Links - 16th September 2025 (1 - Pro-Crime Policies [including Jordan Neely])

Defense pathologist says Jordan Neely didn't die of chokehold on NYC subway - "Jordan Neely died from the “combined effects” of a number of a factors, not a chokehold, a forensic pathologist hired by Daniel Penny’s attorneys testified... Dr. Satish Chundru took the stand as the second expert witness for the defense team, which is trying to refute testimony from a New York City medical examiner who ruled that Neely died from compression to his neck as a result of a chokehold.  Chundru, a forensic pathologist and consultant who said he has worked as a medical examiner for counties in Florida and Texas, said he has conducted more than 9,000 autopsies. He said the defense retained him a little over two weeks after Neely’s killing."

Mehdi Hasan on X - "Imagine, just imagine, if Jordan Neely had been white and Daniel Penny was black Imagine what some of the folks defending Penny today would be saying. Just imagine."
pagliacci the hated 🌝 on X - "“iMaGiNe iF DAnIeL PeNnY wAs BLack” we don’t have to imagine. last year, a black man named Jordan Williams killed an aggressive vagrant on the J train in an attempt to protect other passengers. he was arrested on manslaughter charges, but a grand jury refused to indict him.
Williams stabbed the homeless man on June 13, 2023 - just one day before Penny was indicted for killing Neely.  Williams walked free less than one month after being charged.  For Penny it took over a year, and he faced the very real risk of imprisonment.
the wildest part?  despite ostensibly having done the exact same thing (if not worse because he used an illegal weapon), Williams said he hoped Penny would be convicted 😭"

Wilfred Reilly on X - "Best line from the Daniel Penny trial.
A: "So, what did Mr. Neely say, to make you think he might be a threat?"
B: "I'll hurt everyone here! I'll KILL you!!! I don't care if I go to prison!!!""

Meme - John Podhoretz @jpodhoretz: "Actual in print NYT headline about Penny acquittal, in case you were wondering what a garbage newspaper is"
"JURY ACQUITS MAN WHO WAS CHOKING RIDER ON SUBWAY. CLEARED OF HOMICIDE. Split Reaction in a Case Reflecting Tensions In New York City"

zerohedge on X: - *UNITEDHEALTH CEO BRIAN THOMPSON FATALLY SHOT IN MIDTOWN: PIX11"
Sean Davis on X - "Targeted assassinations are happening in the middle of New York City, so obviously the city prosecutor is focused on imprisoning a Good Samaritan who had the audacity to protect a train full of people from a nutjob."

Jordan Neely had drugs in his system at time of death: medical examiner - "A medical examiner testified Friday in the New York City manslaughter trial of former Marine Daniel Penny that Jordan Neely had drugs in his system when he died.  Dr. Cynthia Harris took the stand and said that Neely died of asphyxiation due to neck compression but revealed that a toxicology report indicated the presence of drugs in Neely’s system. Harris identified the substance as a “synthetic cannabinoid,” but did not specify the exact compound or dosage... During her testimony, Harris noted there was no damage to Neely’s chin, neck bones, or other midline structures... Case notes that were introduced as evidence also suspected cardiac arrest as Neely did not have “visible trauma.” The examiner added that the drugs in his system “would not help the heart” during the struggle with Penny."

Video makes clear that Jordan Neely died from fatal chokehold, even if he had enough drugs in his system to 'put down an elephant': ME - "Harris’ testimony came during cross-examination by Penny’s defense attorneys, who questioned her about initially saying on Neely’s death certificate that his cause of death was “inconclusive.”...   Harris said that she reached her conclusion before receiving Neely’s toxicology report.  The report ultimately showed that Neely, who jurors have heard had a history of abusing the synthetic marijuana drug K2, had the drug in his system when he died.  But Harris said that she would have found the chokehold caused Neely’s death even if it turned out he had “enough fentanyl in his system to put down an elephant.”...   Penny’s attorneys have argued that his actions were justified to restrain Neely, whose “unhinged” and “belligerent” rant was so frightening, according to one witness, that she moved her stroller in front of her 5-year-old to protect him."

