She was found armed with a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun with a mounted Crimson Trace red dot sight.  After a three-day trial, the jury convicted her of interfering with public duties and resisting arrest. She was given a suspended 180-day jail sentence (no actual incarceration), plus one year probation.  Grant's legal woes are not over, however. The victims of the Antifa attack are also suing her civilly. In December 2023, a judge rejected her appeal, arguing that the court was right to decide that the case had legal grounds to proceed. Violent Dallas Antifa member and new convict Meghan Grant (b. June 13, 1985) is using the account @AFAmother on X. AFA = Antifascist Action, the dog whistle that Antifa members use with one another.  Grant, a trans nonbinary violent extremist, says she plans to appeal her conviction and is asking for money. She is promoting her cause with a misleading photo of herself."
