Southport killer ‘had picture of Jihadi John on his tablet’ - "The Southport attacker who killed three children at a dance class had a picture of Jihadi John on his tablet, an inquiry has heard. In an opening statement to the Southport inquiry, Nicholas Moss KC, said police found “very disturbing” images and screenshots on Axel Rudakubana’s device, including images of the Islamic State terrorist, Adolf Hitler and other pictures of graphic injuries, slavery, mistreatment of women and Nazi Germany. The inquiry at Liverpool Town Hall also heard that a teacher who worked with Rudakubana warned he could be “easily radicalised” and would be a “huge risk to others” more than three years before the Southport attack. The member of staff, who worked one on one with the then 14-year-old, expressed concerns after he posted pictures of Muammar Gaddafi on his social media... He avoided a whole life sentence because he was nine days too young. Earlier this year he allegedly attacked a prison officer at HMP Belmarsh with boiling water."
Clearly, PREVENT needs to go after the far right to keep people safe
David Atherton on X - "The Southport Inquiry heard that Axel Rudakubana had brought a knife to school 10 times, searched for school shootings in America & on Google searched for images of a “picture of a severed head”. Police sergeant Carmen Thompson, then at Prevent & Ps Thompson decided Rudakubana did not meet the threshold for a Channel referral to Channel. It's the govt programme which hopes to help vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism."
No Chance on X - "Compare and contrast: Roy Larner was forced to take anti-hate "deradicalization" course after helping stop a terror attack on London Bridge. They feared he was "anti-muslim""
Southport killer ‘saw himself as a victim’ - "She said the parents believed he had taken the knife to school as a response to being bullied. “He saw himself and his parents saw him as the victim of the incident rather than the perpetrator,” she told the inquiry. She said Rudakubana was the “most unusual” pupil she had experienced during her career. In a statement, she said: “There was a sinister undertone and it was difficult to build rapport. He had no respect for authority and generally a lack of respect of other pupils and staff. “He was insistent that his views alone were correct and everyone else was wrong. There was never any sense of remorse or accountability for his actions.”... Ms Hodson said his parents were of the view he was a “good boy” who never did anything wrong and that “any issues were someone else’s fault”. But she said that from January 2021 she had concerns Rudakubana’s father may have been fearful of him and had lost control of his son. She said school staff, who made three referrals about him to the Government’s anti-terror programme Prevent, were concerned about him attacking his peers"
Clearly, this shows that he was a victim and that we need to help "victims" and "minorities" more to prevent future attacks. This is why more needs to be down to crack down on the "far right", because they are inciting future terrorist attacks. They need to be charged as accessories to terrorist attacks
Paul Embery on X - "The headteacher of Axel Rudakubana's former school has told the public inquiry into the Southport murders that she described his behaviour as "sinister" in an official document, but came under pressure to remove the word. "I was told my attitude towards risk around him was because I perceived him to be a black boy with a knife, they thought I was racially profiling him." This revelation is worthy of an inquiry on its own. Did a massacre of children occur because people in authority were worried about "racially profiling" a dangerous black boy?"
Anti-racism kills
One cope could be that this shows that the system was biased against him which was why he killed those children and it was a self fulfilling prophecy
Headteacher removed word 'sinister' from Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's education plan after mental health workers accused her of racially profiling 'a black boy with a knife' : r/uknews - "How can multiculturalism work if this is what happens when two demographics interface with each other? People really need to drop the fear around the word racist, especially when it comes to security. I remember the Manchester Arena security being afraid of profiling the guy that bombed a bunch of children. Then there's the grooming gangs that weren't addressed for the same reason. The word racist is equivalent to blasphemer or heretic in the modern age."
