Japanese man gets fired for lying on resume by saying he had less education than he really does - "the man, a 48-year-old employee with the municipal waterworks bureau, has a four-year university degree, but had claimed differently when applying for, and obtaining, a job with the department back in 1996.So if he concealed the truth that he’d graduated from a four-year program, then a post-graduate degree, maybe even a doctorate, must have been a pre-requisite for the job, right? Nope. As it turns out, the employee was fired not for being secretly underqualified for the job, but secretly overqualified. The position he applied for specifically stated that it was for applicants whose highest level of education was high school or below (in Japan, compulsory education stops after junior high)."

The Left's Long March Through The Institutions Is Now Pretty Much Complete, And It's A Disaster. - "There’s little debate that modern-day American universities, public education, mainstream media, Hollywood and political advocacy groups are dominated by Leftists. This is no accident, but part of a deliberate strategy to pave the way for communist revolution developed more than eight decades ago by an Italian political theorist named Antonio Gramsci... Gramsci argued that the Bolshevik Russian revolution of 1917 worked because the conditions were ripe for such a sudden upheaval. He described the Russian revolution as an example of a “war of movement” due to its sudden and complete overthrow of the existing governing structure of society. Gramsci reasoned that in Russia in 1917 “the state was everything, civil society was primordial and gelatinous.”As such, a direct attack on the current rulers could be effective because there existed no other significant structure or institutions of political influence that needed to be overcome. In Western societies, by contrast, Gramsci observed the state is “only an outer ditch” behind which lies a robust and sturdy civil society... Gramsci spoke of organizations including churches, charities, the media, schools, universities and “economic corporate” power as being organizations needing to be invaded by socialist thinkers. The new dictatorship of the proletariat in the West, according to Gramsci, could only arise out of an active consensus of the working masses – led by those critical civil society organizations generating an ideological hegemony."

Bad Linguistics: peer reviewed - "I keep seeing this post on Tumblr, and it keeps making me irrationally upset. The angry-making portion:
Fan Fact #2: When Spanish conquistadors landed in the Yucatán peninsula, they asked the natives what their land was called and they responded “Yucatán”. In 2015, it was discovered that in those mesoamerican languages, “Yucatán” meant “I don’t understand what you are saying” OK first of all, by "the natives" and "those mesoamerican languages", you mean "Mayan". It is not some great mystery who lived there, y'all.Secondly what does "in 2015 it was discovered!!!" even mean? There are literally millions of native speakers of Mayan languages, and this makes it sound like the Mayan languages are some obscure thing.Thirdly, the theory that it comes from a phrase meaning "I don't understand you" dates back to at least 1914 from the book Historia de los indios de la Nueva, so you're off by a century anyway. And finally, that's only one of a variety of theories, and tbh I find the theory that it's derived from a historical name for the Chontal Maya people to be a lot more likely. So this etymology isn't even necessarily correct."
"Fun fact: There are a lot of rivers in the UK named “avon” because the Romans arrived and asked the Celts what the rivers were called. The Celts answered “avon.”“Avon” is just the Celtic word for river."
"Yeah but it has less to do with Romans asking 'the Celts' what the name of the river is and getting a witty response back and more to do with the fact important rivers tend to just be called 'the river' in colloquial speech. Then after conquest it becomes an abstract name in subsequent languages because it's no longer just 'the river'."

In mid-2015, he tricked another girl into sending him nude photos by telling her he needed them for a school project... He lured yet another rape victim, aged 17, while out on bail. He pretended to be a wealthy man who needed a social escort, but even after she told him she was not willing to give him sexual services, he forced himself on her.He also got her to transfer S$500 to him as “bank fee” so that he could release her cash payment of S$3,000 to her... both Anddy’s stepfather and biological father are serving time in prison for long-term drug offences."

Unrepresentative Democracy - "Nearly 30 years after German reunification, East Germans remain dramatically under-represented among the country’s elites. As a result, many feel estranged from the democratic institutions, giving the far-right Alternative für Deutschland a huge boost in the East... The East German revolution of 1989, like all revolutions, consisted of replacing the elites – the people working for the communist party and state institutions, including the secret police, the Stasi. But in contrast to what happened in Eastern Europe, the old East German elite was not replaced by new local leaders, but by West Germans who brought their political system to the former GDR and occupied nearly all key positions to manage the change... Gleicke quoted a 2014 poll by sociologists from Halle that found that almost three out of four West Germans feel “politically at home” in the Federal Republic, while not even half of East Germans do. “If you leave out the East, you will to have to pay for that at some point in time,” she said."

Why you can’t win arguments against intersectionality — and shouldn’t try - "Any opponent starts out in the defensive position and must produce copious amounts of research and expertise to substantiate all claims to the contrary, since the original claim, though utterly ridiculous, is extremely cohesive — it exists within its own stitched and armored mythological framework, whereby a challenge to any one point is dispersed across the entirety of the ideological fabric, and resisted equally by all. This is the endgame of intersectionality. And it’s why conservative arguments against it fall flat. Not because they’re factually wrong, but because it’s just one piece of a postmodern mythology that we have failed to effectively understand and combat in its more nascent and manageable stages. Now the mythology is mature, and has become a religion that demands unquestioning loyalty and unflinching sacrifice. And we have no answer for it, because it’s a hydra — for each head you cut off, two more take its place. Each part makes sense to adherents, not because of externally-substantiated fact or logical flow, but because of the self-referencing nature of its claims. It is *designed* to be insular, to shed attacks, and to ultimately define all who oppose it as heretics and enemies of the common good... If you have been engaged in this debate lately and feel frustrated that facts and figures bounce off of the social justice crowd, don’t be discouraged. You’re not just challenging a media narrative or a faulty assumption. You’re calling into question an entire worldview, and leaving the other person without a frame of reference through which to understand the world. And when you challenge someone’s innermost worldview, you’re not just questioning their understanding of politics or current events, you’re challenging their identity, their character, their priorities, and their morality. They can’t concede any one piece of intersectional dogma, because (just as in other religions) to concede the errancy of one piece of canon means leaving all the rest of it vulnerable to attack. So in order to defend against that, they will build more and more context, weave more and more mythology around the premise under attack, leaving you with insufficient time, energy, or information to dismantle it all — leaving their holy scripture intact. The only way to win is not to play.Don’t accept the negative position — build and defend a positive one... When you begin a post with “I’m not a racist, but…” you’ve already lost your argument and your audience, and the best result you can hope, no matter what point you’re making, is establishing, or undermining, that baseline.Ditto for “I’m not sexist/homophobic/a science denier/judgemental/partisan, but…”When truth is at issue, let truth fight for itself, and don’t allow consideration for your self-image to blunt its blade."

Anti-France Fake News: Africa and Decolonisation

Under the paradigm of post-colonialism, Western countries have been and will always be blamed for anything that goes wrong in ex-colonies, which have no agency.

Perhaps the most egregious form of this mindset that I've found is an article by Mawuna Remarque KOUTONIN which actively promulgates fake news (i.e. makes shit up) about France's role in post-colonial Africa.

In 14 African Countries Forced by France to Pay Colonial Tax For the Benefits of Slavery and Colonization published on Mediapart, he makes many dodgy claims:

When Sékou Touré of Guinea decided in 1958 to get out of french colonial empire, and opted for the country independence, the french colonial elite in Paris got so furious, and in a historic act of fury the french administration in Guinea destroyed everything in the country which represented what they called the benefits from french colonization.

Three thousand French left the country, taking all their property and destroying anything that which could not be moved: schools, nurseries, public administration buildings were crumbled; cars, books, medicine, research institute instruments, tractors were crushed and sabotaged; horses, cows in the farms were killed, and food in warehouses were burned or poisoned.

The purpose of this outrageous act was to send a clear message to all other colonies that the consequences for rejecting France would be very high...

On June 30, 1962, Modiba Keita , the first president of the Republic of Mali, decided to withdraw from the french colonial currency FCFA which was imposed on 12 newly independent African countries. For the Malian president, who was leaning more to a socialist economy, it was clear that colonisation continuation pact with France was a trap, a burden for the country development.

On November 19, 1968, like, Olympio, Keita will be the victim of a coup carried out by another ex French Foreign legionnaire, the Lieutenant Moussa Traoré...

On January 1st, 1966, Jean-Bédel Bokassa, an ex french foreign legionnaire, carried a coup against David Dacko, the first President of the Central African Republic.

To zoom in on 3 lies promulgated by Koutonin in the extract above:

1) I am unable to find citations for "infrastructure" the French "destroyed" in 1958 when they withdrew from Guinea.

According to the BBC, the French just "[deprived] the country of all technical expertise and worse, removing all key government files, even ripping out office telephones".

A research article on Cold War History makes some very general claim about the French destroying infrastructure, but the only details given are that France told teachers holidaying outside Guinea not to return - but 78 still stayed.

Meanwhile, the Encyclopedia Britannica says the French reacted by "recalling all their professional people and civil servants and by removing all transportable equipment".

The most extensive account of Guinean independence that I could find, The Challenge of Guinean Independence, 1958-1971, a PhD thesis by Mairi Stewart MacDonald, merely reports that:

Yet Paris continued to behave as though Guinea could be crushed. Messmer reported the rapid progress of France’s administrative withdrawal on 27 October. Magistrates, teachers, clerks, labour inspectors, postal workers, railway workers, and other civil servants, senior and junior, French and African: most were leaving or had already gone

MacDonald notes that France behaved like a petulant child diplomatically, but this is very far from Koutonin's wild accusations.

If what Koutonin claims happened really happened, it would be odd that such a spiteful and major act of destruction is not documented anywhere outside this one blog.

2) Modibo Keïta (Mali) was not simply a socialist as the article claims, to make it sound like the French got rid of him because he would threaten French hegemony.

He was also a brutal dictator who imprisoned political opponents and brutalised the people:

As in other one-party states of the time, citizens were expected to participate in mass rallies in praise of Modibo Keita and the socialist state. Cheikh Oumar Diarrah has compared Modibo Keita’s Mali to Maoist China; ideological dissenters were purged without hesitation. In 1961, when respected leaders of the colonial period, such as Fily Dabo Sissoko and Hammadoun Dicko, joined protests against the government’s decision to leave the French monetary union and create a new Malian currency, they were imprisoned along with 89 other demonstrators and accused of treason. Sissoko and Dicko were condemned to death, then pardoned and sentenced to forced labour for life. Both died in 1964 while serving this sentence...