Daniel Penny stands stoic in court at Jordan Neely trial - "  “We pass people like Jordan Neely everyday … as New Yorkers we train ourselves not to engage. Not to make eye contact. To pretend that people like Jordan Neely are not there. “  And on May 1, 2023, “Jordan Neely demanded to be seen,” she said adding that his “actions that day scared many” on the train.   As a regular subway rider who has been in a pepper spray scrum, assaulted and physically threatened many times, I’d say petrified is a better adjective. Even if we weren’t physically in that car, we know that terror.  Defense attorney Thomas Kenniff said Neeley was “seething, psychotic” and filled with “unhinged rage.” He lunged at women and a mother jumped in front of her baby carriage. He said he was ready to go to Rikers and threatened to kill."
Amazing. So you can terrorise people on public transport. Left wingers want to force everyone to use public transit, but they want criminals to be free to make it a miserable and even unsafe experience

Daily Mail Online on X - "Daniel Penny court bombshell: Homeless man still had a pulse after chokehold that prosecutors say killed him"
pagliacci the hated 🌝 on X - "So there you have it. Neely was alive when the NYPD arrived. He died well after police got there. Officers were too grossed out to give him aid because he was dirty. The NYPD wanted to let Penny be crucified to avoid responsibility. Penny should sue them into dust.
something I noticed from another article on this was that 20 of Neely’s family members have crawled out from under a rock to participate in the trial.   this seems to happen frequently with “BLM” cases.   a miscreant felon or hopeless drug addict will die in police or civilian custody, and POOF this person who never had any social support whatsoever will suddenly be championed by 49 uncles and cousins who are now inconsolably traumatized by his loss.  I know it’s just money grubbiness masked as care, but dear Lord lmaooo how shameless do you have to be to roll out of bed to pretend to cry in hopes you’ll get a paycheck?   And I also know journalists are trash, but does not a single one think to ask these people “where were you all these years while your brother/cousin/son/nephew was screaming about how hungry and thirsty he was on the F train?”"

Man who helped Daniel Penny pin down Jordan Neely testifies at Marine vet's trial - "The subway rider seen on video helping Marine vet Daniel Penny hold down Jordan Neely after an outburst on a Manhattan train took the witness stand and revealed he lied to District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office when investigators first interviewed him.  Eric Gonzales, a 39-year-old father of two, gave testimony during Penny's trial Tuesday after prosecutors agreed not to charge him in exchange for testifying in Penny's manslaughter trial, telling the court he said aloud that the former serviceman was not squeezing "tight enough" during the altercation.  "He’s their main witness, and his credibility was shot after being confronted with this," said David Gelman, a Philadelphia-area defense attorney and former prosecutor who has been closely following the case... He said part of the concern as the two held Neely down was that he might "fight or escape" before police arrived. He remembered telling detectives that Penny was restraining but not choking Neely, but on the stand backtracked and said he had only made "an assumption" and that Penny's arm was "against his neck."  At some point, Neely went limp, and he let go. Penny let go shortly thereafter, Gonzales testified. He said he checked for a pulse and found one before stepping away... Gonzales also said he's still scared about testifying despite the prosecution's immunity offer – saying he believes he or his family could be harmed if he testifies in favor of Penny.  "The DA is making this a race case," Gelman said. "So they are thinking, OK we know there are issues here including weak witnesses and others who are contradicting the DA narrative, but the person who died is Black because of a White man. We will roll the dice."

Mayor Eric Adams defends Daniel Penny in subway chokehold case, slams media scolds trying to prosecute him in the press - "  Adams, who has taken more of a moderate approach to messaging as of late, later commented on the mental health crisis in the city, “Then you look at the complete failure of our mental health system, a complete failure from the days of closing psychiatric wards and having those who needed help just turned over into the street without giving any safety net to accept them."  “Look at the photo that they used to show the victim,” Adams said of the media's portrayal of Neely in criticism. “It seemed like it was a young innocent child who was brutally murdered, and it gave that impression when you look at the photo that was being used. It wanted to set up in the minds of people that we were dealing with a young innocent child that was, you know, just a Michael Jackson [impersonator]." When police arrived on the scene, Penny released Neely, who was found still alive, with a pulse. Officers said they did not attempt to resuscitate him over fears they would contract hepatitis. Witnesses also said that Neely had soiled pants and that women were sheltering their children from him as he made threats and ranted."

captive dreamer on X - "The Daniel Penny saga just gets more and more insane: at the time of his death, there was a warrant out for Jordan Neely's arrest - get this - for the assault of a woman on the subway. How this even went to trial is beyond me."

Daniel Penny found not guilty in NYC subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely

Meme - NAACP @NAACP: "The acquittal of Daniel Penny in the death of Jordan Neely has effectively given license for vigilante justice to be waged on the Black community without consequence.  It's a painful reminder of the inequities in our justice system. Jordan deserved compassion. Instead, he was met with violence.  We stand with his family in calling for accountability."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know: "Daniel Penny did not act alone in defending himself and others from Neely. A black man can be clearly seen assisting Penny to subdue Neely. Ablack woman testified in defense of Penny. There is no evidence that Penny was motivated by race."