Headteacher removed word 'sinister' from Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's education plan after mental health workers accused her of racially profiling 'a black boy with a knife' : r/uknews - " It's ridiculous how criticism of someone who isn't white can far too often be labelled as some sort of racist attack. I know cases where employees were terrible at their job, often didn't turn up for work, but claimed racism whenever their managers tried to call them up on this. It's a sign of an unintelligent anti-critical society. "
"Absolutely true story. A transwoman colleague once flashed her tits at me on a 1-1 video call. We were disagreeing over some entirely unrelated point. Literally and sincerely *the* most masculine power-move anybody has ever played on me in any context. The look said it all, "who's going to believe you?". Absolutely mental. Didn't have the wherewithal in the moment to take a screenshot, and then the conversation just literally continued like nothing happened. There was in that moment an interesting revelation. If a female colleague even *claimed* I did something similar to her, the presumptions would be in a different place. This is not, by the way, a claim that all gender-dysphoric people are crazy, just that theres always going to be a bit of overlap (as there would be for any non-exclusive groups) and there is a kind of soft power right now in being in a protected group."
Headteacher removed word 'sinister' from Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's education plan after mental health workers accused her of racially profiling 'a black boy with a knife' : r/uknews - "I work in the civil service and told the story recently on reddit of how a colleague who isn't british kept her job after following people home from work, was stalking their social media and generally being a creep. I told it that this person basically kept their job after it went to a tribunal (admittedly the wrong word but I didn't know the correct phrasing for a hearing that determines your future employment) and it was decided that they can continue working for the CS due to not having an on-boarding process which accounted for their cultural needs. My comment was posted on the CS sub and then I had people saying I was racist. My comment was something along the lines of "we hire different foreign nationals and a lot of Indians and Nigerians who are shit at their jobs recounts story of stalker. As if sharing my experience working with people makes me racist."
Headteacher removed word 'sinister' from Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's education plan after mental health workers accused her of racially profiling 'a black boy with a knife' : r/uknews - "I have a non-white friend who did a photoshoot in a village in the country side. He said afterwards it was full of "old racist white people". I kinda laughed it off and asked how they were racist, he said "an old white guy came out of his house and shouted at us", I asked why and he said "because we were in his front garden"..... 😳 I said "maybe it was because you were in his garden", and he said "nah, I bet if we were white he wouldn't have minded." Like WTF. This way of viewing the world is going to destroy our society eventually."
Headteacher removed word 'sinister' from Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's education plan after mental health workers accused her of racially profiling 'a black boy with a knife' : r/uknews - "The Daily Mail do love winding up the easily angered."
"You think this is something people shouldn't be angry about?"
"I have no idea if what happened is being accurately portrayed in this article and even if it is would the inclusion of one word on a report card have saved those little girl's lives?"
"So don't watch, read or comment on any news story ever then, as you don't know what's accurately reported or not."
If the Daily Mail says the earth is round, that means it's flat
Headteacher removed word 'sinister' from Southport killer Axel Rudakubana's education plan after mental health workers accused her of racially profiling 'a black boy with a knife' : r/uknews - "If three little girls getting stabbed to death isn't sinister, what is?"
"This isn’t the point. It would be a bit like going to the opticians and them listing how many cavities you have in your mouth on your eye examination report. The Daily Mail is misrepresenting this small detail and it’s having the intended effect on its audience. No one is disputing that the child was sinister. The only dispute is that the word was used in a place that was rather unusual and unhelpful. This detail did not interfere with the school’s ability to raise their concerns about the student. If you read the article beyond the ragebait title you’d realise that the school were aware that the child had brought knives into schools in the past and that they had reported the student to MI5 three times. The reports were rejected each time on the grounds that MI5 didn’t believe the issue was serious enough. Additionally, the murders were performed over two years after the killer stopped attending the school. An education report for them would have been nothing more than an archived document. But please pull out your pitchforks for wokeness or whatever you call it. Definitely not systematic failings by an organisation that was alerted to the killer’s concerning behaviour multiple times."