The Keita regime grew progressively more dictatorial as its economic policies failed. The National Assembly was dissolved in 1968, after which Modibo Keita ‘governed by ordinance’. Since the regime’s central planning failed to alleviate the economic malaise and essentially taxed rural peasants to subsidise the urban population (a process that continues today), failed economic policies became the subject of rural dissent at this time. The peasants of Ouolossébougou revolted against the fixed prices of the government boards in June 1968: 15 peasants and merchants were arrested. A day later, when many of their fellow villagers attempted to liberate the prisoners, the police shot and killed two people and injured several others.

--- Censorship: A World Encyclopedia

The popular unrest due to a poor economy and fears of a purge led to the Traoré coup, which was popularly supported:

In January 1968, the National Assembly dissolved itself and authorized Keita to appoint a legislative delegation. The People’s Militia (Milice Populaire) of 3,000 young men was reactivated, and following the tactics of their model, the Red Guards in Mao’s China, set out to uncover corruption and purify the party. The militia manned roadblocks, conducted searches of home and person at will, detained many on the least pretext, and engaged in torture. The militia rapidly became the most hated element of Keita’s Cultural Revolution. The excesses of the militia affected the personal liberties of many and, in practical terms, it became a terror to ordinary citizens. By late 1968, there was widespread discontent with Keita and his policies, not mobilized into a political force capable of overthrowing his regime, but constituting a favorable background against which a coup d’e’tat could take place.

The move for an immediate coup was promoted by Lt. Moussa Traoré, an instructor at the Kati school, where a number of junior officers supported him. Traoré's timing was dictated by fears of his own imminent arrest and that of his fellow officers...

The following day, massive street demonstrations took place in support of the coup, and people shouted "down with Modibo; down with the militia."

--- Mali: A Search For Direction / Pascal James Imperato

So this coup had nothing to do with France.

3) Bokassa (in the Central African Republic) was not an agent of the French despite what Koutonin claims.

Dacko, who Bokassa overthrew, had actually been backed by the French and the French were surprised by his coup:

Reassured by the presence of French administrators and technicians in every post of importance, by the backing of French colons, miners, and businessmen who felt they would control him, Dacko proceeded rapidly to consolidate his power... in retrospect, clearly backed by his French councillors, Dacko seized power...

The unexpected intervention of a forty-four-year-old Mbaka army officer, Jean- Bedel Bokassa, who claimed to be Boganda's nephew, took Bangui and the French by surprise.

--- The Central African Republic: The Continent's Hidden Heart / Thomas E. O'toole

France then got Dacko to stage a counter-coup in 1979 to remove Bokassa. It is strange how France used someone they controlled to unseat someone else they also controlled. Maybe the author will claim that they were controlled by different factions of the French government.

Consider too that Bokassa was also a French soldier. So using the Koutonin's "logic" this French civil war (or power struggle, at least) must have been going on for more than a decade.

Of course, alternatively, maybe many political/military figures (often the same thing in Africa) used to work for the French military because they were the former colonial power, i.e. the primary source of employment for soldiers. Just because someone used to be a French soldier does not mean that all his subsequent action are directed by France (as Koutonin claims for all the other African coups).

Doubtless many other wild accusations in Koutonin's article are also, at best, wrong. One wonders if he came up with all this fake news himself in his attempt to blame the French for everything that has gone wrong and is still going wrong in Africa since colonisation.

Civil Rights Pioneer Bob Woodson: MLK Statues Will Be Targeted Next - "'The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned a just and equitable America, in which citizens treated each other as persons rather than as carriers of an indelible racial imprint. Today, the progressive left has bet against King’s vision… King himself would be called out and targeted for “anti-bias” reeducation if he were alive today.'
“Would the BLMs [Black Lives Matter] of the world consider [King] today to be a racist?” Malzberg asked.  Woodson responded by sharing a recent incident where a young white student’s essay was rejected for using Dr. King’s speech as a theme since he “used the word ‘negro’ and therefore it’s offensive to blacks.” Woodson described the incident as an example of “white America trying to say to black America what is offensive and that’s how bad it’s getting.”   Recalling the vandalism of the monument of abolitionist legend Frederick Douglass during last summer’s BLM riots, Woodson surmised King’s statue would be next.  “The fact that the statue of Frederick Douglass in Rochester New York was torn down this summer gives you an idea of where the left is going with the perversion of the civil rights movement,” he said. “It’s really a perversion of it that is causing this kind of moral drift. I wouldn’t be surprised [if] at this time next year they took his statue down.”...   After applauding Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for rejecting the education of critical race theory in the school system, Woodson shares a message of unity in the face of the division created by the radical left.  “All of us black, white, brown, we must come together to confront evil,” he said. “[The radical left] racialized everything that I hope white America will wake up and experience race fatigue and just push back against it. That’s my hope.”  Last month, Woodson wrote, “Today, the progressive left has bet against King’s vision: we are not persons, we are our racial identities, and anyone who rejects that view is guilty of racism.”  “The Civil Rights Movement of which I was proudly a part has been betrayed by a twisted progressive ideology that hyper-racializes our country,” he added."

Cases of police brutality against black people are overestimated - "A new survey commissioned by Skeptic Research Center reveals the extent to which the public is misinformed on the issue of police violence. Participants across the political spectrum in the nationally representative survey were asked how many unarmed black men were killed by police in 2019. The results were revealing. Overall, nearly half of surveyed liberals (44 percent) estimated roughly between 1,000 and 10,000 unarmed black men were killed whereas 20 percent of conservatives estimated the same. Most notably, the majority of respondents in each political category believed that police killed unarmed black men at an exponentially higher rate than in reality. Over 80 percent of liberals guessed at least 100 unarmed black men were killed compared to 66 percent of moderates and 54 percent of conservatives. But, according to a close database compiled by Mapping Police Violence, the actual number of black men killed by the police in 2019 is 27. The second question the survey asked was: “In 2019, what percentage of people killed by police were Black?” While the survey states that the actual percentage is around 25 percent, the average survey respondent guessed 50 percent (58 percent for liberals and 41 percent for conservatives). The disconnect between perception and reality couldn’t be starker. These findings are hardly surprising. The media has the power to shape perceptions — and when they consistently prejudge, distort and exclusively focus on high-profile cases involving white police officers and black suspects (such as Jacob Blake most recently), it creates an illusion of pervasive police violence perpetrated toward African Americans.Meanwhile, unarmed white people killed by cops in highly questionable circumstances while reaching for their license during a traffic stop (mistaken for a gun), failing to raise their hands upon police request, lying face down on the ground, or being suffocated to death by wildly excessive force, are ignored by the media. Consequently, the public likely perceives this problem to be almost nonexistent. It’s no secret the mainstream press have consciously perpetuated narratives of “racial oppression” across their news and opinion pages, leading to racially skewed coverage of police violence and other forms of injustice. As political science doctoral candidate Zach Goldberg has shown in his research, unarmed black victims of fatal police shootings generate staggeringly nine times as many news search results compared to white victims... Meanwhile, voices of power continue to exploit these tragedies for social currency and political gain. In a presidential ad campaign last fall, Kamala Harris asserted, “Why in this nation do black Americans wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life?” In the aftermath of Ahmed Arbery’s tragic killing early in 2020, NBA superstar Lebron James tweeted, “We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes!” Perhaps the most stunning example of this race-driven moral panic is when more than 1,300 public health officials signed a letter last year in support of nationwide BLM protests... The continued blurring of political activism and objective reporting has real consequences. Media outlets, politicians, cultural icons, and other voices must take a hard look in the mirror over how they frame and react to an issue as fraught as police brutality."

Opinion: If footage had shown a black teen being beaten and stabbed by whites, it would have been a national scandal and had government attention - "After footage went viral of a young Irish teen being badly beaten and stabbed numerous times in the back by a black youth in Cork, many have asked why no public figure or organisation has spoken out about the incident... Just as the viral video showing a another white teen in Limerick being beaten and kicked in the head while on the ground by two black youths screaming about “slavery” was ignored by almost every Irish media outlet, save TheLiberal.ie, this video will fade into obscurity without public outcry... Already social media outlets are censoring the video for dubious reasons. So, the question, as thousands of Irish people defy the lockdown to protest for a dead woman beating, home-invader and the broader Black lives Matter movement is, do Irish lives matter? As George Orwell wrote in Animal Farm “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”"

"Yes, it is now expected that you don't just refrain from making politically incorrect statements... You now are expected to actively make politically correct statements, and if you don't, then you are assumed to support politically incorrect ones and, hence, are equated with those openly making those statements.  I.e., if you don't say every day that racism is bad, then you obviously must be supporting racism.  Moral totalitarianism in its full glory. It is similar to how in Soviet Union every speech, no matter on what subject, had to begin with "Thanks to the efforts of the great Comrade Lenin..." Lets not talk about the culture that keeps black people marginalized (no no we arent supposed to judge cultures - all cultures are equally excellent) , instead let's talk about how far white people are willing to go to virtue signal to OTHER WHITE PEOPLE."

Union President Says Philly Police Will Be ‘Boycotting’ Di Bruno Bros. After Apologizing For Offering Officers Free Lunch - "The Fraternal Order of Police president says Philadelphia police will be “boycotting” Di Bruno Bros. after they apologized for giving officers free lunch during protests earlier this week. John McNesby took to social media Thursday after the Philadelphia staple called giving officers stationed in Center City complimentary lunch “insensitive.”“Rest assured Philly police will be boycotting @DiBrunoBros from here on out. #BackTheBlue,” McNesby tweeted... Di Bruno Bros. says they made a hasty decision to offer police officers complimentary lunch at the Chestnut Street location after a night of destruction and looting in the city... “We stand in solidarity with the peaceful protesters against racism, injustice and the senseless violence against people of color,” the statement said. “We believe Black Lives Matter and are unequivocally against police brutality.”"

