radrenalynn: "I'm guessing the only "violence" here is rejection too. Yet another piece of evidence that terf = lesbian @keebos-metallic-nutsacc you are the ultimate waste of life and  don't deserve the waste of space you occupy"
hayashithead: "All terfs should be raped by both men and women for a year straight, chained down to a bed and fed minimum food to live, not allowed to get up to piss or shit, and be forced to bear the resulting kids, which are then sent to rational, loving families. That way you can be tortured AND possibly give me a future kid for me to love and care for if I choose not to have one biologically"

Call for ‘inclusive’ or ‘open’ leagues for community-level AFL due to safety concerns for older female competitors - "Female footballers say the AFL’s open policy allowing transgender players to compete at a community level is putting women’s safety at risk and trashing fairness.  Critics of the league’s Gender Diversity Policy include the player who established the women’s masters league as well as two trans athletes who agree the policy is unfair.  The AFL first formed a policy in relation to gender-diverse players in 2018, after refusing to allow transgender footballer Hannah Mouncey to enter the AFLW draft the year prior.  The policy imposes strict testosterone and physical testing requirements on trans players designed to dispel perceptions of physical advantages over women. In 2020, the sporting league updated the policy, expanding the requirement for testing to state league competitions such as the VFLW.  But at the community level, which includes the masters competition for women older than 35, anyone who so much as identifies as a woman is allowed to play... Ms Chalmers is troubled to see female players self-excluding and dropping out from the competition due to fears over safety and fairness, as more trans players join the game... Sky News has been told about one masters game where a female player received a black eye members of her team believe was caused by a transgender player... Safety is always front of mind for fellow Melbourne masters player Amanda Reiter-Dando.  The 52-year-old, known as Mini to her teammates due to her petite stature, saw her brother Al - then a promising 16-year-old footy player – spend six months in a coma and left with permanent brain damage after suffering a hit to the side of the head during a game.  “I accepted the risk when I decided to play Aussie rules football and perhaps naively, but I was under the understanding that I was playing against fellow female players,” Ms Reiter-Dando said.  “Do these policies that the AFL have, are they putting me at more risk to injury?”... Tracy Diprose is a 56-year-old player from Gympie in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, who shares similar concerns to the Melbourne players.  “When it’s a contact sport such as AFL, rugby league, rugby union, you don’t want to be contacted by a biological man – it’s just too dangerous,” Ms Diprose said... Sky News spoke to several other concerned players, coaches and families involved in community-level women’s AFL who asked not to be identified out of fear of repercussions, including being labelled bigots... two trans athletes who did not want to go on camera, told Sky News they agreed the AFL’s community-level policy is unfair, one accusing the league of using it to compensate for an exclusionary elite policy.  Women's Forum CEO Rachael Wong says her organisation has been contacted by female players and their parents from around the country alarmed by the policy.  “Forcing women to compete against male athletes with all the physical advantages male puberty brings is patently unfair,” Ms Wong said.  “But even more concerning is that women’s safety is being put at risk, and rather than risking injuries – which are already happening – women are self-excluding, because men who only have to turn up with the right pronouns are being allowed to play.  “It’s ironic that the AFL’s emphasis on inclusivity is in fact excluding women from the game.”  She said concerns had been raised with her organisation about a current 16-year-old female player having to share a changing room with a 29-year-old biological male... Ms Wong believes even the AFL’s gender policy for elite and state levels is too permissive, arguing it should be more in line with the International Rugby League, which has banned transgender athletes from competitions, or  World Rugby, which only allows transgender players who transitioned prior to puberty to play."
Since biology doesn't matter (and we even have the cope that women's sports are segregated because women are better than men and the men don't want to lose) we should just abolish women's sports
So much for there being no harm to using people's preferred pronouns and it just being kindness. It never stops at that

Don't really care whether Kurt Cobain was trans (or if 'estrogen would have saved her') but the people who get really mad at the suggestion of this primarily see being trans as a denigration and are mad because its an insult to suggest someone would be a 'lesser being'
Zara @egirltwink: "no it's just weird to impose an identity on someone who's dead tbh. kurt cobain was just a dude."

