Thread by @DataRepublican on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "🧵THE UNIPARTY UNMASKED – They Believe They Are “Democracy”
The seven NGOs in the chart below, in my view, represent the Uniparty. Each of these organizations receives substantial financial support from USAID or the Department of State. Around 2019, the phrase “democracy in danger” began to dominate public discourse, amplified by the media. This was odd—after all, the U.S. is a democracy (or more precisely, a constitutional republic). But as I traced the influence of these NGOs, a pattern emerged: they are controlled by establishment politicians, they play a major role in shaping political narratives worldwide, and their core mission is always framed as “protecting democracy.” Originally, these NGOs were created to support U.S. democratic efforts abroad—many of them emerging during the Cold War to combat the spread of communism. But with the fall of the Soviet Union, their original purpose faded. Instead of dissolving, they redefined their mission. Now, they have positioned themselves as the guardians of democracy itself. This shift explains why Trump’s re-election was framed as a "threat to democracy." To these NGOs, “democracy” means themselves. Their survival depends on maintaining that role, and any challenge to their authority is perceived as a direct attack on democracy itself...
🟥 International Republican Institute (IRI) (EIN 521340267) – Promotes democracy by training political parties and leaders, primarily supporting U.S. foreign policy interests through a Republican-aligned lens.
🟦 National Democratic Institute (NDI) (EIN 521338892) – Advances democracy by fostering political participation and governance reforms worldwide, aligned with Democratic Party priorities.
⚖️ Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) (EIN 521943638) – A coalition of democracy-focused NGOs (IRI, NDI, IFES) that supports electoral processes, civil society, and governance reforms globally.
🗽 National Endowment for Democracy (NED) (EIN 521344831) – Acts as the primary funding hub for democracy promotion efforts worldwide, distributing U.S. government grants to NGOs supporting political and civil society development.
🗳 International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) (EIN 521527835) – Strengthens global democracy by providing technical assistance for election security, integrity, and voter participation.
📡 Internews (EIN 943027961) – Supports independent media and press freedom worldwide, shaping democratic discourse by training journalists and combating disinformation.
💰 Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) (EIN 521398742) – Promotes democracy through free-market economic policies, advocating for business-friendly governance and anti-corruption initiatives.
⚒️ Solidarity Center (EIN 472130723) – Advances democracy by supporting independent labor movements and workers' rights, often partnering with unions to promote political engagement.
Note what they all have in common? They are all dedicated to advocating democracy. And they have redefined "democracy" to mean themselves... Most of these NGOs were born during the Reagan years. While not all USAID and State Department funding flows through them, they control the purse strings for much of America’s global financial influence. DEI initiatives created a system of unaccountability and dependency, which ended up injecting more money into them and further entrenches their power. They see any challenge to their authority as a threat to democracy itself. But their greatest enemy is still the same one they've had since the Cold War—Russia. They've never lost the "Cold War" boomer mindset. In their minds, they’re the superheroes keeping America from crumbling. And that entitles them to their travel perks, cushy post-election gigs, and all the other benefits that come with running an unacknowledged empire. For new followers, here is a diagram illustrating how core NGOs collaborate to create a global soft power structure that shapes elections, public policy, economic policy, and media influence. Again, many **current** members of Congress hold positions within these taxpayer-funded NGOs... Many more NGOs operate with taxpayer funding, and you can find them using the advanced financial tool on my website. Additionally, there is a distinct category of NGOs where former politicians serve. These organizations rarely rely on small-dollar donations but instead receive large grants from Donor-Advised Funds. While these "retirement" NGOs do not receive direct taxpayer funding, they often function as platforms for paid speaking engagements or conferences with little to no real attendance. They are typically identifiable by their association with high-profile figures, vague missions, and names featuring words like "Democracy" or "Freedom." Examples include the American Security Project (EIN 204079553) and States United Democracy (EIN 861704152), both of which have many high-profile retired federal officials."

tantum on X - "It was already known that 13.4% of Americans work directly for the government. But it turns out a huge number of the 12.8M non-profit workers are also subsisting entirely off government grants, so the real total could be 24%…. and that doesn’t even include fake consultants/contractors for stuff like DEI, development aid, etc that are “for-profit” but only have a single client"