Left wingers missing the point that the whole culture of political correctness was why he was allowed to go on his murder spree and the removal of the word "sinister" is just one symptom of the wokeness. He's not the only left winger defending this of course
Plan for Southport killer removed references to his anger, inquiry told - "A care plan for the Southport killer that warned he could be "cold and calculating" and was "angry" when things went wrong was watered down... Repeated references to Axel Rudakubana's "perceived sense of injustice" were removed and replaced after discussions with his parents... The inquiry also heard that Rudakubana did not attend school for two years, but when the school attempted to remove him from the roll, his family objected saying it would affect their benefits... One note saying Rudakubana "does not like perceived injustice" from 6 May 2021 was deleted and replaced by: "Axel has a good sense of right and wrong, but requires support to work through scenarios where an injustice may have occurred." A report from The Acorns School in March 2020 stating that Rudakubana was "unable to let go of any form of perceived injustice" was also deleted. The original report also stated: "There are concerns of occasions where Axel would say and do things which have been described as sinister, inappropriate." That sentence was deleted along with a line which stated: "Axel can also appear to be cold and calculating." Another line that Rudakubana can have difficulty managing when things go wrong and "then becomes very angry" was also deleted... They were aware he had been excluded from Range High School, Formby, for taking a knife into class, but did not access his records about incidents at The Acorns. Lucy McLoughlin, then deputy head teacher, said Presfield were "not knowingly aware of any risks posed" by Rudakubana, and were "looking at him through the lens of a vulnerable child". "This view was wrong, as I accept that professional curiosity was narrowed," she said."
Clearly, it is unprofessional for a report to accurately describe a student as "stigma" is the source of all problems
Southport killer's teacher 'dreaded' what he might do - "A teacher at a specialist school where the Southport killer was sent after he was expelled told an inquiry how she had a "visceral sense of dread" he would use a knife in school... Ms Hodson, who is now head teacher at the Ormskirk school, said: "I felt like something was going to happen and there was a level of agitation with direct challenges to staff, the way he was with other pupils. "I felt like every day it was building and building and building."... Ms Hodson described a "memorable" first admissions meeting with him at The Acorns when she asked why he had carried a knife in his former school. She said: "He looked me in the eyes and said 'to use it'. "This is the only time in my career that a pupil has said this to me or behaved in a manner so devoid of any remorse. "What also surprised me was that [his] parents did not flinch at this comment." Ms Hodson said his parents appeared to believe he had taken the knife in to school as a response to being bullied... in December 2019, while he was enrolled at The Acorns, he returned to the Range school and attacked another student with a hockey stick - while also carrying a knife in a backpack... Ms Hodson said she had "very significant" concerns about the risk he would pose to other pupils and staff if he returned. However, she felt resistance from other agencies, and said: "I felt they all took a step back and passed the risk to us, their solution was 'you've got to take him back'. "The police peeled away, social services said they didn't think there was a risk, and we were literally left holding the baby.""
Southport killer's dad told school he was 'good boy' - inquiry told - "Mr Rudakubana said the school had taken "the shortcut option" of blaming the victim... Mr McGarry said when the knife was put on his desk after the police had been called, Rudakubana "didn't seem very concerned about it". "There was no sense of shock. I found his reaction quite bizarre. It was quite matter of fact," he said. Earlier, the inquiry heard a mental health assessment carried out six days before the attack, which found the killer posed no risk to others, had been "wholly inappropriate and wrong". It was told the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) had overly focused on the risk Rudakubana, then 17, posed to himself rather than to others. Tina Irani, an independent consultant child and adolescent forensic psychiatrist, said the assessments were "not adequate"... By that stage, a number of agencies were aware that he had taken a knife to school and had attacked a fellow pupil with a hockey stick."
Southport killer ‘ranted to social services about Taliban’ - "After the meeting at Rudakubana’s family home, one of the social workers speculated that the teenager was at risk of becoming a Left-wing extremist... “He was showing no criticism of the Taliban and comparing them to the situation of the US and saying it was unfair?”... The inquiry has heard Rudakubana was referred to the Government’s ant-terror programme Prevent on three occasions, with the cases closed every time, but was not referred following this discussion."
Are “White People” Morally Deviant? - "1. About 6 in 10 Americans believe (at least somewhat) that Native Americans lived in peace and harmony until Europeans arrived. Survey participants identifying as Black, those identifying as “very liberal,” those with some college education, and those under the age of 25 (“GenZ”) were
most likely to agree (see Figs. 1-4).
