Links - 28th July 2025 (2 - Hamas Attack Oct 2023)

Eyal Yakoby on X - "The BBC has quietly walked back its outrageous claim that “14,000 babies will die in the next 48 hours.” In reality, that number referred to a full year—if absolutely nothing changes. But by now, the lie has already gone viral. Such shameful reporting."
Time to bash the Daily Mail and the Telegraph for being fake news again

Hillel Fuld on X - "Out of all the morally bankrupt absurdities the world accuses Israel of, and the list is long, the best one has to be that Israel is committing genocide and starving Gaza when Hamas can literally end the war in a split second at which point endless humanitarian aid would enter Gaza. Release the hostages and lay down your weapons and bam! The war ends. It’s mind boggling to me that literally a single world leader is demanding that Israel end the war instead of simply saving, “Hamas, release the innocent women and children that you kidnapped and tortured for a year and a half so that the war can end and the destruction can stop.” On what planet, in what universe does it make any sense whatsoever that Israel is being told to the end the war and not Hamas? It’s beyond absurd."

UN walks back 14,000 Gaza baby death claim after backlash - "The United Nations has backtracked on a widely reported claim made by its humanitarian chief, Tom Fletcher, that 14,000 babies in Gaza could die within 48 hours if aid didn’t reach them, a figure now confirmed to reflect a longer-term estimate.Speaking to the BBC on Tuesday, Fletcher had said: “There are 14,000 babies that will die in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them,” citing stalled aid trucks at the border carrying baby food and nutritional supplements. When asked how he arrived at that number, Fletcher responded that “strong teams on the ground” were assessing the humanitarian situation from medical centres and schools. However, the BBC later confirmed that the figure was based on an Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report that estimated around 14,100 cases of severe acute malnutrition among children aged six to 59 months over a year-long period, from April 2025 to March 2026. The report did not suggest that these children would die within 48 hours... Despite the clarification, Fletcher’s original statement sparked international concern and was cited by at least nine UK Members of Parliament... Fletcher also rejected Israel’s new plan to direct aid through a designated “Hamas-free” zone in southern Gaza, calling it a “dodgy modality.”"
Of course, terrorism supporters are still bandying this fake number around

Hamas demands changes to Steve Witkoff's new Gaza hostage deal proposal
Weird. We keep being told that Israel is the one who keeps rejecting ceasefire proposals, or that Hamas keeps agreeing to ceasefires which agree to everything the US proposes

Avi Benlolo: Hamas thanks Liberals again. It should be a national wake up call - "This marks the second instance where Hamas has openly praised Canada’s stance. When a terrorist organization applauds your foreign policy — not once, but twice — that should trigger a serious moral reckoning. Even more troubling, after it was revealed that several UNRWA staff were complicit in the October 7 massacre, Canada didn’t cut back funding to the agency. The government increased it. What does that say about our moral compass? Are we so determined to appear “neutral” that we’re willing to reward those tied to terror? This is not a matter of foreign policy nuance. This is a question of moral clarity. Hamas — an organization committed to Israel’s destruction — welcomed the joint Western statement describing it as a “an important step” in the right direction. Why? Because it lets them off the hook. Why release the hostages or stop fighting if even the West is behind us? The Canadian and friends statement contained no demand for Hamas to disarm and to stop firing rockets. There was no appeal to Qatar or other regional powers to pressure Hamas to lay down its arms — instead, the statement expressed support for their efforts. The blame — once again — was placed squarely on Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. That double standard is antisemitism, plain and simple. Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney amplified this misguided posture with sharp rhetoric, and Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand added fuel to the fire by falsely accusing Israel of weaponizing food, citing unverified and inflated casualty statistics — without once acknowledging Hamas’s role in provoking and perpetuating this war. Let’s remember: this war began with the slaughter of innocent civilians by Hamas. Israel has a right — and an obligation — to defend itself. And yet, our government, instead of standing with the victims, appears to be echoing the demands of their killers... Jewish students are being spat on at universities. Families are harassed while walking to synagogue. Hate crimes are rising. Rather than protecting Canadians, our leaders are giving oxygen to narratives that incite hate and violence."