You're going to pretend that I am writing this because it's what I want to be true when, in fact, there is nothing I hate more than the fact that is has come to this. Here is what happens next:If protestors continue to deface monuments like Winston Churchill's statue and burn British flags on the Cenotaph, you will see groups forming to defend them. These groups will be composed primarily of young, angry white men and led by people with links to groups like the EDL and Tommy Robinson. This is already happening. The groups will gather in city centres to "defend our country". They will have names with words like "patriotic", "British", "defence" in them.Inevitably, they will clash with the current protestors and the police. Under pressure from the media and political class, the police will overreact. They will treat these groups differently to the BLM protestors. They will use force. They will detain people for breaking lockdown rules. They will issue stiff sentences. The media will do the opposite of what they did with the BLM protestors - instead of talking about how "27 police officers were injured in "largely peaceful" protests", they will run major front page headlines like "27 police officers injured by far right violence".At this point, the majority of the public will lose the ability to be nuanced. The double standards will be too obvious to ignore. Fuelled by a constant stream of images of white people kneeling, washing POC feet and publicly apologising, as they already are, they will conclude that their very identity is under attack. At this point, all their sensible aversion to supporting thuggish far right groups will evaporate. They will believe they are in a war for their survival and extreme measures are justified. At the next election, which will likely be brought forward for one reason or another, fuelled by mass unemployment resulting from the economic depression, far right parties will make significant inroads. When I say “far right”, I am not talking about what the far left call “far right” such as anyone who talks about controlling immigration. I’m talking about genuine far right parties that talk about *reversing* immigration and deportations. These parties will not win seats or get anywhere near Government but they will put a UKIP-like pressure on the Conservatives. Boris Johnson will likely be ousted as too soft and liberal and replaced by a law and order hardliner. From here, I’m afraid, the journey is rather obvious and predictable. The only way to prevent this is to reverse the re-racialisation of our society. Either we learn to live together or the very idea of a multi-ethnic society is over."

Facebook - "I'm seeing a lot of people post about how the geneva protocol bans the use of tear gas and that US police forces are violating human rights by using it on rioters. So here are the facts:
Yes, the use of tear gas is restricted, like all other chemical weapons, but while international law outright bans certain chemical weapons, like say Sarin gas (to borrow from Assad), it allows the production of others solely for their legitimate purposes and under international law the production of tear gas is allowed, and one of the legitimate uses of tear gas spelled out is riot control (which is what it's used for). So no, doing so is not a violation of human rights nor international law. So why it ok to tear gas civilians if it's not ok to tear gas enemy combatants? Simply because does the Geneva protocol is a blanket ban on the use of all chemical weapons on the battlefield, no matter how minor, which is what tear gas is, as far as chemical agents go."

Crystal Palace's Zaha becomes first Premier League player not to kneel before a game - "Wilfried Zaha has become the first Premier League player to not take a knee before a game since the demonstration began last season, standing during the prematch ritual against West Brom... Players and officials have been taking a knee before games since protests began after the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis in May 2020... Zaha had previously said taking a knee before every game is "degrading" and called for tangible change instead of being used to "tick boxes.""The whole kneeling down -- why must I kneel down for you to show that we matter," he told the "On The Judy" podcast. "Why must I even wear Black Lives Matter on the back of my top to show you that we matter? This is all degrading stuff."When people constantly want to get me to do Black Lives Matter talks and racial talks and I'm like, I'm not doing it just so you can put 'Zaha spoke for us.' Like a tick box, basically... The Ivory Coast international came up through Palace's academy and has spent 11 seasons of his senior career with them. He is not expected to face a punishment. How dare they remove the Emancipation Memorial? - "Listen to Fredrick Douglass, the slave turned abolitionist, who spoke at the dedication of the memorial in DC in 1876. People will remember ‘the story of our presence here’, he said. He told the crowd that they had gathered ‘here in the District of Columbia, here in the city of Washington, the most luminous point of American territory’, to see themselves and their ‘friend’ – Lincoln – become an immovable part of American history via this monument.Douglass said: ‘We, the coloured people, newly emancipated and rejoicing in our blood-bought freedom, near the close of the first century in the life of this Republic, have now and here unveiled, set apart, and dedicated a monument of enduring granite and bronze, in every line, feature and figure of which the men of this generation may read, and those of after-coming generations may read, something of the exalted character and great works of Abraham Lincoln, the first martyr President of the United States.’ Hear those words: enduring; a monument of granite and bronze that ‘after-coming generations’ would reflect upon and in doing so learn something of Lincoln and of ‘the coloured people’ who spilled their blood for their freedom. This was a statement of history-making, an intrusion by freed people into the public realm and into the consciousness of America; it was a message to future generations as much as it was to people in the 1870s. And now one of those future generations has responded by saying: ‘Your monument offends us and we are going to remove it.’The arrogance is astounding; the disregard for the activism and aspirations of freed slaves even more so. Yes, Douglass criticised Lincoln in his speech at the memorial. Yes, he wasn’t completely in love with the monument itself. But he celebrated the memorial because he had a far keener and more democratic understanding of history than today’s left nihilists do. He praised Lincoln for his achievements rather than obsessing over his possible motives (‘because of his fidelity to union and liberty, he is double dear to us’), and he looked to the future rather than obsessing over the crimes of the past... What a disgrace it is that the views and dreams of those 19th-century democrats are being crushed by a hysterical bourgeoisie that views history as nothing more than a litany of crimes and which wants to deprive future generations of the right to see any monument that the woke elites deem to be ‘problematic’"

Critical Spectator - Posts | Facebook - "This is officer Breann Leath of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Or should I say, was. The lovely, joyful 24-year old single mother who left behind a 3-year old son. At her young age she had already served for 3 years and was a military veteran of the National Guard. She was gunned down on 9th of April 2020, answering a domestic disturbance call when a man inside the apartment fired shots that proved to be fatal for her, while wounding another woman. You probably never heard of her. There was no national or international outrage over a proud, caring, optimistic, diligent black life lost. Nobody chanted #BlackLivesMatter then, nobody changed their Facebook avatars to black rectangles, no companies made nauseatingly hypocritical statements how they care about African-Americans.Why?Because it didn't fit the narrative. As a police officer she was a part of the "system" that left-wing ideologues want to dismantle. She was shot by another black man - what doesn't look good when you want to peddle the idea of "white supremacy". And she was a single mum, what gives credence to many observations that black males frequently leave women with children behind. You weren't told to grieve her, you weren't told her life mattered, you weren't told that you should care - so you didn't.Instead, you were told to worship a serial criminal, a former convict with several prison terms to his name, a heroin addict who was so high on the day of his arrest that most people would die from the doses of fentanyl mixed with other drugs found in his bloodstream. You were told he was a "gentle giant", an innocent bystander, a troubled man who "turned his life around" and was baselessly brutalized by white police officers whose motives were surely rooted in deep seated racism that, according to the story, is still a huge issue in a country that just had a black president, where black millionaires dominate most sport disciplines, black billionaires dictate trends in music and black actors are worshiped by the masses.Let's be clear, you didn't really give a damn about any black lives - thousands of which are erased by gang violence and crime every year - until the media turned attention to one tragic event and spoon-fed you a narrative, participation in which made you feel noble and virtuous. You're just their puppet - they pull the string, they throw you a bone and you chase it, because it makes you feel good about yourself. It's never about somebody else - it's always about you. "Look at me! At my black avatar! At my #BLM hashtags! At my selfies with vandalized stores, statues or government buildings! I'm important! #MYLIFEMATTERS"That's what it's all about - vomit-inducing narcissism of the social media generation which is aptly harnessed by cynical ideologues to serve their sociopolitical goals."

Critical Spectator - Posts | Facebook - "You may have read on the news that the idiots protesting these days in America, pulling down statues left and right, have defaced one of an abolitionist Matthias W. Baldwin in Philadelphia - who donated money to establishing the first African-American school in the city and continued supporting it financially. But it wasn't the only mindless, reckless assault on figures who fought to abolish slavery. Arguably an even more egregious act of vandalism happened earlier in the protests, when the mob gathered around the White House defaced, among others, the statue of a Polish general, Tadeusz Kościuszko - privately a friend of Thomas Jefferson and a military engineer who saved many lives of the Continental Army in its fight against the British... he left all his American possessions to the cause of liberating and educating as many black slaves as the money could buy - and yet his statue was mindlessly vandalized by the mob who doesn't know or care about history, even though access to it is freely available in the phones they all carry in their pockets. And these people claim to be representing progress."

Statues and monuments given safeguard from 'baying mobs' - "Every statue will be given greater protection from "baying mobs" and road names could be saved from the "revisionist purge" of Labour councils under tough new laws outlined by the Communities Secretary.Robert Jenrick is to change the law so that historic statues, plaques, memorials or monuments cannot be removed without going through a formal planning process. The law is also being changed so that controversial statues and monuments should be best explained and contextualised, not taken and hidden away, in a move which will further protect them.Mr Jenrick is looking at ways to stop left-wing councils from unilaterally replacing street names which are linked to the Empire with more modern versions without a clear majority of people living in the streets affected. Writing in The Telegraph, Mr Jenrick said it was wrong that statues, often erected by public subscription, were being removed "at the hands of the flash mob, or by the decree of a cultural committee of town hall militants and woke worthies"... Statues which are torn down by mobs without would have to be reinstated by councils... "Residents face the inconvenience (and embarrassment) of their addresses being forcibly changed. We cannot – and should not – try to edit or censor our past."At the heart of liberal democracies is a belief that history should be studied, not censored. We should apply the same scorn to the mindless destruction of statues as to the burning of books that we disagree with."He added: "Many of these statues were put up by previous generations, sometimes with different understandings of right and wrong."To tear them down, is, as the Prime Minister has said, 'to lie about our history'. It is also to needlessly denigrate and distort our past, rather than to educate, inform and unite people.""

We will save Britain's statues from the woke militants who want to censor our past - "The statues at risk are not just those of figures who are seldom remembered. It is absurd and shameful that the statue of Winston Churchill should be questioned. Nor is Horatio Nelson safe from the revisionist purge; Lambeth Council has suggested that Nelson’s Row may need to be re-named and campaigners have set their sights on Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square.Labour’s support for this attack on our past is not a relic of the days of Jeremy Corbyn. It’s happening under Labour councils and mayors across the country now, personally encouraged by Keir Starmer, his Shadow Cabinet and Local Government Association Labour Group. Not content with ripping down heritage, Labour in London has raised the prospect of removing tombs of those who are now seen as “offenders” – literally digging up the dead.Street names are also in their sights. Labour-run Birmingham City Council has already banned new streets being named after historic figures, in place of the anodyne “Diversity Grove” and “Humanity Close”... There’s a carelessness to this too. We’ve been here before when a previous generation tore down great buildings to the dismay of the silent majority and campaigners such as Sir John Betjeman. As the late Sir Roger Scruton said, the sentiment that “good things are easily destroyed, but not easily created” is one that most mature people can share. It is a belief that is at the very heart of conservatism. The law has been used as a bulwark against thoughtless harm to our heritage before. One of my predecessors as Housing Secretary, Duncan Sandys, created Conservation Areas in 1967 to protect our beautiful towns. Like me, he didn’t envisage places being set in aspic, but he was saddened by the carelessness he witnessed to the built environment and historic buildings we inherited from previous generations."

