Gaza journalist who wrote for Al Jazeera was holding 3 hostages in home with family, Israel says - "Abdallah Aljamal, who also worked as a spokesman for the Hamas-run labor ministry, was killed when special forces soldiers stormed his home in central Gaza and rescued hostages Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andri Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, the Israeli military said. Aljamal’s death was originally reported by Rami Abdu, the head of the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, who claimed Israel Defense Forces soldiers raided the journalist’s home and killed him and several members of his family... “This is further proof that the Hamas terrorist organization uses the civilian population as a human shield,” the IDF said in a statement... Before his death, Aljamal was contributing to the Palestine Chronicle news outlet, where he wrote a plethora of stories covering the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza during Israel’s offensive... The outlet claims its team “consists of professional journalists and respected writers and authors who don’t speak on behalf of any political party or champion any specific political agenda.”... Israel touted the rescue as a success, and estimated there were “under 100” casualties as a result of the raid. However, the Hamas-run ministry of health alleged that 274 were killed, including civilians. Israeli and American officials have blamed the casualties on Hamas’ tactic of holding hostages and storing munitions in civilian spaces."
Hostages go from symbols of tragedy to emblems of hope after rescue - "Who among us held out hope that Noa Argamani, the 26-year-old Israeli partygoer last seen screaming on the back of a Hamas motorcycle, was still alive? Who dared to hope she might be returned to her mother, who is suffering with cancer? In a single day, Noa has gone from a symbol of tragedy to a symbol of hope, that alchemical force on which the Jewish state was founded and that continues to sustain it, even through this darkness. Her rescue, as well as that of Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and 41-year-old Shlomi Ziv, proves the value of military pressure. Hamas needs to hurt. While the world tells Israel to lay down its arms, dreaming up ever more spurious arguments – stop fighting and Hamas will vanish, ceasefire and your daughters will be freed, be kind and they will come to love you, give them a state and they will allow you to live – the IDF must carry on."

Meme - Alex Griswold @HashtagGriswold: "A Facebook group for Chicago therapists was asked whether anyone would be comfortable taking a Zionist client. Those who volunteered to help the person were then added to a list of suspected Zionists run by a second group of "anti-racist" therapists."
"When someone posted in a private Facebook group for Chicago therapists in March, asking whether anyone would be willing to work with a Zionist client, several Jewish therapists quickly responded, saying they would be happy to be connected to this person. What happened next sparked fear and outrage among Jewish therapists in Chicago and across the country, and illuminated the atmosphere of intimidation and harassment faced by many Jews in the mental health world who won’t disavow Zionism. Those who replied, offering their services to this unnamed client, soon found themselves added to a list of supposedly Zionist therapists that was shared in a group called “Chicago Anti-Racist Therapists.” “I’ve put together a list of therapists/practices with Zionist affiliations that we should avoid referring clients to,” Heba Ibrahim Joudeh, the document’s author, wrote. (A request for comment sent to the practice she runs with her husband did not receive a response.) The administrator of the anti-racist group chimed in, praising the list as a way “to be transparent about clinicians who promote and facilitate White supremacy via Zionism.” The comments came quickly: “Amazing, thank you,” one person wrote. “Omg a place I was looking at is on here,” another wrote, with angry emojis."
Similarly, the left think that defense lawyers should not represent clients who are an impediment to the left wing agenda. Next up, doctors who treat "Zionists" need to have their licences taken away
Graphic artist Miriam Libicki has been banned by Vancouver Comics Arts Festival due to her past service in the IDF - "The Vancouver Comics Arts Festival has permanently banned artist Miriam Libicki from appearing in the event because of, in the words of the festival’s directors, “this exhibitor’s prior role in the Israeli military and their subsequent collection of works which recounts their personal position in said military and the illegal occupation of Palestine.”... “I am, and I have consistently, publicly, been pro-peace. I am in favour of a Palestinian state via negotiations. Because of the vulnerable populations I work with, I prefer not to discuss my specific political views in public. I believe all policing of artists’ personal identities and nationalities is wrong. VanCAF’s illegal ban, and defamation directed at me, is bad for all artists of all political orientations and backgrounds,” she added... Having her appear in the festival, VanCAF added, “fundamentally falls in absolute disregard to all of our exhibiting artist’s, attendees and staff, especially those who are directly affected by the ongoing genocide in Palestine and Indigenous community members alike. Upon examining these concerns and conducts, this exhibitor will not be permitted to return to the festival.”... Some members of the British Columbia literary community have expressed their dismay and disbelief at VanCAF’s statement and decision to keep Libicki out of the festival. Charlotte Schallié, the chair of Germanic and Slavic Studies at the University of Victoria who spearheaded the But I Live project, said, “Miriam is an artist of utmost integrity and humanity, and I am deeply saddened and troubled that she was banned from the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival. “Especially in times of deep polarization and divisiveness in public discourse, freedom of artistic expression has to be upheld as a fundamental principle and practice. Any form of suppression and censorship of artistic freedom stymies our own ability to engage in critical dialogue and hold space for diverse and differing viewpoints.” Alan Twigg, the author Out of Hiding: Holocaust Literature of British Columbia and the founder of the newspaper BC Bookworld, said, “When I watch CNN and learn about the latest book-banning nonsense in the United States, I want to believe such ignorance and prejudice could not happen in Canada. “The idiotic excuse for prejudice in this case, it appears, is that its author or illustrator has spent some time within the Israeli military. Do they not realize that some form of military service is mandatory for all young Israelis? We should not countenance such absurdity.“"

