up talking to the police for about five minutes, who wanted $400 dollars, before I pulled the "Mzungu works for the US embassy" trick and they left me (us) alone, and when I went to my friend and said, "Why in the world did you leave me alone" he said, "I would have made it worse. I've got no power with them. They won't listen to me, and if I argue they will make my life miserable. You can stop them. I can't" which made complete sense"

According to a letter sent Wednesday to Duckworth, D-Ill., U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Todd Lyons said the staffer told federal agents he was the attorney of Jose Ismeal Ayuzo Sandoval — a 40-year-old illegal immigrant previously deported four times to Mexico and who had a DUI conviction... "At approximately 1:29 p.m., an individual identified as Edward York, who according to publicly available information, is employed as a Constituent Outreach Coordinator for your Senate office, entered the field office lobby, and in a discussion with a federal officer, claimed to be Mr. Ayuzo’s attorney. Mr. York demanded to speak with his ‘client,’" the letter states. "This staff member allegedly did so to gain access to the detainee and seek his release from custody, and he accomplished it by falsifying an official Department of Homeland Security (DHS) form."... ICE said it could not verify that York was an attorney. The agency further became suspicious of the picture when they discovered a post to Facebook describing the incident. The post, put up by the Montgomery County Illinois Democrats’ page, described that a staffer had gone to a field office with a packet of documents and a release order with the intention of misrepresenting himself to law enforcement, the letter said."