Help me. As a teen closeted trans woman, I have violent fantasies about killing people and training to get stronger in order to enact these goals. EVERYONE in my life is out to get me.
As you saw from the title, I believe I am currently a closeted trans woman in high school, finishing up my junior year. I have had fantasies about being a woman, especially sexually, for years, but I've been bottling up these emotions for quite a while. My parents, who are asian, demand excellence from me in both academic and social standards, and to my knowledge, coming out as transgender would probably get me killed or disowned. Over the past few months, I've been struggling with severe procrastination, to the point that I really can't focus on anything anymore. I want to do awesome things this year in terms of academics (compete in science olympiads, do scientific research, etc etc) but for some reason, I really can't focus on anything that I do without getting severely demotivated. On top of that, I routinely get mocked at in school, or at least I think so, It's not the upfront kind of bullying, but more so the sarcastic remarks and weird glances get, along with bitter laughs behind my back. These taunts are not imagined because I can literally hear them, or see it in their eyes. I can just tell when a person means to do me harm, which for some reason recently is more often"

Thread by @MrAndyNgo on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "The Harris campaign held a Zoom "Women for Kamala" fundraiser event featuring Charlotte Clymer, who appeared in a heavily filtered image.  Clymer was previously known as Charles Clymer, a male feminist activist who was kicked out of the movement after being accused of being abusive to women. Since then, he rebranded himself into a self-identified woman named Charlotte who advocates for abortion.  In 2019, Clymer targeted me while working for the trans advocacy group, @HRC. While I was still in hospital suffering from a brain hemorrhage, he said in social media posts that I sought to be assaulted by Antifa. Charles/Charlotte Clymer, the @KamalaHarris surrogate, has a long history of leveraging his Democrat Party connections to bully people.  After allegedly targeting women when he was a male, he then began targeting a small business after suddenly identifying as a woman. In 2018, he sicced thousands on the @CubaLibreDC restaurant because the manager tried to stop him from entering the women's toilets.  Clymer got left-wing media, DC @MayorBowser and @ChelseaClinton to pile on the restaurant.  cc: @elonmusk, the @CubaLibreDC restaurant account was banned in a targeted harassment and reporting campaign by leftists at the time. It remains suspended."

Fast Company promoted a live chat with creepy "male feminist" - "Charles Clymer self-identifies as a "feminist leader," but he's also been accused of verbally abusing women"

Christian Educator Warns Against Religious Persecution After Being Banned From Teaching - "Christian Joshua Sutcliffe, a former mathematics teacher who taught at The Cherwell School in Oxford, has lost his appeal to have a teaching ban removed against him after he “misgendered” a trans-identifying student. Sutcliffe’s trouble began in 2017 after he refused to refer to a female student who identified as a boy by male pronouns. The UK’s Teaching Regulation Agency determined he had breached his safeguarding duties by refusing to use the trans student’s preferred pronouns and calling homosexuality sinful, determining to ban him from teaching. During Sutcliffe’s appeal, Mr. Justice Pepperall ruled that a teacher must “respect and celebrate the pupils’ personal autonomy,” despite the teacher’s religious convictions. He concluded that, “just because misgendering a transgender pupil might not be unlawful does not mean that it is appropriate conduct for a teacher.”  This ruling goes against 2023 guidance drafted by the Conservative government that stated teachers should not be compelled to go against their consciences by referring to a student as something other than their biological sex."

Policy Exchange - Asleep at the Wheel - "A new report by Policy Exchange today reveals that schools are increasingly becoming influenced by gender ideology, to the extent that fundamental safeguarding principles are being compromised by school’s approaches to children with gender distress and their peers.  New research within this report demonstrates that many schools are failing to routinely inform parents when a child discloses gender distress, compromising single-sex spaces, and many are teaching gender identity beliefs within Relationships, Sex & Health Education (RSHE) as if they are facts. Gender affirmative care is prevalent within the school system, despite this being at odds with safeguarding principles that have been enshrined in law for decades.  The report also highlights how gender identity beliefs came to be so embedded within the school system, by tracking the influence of external agencies promoting radical and unscientific beliefs within both the Department for Education and schools themselves. This has created a safeguarding blind spot when it comes to the issue of gender, which must be rectified urgently."

Man handed 15-month jail sentence for assaulting his partner avoids prison by changing sex so that he cannot be punished for gender-based violence - "Antonio Luis B.R. walked free when the Court of Violence against Women in Seville, Spain, withdrew from the case after he legally became a woman.  According to the victim's lawyer, Jose Antonio Sires, his client broke off her relationship with Luis five years ago following a decade of psychological and physical abuse.  Although she took out a restraining order, he simply ignored it and continued harassing her.  In 2019, the case was brought before the court and Luis was sentenced to 15 months in prison for violating the restraining order and making threats against his ex. The case dragged on for years while his defence repeatedly made appeals against the sentence. These failed and eventually the court ordered his imprisonment on September 11 last year.  But having become a woman the month before, Luis escaped justice. He used a new law allowing those over 16 to change their registered gender without needing medical or psychological reports. His lawyers appealed again, saying he could not be tried for gender-based crimes because he was a 'new person'.  They claimed the court could no longer try him as a man because that would violate LGBT law, requested a pardon and demanded that the case be dropped – and the Court of Violence against Women has now withdrawn from it. During a hearing on August 13, the court heard that 'now that the accused is a woman' there is 'a lack of objective jurisdiction'.  Mr Sires called Luis's actions 'an undoubted fraud', and said he changed sex with the sole purpose of avoiding 'specific penalties for men who commit violence against their wife or ex-wife'. He added: 'The perpetrator... seeks to exploit the law in a deceitful way.'... Last July, Luis allegedly attacked his ex again and threatened her, reportedly saying: 'You only have days left to live.' When police arrived, he told them: 'I am a woman.'"

