Raising money for diabetes research

"Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." - Woody Allen

My brother in law is raising money for Diabetes UK by riding from London to Paris. I have donated £49.99, which leaves him £475 (and 1 penny) short:

"Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year, I have decided to cycle further than I have ever done in my life while wearing more lycra than is generally acceptable in polite company to raise money for Diabetes UK.

Contrary to popular belief, diabetes is not a lifestyle choice for many people who have it through genetic reasons. I personally know people who successfully manage their diabetes condition through hard work and courage. Their stories have inspired me to cycle from London to Paris in support of Diabetes UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now."
