Links - 19th August 2025 (2 - Hamas Attack Oct 2023)

Hamas gambles with Gaza’s future, leaving Israel with the blame - "as hunger deepens, Hamas delays. It dithers over clauses, sends out positive signals only to later walk them back. It acts as though it’s negotiating the purchase of a house, where another day, another week, another month doesn’t really matter... the longer it delays, the more the spotlight shifts – not toward Hamas, but toward Israel. Around the world, television screens fill with images of malnourished Gaza babies and desperate crowds fighting over sacks of flour. So what does the world do in response? It places nearly all the blame and responsibility on Israel, as though Hamas has nothing to do with the dire food shortages. And in so doing, the international community only prolongs the suffering. Because each angry UN condemnation, each news report that shows scenes of devastation without critical context, each harsh statement from Western democracies, gives Hamas oxygen. And with that oxygen, Hamas calculates that by dragging this out longer – by letting the death toll tick higher and the images get grimmer – the world will eventually force Israel’s hand... other countries come in. Some – let’s give Canada and Italy the benefit of the doubt – well-meaning. Others, like Spain, Ireland, and Slovenia, driven by their governments’ unceasingly anti-Israel bias. And what do they do? They issue one-sided statements condemning Israel. Hamas? Barely a mention. Israel? Condemned outright and responsible for everything... of course, there is the pledge of allegiance to a two-state solution and the obligatory condemnation of settlements and “settler violence,” with no word, of course, of Palestinian violence in Judea and Samaria. It’s almost as if they don’t care whether Hamas remains in power... HAMAS, NO fool, saw an opportunity and seized it, issuing a statement praising the signatories... This pattern is not new. Just two months ago, a similar statement – this time from Canada, the UK, and France, threatening sanctions against Israel – coincided with sensitive negotiations and was quickly lauded by Hamas. Once again, one-sided international condemnation of Israel gave Hamas a reason to stall. Today, with negotiations at another critical juncture, history repeats itself: as soon as diplomatic progress seems possible, a wave of external pressure targets Israel, Hamas publicly celebrates, and the incentive for it to compromise disappears. The underlying dynamic is the same – international actors, whether intentionally or not, are providing Hamas both political cover and motivation to prolong the conflict... “On May 7, there was a deal on the table that gave Hamas 85% of everything it wanted that could have stopped the war the next day, but Hamas did not answer,” he said, until six weeks later, when it “fundamentally changed the whole thing.” Back to the drawing board. Then on August 16, another deal was offered, this time one that “had about 95% of what Hamas wanted, and again they did not say yes, they did not answer.” McGurk’s bottom line: “This war could have stopped at multiple times, if Hamas stopped the war and released hostages.”... the claim that Israel – not Hamas – is the main obstacle to a deal contradicts what key figures directly involved in the negotiations are saying. Not only in the past, but also now. And these aren’t anonymous sources with agendas; they are senior officials speaking publicly and on the record. People like Biden’s former NSC spokesman John Kirby and former secretary of state Antony Blinken, who have placed the blame squarely on Hamas. In a January parting interview with The New York Times, Blinken was asked whether Netanyahu blocked a ceasefire last July that could have led to the hostages’ release. His reply: “No, that’s not accurate. What we’ve seen time and again is Hamas not concluding a deal that it should have concluded.”... even Bishara Bahbah – the Palestinian-American businessman serving as the informal envoy between Hamas, Qatar, and the US – called out Hamas on social media"
Terrorism supporters just blame Israel for Hamas refusing to agree to ceasefires, of course

'Chilling effect': Organizations say York Region paramedic firing impacting freedom of expression - "Unions and other organizations are rallying around a York Region paramedic fired for a Facebook post about Israel and Palestine as the municipality refuses to reinstate her. Katherine Grzejszczak made her first public statements since being fired June 20 over concerns about a post she made criticizing Israel's actions in Gaza"
Luckily she didn't do something really horrific, like point out that no residential school mass graves have been discovered since the moral panic. Because we know freedom of expression is only to push the left wing agenda
Weird. Left wingers used to claim that freedom of speech didn't mean freedom from consequences

