Links - 28th September 2025 (1 - Charlie Kirk Assassination)

Dan Burmawi on X - "The journalist behind the report accusing Bibi Netanyahu of offering $150 million to Charlie Kirk is Max Blumenthal, a man who used to work for the Iran-backed newspaper Al Akhbar in Beirut and contributed to Al Jazeera. Why is it that every time we track down a lie, we end up finding people connected to Qatar or Iran behind it?"

Sander Zuidema on X - "I think this pushed a lot of people away from the left, internationally. The gleeful celebration of murder. And yes, it's just a radical part of the left, but way too many more moderate lefties turned out to be spineless cowards unable to speak up and act when needed."
Sarah Haider πŸ‘Ύ on X - "As I’ve noted before, many of the gleeful celebrations *do not seem to be coming from radicals*, but rather, utter normies you would encounter day to day. It isn’t masked antifa creeps with some of the most ghoulish takes, but young women with college degrees and jobs."
Meghan Murphy on X - "I saw old normie bougie friends back in Vancouver posting all sorts of deluded justifications for Kirk’s murder, clearly thinking they were advertising their righteous and edgy politics. These are rich or upper middle class people, living in the propaganda bubble that is Canada,  completely removed from the real world (and real world danger), who imagine themselves to very informed, but they aren’t radicals. Just basic privileged/progressive Vancouverites who get all of their information and politics from their algorithm."

Bonchie on X - "Yes, the shooter adhered to trans ideology, had a trans-furry boyfriend, his family said he was left-wing, he wrote anti-fascist stuff on the ammo, and he accused the prominent right-winger he murdered of "hatred," but his motive remains a mystery. We may never know."

Libs of TikTok on X - "MSNBC’s Brandy Zadrozny on Charlie’s ass*ssination: “To suggest that the internet is cheering for this is the total opposite of what’s actually happening." Unbelievable. There are tens of thousands of examples. She’s just straight up knowingly lying."
Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️ on X - "I'm shocked, a "misinformation reporter" lying through her teeth, nobody could have seen this coming"
Left wingers really believe this. This is why they're accusing the right of cancelling those who are insufficiently reverent over Charlie Kirk's death, or those who criticise him, or even quote him accurately.

Chuck Ross on X - "The Atlantic's @jemelehill deleted her Bluesky post where she said Charlie Kirk's assassination was carried out by a white supremacist gang. She was citing "disinformation expert" Joan Donovan, who should now be shunned by the media."
CrΓ©mieux on X - "Misinformation experts are kind of like body language experts in that they are very fake. Their purpose is to provide "expertise" that lets a friendly journalist launder whatever opinion they already wanted to put out there into the discourse. Remember the Vance v. Walz debate?"

Krystal Ball on X - "The demand that everyone mourn in state approved fashion is bizarre."
Wilfred Reilly on X - "There are multiple bronze statues of George Floyd."

Man lied about killing Charlie Kirk to help real shooter escape, police say - "a 71-year-old man falsely claimed responsibility for the attack, prompting his arrest and temporarily diverting law enforcement resources, FOX13 reported.  The man was seen in viral videos being led away in handcuffs shortly after the Sept. 10 shooting, which led many to believe a suspect had already been apprehended, according to the report. However, police later clarified that the man was not involved in the shooting and was instead taken into custody for obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony. Newly obtained police documents reveal that the man approached an officer at the scene and repeatedly shouted, “I shot him now shoot me.” Although the officer saw the man’s hands and observed no weapon, the man continued making the claim and refused to reveal the location of any firearm. Officers searched him but found nothing.  As he was escorted to a patrol vehicle, the man again insisted he was the shooter and asked officers to shoot him, according to FOX 13. After being taken into custody, he invoked his right to an attorney and later recanted, telling police he had lied about being the shooter in an effort to “draw attention from the real shooter.” He later repeated that sentiment while being transported to the hospital for a medical condition, saying he wanted to be a “martyr for the person who was shot.” Authorities say the man’s actions delayed the investigation into Kirk’s death and diverted critical resources in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
I saw left wingers mock the FBI/police as unreliable for wrongly identifying George Zinn.