UNRWA Kidnapped Her Son Into Gaza: Explosive Testimony at UNHRC - "UN Watch statement to United Nations Human Rights Council, 7 March 2025, delivered by Ayelet Samerano:
“Mr. Rapporteur, in your report, you claim the reputation of UNRWA is ‘under attack.’ I speak today as a mother. My son, Yonatan, 21 years old, was shot on October 7th. Then an UNRWA social worker kidnapped him. Right now, Yonatan is still held by terrorists in Gaza. So I know what an attack is. An attack is when terrorists, including UNRWA employees like Mohammad Abu Ittiwi, enter a music festival, and murder innocent, young people. An attack is when a UN *SOCIAL WORKER*, paid by this organization, kidnaps my son into Gaza. A person who took upon himself to do good — yet did evil. No, UNRWA is not under attack. UNRWA is the attacker. An UNRWA teacher held 84-year-old Ditza Heiman captive. Terrorists held Emily Damari captive — in an UNRWA building. UNRWA’s entire infrastructure has helped Hamas murder our children. You talk about human rights. What about Yonatan’s rights? What about the hostages still suffering in Gaza, right now? Mr. Rapporteur, your report says UNRWA was ‘affected severely by deaths of its staff.’ Does this include the UNRWA worker who kidnapped my Yonatan? Mr. Rapporteur, I ask you, I ask the United Nations: Where is my son?”""

Teacher suspended for months after holding minute’s silence for Gaza victims - "A teacher in France has been suspended for nearly two months after holding a minute’s silence for Gaza victims in her class. The physics and chemistry teacher at the Janot-Curie high school in Sens, Yens, was told by the local education authority that she failed to respect the principle of neutrality"

Israel raises alert for travellers to Canada, warning of ‘increased threat’

COGAT accuses UN aid chief of 'libel' for claiming 10,000 aid trucks sat at Gaza border - "Israel accused the UN's Tom Fletcher of "libel" for a second time, after the relief chief claimed there are "10,000 [aid] trucks on the [Gaza] border right now, cleared and ready to go," in a CNN interview on Monday. "We've got 10,000 trucks on the border right now, cleared, ready to go, and we'll do everything to get them in and save lives," Fletcher told CNN's Christine Amanpour. When Amanpour repeated the number back to him incredulously, Fletcher nodded and replied, "full of food." Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) retweeted the video, saying, "Look, it's @UNReliefChief with another libelous lie." "There are no 10 thousand trucks waiting to go into Gaza. What there are, are hundreds of trucks' worth of aid the UN hasn't picked up from the Gazan side over the last few days, after we gave you plenty of routes you can use to safely distribute the aid throughout the entire Gaza." This comes less than a week after Fletcher told the BBC that 14,000 Gazan babies would die within the next 48 hours unless aid reached them. “There are five trucks just sitting on the other side of the border right now,” he said last Tuesday. “They have not reached the communities they need to reach. This is baby food, baby nutrition. There are 14,000 babies that will die in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them.” The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) later retracted the claim when asked to verify by the BBC, saying it was rather about "the imperative of getting supplies in to save an estimated 14,000 babies suffering from severe acute malnutrition in Gaza.""
Terrorist supporters just gullibly believe everything that makes Israel look bad. Even after the UN and BBC had admitted that the 14,000 babies were a lie, they were still repeating it and dismissing corrections as being biased

‘Jim Crow Jewish supremacists’: Union leader faces complaint over anti-Israel posts - "Prier used his sockpuppet account to comment on an article shared in the “CanadaPublicServants” Reddit community in which he was quoted speaking about the need for unions to divest from Tesla. Reddit moderators identified Prier — a federal economist with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada — after they were alerted to suspicious behaviour in the forum, pinning a note to the post explaining that his fake account was “deleted after Mr. Prier was challenged on his deception.”... “Zios trying to weaponize DEI language to shill for a rape and torture state is very funny btw,” he wrote a few days later. The following day, he responded to one pro-Israel user: “I’ll say Jim Crow Jewish supremacists from now on, which more accurately describes you.”... “The fact that he is using a hidden identity speaks to (a) lack of transparency at a minimum, but also to a completely unacceptable level of dishonesty for someone in such an important position. In brief, if accountability has any meaning, Nathan Prier should resign from his position.” Luffman remains hopeful her complaint will trigger an external investigation, but sees Prier’s behaviour as part of a troubling pattern within CAPE, the country’s third-largest federal public service union representing over 20,000 members. In November 2023, Prier’s predecessor, Camille Awada, resigned after anti-Israel social media posts he allegedly made years earlier began circulating among union members. “The European Zionists are the true Aryan race. They look down at the world as if we are cattle. Israel is the illegitimate Zionist terrorist apartheid state that is the root of all evil!” Awada reportedly wrote on Facebook in January 2019. A few days earlier, he reportedly referred to Israel as that “illegitimate Zionist lunatic terrorist apartheid state.”"