Casey Babb: Canada doesn't need an antisemitism or Islamophobia czar - "Deborah Lyons, Canada’s special envoy on preserving Holocaust remembrance and combating antisemitism, abruptly retired... While she was expected to hold the position for another few months, until October 2025, she decided “ with a heavy heart ,” to step down early... Lyons has said that “every day” she was “waking up to a fight,” that she had to deal with “a lot of angry people … all the time,” often feeling “despondent and despairing” over how reluctant Canadians were to speak up in support of the country’s Jewish population. Of course, criticism of Lyons is understandable. While in her post to combat antisemitism, the situation for Jews in Canada has worsened precipitously. But for Lyons, many of the obstacles she encountered were systemically, institutionally, socially and culturally beyond her control or influence. One glaring issue that likely made Lyons’ job more challenging, however, was what appeared to be the relentless counter-efforts made by Amira Elghawaby, Canada’s special representative on combating Islamophobia. Rather than focusing on things like peace-building, reconciliation and creating a united front between Jews and Muslims to counter all forms of hatred and bigotry, Elghawaby spent (and continues to spend) most of her attention on things like “anti-Palestinian racism,” vilifying the only Jewish country in the world (there are approximately 50 Muslim majority nations, by the way), and fuelling the fabricated belief among average Canadians that antisemitism and anti-Muslim bigotry run and exist on parallel tracks, when of course, they most certainly do not. Further, while Lyons repeatedly acknowledged the hostages, the victims of October 7, including the eight Canadians murdered by Hamas, and condemned Hamas and other Islamic terrorist organizations, Elghawaby has — for the most part — acted as though October 7 didn’t happen. Indeed, when she has acknowledged that something did happen on that awful day, it’s always been done in such a way that a moral equivalence is drawn between Israelis who were the victims of a genocidal attack and Palestinians. For Elghawaby, the only thing more elusive than Palestinian sovereignty and autonomy is the responsibility of Palestinian terrorists and Palestinian leadership. Carry out barbaric crimes, start wars, claim victimhood when there’s a response — rinse and repeat. This has been the way Palestinian leaders have operated for nearly a century — even predating the concept of Palestinian identity, which only came into existence in the 1960s and ’70s. All told, this disconnect between the positions of Canada’s special envoy on preserving Holocaust remembrance and combating antisemitism and its special representative on combating Islamophobia has rendered them not just futile, but problematic. Never in our nation’s history have we so desperately needed moral fortitude, truth tellers and courageous religious and community leaders to come together and face hard truths in unison. Yet for the last two years, this need has been met not just with inefficiencies and obstacles, but what feels like deliberate attempts to undermine relations not just between Jews and Muslims, but between Jews and everyone else. Canada is at an inflection point — socially, culturally, politically and economically. Major issues could improve in these spheres — or gradually worsen over time as they have been now for many years. It is therefore imperative that every dollar and initiative be spent and developed with prosperity and unity in mind — not the indulgence of endless grievances, the infantilization of entire peoples and the notion that our country can only be unburdened of our sins by relentlessly confirming our guilt."
Talking about October 7 is Islamophobia, after all

Lack of action on Gaza erodes Muslims' sense of belonging in Canada: envoy - "Ottawa's approach to the war in Gaza is eroding many Muslim-Canadians' "sense of belonging" in this country, says the federal special representative on combating Islamophobia. "This ongoing, horrifying situation is deeply, deeply damaging the sense of belonging that people feel," Amira Elghawaby said"
Anyone suggesting Muslims have dual loyalty is racist and Islamophobic

Sa'ar: European FMs admit pressure on Israel was a mistake, emboldens Hamas - "Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar on Tuesday said that “more than one European foreign minister” has told him that signing the letter condemning Israel’s war in Gaza was a mistake, and it emboldened Hamas’s stance in ceasefire talks... Regarding the recognition of Palestinian statehood, Sa’ar said, “Establishing a Palestinian state today is establishing a Hamas state, a jihadist state.”"

Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt sign declaration calling for Hamas to disarm, leave Gaza at UN 2-state confab - "Arab countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, have signed onto a statement calling for Hamas to disarm and end its rule of Gaza, in a bid to end the devastating war in the Palestinian territory... “In the context of ending the war in Gaza, Hamas must end its rule in Gaza and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, with international engagement and support, in line with the objective of a sovereign and independent Palestinian State,” says the declaration. The text also condemns the deadly Hamas attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023, which launched the war."
Damn Zionist infiltration! How can they be so ignorant and not know that the solution is for Israel to agree to all of Hamas's demands, then disarm and let Hamas destroy it?!

