'Insulting modesty' law does not apply to men, rules court - "The value of a man's modesty versus a woman's has come under the spotlight after the Public Prosecutor appealed against a 10-week jail term given to a man who covertly took obscene videos and photographs of 33 men in public toilets. The prosecution had urged the court to punish 27-year-old Teo Han Jern with a six-month jail term, arguing that this would have been the benchmark if the Malaysian's victims had been women. But District Judge Kenneth Yap, in explaining last week why he rejected the prosecution's arguments, pointed out that Singapore's law on insult to modesty protects only women"
When will AWARE complain about this sexism against men, or how the law treats women condescendingly?

Doctor Who writer hits out at ‘trannies’ and ‘rainbow cult’ - "Doctor Who writer Gareth Roberts has hit out at transgender women... He wrote: “I [love] how trannies choose names like Munroe, Paris and Chelsea. It’s never Julie or Bev is it? “It’s almost like a clueless gayboy’s idea of a glamorous lady. But of course it’s definitely not that.” After a hostile response, the writer added: “Oh god it’s the rainbow cult. Bye.”"
He should just have mocked white people

Corbyn slammed for firing MP for grooming warning - "Religious groups lashed Jeremy Corbyn today for sacking Sarah Champion after she warned of grooming by Pakistani men. A letter, signed by crossbench peer Lord Singh on behalf of the Network of Sikh Organisations and by groups including the British Pakistani Christian Association and Hindu Council UK, warned against victims being 'sacrificed on the altar of political correctness'. Ms Champion was told to quit the shadow cabinet after she wrote in The Sun: 'Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls.' The letter also spoke up in defence Amina Lone, a Manchester councillor who was de-selected after speaking up for Ms Champion... 'For decades Hindu, Sikh and Christian organisations have raised concerns about grooming gangs. 'The latter have plagued our communities, so much so that a BBC documentary on the targeting of Sikhs was aired a few years ago. 'The common denominator is that victims almost always tend to be non-Muslim girls. We are dismayed by the Labour leadership's weak response. 'We are not willing to see the betrayal of victims, who are being sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.' The letter said Ms Champion was 'undoubtedly right' to say the race of perpetrators could not be ignored."
Sikhs and Hindus are Islamophobic too!

This Cafe in KL Serves the Craziest and Most Delicious Indomie Combinations! - "Having officially opened their first outlet in July this year, it has already garnered much attention thanks to its special signature red and green chili sambal that tastes way better than the original sambal included in the packet, as the flood of five-star reviews on their Facebook page shows. For those who loves the spicy kick, go for the red sambal. They also have a green sambal for those who can’t stand the heat. Their Indomie comes with a variety of toppings that ranges from combinations such as drumstick, chicken chop, lamb chop, prawns, salmon and so much more."

Prof: Efforts to recruit women for STEM 'may be backfiring' - "Adriana Kugler, who teaches economics at Georgetown, recently published her research on the gender-gap in STEM fields. She found that STEM recruitment efforts that stress the gender-gap in STEM actually serves to discourage women... the claim that women do poorly in STEM solely because it’s male dominated isn’t supported by evidence either... efforts to recruit women into STEM need to be transparent about their statistics. Not all of STEM is male dominated, she stresses. “We need to correct the record that STEM is male dominated,” she says, noting that there are many STEM fields that are female dominated, such as neurobiology and evolutionary biology. Likewise, many STEM fields, such as chemistry and mathematics are usually “neutral or half-and-half.”"
Feminists need to decide whether it's more important to capitalise on women's alleged victimisation or to increase the number of women in STEM

Is Boba Fett a Mandalorian or Does He Just Wear Mandalorian Armor? - "Pablo Hidalgo of the Lucasfilm Story Group frequently tweets that "Boba's not Mandalorian""

Hurricane Irma: Storms with female names aren't deadlier after all - "In sharp contrast to findings of a study published in 2014, further research suggests that hurricanes with female names aren't deadlier than those with male names after all. The original study, published in the prestigious, peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, found hurricanes with feminine names killed more people than those with male names — because people didn't take the threat as seriously. The paper claimed that a masculine-named storm would kill about 15 people, but a hurricane of the same strength with a female name would kill about 42. Even when the study published, other experts were skeptical: One researcher not involved in the study, Hugh Gladwin of Florida International University, found the report "very problematic and misleading, while another, Jeff Lazo of the National Center for Atmospheric Research said, "any finding with respect to naming and fatalities could be a statistical fluke."Since then, as noted by the Capital Weather Gang this summer, the original study has been even more widely refuted in papers published in that same journal. Various experts have said the study was "based on biased presentation and invalid statistics," that the results were "of questionable robustness" and “the statistical difference between the male and female subsets becomes negligible” when outlier storms in the study group were accounted for."