Trump aid freeze ‘may force Stonewall to cut up to half of staff’ - "Stonewall could be forced to cut up to half of its staff after President Trump’s decision to freeze foreign aid... Funding from the US came to Stonewall through the Global Equality Fund (GEF), administered by the US state department, which has given the charity more than half a million pounds in the past three years. The GEF focuses on “advancing LGBTI rights around the world” and is a pooled fund with contributions from numerous countries and private businesses, but it has not published accounts since 2015. In recent years the GEF has been Stonewall’s largest funder. Charity accounts show the GEF increased its funding for Stonewall year on year, handing over £137,254 in 2021-22, rising to £204,442 in 2022-23 and reaching £233,583 in the most recent set of accounts... Stonewall has also lost funding elsewhere. Its most recent accounts said it incurred a deficit of £858,000 in the 2023-24 financial year. This rose from £437,000 the previous year. Income from fees, for example from its Diversity Champions workplace inclusion programme, fell between 2023 and 2024, as did income from other programmes. The Times revealed last month that every major government department had left the Diversity Champions scheme after concerns about the level of influence on Whitehall’s internal policies."
No wonder left wingers hate DOGE so much. It exposes and threatens the left wing agenda in so many ways. We can blame the US for pushing trans mania in more than one way

Thread by @Jebadoo2 on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "Stonewall were never slow to baselessly accuse enemies of being in receipt of shadowy US funding, sometimes directly, sometimes via media outrunners like the Good Laugh Project. Mermaids did this too. Yet now we know the truth. This is quite serious. The effect of this funding was to distort UK political discourse at the highest levels presenting ministers with outright lies. You can see the former in the "just a bit of admin" lie re GRCs and the latter in Ruth Hunt lies about puberty blockers. It is difficult to understate just how damaging Stonewall's activism was to the cohort it was supposed to represent. For example, one phone call from Stonewall would have stopped the gruesome experiments at the Tavistock gender abattoir. When others stepped into the breach and desperately tried to protect proto gay/lesbian youth, Stonewall unleashed the hounds. Memorably so in the case of the heroic women at transgender trend.  And when it wasn't aiding and abetting modern chemical and surgical gay conversion therapy, Stonewall was relentlessly harassing lesbians via "cotton ceiling" conversion therapy chat or calling them "sexual racists". It comes to this. Stonewall faced a choice between political transvestitism and homosexuality (and lesbians in particular). It chose political transvestitism. Homosexuals were the "price worth paying" for contemporary relevance and, as it now turns out, lavish US funding. And Stonewall did all of this having promised they would not. Bev is not alone here, just about every public figure in gay politics around at the time has a similar story. We were promised there would be no T campaigning and that promise was a lie. So. Who paid the price for all this? Well, principally it was the young promised an endocrine transubstantiation and solution to their loneliness, their difference, their autism, their emergent homosexuality. They were the principal victims. And gay rights more generally paid a heavy price. Reduced to hawking modern leisure identities for sale, Stonewall now circles the drain of relevance and borders on silly. It has taken a mountain of goodwill and influence and sits a top a modern mole hill of irrelevance. And it will be remembered this way. As an disconnected aristocratic absurdity, as the indulged ruler who grew fat on US money and unhinged from reality. As the soldier who did not just abandon his post, but who joined the enemy. No gay rights activist will mourn it going."

Thread by @5149jamesli on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "🚨 BREAKING: The Trump admin is moving to shut down USAID.  And the deep state is furious. 😠  Why? Because USAID isn’t really a "humanitarian aid agency" — it’s a covert intelligence arm funding coups, protests & regime change.  Here’s a 🧵 on its worst operations:
🇨🇺 Cuba - ZunZuneo (2009-2012)  USAID built a fake Cuban Twitter called ZunZuneo, designed to lure in young users and slowly feed them anti-government content to spark protests.  It was funded in secret through shell companies. The plan collapsed when exposed in 2014.
🇻🇪 Venezuela - Funding Regime Change (2000s-Present)  USAID funneled millions to opposition groups trying to overthrow Hugo Chávez & Nicolás Maduro.  It trained activists, bankrolled anti-government media, and was linked to the failed 2002 coup against Chávez.
🇺🇦 Ukraine - USAID’s Role in the 2014 Coup  Before Euromaidan, USAID & the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) poured money into opposition groups & media.  Leaked calls showed U.S. officials handpicking Ukraine’s post-coup leaders — this wasn't about "democracy."
🇧🇴 Bolivia - Expelled for Meddling (2000s-2013)  In 2013, Evo Morales kicked USAID out after catching them funding separatist movements in Bolivia’s richest provinces.  USAID was fueling a breakaway movement to weaken Morales — classic divide-and-rule tactics.
🇭🇹 Haiti - Destabilization Through Aid (1980s-Present)  USAID helped overthrow Haiti’s elected leader Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 1991 by backing opposition groups & death squads.  His life was only saved by the intervention of U.S., French and Venezuelan diplomats.
🇦🇫 Afghanistan - The Aid-Surveillance Complex (2001-2021)  USAID wasn’t just "helping" Afghanistan — it was a front for counterinsurgency operations.  Aid workers mapped communities, collected intelligence, and helped identify Taliban sympathizers for U.S. drone strikes.
🇨🇱 Chile - Setting the Stage for Pinochet (1973)  Before Pinochet’s CIA-backed coup, USAID pumped millions into media campaigns & opposition groups against Salvador Allende.  They created economic chaos to justify the coup — then backed a brutal dictatorship.
As clearly illustrated, USAID pretends to be about "democracy" and “helping” the world.  But in reality, it was always a covert tool of U.S. power — a front for CIA-backed regime change, election meddling, and civil destabilization disguised as “humanitarian aid.”
🇺🇸 America First Foreign Policy  Marco Rubio recently in WSJ: "U.S. foreign policy has long focused on other regions while overlooking our own... That ends now."  Maybe taxpayer dollars will finally go to fixing America instead of funding foreign coups. Time will tell."

