In Dutch class we were supposed to come up with responses to questions. This one involved using the word "maar" (but):

Q: Spreek je Nederlands? (Do you speak Dutch?)

My A: Ik spreek beetje Nederlands maar de Nederlanders begrijpen me niet. (I speak a bit of Dutch but the Dutch don't understand me)