Same-sex marriage: Why have Muslims been so quiet in the debate? - ""We are afraid if we come out with our opinion then the left may abandon us for going against their view and we can't be friendly with the conservatives because they have been bashing us for 15, 20 years every chance they get … and that includes some Christian sects as well."... Council of Imams Queensland president Yusuf Peer said gay marriage was unacceptable to Islam, and that Muslims should respect LGBTQI people but "condemn only their actions". And the statement from the National Imams Council was unambiguous: "Islam places the family unit at the heart of a healthy society, and in this context, the right of children to be cared for and raised by both a mother and father is one that must be protected"... "Most Islamic scholars are in agreement that homosexuality is incompatible with Islamic theology... "There are many, many gay Muslims — some whom practice, some who do not... Australia's first — and only — openly gay imam, Melbourne's Nur Warsame, received death threats after coming out and establishing an LGBT friendly mosque."
Is a non-practising Muslim a Muslim?

The pleasures of drunken one-night stands: Assemblage theory and narrative environments. - "RESULTS: We show that: (i) alcohol-fuelled sexual explorations (e.g. erotic fantasizing, flirting and sex) are of paramount importance for young partygoers; (ii) sexualized territories (e.g. private parties, rural feasts and the backseat of cars) significantly shape the experience and performance of one-night stands; and (iii) contrary to previous research, one-night stands are to a large degree associated with pleasure-the immediate pleasure of having sex and the long-term pleasure of telling about it to others.
CONCLUSION: We argue that drunken one-night stands are part and parcel of a drinking culture that places high value on sexual encounters and personal sex stories."

'VICIOUS': Steve Harvey Describes Racist Backlash He Faced From The Left For Meeting With Trump - ""It was so vicious that it really threw me," said Harvey. "I was being called names that I've never been called: Uncle Tom. A coon. A sellout. Because I went to see this man?!"... Amid the flood of racist outrage over his one and only meeting with Trump, Harvey issued a statement that stressed that "our president (Obama)" had asked him to attend.
In another part of the interview that touched on the racism of the Left, when asked if Hollywood is "more racist than America," Harvey said in effect yes:
'Cause they don't get it. And it's not that they're racist. It's that they, the people who greenlight shows, sit in an office in Beverly Hills, Burbank, Studio City, and they make decisions about America and none of them live there. And they've got to put everything in a category. "Blacks would like this. This is a black show." I think Black-ish is the first black show that hasn't had to put a white character on it. It's amazing how they think out here. And America's not that way at all."

PETA Wants Fictional Space Vikings From the Year 40,000 to Stop Wearing Fur - "these models are already fur free in that they’re made out of plastic, resin, and metal. It’s just that some of them (say, the Space Wolves, the very Viking-inspired branch of the Space Marines that have a fondness for, well, actual space wolves) are depicted wearing fur pelts on top of their armor. Even that is too much in PETA’s eyes, who claim that it “sends the message that wearing fur is acceptable—when, in fact, it has no more place in 2017 than it would in the year 40,000.” That’s silly enough, but the message continues, noting that “nothing on the bloody battlefields of Warhammer’s conflict-ravaged universe could match the terrible reality of the fur trade.”"

Shafilea Ahmed's parents lied about not being involved in her disappearance and death. But this is the moment their mask slipped... - "Her parents repeatedly protested their innocence on television, appearing in a series of interviews where they claimed they were being stereotyped because they were Muslim and from Pakistan... The couple, originally from the small village of Uttam in Pakistan, were appalled at the behaviour of Shafilea, who like her school friends, wanted to wear make-up, high heels and western clothes."

UMD Mock Trial coach resigns after email exchange about Latino students’ qualifications - "A University of Maryland visiting professor and a lawyer who were both involved in this university's mock trial team resigned Friday following an accidentally sent email exchange discussing how many Latino students they should add to the team... "The question I have is about diversity. There were three (obviously) latino students who came; 1 was mediocre, two were pretty bad (1 of the two bad ones didn't seem to take it especially seriously). But we have almost no latino students on team."
I thought promoting diversity was supposed to be a good thing?