Nayib Bukele on X - "Today, the entire local opposition called for a massive demonstration against mining.  Every political party joined the call, along with 90% of all NGOs, universities, churches, and activist groups. They ran a month-long mainstream media and social media campaign, had the backing of the country’s most powerful news outlets, chose a holiday (Sunday) so no one had to work, organized preparatory events, and more.  This is what they achieved.  It’s clear there is no opposition without USAID money 😂"

Nayib Bukele on X - "Most governments don’t want USAID funds flowing into their countries because they understand where much of that money actually ends up.  While marketed as support for development, democracy, and human rights, the majority of these funds are funneled into opposition groups, NGOs with political agendas, and destabilizing movements.  At best, maybe 10% of the money reaches real projects that help people in need (there are such cases), but the rest is used to fuel dissent, finance protests, and undermine administrations that refuse to align with the globalist agenda.  Cutting this so-called aid isn’t just beneficial for the United States; it’s also a big win for the rest of the world."

Leah Libresco Sargeant on X - "“Up through last week, PEPFAR was providing HIV treatment to an estimated 680,000 pregnant women, the majority of whom are in Africa. A 90-day stoppage could lead to an estimated 136,000 babies acquiring HIV”"
Wesley Yang on X - "An odd situation where everyone takes these facts as a moral condemnation of the United States rather than of Africa
We just take for granted that a continent won't be able to prevent 130K+ babies from getting AIDS if a distant superpower pauses the flow of US tax dollars to a network of NGO's for 90 days. Maybe this fact also deserves scrutiny? Maybe the situation of total reflexive dependency is linked to this incapacity?
I'm not saying I necessarily support cutting this program or doing it in the abrupt manner it was done. I'm saying there's a lot of weird assumptions that we should probably take this moment of sudden visibility of something that was just part of the given to step back and consider. Where does the widespread contagion of HIV in African babies come from?
To say "the cause of this contagion is the removal of a US funded public health program" is an attribution error...
Throughout the Cold War the motive/pretext was holding Communism at bay.  The Blob evolved an esoteric corpus of justifications to keep the money flowing in the absence of a true ideological competitor that evolved time into Queer intersectionality that now maintains a neocolonial relation to the domestic US population as well.   It manifested its own domestic enemy in MAGA and the European populist parties in no small part to justify its own expenditures and exertions to itself. A Potemkin village micro-Cold War. Decolonization was supposed to be about independence. Neo-colonial NGO rule is a corrupt and despotic form of clientelist pseudo-governance that is being imported back into the United States. The DNC leadership race makes this vividly self-evident."
Wesley Yang on X - "Sure there's self-interested reasons to do it in addition to beneficent ones. But what's of interest is the way the act of beneficence instantly becomes an obligation that one cannot withdraw from without assuming responsibility for the situation the existed before one... Having saved millions of lives over twenty years produces no recognition of decades of beneficence, only the claim that removal of that beneficence over twenty years is "condemning other human beings to death." Why over the course of twenty years is African in the same condition of abject dependency that it was 20 years hence? Did the aid have a role in propagating that dependency?"

Midwest State of Mind on X - "This is a kind of imperialism that libs have a very hard time recognizing. Any particular aid program may (or may not) be beneficial but also by definition erodes state capacity - the receiving state doesn't need to come up with a plan for, say, 'aids' because western countries are doing it. When this happens for many different issues the state itself becomes something of an afterthought, like a monarchy"

