"Malaysia Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and the Sultan of Johor are seen in a blue Proton Saga... "When asked whether there is any tension with the sultan, Dr Mahathir said: “No, I don’t see anything because I went to see him and he drove me to the airport. I don’t want to comment on the sultans because if I say anything that is not good then it’s not nice because he is the sultan”"

Why do most Russian women hate feminism? - "Russians by and large adhere to relatively strict gender roles: women are expected to dress well and take care of themselves, want many babies, act as the center of the household, and be very ladylike while men are expected to carry all the financial responsibility, protect the honor of their women, carry heavy loads and drive the car. What does often surprise foreigners, however, is that women in Russia tend to uphold these gender roles as vociferously, if not more so, than their male counterparts... 78 percent of both men and women believe a woman’s place is in the home. It’s worth noting here, however, that in a traditional Russian household, it is the woman who makes all decisions regarding finances and domestic issues (“The man is the head, but the woman is the neck” as the popular Russian saying goes). More importantly, Russian women often visibly grimace at the word “feminism,” which is filled with negative connotations, such as sloppiness, laziness, aggression, and vulgarity. “These feminists, they act like men,” my friend Sveta always says with derision, echoing the thoughts of many other Russian women, “Why would I want to act like a man? I’m proud of being a woman.”... “Before feminism, all you had to do was be a good wife and mother. Now you have to do everything.”The iconic Soviet female, often portrayed in national leaflets with a sickle in one hand and a spoon in the other, was minimalistic and productive rather than glamorous. It’s no wonder then that with the fall of the Soviet Union, as psychologist Yulya Burlakova explains, Russian women welcomed a return to traditional gender roles and felt the urge to overcompensate for years of subjugated femininity... there’s another problematic trope in American pop culture: women are often touted as being “feminist” when they adopt traditionally masculine behavior, such as burping, telling crass jokes, not wearing makeup or a bra, etc. This means that often modern feminism actually winds up celebrating what it means to be a man, rather than what it means to be a woman."

Nic Cage's Wife of 4 Days Asks for Spousal Support in Ongoing Divorce - "makeup artist Erika Koike filed legal documents which responded to Cage filing for an annulment in March. That annulment, in case it is not clear from that first sentence, was put together just four days after the pair had a Vegas wedding. At the time Cage stated he "reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize or understand the full impact of his action." He also contended that the marriage was predicated on fraud. The doomed relationship represents the fourth time that marriage has not worked out for Cage."
A man is not a financial plan. A divorce, though, is

Women show sexual preference for tall, dominant men – so is gender inequality inevitable? - "The old cliché tells us the most desirable men are “tall, dark, and handsome” – and scientific research confirms that heterosexual women tend to prefer partners who are taller than them. One study found that, on average, women’s satisfaction with their partner’s actual height was greatest when he was 21cm taller than themselves. Conversely, men’s satisfaction was greatest with a woman who was 8cm shorter than them. Not only do women want taller men; they seem to favour a bigger height difference than men. Women’s choice of taller men might indicate a preference for men who are more dominant... women also tend to show a preference for indicators of dominance in men, such as physical strength and masculine facial features"
The article proclaims we can engineer our preferences, without presenting evidence
Comments: "Surely the claim that female preference for taller, larger partners is dangerous would be more persuasive if there was a correlation between magnitude of size difference and propensity for partner assault. Mt guess is there is no such evidence, with other factors being more predictive. Also it seems remiss of any discussion about possible female preferences for “domination” not to mention Fifty Shades of Grey. Regardless of its literary merit, the book was a one of the publishing sensations of this century.I’ve always thought collective preferences in movies and books tell us something - and the popularity of romance fiction in particular is striking."

WATCH: Muslim Doctor Stuns CNN: President Trump And GOP 'Beloved' In Much Of The Muslim World - "Dr. Qanta Ahmed, who hails from Great Britain, stated, “One thing the viewers should know, this president and this administration is often castigated as Islamophobic, but I move in the Muslim word, in Egypt, in Oman, in Jordan, in Iraqi Kurdistan, where this president is beloved. This president and the Republican Party going back to George Bush is very dearly held. Today is the anniversary of Halabja, the massacre of 180,000 Kurds at the hands of Saddam Hussein. That only change would [be] because of a Republican president. So it is very important not to lose so much perspective that we start believing our entire government is Islamophobic. That is not the case.”...
'Islamophobia actually means the refusal to scrutinize or examine Islam or Islamism, Islamist institutions. Muslims and Christians in Pakistan when they challenged Islamism, when they defended Asia Bibi, the Christian woman that was on death row were killed, assassinated for their purported Islamophobia.'...
Ahmed implicitly condemned Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her anti-Semitic statements, saying, “In this country in the United States, we have Islamists mother — Muslim brotherhood front groups that are claiming Muslims are victims. We just saw a few weeks ago the exploitation of this narrative in the trivialization of anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism occurred in Congress and the reaction was when there was outrage that this was somehow hate directed at a Muslim who is spewing Islamist ideology. So we have to be extremely clear about the language, clear about the narrative because that controls."...
'I fear that the true exploitation of [the Canterbury, New Zealand mosque attack] will be by Islamists. Above all, Islamists seek the division and separation of the Muslim community from wider society.'...
'as a believing Muslim observing Islam, I am compelled by the Quran to support Israel’s sole claim to the Holy Land; the Quran says it is so'"
Looks like anti-Zionism is Islamophobic