REPORT: BLM Protesters Trap 100 Customers in New York Grocery Store - "Conventional and social media report that an estimated 100 customers are trapped inside a Rochester, New York, grocery store by Black Lives Matter protesters. The action followed a street march Tuesday morning, protesting the in-custody death of 41-year-old Daniel Prude... Rochester police stood by and did not assist... The City of Rochester has been under Democrat leadership for more than 40 years and now has a black woman serving as chief of police. A six-month investigation alleges city officials misled the public regarding the death and that then Chief of Police La’Ron Singletary “downplayed, omitted details, and misdirected city officials and the public,” the local newspaper reported. The city later fired Chief Singletary and hired Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan to lead the department."

Andrew Yang is Right about How to Fight Anti-Asian Hate Crime - "Andrew Yang—the businessman, 2020 presidential contender, universal basic income advocate and current frontrunner to be the next mayor of New York City—ignited controversy once again on Sunday when he told a crowd of supporters he would fight a recent surge of crimes against Asian New Yorkers by fully funding the NYPD's Asian Hate Crimes Task Force. The promise elicited cheers, but also boos and chants of "defund the police," as Yang waded into one of the most contentious issues in city politics. To his credit, Yang did not back down: "I know that there are people that are very passionate about this, but the fact is when someone gets stabbed, you need the police to follow up. That person should not be on the streets... Some activists have tried to downplay the problem, blaming the surge in crimes on former president Donald Trump's year-old labeling of the coronavirus as "the China flu" and use of other derogatory terms. Some have called for offenders to attend "anti-racism classes" instead of going to jail. Asian Americans Advancing Justice CEO John C. Yang told NBC that more cops on the streets could do more harm than good, insisting that "an increased police presence isn't necessarily going to solve the problem."That's exactly wrong. These offenses are precisely the sort of street violence a cop on the beat is best able to deter. Shoving attacks and daylight robberies, which have plagued Asian communities in Oakland and San Francisco, are the sort of public offenses that, decades of research have told us, police are effective at stopping. It's therefore little surprise that a crime wave is hitting Asian communities, as city officials slash police budgets and stand down units. In New York, Mayor Bill de Blasio disbanded a key plainclothes unit and slashed the NYPD's budget by nearly half a billion dollars. In Oakland, where Asian residents are afraid to go outside, the city is working to cut its police budget in half over the next two years. Mass officer resignations last year, driven by public officials' open hostility to cops, can't have helped matters. These decisions haven't just endangered Asian citizens. Last year saw huge surges in domestic violence, car theft, shootings, assaults and likely the largest homicide spike on record. These killings disproportionately victimize black Americans—the very people that defunding advocates claim to be helping"

65% of College Students Say Rioting and Looting is ‘Justified,’ New Poll Finds - "The poll was conducted by Mclaughlin & Associate in conjunction with Yale University’s conservative William F. Buckley Program. It surveyed a nationally representative sample of 800 college students on a wide array of issues, from the coronavirus to race in America. One key finding from the poll was that 64 percent of college students agreed that “the recent rioting and looting is justified to some degree.” Only 28 percent disagreed with this assessment... Many left-leaning young people likely rooted their disdain for property rights in the notion that they only really matter to “Big Business” or “the rich.” (And themselves, of course). This is mistaken. In fact, the rich, safe neighborhoods aren’t the ones being looted. The destructive acts are disproportionately victimizing urban, poorer neighborhoods and minority-owned businesses. And the long-term fallout of attacks on property rights haunts society’s most vulnerable the most"

Contextual Insurgency: Lessons From a Week Observing Portland Black Bloc - "The course of the nightly action against the PPB followed a fairly predictable pattern: a contingent of notional BLM protesters rendezvoused with a group of antifa black bloc at a public park close to their objective. As they moved towards the police building which was their target, “corkers” -a sort of bicycle-mounted blocking force- closed off side streets and the scouting line -typically on mopeds- moved ahead and on the flanks. Behind them came the main contingent of black bloc. Upon arrival at the PPB the streets were blocked with vehicles and burning dumpsters, with the “corkers” stationed to direct traffic away from the action and the scouts setting up a picket line extending out several blocks, watching for police reinforcements and creating the strong impression of antifa control of territory. The black bloc then engaged in an steadily-escalating level of vandalism and property damage directed at their target, including unguarded police vehicles parked nearby. If uninterrupted, this quickly escalated to arson and serious destruction to the facilities.By this point the scouting line often detected the flanking lines of riot police and a riot was formally been declared. Blocs armed with shields deployed defensively to allow time for the rest of the rioters to disengage. These “shield walls” provided a tempting target for a police “bull rush”, video of which can then be used for propaganda purposes. Behind the shield wall other bloc members threw commercial fireworks, frozen water bottles, and paint-filled balloons. The paint balloons are often mixed with sand or abrasive material that scratches clear shields and visors when cleaning is attempted damaging expensive riot suppression equipment. Meanwhile the main element of the antifa black bloc continued to retreat into bordering residential areas.Antifa chooses the residential areas for specific reasons. As the police deploy flashbangs, tear gas, and assorted non-lethal munitions in order to control the ongoing riot, the disruptive effects are experienced by the local residents. Additionally, as the action moved further into the poorly-lit neighborhoods, small groups of rioters and black bloc would break off to either escape, or engage in vandalism against the original PPB target (if left unguarded) or other nearby targets of opportunity... In the days following the action, antifa-affiliated medic collectives canvased the affected neighborhoods, passed out hand sanitizer, basic medical equipment, and flyers with tips on how to respond to tear gas exposure and ways to minimize contamination during the action. These efforts aimed at direct community engagement –combined with traffic blockades and attempts to move community members away from the action as well as the images of alleged “police brutality” published by a sympathetic press- seeks to drive home the claim that the police are an invading force and the real source of tension and unrest. The dilemma action put the police in a conundrum: police have a responsibility to enforce order and control space, so doing nothing and allowing antifa to occupy and destroy property causes them to appear weak and ineffectual, thus inciting further acts against police. If they appear to respond too aggressively however -or intercept the march before it reaches its location, giving grounds for claims of a first amendment violation- they risk facing allegations of being tyrannical and overbearing. It is best to think of the ongoing situation in Portland not as a series of otherwise conventional riots, but rather as an insurgency taking place between dueling narratives. Antifa seeks to displace police and steal for itself the mantle of “community defense,” while pinning upon the police the blame for disruption they themselves have caused.  The ultimately successful party will be the one that consistently pressures their opponent into playing the assigned role as “the bad guys.”"

Federalist Perspectives - Posts | Facebook - "Hang the white man. Black lives matter" - BLM 2020
"Disarm the police and kill the Boers" - South Africa 1990's

Why so many BLM ultras are white - "To judge by television coverage, photographs and YouTube videos, most BLM protesters indeed seem to be white, middle-class students. In a further paradox, it is becoming more evident by the day that many black people and ethnic minorities vehemently oppose BLM... Another British mixed-race former sportsman, Matthew Syed of The Sunday Times, asked of BLM whether ‘toppling another statue’ will ‘help the black person cowering from gangs in a drug-infested neighbourhood, the graduate denied promotion because of unconscious bias, the child growing up without hope in a tower block?’... It’s not only conservative ethnic-minority voices who reject BLM. Last week Africa’s elder stateswoman, the politician and humanitarian Graça Machel, formerly of Mozambique’s freedom movement and widow of Nelson Mandela, criticised BLM’s tactic of pulling down statues of slave-owners. They should remain, to ‘tell generations to come, this is how it started, and this is how it never should continue to be’. In Britain, Sir Geoff Palmer, Scotland’s first black professor, has campaigned for years for explanatory plaques to accompany statues of slave traders. He believes toppling monuments will only erase the memory of their crimes against humanity: ‘You remove the evidence, you remove the deed.’ Indeed. Many black Americans have this summer come out in defence of the Emancipation Statue in Washington DC, paid for by freed slaves. This paradox veers into genuine irony. Witness the spectacle of a white man attacking a black man for trying to remove BLM posters from a fence. Observe the white man scream at his uppity, negro inferior... for black people racism is a real-life everyday potential experience. It may not be as bad as times past, and race relations are worse in the US than the UK, but racism remains in black folk memory and its shadow is always there. Hence the real desire to educate and to offer positive solutions that encourage mutual understanding and erase superficial differences. Many black people are also more concerned about the present than the past: in 2018, 2,925 black people were murdered in the United States, 2,600 of that number by other blacks. For Black Lives Matter – the very name epitomises its philosophy of division – it’s all a bit of a posture and a pastime. Racism rarely affects white liberal twentysomethings. But street protests do afford a feeling of righteousness, an opportunity to virtue-signal, to satiate that young man’s power-lust and feeling of importance – and to alleviate the boredom of lockdown. The white BLM protesters don’t think about the dangerous consequences of their actions or politics because they won’t be affected by them. The race wars that they are stoking won’t blight their affluent all-white neighbourhoods. Black Lives Matter are dangerous narcissists whose driving force is self-aggrandisement...
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has called for a review to decide which representations of Jesus should remain in Anglican cathedrals and churches, given that most of them portray Christ as white and north-European looking, whereas he was Middle Eastern. This literal-mindedness is dubious – and for the church, dangerous. Christ is white in most churches because, before Windrush, so was England. Religious icons are always traditionally portrayed in accordance to the ethnicity and culture of worshippers, with Jesus being black in Sub-Saharan Africa, Filipino in the Philippines and resembling previous depictions of Zeus in Greece... The archbishop’s literal-mindedness sets a perilous precedent. If Jesus should be rendered ‘realistic’, should the Bible be rewritten to make it historically accurate? I really wouldn’t recommend going down that path. The ‘virgin’ Mary was originally the ‘maid’ Mary, and Lazarus was returned from social ostracism, not brought back from the dead. Such are the legion translation mistakes from the Hebrew to the Greek."

Perhaps society should spend less time vilifying those who want all homicides to stop and work together to solve a problem that affects all communities — including white on black homicides."

*Che Guevera*: "The black is indolent and a dreamer; spending his meager wage on frivolity or drink; the European has a tradition of work and saving, which has pursued him as far as this corner of America and drives him to advance himself, even independently of his own individual aspirations."