Steven Rattner on X - "Violent crime has declined by 26% since Trump’s last year in office — quite the opposite of “through the roof”. @Morning_Joe"
Lafayette Lee on X - "What if I told you that participation in the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program is completely voluntary and starting in 2021, 37% of police departments stopped reporting crime data to the FBI, including Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York…"

Owen Gregorian on X - "The FBI data is wonky. There are two broad crime measures--the FBI's data (NIBRS) and the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS).  These are of course different measures, one comes from police reporting in to the FBI and whatever the FBI does to it, the other is a survey of crime victims and includes both reported and unreported crime.  Prior to 2020, these two measures were highly correlated--when one went up or down, the other did too.  After 2020, they became NEGATIVELY correlated--when one went down (FBI), the other went up (NCVS), in an almost perfectly negative correlation.  In 2022 for example, the FBI said there was a 2.1% drop in violent crime, but the NCVS went up by 42.4%! This is the largest ever annual increase in the NCVS in history.  2021, similar story. FBI said violent crime dropped by 2%, NCVS said violent crime went up 13.6%.  Some of this may be due to certain cities not reporting data to the FBI, or not fully reporting it--but there are also cases where the FBI undercounts what is reported. For example, Baltimore reported 262 murders in 2023, but the FBI shows 225 murders in Baltimore that year.  Nashville's data showed more than 6,900 aggravated assauts in 2023, but for some reason the FBI shows that number as 5,941. This undercounting seems to be done consistently by the FBI."

Meme - "Communist "justice"
During the Cultural Revolution in China and Soviet rule in the USSR the people in power implemented a two-tiered legal system which would fight and persecute law-abiding citizens while protecting low- level criminals.
Sound familiar?
The objective of this policy was to keep the populace in fear and compliance by giving de facto legal immunity to criminals who would cause chaos and work on the behalf of the ruling regime (e.g. Red Guard) while prohibiting active self-defense (USSR). The rationale for a two-tier legal system was that such criminals helped move the "revolution" forward while law-abiding citizens did not. The latter were implicitly treated as "counter-revolutionaries" who must be purged. In order to move a country towards socialism, society needed to be first unburdened by its past and culture (i.e. Destroying The Four Olds in the Cultural Revolution), which required things to be broken like social trust, family bonds, and protection of private property. In the West, Columbia professor Herbert Marcuse and father of the New Left movement proposed implementing the same system, calling it "Liberating Tolerance." Marcuse's most famous doctoral student is Angela Davis, an ally of Jim Jones (Jonestown Massacre) and who now spearheads the prison abolition movement in the United States."

Liberal-Appointed Superior Court Judge: "You arrested a suspended driver who was already out on bail for drug charges. Then you found a loaded gun in his car. But you secured his phone while he was in custody in the back of your cruiser? That's unlawful. In fact, it's systemically racist. Case dismissed. Charges withdrawn. The entire police service is the problem."
Liberal Public Safety Minister: "We're bringing in new powers to let the government search your mail and digital data, no warrant needed. Don't worry about bail reform or repeat violent offenders walking free. That's not urgent. This is the key to public safety.""

Murder charge dropped against Milton, Ont. man who shot home intruder - "A Milton, Ont. man formerly accused of killing a home intruder earlier this year no longer faces a charge of second-degree murder.  On Monday, the Crown withdrew the charge against Ali Mian, 21, in a Milton courtroom, Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General confirmed to CBC Toronto.  Mian was originally charged in connection with a shooting in the early morning hours of Feb. 19 at his home in the area of Ontario Street South and Louis St. Laurent Avenue.   Halton Regional Police previously said a man was found dead at the scene. Another man, a 20-year-old from Oshawa, was arrested at the home and charged with breaking and entering and unauthorized possession of a firearm. Three other suspects fled the scene... Virk had said previously that the shooting was not targeted and that his client was a registered firearm owner, who "used his gun legally against an armed intruder."  In a statement, he said: "He shouldn't be charged with murder for protecting his mother from someone that broke into his home.  "His intention was not to kill the intruder, he only shot at him once. We are all saddened that the intruder passed away as a result of being shot."  On Monday, Virk said Mian no longer lives at the home and is still a registered firearm owner. Ari Goldkind, a criminal defence lawyer, said the case appears to be a clear-cut case of self defence"

