"I can't bring myself to say, 'Well, I guess I'll be toddling along.' It isn't that I can't toddle. It's just that I can't guess I'll toddle." - Robert Benchley

Day 11 - 27th March - Lugo's Walls (Part 1)
In the morning we went back to the churreria for breakfast. Sadly they didn't serve churros in the morning. The fact that they were open meant the girls presumably hadn't gone clubbing the night before.
Umbrella in rubbish bin... or rubbish in umbrella rack
We had a bacon and cheese bocadillo, a relleno de jamon y queso croissant (which turned out to be a sandwich). Oh, and 2 glasses of orange juice. Naranja is good stuff.
Next we viewed the exterior of Ponferrada's Templar castle.
One good and one shit stitch of the Templar castle
Crest made of Flowers
We then left for Lugo.
Driving through and past mountains. The road was so empty I could stop the car and snap.
Lugo is the only city in the world to be surrounded by a complete set of Roman city walls.

Walls and verdant foliage
We popped into the most hardworking shop in Spain:
"Monday to Sunday. 8:30am-9pm"
Notice there's no siesta.
Spanish delights
Dog in shop
"There exist complaint forms in this establishment"
Spanish customer service must be awful. Quite a few shops advertise that complaint forms are available, and I'm sure many more have them if you ask.
"Tourist: Galiza is not Spain"
This can be interpreted in several ways: Galicia does not belong to Spain (Galician independence), Galicia is not representative of Spain (dislike of Galicia/Galician independence)
There was a place with "Godivah" chocolates. Hah.
Rua San Pedro
Another road
Octopuses soaking in pot
We then mounted the walls.
On top of the walls
Someone's backyard
Dog chilling on staircase
Graffiti
Dog on wall
A pile of trash. At least Lugo wasn't quite as depressing as Pingyao, for what that's worth.
Tower and gate

Path to Lugo Cathedral
We were going so slowly, one of the dogs lapped us:
Another dump