University Hosts No-Whites-Allowed Listening Sessions... To Promote Inclusivity - "the Winston-Salem Journal reported that “a coalition of students, faculty and staff at Wake Forest University demanded Monday that university officials immediately begin a zero-tolerance policy for white supremacy after several developments in recent months heightened concerns about racism on campus.” The article cites a few examples that have riled the campus community, including a “racist Instagram post” that quipped about building a wall between Wake Forest and its crosstown rival, a historically black university. Also cited was old yearbook blackface photos, and a photo of Wake Forest students posing in front of a Confederate flag in the 1980s, two of whom are now WFU administrators. That Instagram post? It was actually a parody. As for the blackface photos, there are few universities across the nation that haven’t found a few of those in old yearbooks. And the two administrators pictured in front of the Confederate flag — they’ve apologized. Their apologies have not been accepted, however. (Protesters are likely furious that one of the deans in the 37-year-old photo has refused to step down from her job despite their demands). And although the Journal article doesn’t mention it, there was another “racist” incident from February — a student in a cowboy outfit whose lasso was mistaken for a noose... when a white female peer told them to relax and take a joke, she received death threats...
One professor at the school who asked for anonymity said the situation is absurd right now.
“It’s hard to respond to the ridiculous accusation that Wake Forest tolerates or encourages ‘white supremacy’ and inflicts ‘trauma on students of color,'” the professor said in an email to The Fix. “I question whether it is worth responding to people who use such hyperbolic and hysterical rhetoric. Though the more you placate them, the more they escalate their rhetoric and demands.”
Indeed, a month prior to Monday’s protest, President Hatch had already capitulated to numerous demands regarding the university’s racial unrest, including granting the Black Student Alliance control of an exclusive and highly sought after campus lounge space next to one of the main dorms. He also promised more diversity and “unconscious bias” training."
Death threats are good to fight "Racism"
Another good example of how capitulating to SJWs/mobs just encourages them to press harder

Parents more uncomfortable with gender-nonconforming behaviors in boys, study finds - "parents are more comfortable with girls partaking in gender-nonconforming behavior than boys and attempt to change their sons’ behaviors more frequently... parents report girls engage in gender-nonconforming behavior more than boys"

Who Really Cares? - "One of the most pervasive political visions of our time is the vision of liberals as compassionate and conservatives as less caring. It is liberals who advocate “forgiveness” of loans to third-world countries, a “living wage” for the poor and a “safety net” for all. But these are all government policies — not individual acts of compassion — and the actual empirical consequences of such policies are of remarkably little interest to those who advocate them. Depending on what those consequences are, there may be good reasons to oppose them, so being for or against these policies may tell us nothing about who is compassionate or caring and who is not.A new book, titled Who Really Cares by Arthur C. Brooks examines the actual behavior of liberals and conservatives when it comes to donating their own time, money, or blood for the benefit of others... People who identify themselves as conservatives donate money to charity more often than people who identify themselves as liberals. They donate more money and a higher percentage of their incomes. It is not that conservatives have more money. Liberal families average 6 percent higher incomes than conservative families. You may recall a flap during the 2000 election campaign when the fact came out that Al Gore donated a smaller percentage of his income to charity than the national average. That was perfectly consistent with his liberalism. So is the fact that most of the states that voted for John Kerry during the 2004 election donated a lower percentage of their incomes to charity than the states that voted for George W. Bush. Conservatives not only donate more money to charity than liberals do, conservatives volunteer more time as well. More conservatives than liberals also donate blood.According to Professor Brooks: “If liberals and moderates gave blood at the same rate as conservatives, the blood supply of the United States would jump about 45 percent.” Professor Brooks admits that the facts he uncovered were the opposite of what he expected to find — so much so that he went back and checked these facts again, to make sure there was no mistake."

Viewpoint: California's science-challenged Proposition 65 toxic chemical regulation act at center of 'tort shakedown' racket - "the sign above our table was a reminder that thousands of businesses are often forced to post what turn out to be scare-mongering warnings under the Golden State’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, better known as Proposition 65. It’s at the center of what scientists who study the effects of toxic chemicals and regulators who are handcuffed by laws voted on by popular demand in ignorance of science call the Activist-Legal Complex... the law has also resulted in California designating many foods and consumer goods—including coffee, french fries, flip flops, toothbrushes and even trips to Disneyland—as dangerous when the real-life chance of these things causing harm is negligible. In the latest example of the far-reaching consequences of this proposition, the over-the-counter drug acetaminophen, sold under the trade name Tylenol, is being considered for listing, which would open the door to warning labels on many safe OTC drugs, and would likely result in a slew of lawsuits... Many items have been classified under Prop. 65 because California can declare a substance carcinogenic if as few as one “authoritative body” judges a substance potentially carcinogenic, even if it runs counter to the science consensus and an overwhelming number of high-quality studies... Between 2010-2017, hundreds of Prop 65. lawsuits were filed against businesses headquartered outside California, because they sold products to California residents online or through independent retailers. Excluding Iowa and Idaho, every state in the union has paid more than $1 million to settle Prop 65. lawsuits over that seven year period, and eight states have spent over $5 million each on settlements. Since 2000, the law has been misused to extract over $310 million from businesses and consumers."