2. About 4 in 10 Americans believe (at least somewhat) that racial minorities in the U.S. have no hope for success because of racism. Survey participants identifying as “very liberal,” those identifying as Black, those with a high school diploma and those under the age of 25 (“GenZ”) were most likely to agree (see Figs. 5-8).
3. About a third of Americans believe (at least somewhat) that white people have more to be ashamed of than other racial groups. Survey participants identifying as Black, those identifying as “very liberal,” those with some college education, and those under the age of 25 (“GenZ”) were most likely to agree (see Figs. 9-12)."
Someone claimed that 99% of people knew that Native Americans weren't peaceful
EXCLUSIVE: Grade 9 poster says “white-body supremacy” is a “virus” in Ontario - "“All of our bodies are infected by the virus of white-body supremacy.” That’s the message printed on a large classroom poster displayed in a Grade 9 English class at Heart Lake Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario. The poster, quoting American author Resmaa Menakem, goes on to claim the “virus” was “created by human beings in 1691 in the laboratory of the Virginia Assembly” and that it remains “in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the institutions that govern us, and in the social contracts under which we live.” While the 1691 Virginia Assembly is an important part of early American colonial history, the event has no direct connection to Canada. That “white-body supremacy” was “created” in Virginia reflects American historical discourse, not applicable to Canadian legal or historical realities. A recent study by the Aristotle Foundation for Public Policy challenged the growing use of American slavery narratives in Canadian education, noting that slavery in Canada was neither race-based nor comparable in scale or intent to the U.S. system. The report warned that importing American racial frameworks distorts Canadian history and fosters division rather than understanding. Similar language was expressed at this spring’s Elementary Teachers of Toronto anti-black racism conference. In a session called “Decolonizing Whiteness in parent / teacher interactions,” Toronto District School Board employee Michelle Munroe said “[whiteness] permeates everything we do, everywhere we go, what we think, what we eat, how we dress.” The poster was photographed by Lisa Turnbull, a parent at the school, who has expressed concern over the rhetoric expressed by educators. In an interview with True North, Turnbull said her “heart sank” when she saw what was being presented to 14-year-olds as part of their English curriculum. Turnbull has previously filed a human rights complaint against the school for their use of racist terminology... Turnbull’s complaint was dismissed by the Human Rights Tribunal last year. “All I wanted was for staff to be retrained not to “eliminate” us,” she said."

This terrifying glimpse of a second Biden term shows why the Democrats are out in the cold - "The latest issue of The New Yorker features a Q&A with Jean-Pierre about her time as Joe Biden’s White House press secretary – and it’s absolutely mind-boggling. Because it so perfectly, if unwittingly, sums up why the Democrats lost. There’s the farcical refusal to acknowledge what was obviously wrong with Biden (“I did not see anything that would’ve given me concern”); the relentless obsession with identity politics (“As a black woman who is part of the LGBTQ community…”); and the insufferable combination of self-regard and self-pity (“There are many black women who feel this. We are the backbone of the party. We are on the front lines, and when it comes time to elevate us, or hear us, acknowledge our voice, we are largely ignored”). Most extraordinary of all, though, is that Jean-Pierre has now quit the Democrats because she thinks they’re not woke enough. Or, in her words, “I do not feel seen in the party because I think they’re throwing the LGBTQ community under the bus. They’re not fighting enough for migrants.” What on earth can you say? Other than that, as with pretty much everything else, she’s wrong – because the Dems actually remain as out of touch as ever. Just the other day, Gavin Newsom, the Democrat governor of California, claimed: “All this anti-woke stuff is just anti-black.” Then Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the millennial Left’s favourite Dem congressperson, publicly ridiculed a female swimmer for daring to suggest that trans women – i.e. males – should be barred from women’s races (“Maybe if you channelled all this anger into swimming faster you wouldn’t have come in fifth”). Meanwhile, the Dems’ Zohran Mamdani is standing for the New York mayoralty on a pledge to raise taxes in “richer and whiter neighbourhoods”. Yes, he could have just said “richer neighbourhoods”, but for some reason he felt he absolutely had to say “whiter” as well. Will any of the above be enough to win back Jean-Pierre? I don’t know. But what I do know is that this week a Guardian columnist declared Mamdani to be “the future of the Democratic Party”. If so, the Republicans will hold the White House for decades to come."