Candace Owens: ‘I Do Not Support George Floyd And The Media Depiction Of Him As A Martyr For Black America’ - "Owens highlights Floyd’s criminal record, particularly a 2007 armed robbery of a woman’s home in Houston, for which Floyd was convicted in 2009 and served five years in prison. While the media has generally portrayed Floyd as having “started a new life” since his five-year stint in prison, Owens points to his alleged attempt to use a counterfeit bill, which prompted the ultimately fatal arrest, and two autopsies indicating he had drugs in his system as evidence suggesting he had not fully reformed... Citing conservative African-American author and columnist Shelby Steele, Owens says the black community is “unique in that we are the only people that fight and scream and demand support and justice for the people in our community that are up to no good.”... “For whatever reason it has become fashionable over the last five or six years for us to turn criminals into heroes overnight, and it is something that I find to be despicable and there’s something that I refuse to stand by any longer and I am not going to play a part in it — no matter how much pressure comes from black liberals and black conservatives as some token of people wanting you to believe that this is the only way you can be black,” she says."

Protests Erupt As Police Shoot Man Who Was Just One Gun Away From Being Unarmed | The Babylon Bee

Antifa 'commander' with flamethrower cried when he was arrested - "An Antifa leader known as Commander Red was busted carrying a flamethrower to a Wisconsin Black Lives Matter rally — and “dropped into the fetal position and began crying” when stopped by cops, officials said.Matthew Banta, 23, is “known to be a violent Antifa member who incites violence in otherwise relatively peaceful protests,” a criminal complaint in his Green Bay arrest record insisted"... He was carrying stickers and a flag for the controversial group — the name of which is short for “anti-fascist” — along with “military-grade 5-minute” smoke grenades, fireworks rockets, and a flamethrower... He complained that the officer got on top of him, which police denied... At the time of Saturday’s arrest, Banta was out on a $10,000 cash bond after being accused of pointing a loaded gun at a police officer as well as biting and kicking a cop at a protest earlier this month... A condition of his bond was that he can’t have a dangerous weapon... He was one of 15 arrested at Saturday’s Black Lives Matter protest that turned violent in the city and was deemed an unlawful assembly"

Portland decides to get serious about soaring crime rates and agrees to hire more... Park Rangers? - "'The last-minute agreement is a compromise between the mayor and the council's three newest commissioners, who pushed the mayor to find an answer to the skyrocketing number of shootings that didn't include earmarking new funds for the police bureau.' Interesting approach. They weren't seeking the best solution, or the most efficient one. They were seeking the solution that specifically ruled out the one city service designed to deal with the specific problem at hand. Their eventual solution included $4.1 million for grants for nonprofits working with the city's Office of Violence Prevention to reduce gun violence."

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler’s urgent mandate to move homeless campers into ‘humane’ shelters isn’t working - "When city officials cleared a sprawling homeless encampment at Southeast Portland’s Laurelhurst Park in November, they offered the 100 people living there a safe place indoors to sleep.  Most declined shelter at Mt. Scott Community Center, opting instead to remain in the streets... Scott lasted about two weeks at the shelter, he said, during which time he was twice expelled for multiple infractions such as having a broken piece of drug paraphernalia under his bed and not adequately cleaning up a common space... Wheeler launched his first City Hall run in 2015 with a pledge to provide a safe place to sleep for every person living on Portland’s streets by his second year in office, calling the task a “moral imperative.”  But as mayor, he walked back that promise, acknowledging the homelessness crisis had more complex causes than simply a lack of indoor cots to sleep on – ones that needed more expensive, harder-to-build solutions including subsidized housing, vastly expanded mental health and addiction services and ongoing case management for those toughest to house.  Meanwhile, Portland’s homeless population grew under his watch."

Korean American business owners, among hardest hit by looters, feel victimized and alone - "Frustrated at what they view as an unhelpful Police Department, some owners hired security guards at a cost that some merchants say reached $3,000 a night. And a few have armed themselves.  “I was behind the window with my double-barreled shotgun and a handgun praying [the looters] don’t get past my gate,” said one Korean American merchant in North Philadelphia, who did not want to be identified for fear of becoming a future target. “I was scared for my life, because there’s no way a single guy is going to deter 30 looters if they all want to all come in.”... Real estate agent Michael Choe, president of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce for Philadelphia, said some of his members were troubled when City Council adopted a bill this week that would forbid police from using tear gas and rubber bullets on demonstrators. He said these critics fear the law may lead some police to refrain as well from deploying such weapons against lawbreakers.  “Police will decide to not engage with the looters," Choe said. “That makes things a lot worse. The business owners may be put in jeopardy."... They noted that several protests are scheduled for the weekend through Election Day.  “That’s why many of our stores don’t plan to reopen until after the election,” said Hartz. “All businesses closed down on Thursday. That’s all we can do.”"
Damn white supremacy and anti-blackness! The solution is to defund the police and diversity training, and pretend the riots are mostly peaceful protests

Holy crap. Watch BLM protesters threaten to dox these officers and kill their families.

Who is the BLM leader charged with attempted murder of police in Portland? - "A grand jury in Multnomah County, Ore. has indicted an Indianapolis man who allegedly traveled to Portland to try and kill police using firebombs at riots last year. Malik Fard Muhammed, 24, is facing 28 charges that includes first and second-degree attempted murder, attempted aggravated murder, unlawful manufacture of a destructive device and unlawful use of a weapon. But who is the Black Lives Matter leader and attempted murder suspect who has scrubbed his social media posts? Those coming to Muhammed's defense may provide a clue.  One of the loudest defenders of Muhammed following his indictment is the Portland chapter of the Youth Liberation Front, an antifa group that organized months of violent, deadly rioting after George Floyd’s death. On Twitter, they’re discussing among their members and followers how best to help and fund Muhammed, who is currently held at the Marion County Jail in Indiana... Though previously unknown in the Pacific Northwest, Muhammed gained a reputation as a self-styled BLM leader in Indiana. Like other Antifa and BLM protesters charged with violent crimes, he’s ex-military, having served in the U.S. Army for a time before being discharged.  The criminal complaint provides clearer evidence of the links between BLM and Antifa that crystallized during the riots across American cities in 2020. In June last year, he made headlines after embracing a police officer in front of cameras during a heated BLM march to Gov. Eric Holcomb's residence in Indianapolis that was halted by police. On June 4, 2020, he was invited to meet with the Republican governor inside his official residence for a private meeting. ... The criminal complaint says that Muhammed and his girlfriend, Kristen McGuire, went to a Goodwill store in Portland where they purchased large amounts of bats and yellow glass jugs. Yellow glass jugs were used in Molotov cocktails that were thrown at police. McGuire, 23, of Indianapolis, has so far not been charged with any crimes but she is open about her extremist far-left views on her social media posts.  On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, she wrote on Facebook: "[L]et us remember that MLK was a black radical communist, anti capitalist, anti imperialist revolutionary Christian who was killed as an enemy of the state by the US government. Anything else is a lie.""
Damn Proud Boys false flag! Clearly the police are framing this Noble BLM leader

Journalist among group charged over BLM-inspired firebombing attacks in Arkansas - "Brittany Dawn Jeffrey, 31, Renea Baek Goddard, 22, Aline Espinosa-Villegas, 24, and Emily Nowlin, 27, were arrested following a months-long ATF investigation... All four suspects have a history of far-left activism... Calling herself "your local blactivist," Jeffrey has led a series of Black Lives Matter-style protests after the death of George Floyd, including rallies that shut down businesses. She has been arrested numerous times... Renea Goddard, accused of being part of the Molotov-throwing trio, is a left-wing journalist. She was previously arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations while violating curfew at a BLM protest... "As more and more white supremacists try to rebrand themselves, journalists have a responsibility to be vigilant. There needs to be an end to this farce that neutrality necessitates taking a centrist position," Goddard wrote in a column for social-justice news site Truthout in 2019.  Aline Espinosa-Villegas, a transsexual Chilean national, was also arrested at the June 2 protest attended by Goddard. Espinosa-Villegas reportedly uses "xe" pronouns and goes by the pseudonym "Loba de Valparaíso.""
Liberals are going to complain that this is an attack on the media, and pretend that whenever the police clear "journalists" out, it is unjustified

BREAKING: BLM activists storm Iowa State Capitol, one arrested
Storming US Capitols to intimidate politicians is only bad when Trump supporters do it

Need more proof that wokism is a cult? How about this shirtless white dude in swim goggles snotting up as he screeches “black lives matter” into the sky over and over? - "He's screaming, chanting, crying, and snotting; but not for any coherent cause. It's an exorcism. It's performance art. It's all about him."

Dozens arrested in Minneapolis BLM protest supporting man who allegedly opened fire on police - "Demonstrators have taken to the streets in the wake of the deadly shooting of 23-year-old Dolal Bayle Idd by police... According to police, Idd had open fired at officers manning a traffic stop. Officers returned fire, fatally striking Idd. The body camera footage appears to substantiate such claims."
Since they believe that "ACAB", it's no surprise BLM supporters want police to be shot and get upset when the police defend themselves (as we can see with countless other examples, including Jacob Blake and Michael Brown)

Video shows officer blindsided in fatal shooting - "Minutes after State Police officer Darian Jarrott pulled over Omar Cueva along Interstate 10 east of Deming, he noticed a firearm in the truck.  “Do you mind if I take it off you, for my safety?” Jarrott asks through the passenger side window.  The officer never got the chance... The dash camera footage shows the two men walk to the back of the truck, Cueva holding an AR-15 style rifle in one hand and what looks like a walkie-talkie or police scanner in the other. Without warning Cueva raises the rifle and opens fire, shooting Jarrot multiple times as vehicles drive by on the highway."

Edmonton BLM activist and council candidate celebrates death of slain police officer - "An Edmonton Black Lives Matter activist who is running in the city's October council election celebrated the death of Sgt. Andrew Harnett, who was killed in the line of duty after being run over at a traffic stop. In a since-deleted tweet, Abdulhakim Dalel responded to a Twitter user questioning why Justin Trudeau had not yet released a statement on the slain police officer.  "Cuz he was a corrupted Police Officer," Dalel replied. The tweet finished with five laughing emojis. Dalel has received criticism on both his Twitter and Facebook pages, with one user identifying himself as Métis telling Dalel to "[do] us all a favour and go home and keep your mouth shut." Dalel dismissed the criticism by calling the user "mixed with Caucasian."  Dalel has been quoted by multiple news outlets over the years to talk about issues pertaining to racism, including in the Toronto Star and BlogTO... He also allegedly called a member of the Canadian Armed Forces asking him about his position on the military calling him "white trash" and asked him how many innocent people he killed in Afghanistan. Dalel also once described former Prime Minister Stephen Harper as "the father of the White supremacy" and described the Conservative Party as Canada as "the new KKK in Canada.""

