Links - 14th July 2022 (1 - US Supreme Court Nominations)

Escape The Echo Chamber - Posts | Facebook - "Yesterday a mother with school aged children was confirmed to the highest court in the nation — the pinnacle of any legal career. She entered law when it was still heavily male.  From there she became the chief editor of the law review; graduated top of her class; clerked on the DC Circuit; clerked for the Supreme Court; became a tenured law professor; named professor of the year three times; and was appointed to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. To accomplish all that her husband had primary responsibility of the home, and their seven children.  Yet protestors across the country dressed up in red and white garb to inform the world that Amy Coney Barrett’s appointment was a prelude to a dystopian society of subjugated  women.  The cognitive dissonance is deafening."

The left: A woman's place is in a high-powered career! Also the left: - "Slate: "Barrett has established who she is: a shameless careerist who believes nobody can stop her.""

Dianne Feinstein draws progressive fury after praising Graham at close of Barrett hearings - "Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, was widely criticized by liberal groups on Thursday after she gave Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) a hug and called Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation hearings “one of the best" that she's participated in."
Liberals see those on the other side as enemies. Ironically their hero RBG was good friends with Scalia, who they loathed and demonised

Michele Dauber on Twitter - "@NicholasA1715 Incels Against Abortion -- next meeting starts soon, so come meet this piece of fucking shit there!"
A Stanford professor
This was preceded by racist sexist condemnation by someone praising Amy Coney Barrett - even though he disagreed with her on almost everything

Michele Dauber on Twitter - "To add to her merits, Barrett is a sincere, lovely person. I never heard her utter a word that wasn’t thoughtful and kind — including in the heat of real disagreement about important subjects. She will be an ideal colleague. I don’t really believe in “judicial temperament,” because some of the greatest justices were irascible, difficult and mercurial. But if you do believe in an ideal judicial temperament of calm and decorum, rest assured that Barrett has it.  This combination of smart and nice will be scary for liberals. Her old boss, Scalia, did not have the ideal judicial temperament (too much personality, a wicked sense of humor) and managed over the years to alienate Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, which may conceivably have helped produce more liberal outcomes as she moved to the left." "Oh she's "nice," says worthless shitty white man."
Why liberals love twitter - they can be as sexist and racist as they want against approved groups

Democrats Smear Amy Coney Barrett for Saying ‘Sexual Preference’ - "Was the term actually offensive? Joe Biden used it in May 2020. Ruth Bader Ginsburg used it in 2017. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, also used it in 2017. Democratic members of the judiciary committee Dick Durbin and Richard Blumenthal have said “sexual preference” during speeches on the Senate floor in the past decade. You can find its more recent usage in the Huffington Post and The Atlantic. A gay-rights advocate used the term in a September 25, 2020 interview with the gay-rights magazine The Advocate. As far as I can tell, no one complained about any of this. But that didn’t keep a number of Democratic senators, Democratic activists, and reporters from suggesting Barrett was maybe some kind of a bigot for using the term on October 13, 2020"

Allie Beth Stuckey on Twitter - "For many left-wing feminists, ACB’s nomination is personal. She embodies the rebuttal to the feminist lies they’ve built their life on: that in order to be accomplished and fulfilled, you must sacrifice faith, marriage and children. It’s gotta be hard to watch."

Matt Walsh on Twitter - "Yesterday morning, "sexual preference" was a perfectly normal term. By lunchtime, left wing Twitter had decided that it's problematic. A few hours later Democrats were denouncing it publicly. Then came the media thinkpieces. By bedtime, the dictionary had changed its definition.
The manipulation and redefinition of language happens at breakneck speed. They literally turned the word "preference" into an unspeakable slur in the span of 18 hours."

Kyle Griffin on Twitter - ""Sexual preference," a term used by Justice Barrett, is offensive and outdated. The term implies sexuality is a choice. It is not. News organizations should not repeat Justice Barrett's words without providing that important context."
"Used in mainstream science journals as recently as 2019. When was the decree making it "offensive and outdated" handed down?"
"She also just said “the mentally ill,” which is also offensive."