French court rules all Palestinians in Gaza are eligible for asylum - "Henda Ayari, a former Muslim turned anti-Islamist activist and women’s rights campaigner, took to X to voice strong opposition, warning that the ruling is another example of the government and judiciary ignoring the French people and avoiding debate. “France is in the process of importing an explosive communal conflict, with individuals fuelled by hatred for Israel, the West, freedom, and our values,” she said. “And once again, it’s up to us to suffer. To pay. To stay silent.” She went further, saying the French people must demand a national referendum on the issue and that it isn’t the duty of the nation to save “all the populations living in conflict-ridden countries.” “If nothing changes, chaos will take hold in our country,” she stated. “France will follow the same path as Lebanon, a fractured country undermined by imported conflicts and communal divisions. “France must remain France.”"
Weird. We're told that it's right and proper that Egypt doesn't allow Gazans in, because that would allow Israel to ethnically cleanse the Gaza Strip. Yet, we're also told that Western countries have a duty to allow all Gazans in.

Dumisani Washington on X - "Observe how all these journalists and influencers wringing their hands about an IDF genocide in Gaza (which doesn't exist) report on no other geopolitical conflict. None. Israel is the only foreign nation that exists. Millions slaughtered, displaced or enslaved across the same African/Middle Eastern region, and these brave voices are dead silent. That's called Jew-hatred, ladies and gentlemen."

Willy Lowry on X - "Sam Husseini forcibly removed from the briefing room after interrupting Blinken’s final press conference. @TheNationalNews"
Dumisani Washington on X - "This is the same Hamas tactic that jihadist supporting college student groups have been using for nearly 20 years. Yell and scream to disrupt the meeting, then claim victim when you get kicked out. I’m no Tony Blinken fan and he and the Obama 3rd term can’t leave soon enough. But this ‘journalist’ is no hero. — and there’s no ‘genocide’ taking place in Gaza. That would be Sudan, Nigeria, and Syria to name a few places. Grow the hell up."

Facebook - "Karim Khan, the ICC Chief Prosecutor who charged Israel's Prime Minister and Defense Minister on genocide charges rushed to Damascus to embrace Ahmed al-Shara'a, an ISIS-Al Qaida terrorist who, until recently, had a $10M bounty on his head for carrying out an actual genocide. What a twisted sick world we live in!"

Billy Meredith on X - "Meanwhile at the @glastonbury music festival…. The ultimate leftist middle class activity is to raise the flag of the people who massacred music festival goers whilst attending a music festival….🤷‍♂️ #Gaza #Hamas #Palestine #Israel"

Kneecap are proof that the hypocritical Left won’t cancel their own - "Back in 1992, an English rock band you’ve probably never heard of and certainly won’t remember named Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine was banned from Glastonbury for life. Annoyed that the previous act had overrun by 20 minutes, the guitarist had decided to “slag off” Michael Eavis – the founder of the world-famous music festival – on stage, and following “a tense exchange in the dressing room afterwards”, the band was slapped with a formal, lifelong ban. I’m sharing this piece of trivia because I think it’s important for us to establish what will earn you a ban from Glastonbury’s organisers. Because the Left’s selective morality can be confusing. And because when you find out that a hip-hop trio, Kneecap, has been included in this year’s festival lineup despite one of its members, Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, having been charged with a terror offence for allegedly waving the Hezbollah flag on stage (which the band has previously denied), it’s useful to break down precisely what’s acceptable and what’s not in this alternate universe... Counter-terrorism police have also assessed a video of the band at a November 2023 gig appearing to show one member of Kneecap saying: “The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP.” In their defence, the band claimed the footage had been “taken out of all context”, but I would dearly love to know which context might exculpate such a statement? I’m sure the families of Jo Cox and David Amess, who the band subsequently apologised to, would be keen to know too. Is that how selective morality works? What’s remarkable is how quiet certain sectors have been on this subject since Glastonbury’s lineup was announced. It’s only because Kemi Badenoch has repeatedly spoken out, both about the festival’s decision to include the band in the first place and then the BBC’s determination to air the performance (and “reward extremism”, as Badenoch rightly puts it), that outrage has belatedly started to build. It took The Sun asking Sir Keir Starmer at the weekend whether he believed the trio should be performing for the Prime Minister to admit: “No…I don’t think that’s appropriate.” Badenoch has, in fact, been on the Kneecap case for some time. And here’s where you should stop reading if you suffer from high blood pressure – because it turns out that the government has been funding the band for years. Of course it has. With Kneecap’s ferocious anti-establishment beliefs apparently not extending to the pocketing of gratuitous payouts, the band applied for an arts grant in 2023 – and was successful. When Badenoch, then business secretary, tried to block the grant, the band took her to court and won. Of course it did. To date, Kneecap has reportedly received as much as £1.6 million in taxpayer cash. We may accept all of this without demur, but when Kneecap played at Coachella in April, US audiences were shocked by their shouts of “F--k Israel.” While many called for their visas to be revoked, the organisers of Israel’s Nova music festival responded with a serene statement. Admitting that their community was “deeply hurt” by the band’s behaviour, they invited Kneecap to visit an exhibition about the victims and survivors: “not to shame or silence but to connect.” These people must have bigger hearts than me, because I think shaming and silencing may be the only option."

