Drew Pavlou 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇺🇦🇹🇼 on X - "Western far-left extremists aren’t interested in Islam as a religion. They support political Islamism as revenge for losing the Cold War. They are pissed that communism is dead so they support Islamist political movements as a way to kill civilians in the West with terrorist attacks and massacres. It’s pure nihilistic hatred. This is why I say that leftist support for Hamas and Islamist terrorism is the final death rattle of the twentieth century left, a final spasm of impotent infantile rage directed at Westerners for committing the unforgivable sin: preferring jet skis to Bolshevik revolution. Because the Western working classes did not give the far-left a communist revolution, because they preferred social democracy and jet skis and boats to communism, far-left extremists in the West forsake them. They cease being the proletariat - pregnant with revolutionary potential - and instead become settler colonists, a political category defined at birth which you can never escape. Remember Hasan Piker’s comment? “Babies can be settlers too.” And once you become a “settler colonist” you are sufficiently dehumanised and demonised in their eyes to the point that they can justify indiscriminate terrorist massacres against you."

Meme - "When you're worse than the nazis but nobody cares because you flooded western academia with your useful idiots"
i/o on X - "You often hear from people on the right that the Nazis were socialist, or that Hitler himself was a socialist. But here's what Hitler did once he was in power: He busted up unions, privatized certain industries, didn't remove private property protections, dismantled social welfare programs, outlawed all (actual) socialist parties and organizations, and rounded up and executed people on the left (before he did the same to Jews). Hitler's involvement in the economy was consistent with the principles of fascism: The means of production were not seized, but the party maintained a more direct role in some regulatory aspects. Hitler argued that both social-economic hierarchies and inequalities were good for the country. How socialist of him! Combining the terms “national” and “socialism” was briefly popular across Europe in the 20s, but these movements tended to be interested in creating “social solidarity” based not on class, but on race or ethnicity or nationality. “Socialism” in this context bears no relationship to the term in its present one. I'll add: “But the German Nazis had 'socialist' in their name” is the same level of genius argument as “North Korea and East Germany were democracies because they had 'democrat' in their names.”"
Devon Eriksen on X - "the working class. This was a lie. Socialism is an intellectual phenomenon, centered around academia, and its apparatchiks have always been students. But at the time, it was a believable lie. The working conditions for the first generation of factory workers that the Industrial Revolution created were squalid and dangerous. Additionally, because automation was not sophisticated, there were many points where machines needed human assistance, or human operators, who didn't need specialized skills, just human hands. This meant that there was a plentiful supply of appropriate labor, which kept wages low, especially since low-wage industrial processes were finding ways to replace the work of high-wage skilled craftsmen. Industrial automation would eventually drive prices down, eliminate many menial jobs, and create a better world for everyone, but when it was first introduced, it made improvements for factory owners sooner than for workers. Thus, the lie that socialism was a champion was believable, doubly so because, at the time, socialism had not been tried on a national scale, and exposed for the embarrassing failure that it is. If socialism were truly about improving conditions for the working class, socialism would have been abandoned when capitalism did just that. But that was never what socialism was for. Socialism was invented by academics, for academics. It appeals not to the intellect, but to the intellectual. The point of socialism is to create a centrally planned, where all economic activity is controlled through government force, by a small group of people who are deemed experts. This appeals to intellectuals for two reasons. First, they believe they themselves to be the "experts" who will control the system. Second, central control gives them endless scope for forcing the implementation of their latest utopian scheme. It goes without saying that intellectuals are hopelessly unqualified to run an economy, not just because their work product is ideas they never have to prove or implement, but also because no one is qualified to run an economy. Economies must run themselves. And the proper role of those in power is to have the self-discipline to do very little... or nothing at all. But socialists, real socialists — by which I mean intellectuals who understand socialism is a power grab, not their dupes who believe it will work — now have a problem. Capitalism self-evidently works so very well that the poor no longer aspire to overthrow the system, but to improve their place within it. Working class parents want to work and save so their children can train for the professional class. Professional class parents want to work and save so their children can start their own ventures and join the entrepreneurial class. And no one pays much attention to the whinging of socialists telling people that they should favor system-smashing taxes because they, personally, will never be a billionaire. So the socialists abandoned the working class. Who were only ever foot soldiers paid with largely unfulfilled promises of a better life. They were never the point. They switched to using:
1. Dysfunctional losers who are unable to get their shit together enough to work and better themselves.
2. Third-world imports who believe in looting the system instead of working within it, because they come from corrupt nations where hard work doesn't get you ahead.
3. Anyone whom they can convince that the system is against them because of the color of their skin, as if the system cared.
Now that the working class has been abandoned, socialists are free to express the contempt they have felt for it all along. A leftist politician would never, never, do a shift working at MacDonald's, or driving and loading a garbage truck. Because they consider people who do that to be losers who couldn't get a better job. And if they did hold their noses and try it, it would be so transparently inauthentic that no one would be fooled for a second. Capitalists who rose to prominence through starting and running businesses are nowhere near that self-absorbed and short-sighted. While they certainly aspired to be better paid than food service workers, they understand that to make society run, diligent work is required in every specialty. A man who owns his own restaurant will happily get down on his hands and knees and scrub the restroom stalls to make sure they are clean. Why? Because it's his restaurant. He has skin in the game. Donald Trump can be authentic running the deep fryer at a MacDonald's. Vivek Ramaswany can be authentic picking up garbage. Because they're not ashamed to do it. Their first mental reaction to these tasks isn't to think of them as low-status-coded and demeaning, but as things that need to be done by somebody. Because otherwise, we're all hip deep in trash, and nobody eats. The reality of capitalism is that not every job is going to be paid the same. That doesn't, and can't, work. But every needful job deserves dignity, and it is not the capitalists, but the socialists and intellectuals, who try to deny this in practice."