Matt Walsh on Twitter - "Dear White people. What are you doing to make sure that you're raising children who won't kill mine?"
"Cross racial homicide is very rare, but white people are killed by black people more often than the reverse. I realize facts mean absolutely nothing to a bigot like yourself, but I thought I'd present them anyway."

Minneapolis violence surges after George Floyd's death as police officers leave the department in droves - The Washington Post - "Spann, a longtime community activist who works for the Jordan Area Community Council, cannot recall another time when things were this bad — not even when the city was branded “Murderapolis,” during a spike in violence in the mid-1990s. The police are not as much a presence as they used to be, Spann said, noting that sometimes when neighbors call 911, officers are delayed in responding or don’t come at all... Minneapolis is grappling with dueling crises: an unprecedented wave of violence and droves of officer departures that the Minneapolis Police Department warns could soon leave the force unable to respond to emergencies... over 100 officers have left the force — more than double the number in a typical year... Ron Meuser Jr., a Twin Cities personal injury attorney, said he represents 175 Minneapolis police officers who have left the force or are in the process of filing disability claims that would allow them to leave their jobs permanently, many citing PTSD from recent civil unrest.  One officer said he is in the process of leaving the force after he suffered physical injuries, including cuts and burns, during the days of unrest after Floyd’s killing. While inside the city’s 3rd Precinct building as it was overtaken by protesters and subsequently burned, he recorded video messages to his wife and children because he thought he might not make it out alive... The officers have expressed a fear that the city will suffer “Portland-style riots during the entire trial,” he said, referring to extended unrest in the Oregon city... “You have a lot of officers come in and say, ‘Why am I doing this?’ They sit there with their spouses and say, ‘Is this worth it?’ ” The absence of officers on the streets has been noticeable, especially in South Minneapolis near where Floyd was killed. Dozens of Minneapolis residents spoke before the city council last month, many complaining of trauma from the constant gunfire and violence and robberies.  “Since the unjustified and unfortunate death of George Floyd, the city council has engaged in rhetoric that has emboldened criminals, the proof of which is in the unprecedented spike in crime,” said George Saad of southwest Minneapolis, describing himself as an immigrant and a “child of war” who came to the city because of its rich diversity. But now, Saad said, he feels terrorized in his own community, afraid to walk down the street. “You guys have had years to address any culture problems within the Minneapolis Police Department,” he said. “You have failed to do so. Instead, you embark on a campaign against your own police department, fighting and demonizing an entire internal city organization instead of making it better.”... Forbes questioned the lack of officers on the street and blamed the city council for pursuing what she described as a “sociology experiment that obviously doesn’t work.” She and others called for a surge of law enforcement into the city... The mayor’s proposed budget boosts funding for the Office of Violence Prevention, a city effort that has put groups of activists on the streets to de-escalate tensions between gang members and other groups that many blame for the escalation in violence. But some residents question whether that’s enough. In August, community activist Spann and seven other residents from North Minneapolis sued the city, arguing that the declining number of police officers is in violation of the city charter, which requires a minimum number of officers based on population... Last month, several law enforcement agencies, including the Minneapolis police, the state patrol and other departments in Hennepin County, began a coordinated effort to stop drag-racing in downtown Minneapolis. More than two dozen people were cited or arrested. The announcement was met with mixed feelings as residents in neighborhoods hit hard by violence wondered why a similar plan of action couldn’t be deployed to stop shootings and carjackings.  “You can put together that team to go address drag racing, but you can’t put that team together to address the fact that young Black and Brown lives are being lost and killed and murdered and maimed over here in north Minneapolis?” Spann asked. “Why do those people matter and we don’t?”... Spann has reached out to state officials and federal prosecutors to ask what law enforcement agencies can do for them because she doesn’t believe the city will ask.  “The city has failed us”"

The cofounder of BLM just bought a $1.4 million L.A. "compound" in a rich, largely white neighborhood - "Think about this: systemic racism is so rampant in our nation that a black woman can buy a "canyon compound" in one of the most affluent neighborhoods and fill it with creature comforts that kings of old couldn't have possibly imagined... It seems to me that the American Dream is actually so real and so exceptional that even those who make money off their disdain for her can get rich!  It's too bad for all those black businesses BLM burned down last summer though..."

Inside BLM co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors' real-estate buying binge - "As protests broke out across the country in the name of Black Lives Matter, the group’s co-founder went on a real estate buying binge, snagging four high-end homes for $3.2 million in the US alone, according to property records...   The self-described Marxist last month purchased a $1.4 million home on a secluded road a short drive from Malibu in Los Angeles, according to a report. The 2,370-square-foot property features “soaring ceilings, skylights and plenty of windows” with canyon views. The Topanga Canyon homestead, which includes two houses on a quarter-acre, is just one of three homes Khan-Cullors owns in the Los Angeles area, public records show.  Some fellow activists were taken aback by the real estate revelations.  Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, which is not affiliated with Khan-Cullors’ Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, called for “an independent investigation” to find out how the global network spends its money. “If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” he said. “It’s really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it’s the people that carry this movement.”... Khan-Cullors began her buying spree in LA in 2016, a few years after the civil rights movement she started from a hashtag — #blacklivesmatter — with fellow activists Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi began to gain traction around the world... [this] shows just how far she has come from the hardscrabble Van Nuys neighborhood in LA where she spent her childhood with two brothers and a younger sister...   Khan-Cullors embraced activism and Marxism at a young age. “It started the year I turned twelve,” she writes. “That was the year that I learned that being black and poor defined me more than being bright and hopeful and ready.”... In February, the BLM nonprofit co-founded by Khan-Cullors told the AP that they took in $90 million in 2020, with $21.7 million committed to grant funding and helping 30 black-led groups across the country.  Black Lives Matter leaders would not specify how much money they took in from prominent donors, according to the AP report.  It’s also not clear how much Khan-Cullors makes in salary as one of the leaders of the movement, since its finances are split among both nonprofit and for-profit entities and difficult to trace...   At the same time Khan-Cullors incorporated the nonprofit, she also set up the similarly named BLM Global Network, a for-profit that is not required to disclose how much it spends or pays its executives.  Some have criticized the lack of transparency. Newsome of NYC’s BLM said, “We need black firms and black accountants to go in there and find out where the money is going.” He added that his group does not receive any financial support from the BLM Global Network...   “Patrisse’s work for Black people over the years has made her and others who align with the fight for Black liberation targets of racist violence. The narratives being spread about Patrisse have been generated by right-wing forces intent on reducing the support and influence of a movement that is larger than any one organization. This right-wing offensive not only puts Patrisse, her child and her loved ones in harm’s way, it also continues a tradition of terror by white supremacists against Black activists. All Black activists know the fear these malicious and serious actions are meant to instill: the fear of being silenced, the trauma of being targeted, the torture of feeling one’s family is exposed to danger just for speaking out against unjust systems. We have seen this tactic of terror time and again, but our movement will not be silenced.”"
Marxism is great - for the leaders
I like how the other BLM leader Hawk Newsome (who is black) got slimed as a racist, white supremacist right winger

Candace Owens On BLM Founder: If ‘White People Are So Bad, Why Doesn’t She Want To Live Amongst Black People?’ - "Owens also mockingly commended Khan-Cullors for staying true to her “communist” values. “She has my respect because she’s unapologetic in her approach. She’s telling you what she is. She’s a Marxist. So Marxists steal money from other people and they enrich themselves until the people that they stole from are poor. And so she has stolen money from other people on the pretext of a lie that is Black Lives Matter.”"

BLM has raked in billions since George Floyd's death—local chapters want to know where it's gone - "the BLMGN "…spent millions on consultants, travel and compensation for its own staff between July 2017 and June 2019, according to audited financial statements prepared by its fiscal sponsor, Thousand Currents." Specifically, BLMGN spent nearly $900,000 on travel, $1.6 million on consulting and $2.1 million on staff during the 2017, 2018 and 2019 fiscal years. Financial statements show that this totals 83.3 percent of its total spending during the three year period. BLMGN only granted $328,000 to outside organizations, which include local BLM chapters, during that time frame, a number that represents about 6 percent of its total spending... In March 2018, Black Lives Matter Cincinnati announced it was changing its name to the Mass Action for Black Liberation because the national group had "perverted" the Black Lives Matter brand."
Too bad BLM's local chapters have been taken over by white supremacists!

Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Who Bought Four Homes Says She Is Supporting Family - "Patrisse Cullors, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter, told interviewer Marc Lamont Hill on Thursday that there is no contradiction between her radical left-wing politics and owning four homes because she is providing for her extended family... “Organizers should get paid for the work that they do. They should get paid a living wage. And the fact that the right-wing media is trying to create hysteria around my spending is, frankly, racist and sexist.”...   Hill agreed that the right’s criticism of her was racist and sexist, but posed criticism from the left about a “potential contradiction between your expressed politics” — Cullors has called herself a “trained Marxist” —  “and your lived practice.”  She disagreed with that critique, saying: “The way that I live my life is a direct support to black people, including my black family members, first and foremost. … I see my money as not my own. I see it as my family’s money, as well.”... The point of the criticisms, she said, was “to discredit me, but also to discredit the movement.” She added: “We have to stay focused on white supremacy.”"
Of course liberals won't call her a grifter. That term is reserved for people who expose the liberal narrative

Why exactly do you think BLM founder Patrisse Cullors shouldn’t live in a million-dollar house? - "The reaction to Cullors’ ability to buy a nice house speaks volumes about what we think Black people should fight for, and what Black people should have access to... the pause itself was connected to how I’ve been conditioned to view the Black struggle. When we talk about equity, we often look at the lowest common denominator: access to decent — not good — schools; functional — but not amazing — housing; the ability to live our lives without prejudice, but not necessarily to live our lives to the fullest... isn’t equity about everybody having access to the same opportunities, each according to their need? Equity isn’t about people struggling together — it’s about thriving, and knowing that the only way we can all do that is by working together... In 2020, Cullors appeared in a video where she confirmed she believed in Marxism as a philosophy that questions capitalism. “We can get to a place where there is a socioeconomic system that doesn’t oppress some groups of people and only uplifts a few”"
Weird. Liberals keep telling us equity is about equal outcomes
Ironically Marxism is a system that only uplifts its leaders

Vallejo For Racial Justice on Twitter - "RECEIPTS showing Shaun King’s direct payments to Patrisse Cullors of BLM for “consulting work”.   Please don’t believe it when these people start trying to distance themselves from each other’s corruption: they work together and protect each other."
"These people are fucking scammers & capitalist state agents building wealth off state violence.
We’re talking generational wealth off of the deaths & struggle of Black folks here. Justice Teams Network & BLM founder paid $1.4 million dollars for a home. This past week we bought a cot for our unhoused Black elder friend to keep him off the ground."