Jewish Harvard students spit on, heckled with 'heil Hitler' while university turned a blind eye, shock Trump admin report says - "Jewish students at Harvard were spat on for wearing yarmulkes, stalked and subjected to chants of “Heil Hitler” — and the Ivy League university was either “deliberately indifferent” or even a “willful participant” in the antisemitic abuse, according to a shocking report released by the Trump administration on Monday. More than a quarter of the students reported feeling physically unsafe, and nearly 60% said they experienced “discrimination, stereotyping, or negative bias on campus” in the wake of the Oct. 7, 2023 terror attack on Israel, according to meetings with more than 500 Jewish students conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services. Nearly 75% of Jewish students said they felt uncomfortable sharing their political opinions on campus... The report cited alarming categories of behavior that reportedly took place on campus, which constitute a “pattern of unlawful and unchecked discrimination” at the university. Among those were direct student-on-student harassment, targeted harassment by student groups, exclusion from campus spaces and institutional-level acceptance of antisemitism. The findings of the report have been backed up by a lawsuit filed against the university by a group of Jewish students who said they started to avoid public spaces so as not to be harassed, one student who said he was followed and heckled by anti-Israel protesters, and another who was assaulted by two grad students at an anti-Israel protest. There has also been repeated antisemitic vandalism at Harvard, including last October, when the Hillel center was covered in stickers that replaced the Star of David on the Israeli flag with swastikas. Such incidents, the report claims, “went unheeded” by the university."
The Zionists are trying to suppress pro-Palestinian speech again!

What we know about the Jewish museum tragedy that left Israeli Embassy staffers dead - "The accused gunman, Elias Rodriguez, faces several federal murder charges... Rodriguez told police he was inspired by a US airman who died last year after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, to draw attention to the war in Gaza, prosecutors said in court documents. The man, Rodriguez said, was a “martyr.” A CNN review of interviews and writings linked to Rodriguez found that he has a history of political activism, including denouncing corporate power, US military actions and police abuses. Over the years, Rodriguez has allied publicly with several leftist groups in the Chicago area. A GoFundMe page – that was created in August 2017 and included his photo – sought donations so Rodriguez could attend the People’s Congress of Resistance in DC, an anti-Trump protest event during President Donald Trump’s first term... Officials have identified Sarah Milgrim, 26, and Yaron Lischinsky, 30, as the two Israeli Embassy staffers killed in Wednesday’s shooting... Milgrim, a 2021 graduate of the University of Kansas who earned her master’s degree from American University in 2023, started working at the embassy shortly after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks in Israel. She helped coordinate a variety of groups’ travels to Israel, including political, religious and others, like visitors studying climate change. Tech2Peace, an organization that provides entrepreneurial training to young Palestinians and Israelis alongside conflict dialogue, described Milgrim as a “a devoted and active volunteer.” “Sarah was a deeply curious person, always seeking to learn and connect. She brought people together with empathy and purpose, and her dedication to building a better future was evident in everything she did. Her voice and spirit will be profoundly missed,” Tech2Peace said... As Milgrim tried to crawl away, Rodriguez allegedly “followed behind her and fired again.” Rodriguez then appeared to reload his firearm as she began to sit up, and, once he reloaded, he allegedly shot at her again, the documents detailed. Eyewitnesses told CNN that Rodriguez had waited for police to arrive before saying he carried out the attack “for Gaza.” Once in custody, the gunman chanted: “Free, free Palestine.”... Rodriguez wore a digital video recording device on the night of the shooting... After his arrest, Rodriguez was questioned by detectives from the DC police. Rodriguez told investigators of his admiration for Aaron Bushnell, the 25-year-old US Air Force member who set himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington in 2024, the law enforcement source said. Bushnell, a self-described pro-Palestinian activist, livestreamed his own death"
Charlottesville shows why we need to jail all members of the "far right" because even a single life lost is intolerable!
Clearly, Trump is responsible for their murders because he allowed the Genocide in Gaza to continue. TIme to impeach him for murder!