Bourgeois leftists are a menace to the class struggle - "Grace Blakeley, a privately educated leftist and journalist, declared on Twitter that class has nothing to do with your accent, where you live, where you grew up, what your parents do and where you went to school. ‘These things remain important in supporting certain individuals to change their class position’, she tweeted, ‘but they don’t come into the definition of class’. I wasn’t surprised or even angry. I have been watching this narrative about class in Britain unfold over several years from the bourgeois left – those bright young things who have lived comfy, cushioned, middle-class lives, complete with private educations and Oxbridge degrees, and who now have very nice seats at the table with the chattering classes, the politicians, the academics in Russell Group research universities and the creative industries in elite spaces in London. No doubt, they read The Communist Manifesto at university and are now ‘literally communists’, taking up as much political space as their ever widening middle-class elbows can stretch to. And the last thing the left-wing middle class in Britain wants to talk about is class, especially working-class people. Oh yes, they write fervently and with passion in their columns for the Guardian about food banks, poor children, terrible housing and inequality. But when it comes to the politics of class in Britain it becomes tricky for them, because they are in full-fat benefit and credit to that system, and properly critiquing the politics of class means they might have to deal with the truth that they are the problem and the solution is for them to get out of the way. The issue came up again last weekend when I saw an interview on the left-wing Novara Media with author China Miéville, entitled ‘Working class is not an identity’. Miéville was being interviewed by Novara senior editor Ash ‘literally a communist’ Sarkar about his new book on The Communist Manifesto. The interview was long, pompous and elitist – just how bourgeois leftists like their politics. The serious question here is why is it so hard to talk about class politics in Britain today and who are the gatekeepers? Why is it rare to find a debate that reaches beyond the rhetoric of the ‘poor’ and the ‘disadvantaged’, complete with images of food-bank users? These are narratives created to talk about the class system, but without talking about class politics."

Every time I’d say something in class that was in the realm of free-choice or free markets, I’d have 3-6 people who’d felt the urge to argue or try to drag down the character of anyone who could say what I said. There were times I’d have the argue the whole class because I was the only person who had an opinion right center. Most of the professors were at least respectful, so they would tell the mobs to calm down and argue on the points, stop attacking his character and understand that their are good argument for the other side no matter how you feel about them. But in my experience in philosophy it was about 95% of them found socailism favorable. This kinda requires a definition of socialism and what “services” or “rights” are believed to be owed to an individual by the government. Anyways, it’s tough to tell how many were truly liberal or progressive because their were some closet conservatives. Guys (mainly) who when only around the boys will say what they think but if there are any females around they would only talk like they were liberal socialists lol"