Two Israeli Embassy staffers shot dead outside D.C.'s Capital Jewish Museum - "Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim had spent the evening at an event dedicated to bringing together war-torn and politically divided regions of the world when a man with a gun killed the soon-to-be engaged Israeli Embassy staffers... The American Jewish Committee had been hosting an event at the Capital Jewish Museum aimed at bridge-building in the Middle East and North Africa... Police identified the suspect in the shooting as Elias Rodriguez of Chicago. When he was handcuffed and being escorted by police, he shouted, “Free, free Palestine.” Smith said Rodriguez “implied” he committed the shooting and told authorities where to find the weapon used in the shooting."
This is a great illustration of what 'globalising the Intifada' means. Of course terrorism supporters are rejoicing
If you murder people working for peace, you're not interested in it
I was told this must necessarily be anti-Semitic because of the venue. By that interpretation, the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler Pennsylvania was a rejection of populism, since it's in the rust belt
Left wingers love to go on about how Charlottesville means we need to jail all "Nazis" (i.e. anyone to the right of Stalin), but even though this killed twice as many people and was a lot more recent than 8 years ago, they will ignore this

Washington DC shooting live updates: Man charged with first degree murder of Israeli embassy staff - "A court document filed by the FBI says that Elias Rodriguez told officers on the scene of the shooting: "I did it for Palestine, I did it for Gaza, I am unarmed." The affidavit from an FBI agent says the suspect "spontaneously" said this to police officers while holding a red scarf identified by one witness as a keffiyeh - a type of scarf which is a symbol of Palestinian identity."
It's only incitement when it threatens the left wing agenda

Opinion: The embassy murders — some stakeholders are more equal than others - "The same companies that flooded social media with solemn art, diversity pledges and emotionally charged tributes when George Floyd was murdered, a Muslim family was run over in London, Ont., and Pride parades came under threat, this time chose silence. Exposed to real-world moral pressure, stakeholder capitalism fractured, revealing its selective and fragile nature. The stakeholder model promised companies they could deliver social good by balancing the interests of employees, customers, communities and causes. Activists and consultants sold boards on corporate virtue with a competitive upside: speak on social issues, take moral positions, and “do well by doing good.” Boards bought in. Social commitments multiplied. HR departments became ministries of the culture. But now, after Jewish blood has been spilled on American pavement, they are largely silent Their inability to calculate a reputational return in speaking out reveals the stakeholder model’s moral void. What seems not to have occurred to boards that embraced the role of moral narrators is that two stakeholder groups could have diverging interests and ethical demands. In these moments, stakeholder capitalism’s balancing act fails. It was not designed to handle competing moral claims in a world where different victims generate different media traction... Throughout history the Jewish people have always been small in numbers. Today, that means they will not often have the critical mass to attract corporate sympathy... if a model collapses when its founding principles conflict, it was never a model worth following. Corporate moralism must be either consistent or absent"
Left wing morality is highly selective