Meme - "Eight Canadians were brutally murdered on October 7 and rather than standing with the victims, the Canadian government stands with their murderers. Let that sink in."

Gaza: RSF condemns Hamas’ threats against journalists bombarded by Israel
Hamas Must Cease Intimidation of Palestinian Journalists amid Crackdown on Dissent in Gaza
Gaza journalists speak out about Hamas intimidation, threats, assaults - Committee to Protect Journalists
Terrorism supporters only get upset when terrorists masquerading as 'journalists' get killed, even if it's while they're being terrorists

Meme - "DAY 1: HOLY WAR *fierce Hamas*
DAY 7: HOLY SHIT *crying Hamas and destroyed Gaza*"

Rubio says talks with Hamas fell apart on day Macron announced recognition of Palestinian state - "US Secretary of State says that France’s announcement that it would recognize a Palestinian state led to a breakdown in hostage-ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas and emboldens the Palestinian terror group... “And then you have other people come forward, other countries say, ‘well, if there is not a ceasefire by September, we’re going to recognize a Palestinian state.’ If I’m Hamas, I’d basically conclude let’s not do a ceasefire, we can be rewarded, we can claim it as a victory,” Rubio says. “So those messages, while largely symbolic in their minds, actually have made it harder to get peace and harder to achieve a deal with Hamas,” Rubio says."
Quelle surprise. All the terrorism supporters claim they want peace, but really the kind of peace they're looking for is for Israel to be destroyed

Hamas endgame involves defeating Israel through jihad, taking control of area - "In a recent interview with Al Jazeera, senior Hamas terror leader Ghazi Hamad said, "The initiative by several countries to recognize a Palestinian state is one of the fruits of October 7. Conricus said that such recognition has emboldened them. "They’ve hardened their negotiating stance and made it clear they don’t feel the need to compromise—which, of course, has a direct impact on the lives of the Israeli hostages." U.S.-mediated negotiations aimed at securing a ceasefire and the release of the 50 remaining captives have stalled, with Hamas showing increasing inflexibility, according to officials familiar with the talks. Last month, U.S. special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said Washington was weighing "alternative options" as Hamas "does not appear to be coordinated or acting in good faith." Palestinian affairs analyst Khaled Abu Toameh told Fox News Digital that Hamas’s position has been clear since the start of the war: to prevent Israel from achieving its objectives of removing the terror group from power and rescuing the hostages by force. "It’s important for Hamas to be seen as emerging triumphant. They believe they’ve reached a point of no return. "They know the international community will place the blame on Israel as the casualty toll rises. There is no pressure on Hamas to stop," he added. At the end of the day, Abu Toameh said, Hamas’s long-term strategy is to ensure its continued existence so it can carry on its jihad against Israel. "October 7 was just another phase in this jihad," he said. "It’s a jihad that began shortly after Hamas’s founding, when they unveiled their charter in 1988. The charter explicitly states that this land—the holy land, from the river to the sea—is Muslim-owned and will be liberated through jihad. It didn’t start with October 7, and it won’t end with October 7," Abu Toameh warned. Experts say to understand the terror group is to simply look at its founding charter, which describes the "struggle against the Jews" as "very great and very serious," requiring "all sincere efforts." It calls the Palestinian terror group "one squadron" of a wider Arab and Islamic force that must continue fighting until "the enemy is vanquished and Allah’s victory is realized.""
Jonathan Conricus on X - "This is devoted to all those uneducated or naive westerners who speak about “peace”. As long as Hamas exists and controls territory and Arab minds, the only pause in war will be a short “Hudna” for them to regroup for the next stage in their Jihad against Israel"
