It appears Wadee, a man with a record of violence against Israeli troops on the Gaza border, is at large in Britain. Given his stated intentions, he could even be planning an attack. This single instance has shone a spotlight on the dire failings of our border security services. It is proof, if any were needed, that violent criminals and potential terrorists may be among the thousands of illegal immigrants arriving on our shores. Most of them will not be as vain and stupid as he is. They will not advertise their intentions to MI5 on social media. Data from the Ministry of Justice, obtained under freedom of information laws, show that 15 per cent of sexual offences, including rape, were accounted for by foreign nationals between 2021 and 2023. A further eight per cent of convictions were recorded as unknown nationalities. Those labelled “unknown” are likely to largely include non-British nationals, taking the total number likely to have been committed by foreigners up to 23 per cent. This is despite census data showing foreign nationals make up just 9.3 per cent of the population. Two nationalities – Afghans and Eritreans – were more than 20 times more likely to account for sexual offence convictions than British citizens, according to the data. Right now, the country is having to spend half a billion pounds a year to accommodate 10,000 foreign nationals in British prisons. Many are calling for their deportation, but we should not stop with those incarcerated for their crimes. Any individual invited into our country who breaks our laws should be a candidate for removal. The elephant in the room cannot be ignored any longer. Our streets are objectively less safe. People now report petty crime to their followers on social media rather than to the police, drug gangs operated with impunity, and you are probably more likely to see a weapon on the streets of London than you are a police officer. For those still campaigning for looser migration policies, simply turning a blind eye to these facts and instead sheepishly muttering about the economic payoffs, or the virtues of diversity, no longer cuts it. These figures tell the tale of tens of thousands of upended lives; of hundreds of millions, if not billions, being drained from the British economy; and of the heartbreaking destruction of social capital that is needed for national flourishment."

The tribunal heard that during her eight-week review, Mr Pinto presented himself as a patient having a hip X-ray, but Ms Johny pointed the machine towards his knee... Ms Johny failed her mandatory immediate life support course, designed to help medical professionals recognise cardiac arrest... The panel found Ms Johny had misrepresented her experience when applying for the job with Ramsay Healthcare and there was a “clear disconnect” between what she said she could do and her actual skill level. However, they concluded that her actions were “naive” as opposed to dishonest and that the expectations were “very different” from the remote part of India where she had worked and, at some point, been trained in radiography. UK spends £3.5bn on public services for migrants on benefits - "More than a million migrants who are claiming benefits in the UK are costing an additional £3.5 billion in public spending on infrastructure and public services, according to an analysis of official figures. The analysis of Department for Work and Pensions figures by the Centre for Migration Control (CMC) earlier this week estimated that about 1.2 million foreign nationals are claiming benefits. Research suggests that they received more than £7.5 billion in universal credit in 2023. A separate analysis by the anti-migration think tank, handed to The Times, has calculated the additional cost incurred by the UK taxpayer for providing the necessary housing, healthcare, education, public transport and other infrastructure to cater for them. The analysis is based on calculations published by the Office for Budget Responsibility last year. The budget watchdog for the first time published a breakdown of the costs and benefits of three different groups of migrants, finding that low-paid working-age migrants, defined as earning less than £25,000, have an average net cost to public finances of £3,000. The CMC has used this analysis to estimate that the cost of providing the additional public services and infrastructure for the 1.2 million migrants who receive benefits to be £3.5 billion. The true cost of providing the additional expenditure for low-paid migrants would be significantly higher as the 1.2 million only include those who receive benefits. In 2023 nearly 60 per cent of migrants who came to the UK were categorised as low-paid, earning less than £25,000... “Even the OBR concedes that low-wage migrants impose a fiscal burden on the UK at every stage of life.
