Biden at the mid-way point

2 years ago, when lots of people were rejoicing over Biden being elected, I was warning some of them that their joy would be short-lived, and made a series of predictions:

"Predictions I will evaluate in 2 years' time (and for which I got blocked by someone calling for "unity"):

People are only happy because Biden is not Trump. There's a distinct lack of enthusiasm for Biden qua Biden. Even Obama, in his original endorsement, was noticeably bemused.

I predict that under Biden:
- wokeness will plumb new depths
- division will rise to new heights
- he will not be very visible, since he's palpably senile
- Harris will be calling the shots to an unprecedented degree and Biden will be shunted aside after a while
- China will be coddled again

In 2 years time when blaming Trump for everything that's gone wrong has worn thin for all but the most intense TDS patients, and after the all-but-certain Republican swing in the midterms (noticeably, there was no blue wave this round, which points to a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the Democrats)"

Sure enough, as I predicted:

Biden approval rating nears record low after classified documents discovery: survey

"President Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 40 percent, according to a new poll, amid criticism over the handling of classified documents that have been discovered in a former office and at his Wilmington, Del., home.

A new Reuters-Ipsos poll showed 40 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s performance in office...

The rating approaches Biden’s lowest approval rating, which was 36 percent in May and June"

Of my predictions:

- wokeness will plumb new depths
Verdict: Yup

- division will rise to new heights
Verdict: Seems so

- he will not be very visible, since he's palpably senile
Verdict: He's more visible than I expected, but his senility still shines through

- Harris will be calling the shots to an unprecedented degree and Biden will be shunted aside after a while
Verdict: No. Looks like no one likes her

- China will be coddled again
Verdict: No. He was tougher than I thought