Steve Krakauer on Twitter - "As recently as last month, Webster’s Dictionary included a definition of “preference” as “orientation” or “sexual preference.” TODAY they changed it and added the word “offensive." Insane - I just checked through Wayback Machine and it’s real."

James Lindsay - Posts | Facebook - "Similarly to the wives in The Handmaid’s Tale, Barrett would not face the full consequences of her judicial decisions."
"They always skip over the fact that the book criticized a potential unholy alliance between the sex-negative radical feminists on the left with the controlling prudes on the right. It's a critique of a type of puritanism, not right-wing patriarchy."

Jeff Jacoby on Twitter - "Can you *IMAGINE* what they would be doing if this was the fifth seat of a 5-4 majority."
"The kind of stuff we saw during the Kavanaugh, Thomas, ACB, and Bork nomination processes?"
"And Alito, who was targeted by Democrats in an assault that caused his wife to break down in tears."

Spencer Brown on Twitter - "NEW: Georgetown Day School, where Judge Jackson is a board member, had 2nd graders repeatedly organize "gender-neutral toy stores" to push leftist lessons about gender identity, transgenderism, and "what it means to be non-binary." Here's what GDS released* after 2019's event"

Candace Owens on Twitter - "Biden: We must appoint a woman to the Supreme Court.
Supreme Court Nominee: I don’t know what a woman is— I’m not a biologist.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡"

Meme - "No man can kill me"
"I am no man"
"Then what are you?"
"I don't know. I'm not a biologist."

Senator Hawley Press Office on Twitter - "Judge Jackson tells the 18-year-old his case is different because the children in photos he downloaded “were not much younger than [him]” and he was just “fascinated by sexual images involving what were essentially [his] peers.” He downloaded images of children as young as eight.
Judge Jackson goes on, saying the defendant is not “not much older than the children in the photos” and was “viewing sex acts between children who were not much younger than [him.]”"

Gad Saad on Twitter - "My wife is upset at me because I just came home with a giraffe. She was angry that I would do so because we agreed to adopt a dog. How the f**k am I suppose to know the difference? I’m not a f***ing zoologist."

Meme - *Maternal delivery room* "Is it a boy or a girl?"
"I have no idea. I'm not a biologist"

Sydney Watson on Twitter - "If Ketanji Brown Jackson says she can't define a woman because she isn't a "biologist" ...does that mean being a man or a woman is, in fact, based in biology? 👀"

Meme - *Man enters female washroom*
Woman: "Get out!"
Man: "I'm sorry! I'm not a biologist."

John Rich on Twitter - "Can someone tell me what this is? I’m not a biologist. *Horse* "COW?""

Meme - "WHAT IS A WOMAN?"
"I DON'T KNOW."
"ARE TRANS WOMEN WOMEN?"
"YES."
"HOW DO YOU KNOW?"
"BECAUSE THEY ARE WOMEN."
"WHAT IS A WOMAN?"
"I DON'T KNOW."

Tim Young on Twitter - "2016 - Believe all women.
2022 - I'm not a biologist, so I don't know what a woman is."

GovExec on Twitter - "As Ketanji Brown Jackson Testified, Black Women Saw Themselves Reflected"
I didn't know there were so many black women who were biologists

Politico falsely claims Jackson would become first black Supreme Court justice - "Former Associate Justice Thurgood Marshall was the first black judge to serve on the Supreme Court, and current Justice Clarence Thomas has served since 1991."
It's only fake news if it hurts the left

Not the brightest crayon in the box! Sen. Mazie Hirono tells KBJ she wasn’t nominated to fill a quota but then goes on to say she IS filling a quota (watch) - "Your nomination is not about filling a quota... It is about time that we have a highly qualified, highly accomplished Black woman serving on the Supreme Court"
Dana Loesch on Twitter: "Biden actually said it on the campaign trail. I guess Judge Janice Rogers Brown didn’t count when Democrats threatened to filibuster her nomination."

Meme - "MSNBC: This GOP attack on Ketanji Brown Jackson seems racist ZEESHAN ALEEM"