It's seems the narrative is now out of control so most other subs are not interested in the topic anymore. : r/CanadianConservative - "Ironically r/agedlikemilk has deleted practically everything that's been posted there in the past two days because their narrative has unsurprisingly aged like milk.  The topic is dead and over and irrelevant if the right isn't culpable. Reddit has gone quiet today."
"What else can they do? Memory hole it, hope everyone forgets, ban anyone who brings it up.  I have a feeling this could get a whole lot worse. The American government is making noise about going after the internet sites that helped to radicalize people such as this guy. The shooter here was active in Discord, had buddies in Reddit, so chances are he had at least one Reddit account too. There is a big crossover between the far left using Reddit and Discord.  This site has been normalizing radical behavior for a long time."
"I hate that the Left has hijacked the Simpsons fandom. They use it as an outlet for all of their delusions and venom, the exact opposite of the sharp, informed commentary and humour of the beloved show."
It's seems the narrative is now out of control so most other subs are not interested in the topic anymore. : r/CanadianConservative - "Which was their goal the entire time, muddy the water enough to get people to cement in their opinions and move on"

White Male Cope on X - "Y'all need to give it up. It was a groyper"
Wilfred Reilly on X - "What is the basis for this claim? The bisexual furry with the trans lover who wrote classic antifa slogans on his slugs was hard right....why?"
ℳ𝒢𝓇𝒾ℯ π’Ÿβ„―π“ˆβ„³β„΄π“ƒπ“‰π’Άπ‘”π“ƒβ„―π“ˆ on X - "Groypers aren’t celebrating Charlie Kirk’s de\ath, the Left is. Sorry guys you already claimed it. You don’t get to shift blame now."
Mochiwochi, American Kitty on X - "They did it with the Oct 17th. First celebrated the Palestinian acts of terror, then got a bad backlash and then blamed it on the Israelis. Evil. Cowards."

Matt Walsh on X - "There should be social consequences for people who openly celebrate the murder of an innocent man. But there obviously shouldn’t be any legal repercussions for “hate speech,” which is not even a valid or coherent concept. There is no law against saying hateful things, and there shouldn’t be."

Mary Katharine Ham on X - "No, Chait said Rs created an alternate world where these things exist. It’s not an alternate world. We can stipulate it was not nationally elected Ds or we can have a discussion about whether they should be fired for openly advocating and celebrating murder of people with whom they disagree. But stop the gaslighting.   I have for 7-10 yrs been keeping my job hush-hush when I seek medical care or sign my kids up for activities, lest someone take their issues with my beliefs out on us. I’m sure some on the Left would call this paranoid, but doesn’t feel like it to me! I try to vet organizations we associate with for indications of these hateful types and have sometimes failed. I have many normie D friends who didn’t celebrate the death of Kirk, one who checked in kindly, a handful of acquaintances who definitely justified it, and ALSO THE NORMIE-SEEMING NURSES AND TEACHERS CELEBRATING HIS MURDER ARE REAL. This is disturbing to me, though somewhat less surprising after the same types of people openly and casually celebrated Luigi Mangione’s execution of Brian Thompson. Not only are these people real, there is a pattern.   Now, if I’m a nurse who hears a doctor say a man should die for his beliefs, when that doctor is just as likely to have to treat a man in a MAGA hat as a BLM hat, is it the pro-speech position that I should not report him? Bc I think I should absolutely report him. If I’m a conservative mom who sees her kids’ teacher reveling in the spilled blood of a man who shares our beliefs, should I abstain from trying to have her disciplined? No, obviously not.   These people have not learned to control their emotions in public in the most basic way and are literally broadcasting the most vile inner monologues imaginable. It signals a big problem to me that they can’t control themselves in very basic ways and also think murder of political opponents is justified. Might send a signal to your employer, too, who is going to be liable for your unstable ass when you pop off. This seems like a pretty bright line!  They can be assholes and say they didn’t like Charlie. That’s not a fireable offense in most places even though I think they’re likely misinformed and Charlie would have given them far fairer treatment than they give him. But celebration of political murder in a position of public trust is gonna make me wonder if you can do your job faithfully.  A useful rubric might be that if something would have gotten you fired before cancel culture existed, maybe it’s just a normal thing people get fired for. So, an OK symbol out of the window of your truck in traffic— not fireable pre-cancel culture, so not good. Publicly celebrating the murder of a public figure for their opinions, fireable in 1980, so more legit. Like, imagine a doctor putting up flyers on telephone poles all over town about how he wished Hinkley had shot straighter and keeping his job.   We want to set the bar very high for this stuff, but employers are allowed to have a bar. I’ve written a book about how cancel culture is bad (before it had a name), I’ve defended James Gunn and Trevor Noah over bad tweets, said teenage tweets shouldn’t be a basis for anything, likes shouldn’t get you fired, offensive jokes are usually pretty good, actually.   I’ve also said that blatant racism is gonna take you down— not the “didn’t post a black square” kind of racism but the kind that got you fired pre-cancel culture. I know we can’t ever draw sensible lines anymore, but if we could, we would in fact be fine with employers declining to be associated with pro-murder people and also defend people who are simply jerky about Charlie while denouncing political violence.  I will try to do so. In the meantime it would make it easier for me, for the love of God, if you stopped telling me videos I can see with my eyes are not real."
Billy Binion on X - "This is exactly how I feel. I totally get why an employer wouldn't want to pay someone—especially in a role that requires public trust—who cheers murder. I also think it's very unhealthy to put random people on blast for expressing negative opinions about Kirk. Let us be sane."