Labour council creates guide to exposing history of ‘white male oppressors’ - "A London Labour council has created a guide to dealing with statues of “white male oppressors”. Camden council, which covers Sir Keir Starmer’s constituency of Holborn and St Pancras, is reviewing memorials to historical figures, including those who may have privately held “discriminatory ideas”, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. The authority has now produced a “toolkit” for assessing and reinterpreting statues that reinforce “white, male dominance over the people”. The best practice guidance has been shared with key heritage and local government organisations in the UK and across Europe that are responsible for public memorials, including the Greater London Authority, Arts Council England, English Heritage and Historic England. ... Camden council says it aims to strip away “the white gaze of traditional memorialisation”, and has pledged instead to ensure that all public artworks and memorials are “truly inclusive and representative of our diverse and vibrant communities”... In 2023, Welsh government guidance stated that statues of “old white men” such as the Duke of Wellington and Admiral Lord Nelson could be hidden or destroyed to help set the “right historical narrative”... The Cardiff government’s “best practice” advice stated that councils could “conceal commemorations” and “discreetly box monuments or enclose them creatively in new artworks”. It also suggests that “offensive or unwanted items” could be relocated or destroyed. This guidance was introduced to help achieve the Labour pledge to create an “Anti-Racist Wales” by 2023."

CMV: A continuous failure of left wing activism, is to assume everyone already agrees with their premises : r/changemyview - "I was watching the new movie 'One Battle After Another' the other day. Firstly, I think it's phenomenal, and if you haven't seen you should. Even if you disagree with its politics it's just a well performed, well directed, human story. Without any spoilers, it's very much focused on America's crackdown on illegal immigration, and the activism against this. It highlighted something I believe is prevalent across a great deal of left leaning activism: the assumption that everyone already agrees deportations are bad. Much like the protestors opposing ICE, or threatening right wing politicians and commentators. They seem to assume everyone universally agrees with their cause. Using this example, as shocking as the image is, of armed men bursting into a peaceful (albeit illegal) home and dragging residents away in the middle of the night. Even when I've seen vox pop interviews with residents, many seem to have mixed emotions. Angry at the violence and terror of it. But grateful that what are often criminal gangs are being removed. Rather than rally against ICE, it seems the left need to take a step back and address:
1. Whether current levels of illegal mmigration are acceptable.
2. If they are not, what they would propose to reduce this.
This can be transferred to almost any left wing protest I've seen. Climate activists seem to assume people are already on board with their doomsday scenarios. Pro life or pro gun control again seem to assume they are standing up for a majority. To be clear, my cmv has nothing to do with whether ICE's tactics are reasonable or not. It's to do with efficacy of activism. My argument is the left need to go back to the drawing board and spend more time convincing people there is an issue with these policies. Rather than assuming there is already universal condemnation, that's what will swing elections and change policy. CMV."
CMV: Bill Burr's going to perform in Saudi is the height of hypocrisy and makes his whole shtick obnoxious. : r/changemyview - "Basically what the title says. In recent years a huge amount of Bill Burr's comedy has basically been "punching up" against billionaires, oppressive conservatism and autocracy. Now he's going to perform in a country who's ruling class is the living embodiment of all those things, taken to their worst form. They cut up and murder journalists, execute their own citizens with zero due process, treat women like cattle and treat workers like subhuman slaves. He doesn't need the money. It's not as if he's going to starve or even face discomfort. His defence of "oh it's no worse about human rights than other countries where I perform" is amazingly weak because.
1. His event in Saudi is explicitly funded by the royal family as part of an initiative to whitewash the regime's image.
2. It's a lie. Saudi Arabia's slavery, treatment of women and brutal slaughter of press are far beyond most countries.
To me it seems cut and dry that he's basically an obnoxious hypocrite undermining his own bit but I'm curious to hear out reasons why that might not be the case.