William Shatner Slams SJWs - Says 'Snowflakes' "Stand For Inequality" And "Misandry" - "William Shatner, the actor who famously portrayed Captain James Kirk in the original 1960s run of Star Trek spoke out against his progressive critics, claiming that SJWs “stand for inequality” while defending his use of terms like “snowflake” and “misandry” – a phenomenon that angry feminists insist has been extinguished in modern society."

A Student’s Take on Yesterday’s NSL Signalling Fiasco - "Perhaps they should have phased the North South Line upgrade first. Better to piss off everyone living between Jurong East and Kranji, for example, than those on the entire line. At least, that was the approach London Underground took with the Jubilee and Northern lines, and it has helped them considerably. London Underground also took weekend closures to install and test the system, but that’s something that might be politically unpalatable here. Alternatively, they could have run the CBTC system in a sort of ‘shadow’ mode, where the old system still controls the train and the CBTC system ‘learn’ how to run the railway before the CBTC system actually takes over. London did this – they managed to reduce bugs even before the first passengers boarded a CBTC-equipped train"

Richard Dawkins says Christianity is world's best defence against radical Islam - "Dawkins even conceded that "Christianity may actually be our best defence against aberrant forms of religion that threaten the world... He admitted that he has "mixed feelings" concerning the decline of Christianity, because this faith-based group might just be "a bulwark against something worse.""

Feminist writer says she is addicted to having sex with Trump supporters because they are bigoted

Liberal Feminist Blogger: Help, I Can't Stop Hooking Up With Trump Supporters : TheRedPill - "The cognitive dissonance has made my hamster burn out. So the solution to this dilemma is to let Chad and Brad use me like a cock piñata, while nice guy liberal Ben gives me the commitment when I want to. And to ensure that I will have an endless supply of alpha cock and validation to choose from, I shall write this blog post about this cough troubling cough issue, knowing that Trump supporters will make this go viral by sharing this amongst themselves, while my personal info and contact is easily available to them through a quick google search. After all, why else would I be willing to put up with potential abuse and outrage from my usual liberal feminist audience?"

Deep neural networks are more accurate than humans at detecting sexual orientation from facial images. - "Given a single facial image, a classifier could correctly distinguish between gay and heterosexual men in 81% of cases, and in 74% of cases for women. Human judges achieved much lower accuracy: 61% for men and 54% for women. The accuracy of the algorithm increased to 91% and 83%, respectively, given five facial images per person. Facial features employed by the classifier included both fixed (e.g., nose shape) and transient facial features (e.g., grooming style). Consistent with the prenatal hormone theory of sexual orientation, gay men and women tended to have gender-atypical facial morphology, expression, and grooming styles"

Artificial intelligence can identify 'gay faces' from a picture, study claims - "homosexual men were found to have narrower jaws, longer noses, larger foreheads and less facial hair than heterosexual men, and that homosexual women tended to have larger jaws and smaller foreheads than heterosexual women. They added: "Lesbians tended to use less eye makeup, had darker hair, and wore less revealing clothes (note the higher neckline)—indicating less feminine grooming and style. Furthermore, although women tend to smile more in general, lesbians smiled less than their heterosexual counterparts. "Additionally, consistent with the association between baseball caps and masculinity in American culture, heterosexual men and lesbians tended to wear baseball caps.""
This perpetuates the "stereotype" of the angry, unfeminine lesbian

Ivan the Terrible - "“Your vodka ration is being canceled.”
The supply officer had gone too far. Bezditko screamed, “If I don’t get it, you’ll get it.”
Malygin hung up on him, relayed news of the crime to headquarters and shut off Ivan’s liquor rations.
Enraged, Bezditko contacted the firing point for his 120-PM-38 heavy mortar batteries, issued a precise set of coordinates, and gave the order to shoot. Three rounds dropped squarely on top of Malygin’s warehouse at the riverbank, and out of the smoke and debris tottered the shaken major. Behind him hundreds of bottles of vodka had broken and spilled onto the floor"

Dazzle Ships - "Dazzle camouflage (also known as Razzle Dazzle or Dazzle painting) was a military camouflage paint scheme used on ships, extensively during World War I and to a lesser extent in World War II. The idea is credited to the artist Norman Wilkinson who was serving in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve when he had the idea in 1917. After the Allied Navies failed to develop effective means to disguise ships in all weathers, the dazzle technique was employed, not in order to conceal the ship, but rather to make it difficult for the enemy to estimate its type, size, speed and direction of travel."

Russian women strip to their underwear and beg people for money to buy clothes - "It was all part of a locally organised workshop teaching young women about how to find a husband in which apparently stripping naked and asking for cash for clothing was one of the lessons."
