A:

Dear 2nd, 3rd & 4th Year Students

As you know, Learning Beyond the Classroom is a key component of the USP mission. To this end, USP has developed two specific programmes, namely, the Global Programme (GP) and the Student Opportunities Programme (SO). These are on top of the many other non-GP or SO activities which may be USP or student-initiated, not to mention the numerous USC activities.

We are in the process of reviewing the plethora of activities that are currently organised by USP. We would like to invite you to participate in the USP Student Activities Survey (please click https://XXX) that will help us gauge the interest in these activities within the community.

Your feedback is extremely important to us in identifying the type of activities that will be of interest and relevance to you. This will enhance the effectiveness and values add of USP.

In appreciation of your participation, you will receive a different free souvenir when you complete the survey. We thank you in advance for your time and effort.

This survey will end on Sunday, 26 August 2007 at 2359hours.

B:

Dear A,

Learning beyond the classroom is fine but learning within the classroom is also important. I have been complaining many times about the classroom facilities, e.g., the whiteboards have to be replaced - they have a limited lifetime you know. At SR1, the projector screen has run its course; it has been an eyesore at USP for a long time. As our Prime Minister said yesterday, upgrading is the key word. I feel that USP must devote more time and effort into maintaining classroom facilities. I should think that there are sufficient funds for this.

As an immediate measure, can the projector screen at SR1 be replaced by the end of the week please?

Kind regards.

B

PS: I wish USP students would also complain when they find inadequate classroom maintenance.