Suspect posed as a gardener in Boulder attack and planned to kill all in group he called 'Zionist' - "A man posing as a gardener to get close to a group in Boulder holding their weekly demonstration for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza planned to kill them all with Molotov cocktails... he had second thoughts and only threw two out of the 18 incendiary devices he had into the group of about 20 people, yelling “Free Palestine” and accidentally burning himself, police said. Twelve people were injured in the Sunday attack. He had gas in a backpack sprayer but told investigators he didn’t spray it on anyone but himself “because he had planned on dying.”... Mohamad Sabry Soliman, 45, planned the attack for more than a year and specifically targeted what he described as a “Zionist group,” authorities said in court papers charging him with a federal hate crime. The suspect’s first name also was spelled Mohammed in some court documents... An FBI affidavit says Soliman confessed to the attack after being taken into custody Sunday and told the police he was driven by a desire “to kill all Zionist people,” a reference to the movement to establish and protect a Jewish state in Israel... The burst of violence at the popular Pearl Street pedestrian mall in downtown Boulder unfolded against the backdrop of a war between Israel and Hamas that continues to inflame global tensions and has contributed to a spike in antisemitic violence in the United States. The attack happened on the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot and barely a week after a man who also yelled “Free Palestine” was charged with fatally shooting two Israeli embassy staffers outside a Jewish museum in Washington... Soliman said he dressed up like gardener with an orange vest in order to get as close to the group as possible, even purchasing flowers from Home Depot... “He stated that he had been planning the attack for a year and was waiting until after his daughter graduated to conduct the attack,” the affidavit says. Soliman also told investigators he took a concealed carry class and tried to buy a gun but was denied because he is not a legal U.S. citizen... Soliman was living in the U.S. illegally after entering the country in August 2022 on a B2 visa that expired in February 2023, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a post on the social platform X. McLaughlin said Soliman filed for asylum in September 2022 and was granted a work authorization in March 2023 that had expired"
As we know, since it's not anti-Semitic, there's nothing wrong with killing "Zionists", which is just natural since it is "Resistance"

Friends actor warns Jewish people ‘the cavalry ain’t coming’ after Colorado flamethrower attack - "[Michael] Rapaport, who is Jewish, said, “I don’t think I have felt scared since October 7,” referring to Hamas’ deadly attack on Israel in 2023. The actor said that he has spoken out for other groups in their time of need, but now no one is supporting him and his fellow Jewish and Zionist people. “I put a f***ing black square [on social media] like a f***ing a****** during Black Lives Matter. Don’t you feel like an a****** now? For putting up a black square during Black Lives Matter when nobody is coming and saying anything on our behalf.” Rapaport said that he’s been traveling all over the U.S. and in Israel as an outspoken supporter of Israel for the last “500 days.” “All the time people go, ‘Why isn’t anyone saying anything … Do you feel ignored, do you feel alienated?’ Yes, yes, yes,” he said. The actor continued: “I’m telling you something, Jewish people, the cavalry ain't coming. The cavalry is not coming for us. They don’t give a f***.” “It’s sad, it’s frustrating. You feel used. You feel manipulated. You feel like a sucker. I feel like it, too!” he added."
Left wing "solidarity" is highly contingent, and only for "minorities"

FBI, DHS warn of 'elevated threat' to Jewish community in new PSA
Kosher🎗 on X - "I don’t know what to say. The FBI just posted this. This is a first time in history announcement by the FBI. Governments around the world have done the same in the past few weeks. Does that not tell you that this a serious issue that shouldn’t be batted away and shouted down? Do you reckon people like Piers Morgan and others still won’t admit that there is a link between the daily Hamas-fed lies in the headlines being accepted as truth, and Jews in the diaspora being hurt or harmed? Or will these people shout “Bullshit” over the person trying to explain the process to them from the ground in Gaza all the way to the BBC spewing it to people who are easily manipulated and finally to the Holocaust victim being firebombed? Admit there is a problem and open your ears to Jewish community trying to explain what they are going through. We will always have your back too. I promise. Always. We know we are the canaries in the coal mine. We know this is an anti-west movement and we are the first to get hit. Let’s work together against the hate. We just want this hatred to be acknowledged so something can be done."