steve hilton on X - "Gavin Newsom sanctimoniously lectures us about 'turning down the temperature'; called the attack on Charlie "vile." No, THIS is vile: official Democrat statement calls Charlie a "fascist." These leftists ARE the problem. @GavinNewsom tell them to apologize and take it down."
Mehdi Hasan on X - "Kirk supported an insurrection and overturning an election; supported deporting American citizens & permanent residents for their speech & shooting migrants at the border; & called for the execution of Biden. If you don’t want to call that fascist, what do you want to call it?"
Future Moldovan Citizen on X - "Even if Charlie Kirk was a fascist. Half the country is fascist by that standard. Do do you support shooting 150,000,000 people in the neck?"

Evan Scrimshaw on X - "Why would the Canadian House Leader talk about an American when talking about political violence in Canada"
Anthony Koch on X - "No one asked this question when Justin Trudeau was taking a knee for George Floyd"

NJ surgeon who 'cheered' Charlie Kirk's murder resigns — as suspended nurse who called him out is reinstated - "A New Jersey surgeon who allegedly “cheered” Charlie Kirk’s murder while at work has resigned — and the nurse suspended for calling him out has been reinstated, their hospital said Monday.  Dr. Matthew Jung of Englewood Health quit following Wednesday’s troubling incident — which went down moments after the news of Kirk’s tragic assassination...   Jung allegedly openly celebrated news of Kirk’s murder in front of the hospital’s nurses’ station — and defended his words when nurse Lexi Kuenzle then questioned how a person whose job is saving lives could ever cheer a death. Kuenzle later posted about the situation on social media and was suspended — but the hospital now says she has been reinstated...   Jung allegedly replied, “I hate Charlie Kirk.  “He had it coming. He deserved it,” the doctor added, according to Kuenzle.  Kuenzle reported the incident to management and after posting about it on social media that night, came to work to learn she’d been suspended – with a union rep allegedly even advising her to start looking for a job."

