"Resettled Palestinian Refugees are the ultimate pawns in the Arab conflict with Jewish presence and autonomy in the Near East. Although they are more victimized by their own, occasionally popularly elected, leadership than by the Israelis, when polled, Palestinians overwhelmingly prefer Hamas to all other alternatives. Granted, this isn't just because of support of "resistance to world Jewry" but because Hamas actually provides the social services it promises. But that this message has as much popularity among Palestinians is frightening and suggests that the Israelis are far from the only party making an equitable two-state solution unfeasible."