Thread by @EFischberger on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "Some good old-fashioned blood libel-ing from the New York Times. This is a masterclass of dishonest, agenda-driven journalism, even for the Times. Let's break down the disinformation, and some of the authors' questionable resumés 🧵
Firstly, the headline — which is all 90% of readers ever see before scrolling past — states as fact that Israel opened fire on hungry Palestinians. But buried in the article is the qualifier that the deaths were “according to Gazan health officials” — meaning Hamas. And here, they call the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation “Israeli-backed” — even though it’s backed by the U.S. as well, and is chaired by an American. Why? To frame it as a sinister Israeli plot to murder Palestinians. The authors claim the UN hasn’t found evidence of Hamas diverting aid. This ignores the overwhelming footage of Hamas gunmen seizing aid trucks, stockpiles found in Hamas warehouses, and confirmations from multiple international observers.
Now here's where it gets really grotesque. They quote a "freelance journalist" named Mohanad Keshta at several points in the piece. Here is Mohanad Keshta's Facebook page. Here’s Mohanad Keshta, on October 7, posting a photo of newly abducted Israeli hostage Dafna Elyakim with the caption: “We missed out — may God bless the one who got it.” The implication is vile, with clear sexual undertones: he envies the terrorist who took her. Mohanad Keshta is also quite enthusiastic about a July 4, 2023 terror attack, in which a Palestinian rammed and stabbed civilians in Tel Aviv—killing a pregnant woman's unborn baby and injuring nine.
Now to the NYT journalists behind the piece. The lead author — presumably, since her byline comes first — has written for Al Jazeera, worked with the PFLP-linked group Forensic Architecture, and spent nearly 2.5 years at Airwars. Airwars are amateurs at best, and Hamas shills at worst. I mean, this is pathetic stuff. Some "investigators" they are. Another one of the authors, Nader Ibrahim, posted this back in the day. I don't even know what the hell this is. He's also posted disgusting lies courtesy of the Nazi-adjacent Electronic Intifada website. And there it is. To sum up:
🔸️The headline states as fact that Israel massacred Palestinians at an aid site — a claim so detached from reality it borders on libel.
🔸️The article repeatedly cites “health authorities” without disclosing they’re part of Hamas.
🔸️It falsely claims there’s no evidence of Hamas diverting aid and misrepresents the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
🔸️It quotes a so-called “freelance journalist” who joked about sexually assaulting an Israeli hostage and openly supports terrorism.
🔸️At least two of the co-authors have backgrounds and track records that should render them unfit to write articles about the Israel-Hamas War."
Meanwhile, terrorism supporters claim the NYT is biased, because it doesn't explicitly celebrate the death of Jews

Iddo Moed: False narratives about Israel have violent consequences - "when I woke up Sunday morning to headlines from nearly every major Canadian media outlet — except National Post — about an alleged incident at a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid hub in Rafah, I was immediately concerned. This war has shown us, time and again, how Hamas manipulates facts on the ground, creating stories of atrocities that either didn’t happen or happened in a very different way. The media often amplifies these claims uncritically, and by the time the truth emerges, the damage is done. The most egregious example came just weeks after the October 7 massacre. The Hamas-run Palestinian Health Ministry claimed an Israeli airstrike had killed hundreds at Al-Ahli Hospital. Israel immediately launched an investigation — but the media didn’t wait. The story exploded across front pages and screens around the world. By the time the investigation revealed that the explosion was caused by a Palestinian rocket, which was confirmed by the Canadian Forces Intelligence Command, millions were misled. Worse, some politicians — including Canada’s own foreign affairs minister at the time — rushed to condemn Israel before the facts were known. In the case of Sunday’s reports out of Rafah, we’re already seeing the familiar pattern unfold. By Monday, the BBC issued a correction, noting that the video initially used to implicate the Israeli military in alleged shootings was actually filmed at a different location and at an entirely different time. Rather than rushing to publish unverified claims, the media should be asking a more pressing question: why is Hamas so eager to spread this lie? The answer can be found in what’s happening on the ground. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is beginning to shift the dynamic. It’s getting food and aid directly to civilians — bypassing the usual pattern of supplies being siphoned off by Hamas or rerouted through compromised international agencies. For Hamas, this is a threat not just to its control but to its entire narrative. But the damage caused by these false reports doesn’t stop at distorting the public’s view of the conflict. It also endangers lives beyond the Middle East."
This is why left wingers hate the National Post so much - it doesn't repeat left wing lies
Only the right are capable of inciting violence