The Vancouver Police Department and Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services conducted a search of the Schara Tzedek synagogue after the arson attack damaged the building's entrance at around 9:30 p.m., according to the Federation, and the emergency services declared the site safe for use... "We are far, far past the need for words and condemnations," Csaplaros said on X on Thursday night. The arson attack comes after a Montreal Jewish school, located in a synagogue, was hit by gunfire on Monday night but did not result in casualties. Only two days prior, two men opened fire on a Jewish girls’ school in North York, a Toronto suburb, causing no injuries but leaving bullet holes in the building. Montreal has seen three other incidents of shots fired at Jewish houses of worship since October 7. Toronto has seen repeated acts of vandalism and arson against its synagogues, with a vandal smashing the Kehillat Shaarei Torah synagogue's windows for the second time in a month on May 17. Avi Mayer אבי מאיר on X - "The facts about the Israeli airstrike in Rafah and the fire that followed are starting to become clear, and they totally change the story:
The Israeli airstrike that targeted senior Hamas commanders in Rafah was more than a mile away from the safe zone for Palestinian civilians and more than 550 feet away from shelters Hamas had falsely claimed were targeted in the incident
The munitions used were the smallest possible: two warheads of 37 lbs each, far smaller than what other Western militaries use in comparable situations
The munitions could not themselves have ignited a fire of the size that resulted in the deaths of Palestinian civilians, indicating that Hamas weapons stored in or near the targeted structure—of which the IDF was unaware—may have exploded and caused the fire
Footage of the scene taken by Palestinians and uploaded to social media platforms appears to show secondary explosions, further indicating the presence of weapons in the area
A phone call within Gaza intercepted by Israeli intelligence contained the admission that the structure targeted by the airstrike served as an ammunition warehouse, that secondary explosions took place, and that the Israeli airstrike wasn't powerful enough to have ignited the fire
Hamas has been operating from the area since October 7; a rocket launcher used to fire rockets into Israel was located 150 feet from the targeted structure, suggesting that additional weapons were likely stored nearby and may have caused the fire
While none of this makes the heartbreaking results of the fire any less dreadful, it does call into question a lot of the reporting surrounding this tragic incident, which appears to have been based on false information put out by Hamas, rather than the facts on the ground. You'd think news organizations would learn. You'd be wrong."
Andrew Fox on X - "Well, here we are again. Bit of a familiar pattern by now. We now know for certain that Israel didn’t drop 2000lb bombs on a refugee camp. Doesn’t matter:
1. Something happens in Gaza.
2. Hamas-supporting bot farms and super-spreaders flood social media with appalling photos/videos (real or not? Who knows? Usually a wild exaggeration of the truth) attached to a fake narrative.
3. Ordinary people take up fake narrative. Horrible photos/videos go viral.
4. International media runs the fake narrative without proper journalistic checks. Celebrities and politicians comment on the fake narrative before they’re in full possession of the facts.
5. IDF issue a rebuttal, but it’s too late as the fake narrative has already taken hold.
6. Protests on Western streets to put pressure on policy makers.
Hamas are absolute masters at this. Palestinians do, of course, have the unusually huge advantage of decades of KGB information operations aimed at the Western political left, from Arafat/PLO days. They’re pushing at an open door. This is a good model of the pathway a disinformation strategy needs to counter."
Hen Mazzig on X - "According to a new report released by CNN, reporters have corroborated the IDF's claims that small, precise munitions were used in the strike. They also confirm that munitions of that size would not have resulted in the deadly blast, meaning that the IDF was correct and the initial strike tragically set off a larger blast via Hamas's own munitions. Of course, it's a little hard to glean that from the headline "US-made munitions were used in deadly strike on Rafah tent camp, CNN analysis shows," which insinuates that Israel used US-made munitions when really the munitions were sold to Egypt and then given to Hamas. I'm sure the title was in no way purposely worded like that for political reasons. Surely."

Remember this photo that we posted about showing the children in different positions after moving the other child's hands? Well, suprise apparently the Al-Attar family lost 7 children in this (fake studio) bombing. Here their home in Deir al-balah city was bombed back on the 23rd March. Here the same home was bombed on the 5th of March. Here their home was bombed again in May. Apparently in Oct 2023 killing al-attar a teacher. In Feb 2024 too. Oct 2023. It is clear that not only are this family a major part of Hamas with actual leaders but also UNRWA......ITS TIME TO EXPOSE THE PALLYWOOD PROPAGANDA. This is the photo I mentioned where it was claimed that 7 Al-Attar children lost their lives. This is a very famous photo in the Pro-Palestinian world. I checked to see if this name is common. I checked both Al Attar and Al-attar and it came out in both instances that just over 2,000 people worldwide have this name, its not a common name and they all live in Egypt, Saudi, Bahrain etc. There is no orange or red on the Forebears site to even suggest that many (if at all) Al-Attars live in the Gaza Strip. So, there's two options either there is a small family with this name in Deir al-balah used by journalists to share the photos and videos or they don't exist at all and the names are used to prop up the casualty numbers and for Pa||ywood"
