A woman's cold vs A man's cold

One response to this would be to rail about stereotypes, but here's a more interesting point of view: by staying in bed the Man is being considerate and not infecting other people, whereas the Woman (who perhaps isn't a Real Woman if she doesn't have a child) is being bloody selfish by exposing her child to her infection (possibly excluding others in maternal gatekeeping, and going to work and getting all her co-workers sick too)

(Incidentally, women take more sick leave than men)
