"There used to be a real me, but I had it surgically removed." - Peter Sellers

Goodness. Seems there's a "privilege" list for almost everything.

(everything traditionally privileged, at any rate)

I already knew about the empty knapsacks of Straight "Privilege" and White "Privilege", but this takes things to a whole new level:

A List Of Privilege Lists

"White Privilege: Unpacking The Invisible Knapsack
Able-Bodied Privilege
Average Sized Person Privilege
Being Poor Is…
The Black Male Privileges Checklist
Christian Privilege
The Costs of American Privilege
Daily Effects of Straight Priviliege
Heterosexual Privilege
The Invisibility of Class Privilege
The Male Privilege Checklist
Non-Poor Privilege Checklist
Non-Trans Privilege Checklist
Privilege to Game
Social Class Privilege – Beyond Ethnicity, Gender, and Religion

"Privilege to Game" sounded the most bizarre of the lot.

Apparently computer gamers are also "privileged". Among the most novel of these "privileges" is the ability to "have an ad-free blog". But then, as the last bit of the post hints, this so-called "privilege" to game would better be called the "privilege" of being "an American, white, from a Christian family, middle-class, young, able-bodied, average-sized, and non-transexual".

Maybe someone should compile a "Privilege to not be a Paraplegic" list, and then one about the "Privilege to be Alive", so we can all continue being wracked with guilt.