Transgender woman Roxanne Tickle wins discrimination case after being banned from women-only app - "A transgender woman who sued a women-only social media app for alleged gender discrimination has been awarded $10,000 plus costs after a judge found she had been indirectly discriminated against in a landmark decision that tested the meaning and scope of the Sex Discrimination Act.  Roxanne Tickle, a transgender woman from regional New South Wales, sued the social media platform Giggle for Girls and its CEO, Sall Grover, claiming she was unlawfully barred from using the app in 2021 after the firm and Grover said she was a man."
Senator Claire Chandler on X - "Today’s judgement in Giggle v Tickle confirms that women in Australia have no legal rights to single-sex spaces and services. The Sex Discrimination Act which is supposed to protect women and girls is now a tool to punish women trying to offer female-only spaces. This is a disgraceful and dangerous situation which reduces the rights and protections available for women and girls in our country.  #IStandWithSallGrover"

Rachael Wong on X - "“Sex is changeable”. These were the judge’s words as he delivered his judgment finding Giggle guilty of indirect gender identity discrimination against Tickle, for refusing him admission to her female-only app. A disappointing but unsurprising outcome given the judge said at the outset he would be deciding the case based on what the law is, not what it should be – and unfortunately for women and girls in Australia, our law gives more rights to men who identify as women, than to actual women and girls.   The fight continues until the sex-based rights of women and girls are restored in Australian law.   #TicklevGiggle #IStandWithSallGrover 💗"

Thread by @LeorSapir on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "🚨NEW: I’ve received a FOIA’d file from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (@waDSHS) about a 17-year-old receiving puberty blockers.  I’ve seen some extreme cases of medicalization in the past, but this one stands out even for a deep blue state.
The kid is reported to have a “past [of] extensive abuse [including sexual] and neglect” and to have been through “93 different placements,” which include Qualified Residential Treatment Programs. The kid has “borderline intellectual functioning,” with “adaptive scoring in the 2nd percentile.”  A recent study found “a possible detrimental impact [from GnRHa] on IQ. These findings accord with the wider literature on GnRH expression and brain structure and function.”  Unclear whether or how the kid’s use of GnRHa affected IQ in his case. The kid also has numerous psych diagnoses: “PTSD; Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder; Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder; ADHD, combined type and learning disorder. [A]lso has an official diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria and is currently seen at the Providence gender clinic and is participating in gender hormone therapy.” All of these obvious red flags can be, and often are, written off by gender clinicians as consequences of “minority stress.” Some clinicians may even interpret them as reasons to “affirm” and prescribe Rx."

Meme - cisparenttranskid: "  I know this is a very personal subject but I’m not sure where else to turn to for guidance while still respecting my daughter’s privacy. I’m using a throwaway for obvious reasons.  My nineteen year-old daughter and I recently attended a consultation for bottom sugary with a surgeon in another state (she asked me to be there for support and guidance). For context my daughter socially transitioned at age 10, was placed on puberty blockers at age 12 and started estrogen at age 15. I thought the consultation went well and was relieved to finally be on the last step of this process but my daughter became very upset afterwards and said she doesn’t want to do it.  Honestly this really confused me because I am aware that my daughter has had a lot of dysphoria towards her genitals. As a child she had issues with trying to alter them in unsafe ways. In the last few years she has had to go to the doctor a couple times due to skin irritation and discomfort from tucking incessantly even when not necessary for her clothing. She also often talked about getting bottom surgery in the future when she was in high school.  When I asked her about why she’s changed her mind she said she’s worried that the reason she is uncomfortable with her genitals is due to the stigma of being a woman with a penis not true dysphoria. I wasn’t sure what to make of that. She also says she doesn’t want to deal with the pain.  I obviously know it has to be her decision but I was hoping that this was something I could support her with while she is still young so she could move on with her life. Also I worry about how this is going to affect her dating life. My daughter hasn’t started dating yet and constantly complains about how hard it is for trans women. I feel like she is making it way harder for herself by not getting bottom surgery. Her genitals are noticeably underdeveloped because she never went through male puberty so she’s not only a women who has a penis and testes but they also look different then the majority of people’s. I worry about her finding a partner who is ok with this.  I am just overthinking this all because I am worried? Do you have any advice for how I should talk to her about this?"
