Fresno shooter wanted to kill many white people, police say - "During his arrest, Muhammad shouted "Allahu akbar," but Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said the shootings had "nothing to do with terrorism in spite of the statement he made." "This is solely based on race," Dyer told reporters."
It's all Trump's fault! And white privilege! And Islamophobia!

Anti-Trump Protest In Seattle: 'We Need To Start Killing People' - "While she said that, another protester can be heard saying, “Burn it!” She also says, “White people, give your fucking money, your fucking house, your fucking property, we need it fucking all,” as another protester responds “reparations!”... While speaking, she was wearing a jacket that said “Black Lives Matter” on the back. According to the channel that uploaded the clip to YouTube, the activist saying these things is a teacher."

Ebony Magazine: Hate Crimes Can't Be Committed Against White People Or Cops - "“It absolutely fits the definition of the hate crime. You can’t just say that only certain groups are allowed to be hated, only certain groups can have crimes designated as hate groups, or hate crimes against them.” CNN law enforcement contributor Steve Moore, a former FBI agent replied. “That’s racism”... In the wake of the Dallas shooting, police chief David Brown said the shooter, Micah Xavier Johnson told police his motivation for the attack was that he was “upset about Black Lives Matter” and “wanted to kill white people,” especially white police officers."

Black Activists Double Down on Hate with #F***Paris Hashtag - "Resentful black activists and their comrades started a backlash against the huge public sympathy for the Parisian victims of the Islamist terror war. On Sunday, they used Twitter’s hashtag #FuckParis to reveal their emotional reaction to their loss of attention."

Black Lives Matter co-founder called out for tweet deemed racist - "“Plz Allah give me strength not to cuss/kill these men and white folks out here today. Plz plz plz,” read the tweet from February."

Black Lives Matter Leader Says White People Are 'Sub-Human' and Suffer From 'Genetic Defects' - "A Black Lives Matter leader has come under fire after arguing on social media that white people are “sub-human” and suffer from “recessive genetic defects,” and musing about how the race could be wiped out. In a Facebook post, Black Lives Matter Toronto co-founder Yusra Khogali went on a rant, arguing that black people are the superior race because white people posses “genetic defects” that make them lesser humans"

I Changed "Men" to "Black People" in an Everyday Feminism Post, And Here's What Happened. - "I think we can all agree that Everyday Feminism is a Joke, and No One Should Ever Read It. Not only do they give the worst advice to women and other marginalized people on the whole internet (for example, "networking is entitled white people crap"). Not only do they seem to view women as helpless, hopeless victims. But they're also racist and sexist as fuck. Just take a look at this recent article: Think It's #NotAllMen? These 4 Facts Prove You're Just Plain Wrong."

Black America, please stop appropriating African clothing and tribal marks. - "I would just like you all to realize the hypocrisy of seeing someone wearing a Fulani septum ring, rocking a djellaba, painted with Yoruba-like tribal marks, all the while claiming that this is meant to be respectful. It’s a hodgepodge, a juxtaposition, a right mess of regional, ethnic and cultural customs and it screams ignorance and cultural insensitivity. Yes, that’s right, even when worn by Black people."

Police kill more whites than blacks, but minority deaths generate more outrage: analysis - "Adjusted to take into account the racial breakdown of the U.S. population, he said black men are 3.5 times more likely to be killed by police than white men. But also adjusted to take into account the racial breakdown in violent crime, the data actually show that police are less likely to kill black suspects than white ones... “Adjusted for the homicide rate, whites are 1.7 times more likely than blacks die at the hands of police,” he said. “Adjusted for the racial disparity at which police are feloniously killed, whites are 1.3 times more likely than blacks to die at the hands of police.” Mr. Moskos listed two possible reasons for the racial disparity. The first is that police assigned to largely black neighborhoods face “more political fallout when they shoot, and thus receive better training and are less inclined to shoot.” The second is that police assigned to black communities with high crime rates are more accustomed to dangerous situations and thus are more likely to be able to resolve them without resort to lethal force... “The odds that any given black man will shoot and kill a police officer in any given year is slim to none, about one in a million. The odds for any given white man? One in four million,” he said. “The odds that a black man will be shot and killed by a police officer is about 1 in 60,000. For a white man those odds are 1 in 200,000.”"