Facebook Co-Founder Gave Millions To BLM's Patrisse Cullors Before Facebook Censored News Story About Her Mansions - "Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz has given millions of dollars to groups run by Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, including one which paid Cullors $20,000 a month. Last week, Facebook desperately moved to censor a  New York Post story about Cullors’ multi-million dollar mansion collection from the website."

WATCH: BLM co-founder calls police a 'terrorist organization', says she 'always wanted to fight them' - "Cullors then went on to describe how easy it is for groups to "shut sh*t down", implying that it was and is an effective method of protesting... "We’ve been shutting sh*t down since August 9th. We are still shutting shit down. In Los Angeles, for example, we occupied the Los Angeles Police headquarters for 18 days." This is not the first time a shocking revelation has occurred regarding the BLM co-founder. Previously, in the year 2010, Cullors was speaking to another crowd and comparing her own writing favorably with the evil tyrant Mao Zedong's infamous "Little Red Book"."

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors blasts 'white supremacy' of housing market despite $3m property

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors to step down from movement foundation - "Critics of the foundation contend more of that money should have gone to the families of Black victims of police brutality who have been unable to access the resources needed to deal with their trauma and loss.  “That is the most tragic aspect,” said the Rev. T. Sheri Dickerson, president of an Oklahoma City BLM chapter and a representative of the #BLM10, a national group of organizers that has publicly criticized the foundation over funding and transparency."
Damn white supremacy!

Black Lives Matter activist indicted with defrauding BLM donors - "Authorities say Black Lives Matter activist Sir Maejor Page spent over $450,000 of donor money for himself, on personal luxury items, going as far as buying himself a house. The FBI couldn’t even properly identify any purchase from Page related to social or racial justice causes...  The Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta Facebook account accrued a whopping $467,342.18 in donations, over the short timeframe between June and August 2020. The FBI says that Sir Page went as far as to directly reassure supporters that all the money was going to George Floyd related causes and "none of the funds have been used for personal items. All movement-related."  Nope. The debit card linked to the donations bank account made purchases for an array of personal items: food, clothing, entertainment, furniture, and other luxury-level accessories."

Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor Families Ask Black Lives Matter Where Money Went - "The families of Michael Brown and Breonna Taylor — two of the iconic victims in the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement — are questioning the funding of the movement, with Taylor’s family calling the Louisville, Kentucky BLM branch a “fraud.”...   Khan-Cullors said last week that the organization is not a “charity,” and that people in the community with financial needs should pressure the government for reparations for slavery."

Breonna Taylor's mom slams BLM Louisville as a 'fraud' - "The mom of Breonna Taylor slammed a Black Lives Matter chapter as a “fraud”...   “’I have never personally dealt with BLM Louisville and personally have found them to be fraud, (state Rep.) Attica Scott another fraud,” Tamika Palmer wrote"

Vox survey finds overwhelming support for greater police presence among all demographics - "Respondents were first asked whether they think the amount of violent crime has increased in the country as a whole. Roughly 70% said they thought it was increasing... All demographics responded similarly when asked whether "regular police patrols in your neighbourhood would make [them] feel less safe or more safe." Political party, age, and race seemed to have very little effect on one's desire for increased police presence.  Among greater calls for "defunding the police", this data shows that Americans still see the presence of law enforcement as essential to public safety."
Even after almost a year of Cultural Revolution, 77% of Americans think more police patrols would make them feel more safe, and only 14% less

Petition started to restore Colston statue and return it to plinth - "“We live in a democracy, the thuggery surrounding the criminal damage was practically okayed by left-wing politicians due to anti-racist sentiment." This is a statue of its time and half of Bristol was built on money from Edward Colston. Are we suggesting that we rip down half of Bristol?  “We cannot and should never give into the mob mentality. Other options were being discussed, such as an explanation put onto the plinth, or proper removal after a vote, to a museum.  “We believe the graffiti must be removed. It is not part of its history. It was violently and in a thuggish way, ripped from its plinth and thrown into the river. This is mob rule. We should never give into that kind of extremist criminal behaviour.”"

Wokies are now referring to looting and stealing as "material liberation." You think I'm kidding? I am not kidding. - "This is a telling glimpse into how Marxists can justify anything they desire through language control.  It's not "looting," "stealing," or "robbing" – it's "material liberation." Which means, of course, it's not only not bad, it's righteous."
So much for liberals claiming that no one is defending looting

‘Must Be Dismantled’: Ben & Jerry’s Attacks America’s Police System - "Meanwhile, Haagen-Daz sold its ice cream in the old-fashioned way"
Hopefully they get looted

The left shifts the blame on riots in American cities - "Until a few days ago, Democrats were content to pretend the disorder in American cities didn’t exist.  Now, worried that Joe Biden is on his back foot on the issue, they readily acknowledge the rioting — and blame it on President Trump.  One would think that, given the fusillade they unleashed against Trump at the convention, if Democrats truly believed that the president is responsible for Black Lives Matter activists and anarchists attacking cops and burning down buildings, they would have mentioned it at least once.  But no, they didn’t bring it up, in keeping with how progressives have minimized the violence all along as inconvenient to a narrative of courageous young people rising up against systemic racism. There’s no doubt that Trump constantly stirs the pot and often acts more the Twitter provocateur than the president. This is an abdication of an important part of his leadership role, but it’s not him or his allies torching businesses and vandalizing public property.  The violence has overwhelmingly racked cities governed by Democratic mayors and city councils for decades. They run the police departments, the schools and the housing authorities. If the cops are violent and corrupt, it’s on them. If they are such miserable places to live that they are powder kegs, it’s on them. If they can’t maintain basic order, it’s on them.  If Joe Biden thinks these localities are doing a poor job, he can say so, but, of course, since blue mayors are his allies, he won’t say a discouraging word...   Even after years of coddling left-wing extremists, Portland could control its streets if it had the will. It doesn’t.  Mayor Ted Wheeler wants to cater to the mob as much as possible, even if the mob doesn’t like him very much. He apologized earlier this summer for the Portland police allegedly using excessive tear gas, and issued guidance saying cops could only use it if they feared injury or death.  Even as Wheeler traded barbs with Trump over the weekend, protesters staged in a sit-in in the lobby of his condo building, demanding that he cut the police budget by half and then eliminate the police entirely.  Wheeler’s fecklessness is matched by that of the local prosecutor. The Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt has been dropping most of the charges against rioters.  None of this is Trump’s fault, and runs counter to his inclinations.   It wasn’t anything Trump said or did that set off the initial nationwide unrest a few months ago. It was a spontaneous reaction to the death of George Floyd, which Trump repeatedly condemned. The dynamic has been the same, only on a larger scale, as Ferguson, Mo., while Barack Obama was president — anger at police action, followed by rioting treated with kid gloves by the media.  Everyone knows there are different rules for Black Lives Matter. If a conservative movement with the cachet and corporate support of BLM staged an event featuring a single act of arson, the group would be shunned and its cause discredited. That this would never happen to BLM acts as a giant permission slip, and it’s not Trump writing it, but all the people now blaming him for the rioting."

Thread by @LeonydusJohnson on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "The #BreonnaTaylor situation proves BLM doesn't want justice. They want vengeance.
Taylor was wrapped up with a drug dealer. That's why her name and house were on the warrant. The cops knocked and announced themselves even though it was a no-knock. Taylor's boyfriend shot at the cops. Cops shot back. Taylor (in the hallway, NOT in bed) was hit in the crossfire.
Wanting the cops to go to prison for murder and accusing them of racism is absolutely insane and completely ignores the facts of the case. But facts don't matter to BLM. Who cares about evidence. It's all about the narrative. Now they're saying accept the narrative or we riot.
BLM is trash"

Donald Trump Jr. condemns 'anarchy' in Louisville after officers shot amid Breonna Taylor protests - "Louisville, Ky., is the latest American city to see peaceful protests transform into violent riots and "anarchy," Donald Trump Jr. said Wednesday during an appearance on “Hannity”  “There are peaceful protesters doing the right thing and I think that's wonderful," the president's eldest son told host Sean Hannity. "That's very American. But what's going on, when police officers are shot, when Democrat mayors are turning a blind eye, when they're more worried about protecting arsonists, vandals, looters and outright criminals than they are about the citizens of these towns? It is absolutely disgusting.” Trump Jr. agreed the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor by Louisville Metro Police officers in March should have never happened. However, he continued, when Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who has championed legislation banning so-called "no-knock" police raids, was attacked by demonstrators in Washington last month -- and when trucks are "showing up" in Louisville "with supplies, you start to realize that this isn’t an organic, peaceful protest gone wrong. This is anarchy."... “When a grand jury in an impartial process doesn't give them the answer they want, [they think] they can burn down cities and states ... ""

WATCH: Anarchists unpack U-Haul truck filled with riot gear in Louisville after Breonna Taylor verdict - "Antifa and BLM protestors could be seen unloading shields, riot gear and signs from the back of a U-Haul. Many were dressed all in black bloc as they clamored around to get the gear... Democrat lawmakers have claimed both that Antifa doesn't exist and that there are no highly organized efforts to facilitate street violence in America. In this clip, captured by Daily Caller's Shelby Talcott, the high level of organization of this supposedly non-existent group is clearly visible.  The shields taken from the U-Haul were then used on the front lines of a protest march. This confirms that the street actions taking place in America are not as the media has portrayed, spontaneous acts of protest but in fact, well-funded and organized actions."