USAID Secretly Funded Luxuries For Ukrainian Models, Senate Probe Finds - "The now-shuttered U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) paid Ukrainian models and designers to go to Paris Fashion Week and other frivolous luxuries, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said Wednesday.  Ernst revealed that USAID did not report the expenditures in public databases and tried to block her staff from seeing them, claiming they were classified. In reality, she said, they were not classified, merely embarrassing for how wasteful they were.  Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded billions from American taxpayers, raising the specter of gruesome deaths and suffering. But “staff learned that the aid intended to alleviate economic distress in the war-torn nation was spent on such frivolous activities as sending Ukrainian models and designers on junkets to New York City, London Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and South by Southwest in Austin, Texas,” a memo obtained by The Daily Wire said.  Ukrainian recipients of “Competitive Economy Program (CEP)” funds included, the memo said:
• A modern women’s attire company ($150,000)
• A trade mission for a fashion design house ($128,000)
• A photographer for fashion design publications ($126,000)
• A purveyor of contemporary knitwear ($161,000)
• A luxury bridal brand ($84,000)
• Marketplace for designer artisanal pieces inspired by folk crafts ($84,000)
Money going to Ukraine also went to a vineyard ($89,000), an “artisanal fruit tea company” ($104,000), a “custom carpet manufacturer” ($2 million), a confectionary company ($678,000), a dog collar manufacturer, and a designer of upscale furniture. Ernst said that for years, USIAD had treated her efforts at congressional oversight with open hostility. She wrote to Secretary of State Marco Rubio this month that the agency “has engaged in a demonstrated pattern of obstructionism” in which they refused to say how they were spending money. When they begrudgingly let congressional overseers see their finances, bureaucrats watched the investigators and not only barred them from copying the records, but even restricted their note-taking... She found that USAID was also allowing NGOs to keep more than 25% of grants for themselves, to pay for “indirect costs” such as office rent, and that it claimed it would be against the law for it to provide her information necessary to evaluate whether that was appropriate."

Laura Loomer on X - "Isn’t it funny how less than 2 weeks after USAID was defunded, majority of the leftist show hosts on CNN and MSDNC just had their shows canceled today? 😱😱 They were literally subsidizing their multi million dollar salaries for their DEI commie propaganda with our tax dollars."

KanekoaTheGreat on X - "USAID funneled $53 million to EcoHealth Alliance, which then used U.S. taxpayer funds to support gain-of-function research on coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab—research that likely led to the creation of COVID-19.  The CIA’s deception regarding COVID-19 origins becomes much clearer when considering USAID's long history of serving as a CIA front organization.  With an annual budget exceeding $50 billion and activities in over 100 countries, USAID has repeatedly been linked to intelligence activities. Former USAID Director John Gilligan once admitted the agency was “infiltrated from top to bottom with CIA people,” explaining that “the idea was to plant operatives in every kind of activity we had overseas: government, volunteer, religious, every kind.”  In 2013, a U.S. cable published by WikiLeaks outlined the U.S. strategy to undermine Venezuela’s government through USAID by "penetrating Chavez’s political base," "dividing Chavismo," and "isolating Chavez internationally."   In 2014, the Associated Press revealed that USAID funded the creation of a Twitter-like platform intended to incite a rebellion in Cuba.  USAID funding has been linked to coups in Haiti, Ukraine, Egypt, and other nations.  From 2009 to 2019, USAID partnered with EcoHealth Alliance on the PREDICT program, which identified 1,200 new viruses, trained 5,000 people globally in disease detection, and enhanced 60 research labs.  This partnership provided the CIA with a direct channel for embedding human assets within biological research facilities worldwide in exchange for funding and technology transfers.  In 2022, Dr. Andrew Huff, a former Vice President at EcoHealth Alliance, publicly revealed Dr. Peter Daszak’s alleged ties to the CIA.  The core issue?   The CIA lied to the American public about COVID-19’s origins because acknowledging the truth would expose its likely role in funneling taxpayer money through USAID to finance gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.
Dr. Robert Redfield, the former CDC Director, says that U.S. taxpayer money from USAID, NIH, State Department, and DOD funded the creation of SARS-CoV-2:  "They wanted a single narrative, and I had a different point of view... Science has debate, and they squashed any debate... There's no doubt that NIH was funding gain of function research."    Is it likely that American tax dollars funded the gain-of-function research that created this virus?    "I think it did. Not only from NIH, but from the State Department, USAID, and from DOD.""

He’s been pouring out his emotions on Facebook nonstop. At first, it struck me as strange, but it’s starting to add up.  He’s a high-ranking government official who thrived under the old system. Back around 2020, he threw himself into the DEI wave, earned some national attention, and everything seemed on track. He thought he had it all figured out—his career, his status, the whole game.  Then Trump won again. The ground shifted beneath him, totally out of nowhere for someone like him who was so sure of his path, and now he’s on the outside looking in. His government career is toast, and he’s lost, unsure of what’s next. His whole identity’s taken a hit. It might explain a lot of the despair we’re seeing from the old D.C. crowd. Many of these folks figured Trump’s second term would mirror his first—a minor hiccup they could just wait out and bounce back from in four years. Now they’re seeing it’s not playing out that way, and they’re absolutely horrified. Another issue these types are facing is the usual left-wing patronage jobs are funded my USAID and other federal grant programs. Those jobs are gone now.