There Are No Successful Black Nations | Foreign Policy - "Black elites and activists across the world have adopted a culture of verbal tyranny in which they shut down any effort to reason or criticize us or black-majority nations by labeling such attempts as “racism” or “hate speech.” Thus, one can be certain that any suggestions that our race may indeed need to do something to remedy our situation will not be aired — not by the terrified people of other races. And anyone within our race who makes such a suggestion will be deemed weak and pandering or a sellout, as U.S. President Barack Obama has been repeatedly called. Thus, no one will talk about the painful fact that most African and Caribbean nations have either failed or are about to collapse... Nigeria, the most populous black nation on Earth, is on the brink of collapse. The machineries that make a nation exist, let alone succeed, have all eroded. One might argue that the nation’s creation by self-seeking white imperialists engendered its failure from the beginning, as I did in my recent novel. But this is only a part of the cause. A culture of incompetence, endemic corruption, dignified ineptitude, and, chief among all, destructive selfishness and greed has played a major role in its unravelling. The same, sadly, can be said for most other African nations... Everywhere from Ukraine to India, nearly every day, black indignity, black helplessness, stares us in the face. And all we do, we who hold the platform can do, is scream “racism!” and court the sympathy of others."

Amnesty International accused of white-black supremacism - "Amnesty International has been accused of white-black supremacism after demanding that the President of Malawi “condemn [the attacks on albinos] and protect those at risk.” According to Yusra Khogali, the co-founder of the Toronto chapter of Black Lives Matter, the statement released by Amnesty International is white-black supremacist because it perpetuates the harmful stereotype that the lives and body parts of white-black people are inherently more valuable than those of black-black people. “The UN claims that in the past 18 months there have been 65 recorded cases of attacks on white-black people. But what about the thousands of black-black people who are murdered every single year?""

Study shows police killings may be more about blue on black than black and white - "the race of officers involved in these shootings largely matches the general demographics of the departments themselves, but the shooting victims are far more likely to be black and/or to live in neighborhoods that are far less diverse and affluent."

Why Black Voters Don’t Feel the Bern - "as Bill Clinton recognized in the 1990s, as frequent victims of both crime and bureaucratic neglect, blacks are 20 percentage points more likely to ask for more policing in their neighborhoods than whites. Even in the age of Black Lives Matter, many blacks know that policing matters too to save black lives. Similarly 51 percent of blacks and 59 percent of whites fear that local courts do not punish criminals harshly enough, while three-quarters of blacks have at least “some” confidence in the police."

Timeline: Black America’s surprising 40-year support for the Drug War - "Many of the toughest crime laws were crafted based on ideas and political mobilization that came from the black community itself. This timeline illustrates the surprising story of how many prominent black Americans — including writers, poets, civil rights activists, elected officials, clergy, and their close allies in the Democratic Party– frequently supported the drug war, despite growing misgivings and controversy. Our research also found evidence of significant if sporadic opposition to the drug war within the conservative white community, which seemed to inform the larger discussion in interesting ways"

Why I faked being black for med school - "My experiences have shown me firsthand the reality of racism in America. But I wrestle with the idea that more exclusion in the form of affirmative action is not the best solution. I am not convinced that affirmative action fully benefits the underprivileged. In my application to medical school, I disclosed that my mother was a doctor, my dad an architect, that I drove a nice car, that I didn’t receive financial aid and that I grew up in an affluent section of Boston. I didn’t even say that I was “disadvantaged.” Yet medical schools such as Case Western Reserve University considered me one of their “affirmative-action candidates.” My middle-class white girlfriend asked me, “How did a campus rich kid become a candidate for affirmative action?” Good question.""

Japan's blackface problem: the country's bizarre, troubled relationship with race - "check out this ad for Japanese airline ANA featuring actors in "whiteface," complete with stick-on big noses. The intent is not necessarily malicious. In fact, the use of blackface by Japanese musicians is often explained as a show of earnest appreciation for their favorite African-American legends"
If offence is always taken, not given, and if you don't intend to offend, are you offensive?

OPRF parents upset 'Black Lives Matter' assembly excludes other races - "A Black History Month event at Oak Park and River Forest High School may have kick-started a schoolwide discussion on race — but not in the way school officials intended. Several white parents, none of whom would speak on the record, expressed confusion and dismay that their children were prevented from participating in a "Black Lives Matter" event Feb. 27 that was limited to black students only."

Ku Klux Klan Opens its Doors to Hispanic, Blacks, Jews and Gays - "Some black people have already expressed an interest in joining, after John Abarr organised a summit with civil rights groups. Abarr, who has claimed that he is a former white supremacist, told the Great Falls Tribune, "The KKK is for a strong America. White supremacy is the old Klan. This is the new Klan.""