Pam Bondi faces Maga revolt over hate speech crackdown - "Pam Bondi is facing a revolt from the Maga base after promising to crack down on “hate speech” in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder.  The US attorney general was forced to walk back her threat to prosecute individuals “targeting anyone with hate speech” after critics and colleagues alike pointed out that it would infringe on First Amendment rights, which protect free speech... “She’s the worst member of the cabinet by a nautical mile,” a source close to the Trump administration told The Telegraph.  “She has the instincts of a rabbit caught in the headlights, and the political acumen of a high school Model UN attendee,” another source said.  A third cautioned that while the comments may have seen public backlash, Ms Bondi’s plans were unlikely to come to fruition.  “There was no damage done because nobody takes her seriously... It was stupid hour – she has already walked it back,” a source said.  Critics, including some fellow Republicans who are sensitive to curbs on free speech, warned that prosecuting hateful speech would be a violation of the First Amendment, which protects freedom of expression. Brit Hume, the Fox News analyst, said: “Someone needs to explain to Ms Bondi that so-called ‘hate speech,’ repulsive though it may be, is protected by the First Amendment.” “This is insane. Conservatives have fought for decades for the right to refuse service to anyone. We won that fight. Now Pam Bondi wants to roll it all back for no reason,” Matt Walsh, the Right-wing pundit, posted on X.  Erick Erickson, the conservative podcaster, said Ms Bondi was a “moron,” adding: “‘There’s free speech and then there is hate speech’...No ma’am. That is not the law.”... Government figures speaking at a tech summit on Tuesday were at pains to point out that hate speech is protected under free speech laws.  Republican Senator Ted Cruz told POLITICO’s AI & Tech Summit that while people who post about Kirk’s death should “absolutely face the consequences for celebrating murder”...[free speech] “absolutely protects hate speech”... At the same summit, Brendan Carr, Donald Trump’s federal communications commission chairman, said: “Our First Amendment, our free speech tradition, protects almost all speech.”... It is not the first time Ms Bondi’s position as the country’s most senior lawyer in charge of upholding the rule of law has been called into question.  She faced backlash over the botched handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. The attorney general was accused of misleading the public by claiming to have the “Epstein list”, a document containing the names of high-profile friends the late financier is rumoured to have trafficked underage girls to.  Ms Bondi said the list was “on my desk,” but later insisted that she had misspoken, and no such list has ever existed."
Weird. Left wingers were accusing all MAGAs, conservatives and right wingers of being hypocrites

The US media’s big lie about Charlie Kirk is chillingly predictable - "The legacy US media did what it does in these circumstances, attempting to find a Right-wing motive for his killer despite clear evidence that the suspect was motivated by ideologies from the far-Left.  It has also done almost everything possible to misrepresent Kirk’s own work. He was an organiser for conservative youth; he helped mobilise young voters; he held public events; he had a podcast; and he was a frequent guest on other shows. One thing he was not was a radical, or a Nazi, or a fascist, or any of the other ridiculous epithets that have been thrown at him since his untimely death at 31.  At 56, little shocks me. But I was staggered by the Left-wing reaction to Kirk’s death. I expected to hear parts of the media mis-characterise his activism, cherry-picking from longer conversations to make a mainstream Christian patriot sound like a raving Right-wing nut. What I did not expect to see were countless civilians – politicians, teachers, law enforcement, civil servants, librarians and other gainfully-employed “normal” people – willing to go on video or social media with gleeful expressions at the death of a young husband and father of small children, simply because they disagreed with something they thought he had said. I doubt any of them had listened to him first-hand.   In the 1960s, no doubt there were some who cheered the death of Martin Luther King and the Kennedy brothers. But they did so in their own homes or other places out of sight of the normal majority, who reacted in sadness at such brilliant lives cut short. Today, those expressing hateful reactions to a public assassination have X, TikTok, Instagram, and a host of other channels to expose themselves. And what a horrific sight it has been. Kirk was a rising star of the conservative Right, and for young people in particular, because he was cheerful, informed, and unafraid. Most of all, he was willing to engage with those who didn’t share his views and to hope they might be convinced. He paid them the compliment of rational opposition. Kirk was a Millennial, but he spoke most clearly to Gen-Z, those still in college or newly looking for work. Indebted by the Boomers, coddled but also abandoned to iPhones by their Gen-X parents, and now facing a frightening housing and employment market, this generation badly needs hope. They are not getting it from politicians, nor from doom-peddlers like Greta Thunberg or the Gaza mob. Charlie Kirk provided young conservatives, especially young men, the optimism they crave. Watching him debate on college campuses, one could see that so many young students had never encountered an opposing voice, let alone one who was polite and prepared. I have listened to Kirk many times and find the caricature of him by the Left and its pet media to be risible, yet deliberate. His views on guns, crime, family, economics, gender ideology, and foreign affairs are normal opinions shared by half the country... While many of us share Kirk’s convictions, few of us have his physical courage to go open heart and open microphone into the lion’s den of intolerant progressivism and invite a debate.  Charlie’s loss is huge for those who loved him, but it will be incalculable to those who will never get a chance to hear him speak in person and, just maybe, change their minds"