Halton police arrest 2 auto theft suspects in Oakville - "Halton’s police chief is calling for “meaningful deterrents” after officers arrested an auto theft suspect in Oakville four days after he was released on bail for similar charges in York Region... “Time and time again, our officers and the public we serve face the dangers of stolen autos and the criminals behind the wheel who will stop at nothing as they attempt to evade police,” said Halton police Chief Stephen Tanner in a release. “Again, in this case, it involved the arrest of an individual released on bail four days earlier for similar offences. There needs to be meaningful deterrents to these highly profitable and extremely dangerous crimes.  “As long as the gains outweigh the risks, and organized groups continue to profit from this lucrative crime by shipping stolen vehicles out of the country through our large shipping ports, we should not expect it to stop. Steal a car, through a home invasion or otherwise, get arrested, get released, and repeat the cycle again,” Tanner added.  “This is not simply a property crime with huge economic impacts on victims and on all Canadians. Every single stolen vehicle is a potentially deadly situation for front-line officers and for our citizens. It’s far past the time to cut off the ability to export stolen vehicles and to hold these criminals accountable in meaningful ways.”"
Obviously we need to let them out on bail again

iamyesyouareno on X - "Why was this “eight-time felon” not in prison yet? Must be that systemic racism I keep hearing about."
Chicago woman, 61, is left BRAIN DEAD after being punched and stomped on the head on train 'by eight-time felon who wanted to steal her purse' - "A Chicago woman has been left brain dead after she was viciously beaten by an eight-time felon, police said.  The woman, 61, who has not been identified, was riding the CTA Red Line on January 4 when she was targeted by two men - one of whom was allegedly convicted criminal Mijawon Johnson, 36.   As they attempted to steal her purse, Johnson pinned the woman to a seat and repeatedly punched and stomped her head and stomach, and jumped on her 'with all of his weight', prosecutors said.  Johnson was on parole for armed robbery at the time of the attack, has served six stints in prison and now faces charges including attempted murder - which could be upgraded as the woman is not expected to survive... The attack has sparked outrage among the community, with many questioning why Johnson was on the streets considering his violent criminal history.   At the time of the train attack, Johnson was on parole following his release from prison in August, after serving half of a six-year prison stretch for armed robbery."

Dane on X - "Eight years ago today, a homeless man, Arthur William Bloxham, was sleeping under a bridge when a pack of demons surrounded Bill to assault him.   Tremayne Butler, Treshawn Plater, Decorious Roundtree, and two others left a convenience store they just robbed when they noticed Bill huddled under an overpass trying to stay out of the weather.  That's when they attacked. Decorious took off his shoes and pants and stole his wallet. One of the younger unnamed demons went back and kicked the lonely 59-year-old in the head until blood started pouring out of his nose, ears and eyes. Bill stumbled into a Hardy's and collapsed in the bathroom.  The murderers came away from the premediated attack with about $40 which they used to buy weed and alcohol. Bill suffered serious brain injuries, loss of vision, and a collapsed lung; his medical bills totaled well over a half million dollars. After 2 months in intensive care, Bill died.  Decorious later claimed they thought Bill called them all a racial slur, which is why Bill needed to be beat to death. Arthur William Bloxham had no ill will for people, he didn't know the attackers and didn't have an unfriendly word for anyone.   A waitress at the Hardy's where Bill finally collapsed said, "If old Bill had $5 and you needed it, he'd be the first person to offer you a hand, a truly gentle and giving soul".  The longest sentence handed out was 39 months for murdering Bill. Two of them got 33 months for premeditated murder, two more unnamed thugs got "counseling"."
Of course, race is important

Quebec police: Don't share images of porch pirates online : r/Canada_sub - "I'm baffled why the cops seem to react with 10x more importance to posting pictures of criminals caught on camera than to actual crime. Like, fine if the cops are useless we'll take matters into our own hands but it's literally them protecting criminals."

New York Post on X - "Metro-North rider stabbed in chest after complaining about loud music on passenger’s phone"
Rafael A. Mangual on X - "As I’ve said repeatedly: Engagement in obviously antisocial behavior in public settings—like playing music on a speaker when no one asked to hear it—is often an expression of power backed by the threat of violence. The punk with the speaker is daring you to say something, and gets off on everyone’s silence insofar as it confirms his self-identity as tough guy."
LindyMan on X - "People in the comments are saying "how do we stop this?" You don't. There's no policy to deter someone stabbing another person after being told to lower the volume on their phone. They don't care the consequences or the police. You just have to aggressively gentrify your city more and wait for population replacement"
Alex Valaitis on X - "L take. Literally just enforce the law. Dude probably had a rap sheet of dozens of crimes, like this other guy from this week. Actually punish criminals for their crimes and they won't feel emboldened to keep doing them (Or won't be on streets to do it"

"JAMAR BANKS HAS BEEN ARRESTED 87 TIMES FOR ATTACKING NEW YORKERS. The 57-year-old man's more notable crimes include shooting a Bronx man in the street in 1997, stabbing a McDonald's customer in 2015, stabbing a subway passenger in 2022, and most recently stabbing a man on the train on January 1st and and MTA employee the following day.