The Highest-Paid CEOs Are The Worst Performers, New Study Says - "Across the board, the more CEOs get paid, the worse their companies do over the next three years, according to extensive new research. This is true whether they’re CEOs at the highest end of the pay spectrum or the lowest... The negative effect was most pronounced in the 150 firms with the highest-paid CEOs... CEOs who get paid huge amounts tend to think less critically about their decisions... The paper also found that the longer CEOs were at the helm, the more pronounced was their firms’ poor performance. Cooper says this is because those CEOs are able to appoint more allies to their boards, and those board members are likely to go along with the bosses’ bad decisions"

FBI Closed #GamerGate Case Due To No Actionable Leads, Evidence - "So there was harassment going on, but it had no real affiliation with #GamerGate and was basically just trolls, and kid pranksters, and juvenile joking. This information fits in line with the peer reviewed WAM! report, which indicated that only 0.65% of the people on the GG blocklist were reported for harassment"

Lhu Wen Kai - I was looking for a project to work on whenever I'm... - "I was looking for a project to work on whenever I'm procrastinating, and I eventually settled on doing something about Yishun, following the spate of crazy incidents that have happened there in recent years. So, I designed a website and compiled an interactive map that marked down (almost) every noteworthy incident - murders, suicides, vice, shitty luck, cursed environment and the crazy folks - from as far back as 2008. There are articles and accompanying multimedia about each incident, conveniently color-coded and categorised, so this one-stop resource about the dystopian town is about as exhaustive as it can get."

Women are more violent, says study - "The study, which challenges the long-standing view that women are overwhelmingly the victims of aggression, is based on an analysis of 34,000 men and women by a British academic. Women lash out more frequently than their husbands or boyfriends, concludes John Archer, professor of psychology at the University of Central Lancashire and president of the International Society for Research on Aggression... female aggression was greater in westernised women because they were "economically emancipated" and therefore not afraid of ending a relationship... men have been abused by their wives since Elizabethan times. He uses examples such as the actor John Wayne, beaten by his wife Conchita Martinez, and Humphrey Bogart battered by his wife Mayo Methot, as well as Abraham Lincoln whose wife Mary who broke his nose with a lump of wood. His research is backed up by historical records which show that men who were beaten by their wives were publicly humiliated in a ceremony called a "skimmington procession". The procession was named after the ladle used to skim milk during cheese making. Dr George has also unearthed a plaster frieze in Montacute House in Somerset that depicts a wife hitting her husband over the head followed by a "skimmington" ceremony... "50 per cent of those who initiate aggression are women. This sends a dangerous message to men because we are saying they are not going to get any legal redress so their option instead is to hit back.""

Weird Victorian beauty standards we thankfully don't deal with today - "In Victorian England, women used to get that coveted big-eyed look by dropping Belladonna into their eyes to create a glowing look. The problem? Also known as “deadly nightshade,” Belladonna is straight-up poison, and putting it into your eyes made the pupils dilate. And yeah, it caused blindness. So there’s that."

Millennials Don't Know What Fabric Softener Is For - "Fabric softener became popular in the 1960s because laundry came out of the washer feeling rough and scratchy, according to the Journal. But innovations in detergents and washing machines have lessened harshness and therefore need for additives."

Sir Tim Hunt's Victory Over A Lying Feminist Academic - "St. Louis was lying. Her tweets were a gross distortion of the truth. Hunt was in fact making a self-deprecating joke. He went on in his speech to praise women. It’s possible that St. Louis simply wasn’t listening during the speech, but her later statements to the BBC were simply untrue, as a recording of the event later revealed. Of course, as is customary these days, Hunt’s accusers provided no evidence. They colluded privately about the best way to maximise the impact of the “story,” something they themselves admit, but all they presented were their allegations. All evidence pointed to Hunt’s comments being a joke, with him being the butt of it. And so it turned out to be. A transcript made by a European Commission official in attendance told the full story... Of course, the same media that gave a platform to Hunt’s accusers, notably the BBC and The Guardian, didn’t report the existence of the recording despite it completely exonerating the professor and proving beyond any doubt that the feminists that had conspired against him were brazen liars. It was down to the Murdoch-owned Times of London to report the facts... thankfully, the story has a happy ending... The only reputation that has been damaged in this affair is Connie St. Louis’s. Her name will now be forever synonymous with disreputable, dishonest allegations and sexed-up CVs. That’s what I call social justice."