American AF πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on X - "Keith Olbermann DEFENDS Charlie Kirk’s assassln, Tyler Robinson, by saying “it was simply a man protecting someone he loved” πŸ‘€"
The left think words they hate are violence, then accuse other people of 'white fragility' when they disagree with them

Keith Olbermann on X - "Burn in hell, Sinclair. Alongside Charlie Kirk."
Matt Walsh on X - "Keith, you are already living in Hell. Old, unemployed, irrelevant. Fired from every job you ever had. Unmarried and childless. Spending your final years alone, shitposting into the void, begging to be noticed. When you die you will leave behind no legacy and there will be nobody to mourn you or even remember that you existed. Truly, I would rather be dead than live your life. I cannot imagine the misery that you feel every second of the day. And you deserve all of it."

Wall Street Mav on X - "“you deserve to be shot for your opinions.”
“Why am I being fired for my opinions?”"

Clandestine on X - "I don’t get personal often, but I’m going to share the moment I became truly radicalized:  2018, I’m 25 years old, and my brainwashed liberal girlfriend wanted to go to the Burning Man exhibit at the Renwick Gallery in DC.  Inside the museum, there was a room where you could write wishes on the walls with chalk, as part of an interactive art exhibit. It’s a re-creation of the “before I die” board they put up at Burning Man, where people list things they want to do before they die.  As an undercover Trump-supporting Libertarian at the time, I was horrified by the hateful and terrible things I saw all these leftists writing on the wall. Most things were normal wishes, but there were large portions of hateful wishes, like wishing for Trump to die, talking about punching Nazis (Trump supporters), blaming White people for racism, etc.  Then I saw a line that said “Before I die, I want to bury the last Republican”.  I turned to my girlfriend at the time, and pointed out how this was fucked up, and she looked me dead in the eye, and said she agreed with wanting to “bury the last Republican” and what she saw on the walls.  I told her I was going to erase it, and she grabbed me and told me not to disturb this “safe space” and art exhibit….  In that moment, I saw pure evil in the eyes of someone I thought I loved. In a fit of rage, I began using my hands to smear/erase all the hateful and vile comments on the chalkboards in this silent room, while my girlfriend tried to stop me and onlookers gasped.  I stormed out of the Renwick Gallery, waited outside for my girlfriend, and she was livid that I ruined an interactive art piece at a museum, and she was infuriated that she found out her boyfriend was a silent Trump supporter. In that moment, I accepted they my life as I knew it was over. I called an Uber, went home, never been the same since.  That day, I truly learned these leftists were sick and disgusting people, and there is no saving them. Since that moment, I have been hellbent on exposing how evil these people are, and that evil exposed itself again yesterday in the form of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.  I’ve been radicalized this whole time because I’ve been living in Northern Virginia/Maryland/DC this whole time. I’ve been living in the belly of the beast, and if you haven’t seen these people up close, you don’t know their true hatred.  These people are truly sick."

SEEN in Journalism on X - "The @guardian has published this nauseating ‘profile’ of Charlie Kirk ‘His career had also been marked by the promotion of misinformation, divisive rhetoric and conspiracy theories..his views had consistently baited and provoked the left"