Council Who Voted To Abolish Police Now Outraged Over Crime Spike, Slow Police Response - "The same city council members who voted to cut $1 million from the police budget with a goal toward abolishing the Minneapolis Police Department complained to the police chief on Wednesday about rising crime in the city.  Minneapolis City Council President Lisa Bender, who led the movement to do away with the police department, told Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo that she thinks officers were making the city less safe intentionally... her constituents had told her that police told them they weren’t arresting people intentionally... Cunningham was a lead advocate for replacing police with “violence interrupters” and he said it was important to start getting those resources set up.  “If we have these systems in place we are getting ahead of the violence,” he said. “That’s why I have advocated so strongly for the violence interrupters, because if they are interrupting the violence before the guns are being fired, then the MPD doesn’t have to respond to that violence.”  Cunningham accused some of his fellow city councilmembers of backing down on their earlier promises to do away with the Minneapolis Police Department entirely, MPR reported.  “What I am sort of flabbergasted by right now is colleagues, who a very short time ago were calling for abolition, are now suggesting we should be putting more resources and funding into MPD,” he told the assembled group during the virtual meeting... Some of the most prominent councilmembers advocating to abolish the police department used $63,000 in taxpayer funds to pay for private security for themselves in June.  Cunningham was of those who requested and received a security detail after the unrest began in the city."

3 charged for involvement in confrontations at Pittsburgh restaurants during protest - "Three people are facing charges for their involvement in confrontations caught on video at Pittsburgh restaurants during a protest over the Labor Day weekend. Charges were filed Monday against Shawn Green, who goes by Lorenzo Rulli, as well as Kenneth McDowell and Monique Craft. One of the incidents occurred in front of Sienna Mercato on Penn Avenue. A social media video showed Black Lives Matter protesters yelling and cursing at people eating outside the restaurant. One woman walked up to a table and drank someone’s drink while several other people smashed glasses on the ground.  In another video, demonstrators became aggressive toward a manager inside a McDonald’s restaurant. According to a criminal complaint, McDowell used a megaphone to scream obscenities at diners sitting outside Sienna Mercato. He was also identified as the person who got into an altercation with the McDonald’s employee.  Green, according to the complaint, swore at diners, specifically an elderly couple, and gave them the middle finger. He also walked up to the front of the restaurant and screamed into an open window.  Craft admitted that she chugged the couple’s beer"

Kaepernick Calls Independence Day 'Celebration Of White Supremacy'
Clearly he's only protesting police brutality

What To The Intelligent Is Colin Kaepernick? A Fraud - "Frederick Douglass spent the entirety of his adult life fighting tirelessly for black people and women to be recognized as full United States citizens.  Douglass, a famous black abolitionist in the 1800s, used Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence as the foundation of his argument to end slavery.  That’s why it struck me as ill-informed that Colin Kaepernick would use Douglass’ What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July speech as the audio backdrop for his incendiary tweet condemning America’s Independence Day...   The popularity of the tweet speaks to the corrosive power of Jack Dorsey’s invention. Social media amplifies and legitimizes the voices of idiots, anarchists and race-baiters. Without Twitter, Colin Kaepernick would be a flash-in-the-pan, long-forgotten quarterback, not much different from Stan Humphries, Jake Delhomme, Kerry Collins and Neil O’Donnell.  Twitter is Kap’s costume. The man afraid to speak in public gets to masquerade as Brain Dead Fred Douglass...   At the time of this nation’s founding, slavery was a global sin committed by black, white, brown and yellow sinners across the planet. Black people in Africa owned white (and black) slaves. Black people in America, as early as the 1600s, owned black (and white) slaves. That’s not a typographical error. Black people in America owned black and white slaves.   The United States of America, because of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, was actually a global leader in abolishing slavery. As writer and historian Thomas Sowell has repeatedly pointed out, long after the U.S. Emancipation Proclamation, blacks in Northern Africa still bought, sold and utilized white slaves...   Kaepernick critics dug up a handful of his old tweets celebrating the Fourth of July and the American military. The tweets I saw were from 2011. Kap has certainly evolved over the past decade. He’s a different person.   Humans evolve. Nations don’t? America, a collection of humans, hasn’t evolved?   What is with us as black Americans that we think slavery and racial victimhood are central to our identity? Why? Every race of human beings has been a slave and an enslaver.   On Saturday, someone close to me texted me Douglass’ What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July speech. I responded: “Are you a slave? I’m not. I’m a Christian.”  I respect the history of my ancestors. I take pride in our rise. But slavery does not remotely define my identity. It doesn’t tell you anything about me. I don’t look at the world through the eyes of a slave"

Deputy Jay Stalien - Posts | Facebook - "Here I am, a young African-American born and raised in Brooklyn, NY wanting to be a cop. I watched and lived through the crime that took place in the hood. My own black people killing others over nothing. Crack heads and heroin addicts lined the lobby of my building as I shuffled around them to make my way to our 1 bedroom apartment with 6 of us living inside. I used to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of gun fire, only to look outside and see that it was 2 African Americans shooting at each other. It never sat right with me. I wanted to help my community and stop watching the blood of African Americans spilled on the street at the hands of a fellow black man. I became a cop because black lives in my community, along with ALL lives, mattered to me, and wanted to help stop the bloodshed. As time went by in my law enforcement career, I quickly began to realize something. I remember the countless times I stood 2 inches from a young black man, around my age, laying on his back, gasping for air as blood filled his lungs. I remember them bleeding profusely with the unforgettable smell of deoxygenated dark red blood in the air, as it leaked from the bullet holes in his body on to the hot sidewalk on a summer day. I remember the countless family members who attacked me, spit on me, cursed me out, as I put up crime scene tape to cordon off the crime scene, yelling and screaming out of pain and anger at the sight of their loved ones taking their last breath. I never took it personally, I knew they were hurting. I remember the countless times I had to order new uniforms, because the ones I had on, were bloody from the blood of another black victim…of black on black crime. I remember the countless times I got back in my patrol car, distraught after having watched another black male die in front me, having to start my preliminary report something like this:
Suspect- Black/ Male, Victim-Black /Male.
I remember the countless times I canvassed the area afterwards, and asked everyone “did you see who did it”, and the popular response from the very same family members was always, “Fuck the Police, I ain’t no snitch, Im gonna take care of this myself”. This happened every single time, every single homicide, black on black, and then my realization became clearer... I was a target in the very community I swore to protect, the very community I wanted to help. As a matter of fact, they hated my very presence. They called me “Uncle Tom”, and “wanna be white boy”, and I couldn’t understand why. My own fellow black men and women attacking me, wishing for my death, wishing for the death of my family... The more I listened, the more I realized. The more I researched, the more I realized. I would ask questions, and would only get emotional responses & inferences based on no facts at all. The more killing I saw, the more tragedy, the more savagery, the more violence, the more loss of life of a black man at the hands of another black man….the more I realized... I couldn’t help but wonder if it had been me, a black man, a black cop, on TV, assassinated, laying on the ground dead,..would my friends and family still think black lives mattered? Would my life have mattered? Would they make t-shirts in remembrance of me? Would they go on tv and protest violence? Would they even make a Facebook post, or share a post in reference to my death? All of my realizations came to this conclusion. Black Lives do not matter to most black people. Only the lives that make the national news matter to them. Only the lives that are taken at the hands of cops or white people, matter. The other thousands of lives lost, the other black souls that I along with every cop, have seen taken at the hands of other blacks, do not matter. Their deaths are unnoticed, accepted as the “norm”, and swept underneath the rug by the very people who claim and post “black lives matter”... They watch a couple videos and then they magically know in 2 minutes 35 seconds, how you are supposed to handle a violent encounter, which took you 6 months of Academy training, 2 – 3 months of field training, and countless years of blood, sweat, tears and broken bones experiencing violent encounters and fine tuning your execution of the Use of Force Continuum. I realized that there are even cops, COPS, duly sworn law enforcement officers, who are supposed to be decent investigators, who will publicly go on the media and call other white cops racist and KKK. I realized that most in the African American community refuse to look at solving the bigger problem that I see and deal with every day, which is black on black crime taking hundreds of innocent black lives each year, and instead focus on the 9 questionable deaths of black men, where some were in the act of committing crimes. I realized that they value the life of a Sex Offender and Convicted Felon, [who was in the act of committing multiple felonies: felon in possession of a firearm-FELONY, brandishing and threatening a homeless man with a gun-Aggravated Assault in Florida: FELONY, who resisted officers who first tried to taze him, and WAS NOT RESTRAINED, who can be clearly seen in one of the videos raising his right shoulder, then shooting it down towards the right side of his body exactly where the firearm was located and recovered] more than the lives of the innocent cops who were assassinated in Dallas protecting the very people that hated them the most. I realized that they refuse to believe that most cops acknowledge that there are Bad cops who should have never been given a badge & gun, who are chicken shit and will shoot a cockroach if it crawls at them too fast, who never worked in the hood and may be intimidated. That most cops dread the thought of having to shoot someone, and never see the turmoil and mental anguish that a cop goes through after having to kill someone to save his own life. Instead they believe that we are all blood thirsty killers, because the media says so, even though the numbers prove otherwise.  I realize that they truly feel as if the death of cops will help people realize the false narrative that Black Lives Matter, when all it will do is take their movement two steps backwards and label them domestic terrorist. I realized that some of these people, who say Black Lives Matter, are full of hate and racism. Hate for cops, because of the false narrative that more black people are targeted and killed. Racism against white people, for a tragedy that began 100’s of years ago, when most of the white people today weren’t even born yet. I realized that some in the African American community’s idea of “Justice” is the prosecution of ANY and EVERY cop or white man that kills or is believed to have killed a black man, no matter what the circumstances are. I realized the African American community refuses to look within to solve its major issues, and instead makes excuses and looks outside for solutions.  I realized that a lot of people in the African American community lead with hate, instead of love. Division instead of Unity. Turmoil and rioting, instead of Peace. I realized that they have become the very entity that they claim they are fighting against. I realized that the very reasons I became a cop, are the very reasons my own people hate me, and now in this toxic hateful racially charged political climate, I am now more likely to die,… and it is still hard for me to understand…. to this day."

"We need to teach our kids what democracy looks like, and there's no better example of democracy in action than violent vandalism and arson. We hope this new playset will serve as an inspiration for parents wanting to teach their kids how to threaten citizens with violence whenever their demands are not met."... Experts are questioning the wisdom of this move by Fisher-Price, mainly because people in the target market don't typically have any kids. Afro-Nova Scotian woman says mayor 'spitting' in her face with Black Lives Matter murals - "After the municipality installed two Black Lives Matter murals in Halifax and Dartmouth, a queer Afro-Nova Scotian woman says the mayor is “spitting” in her face.  Aaliyah Paris says since June she’s been organizing a project to install Black Lives Matter murals around the city.  “One that I fundraised for, I did interviews for, I gathered a team of artists and community members for, and now the white mayor is swooping in and just making it happen,” she says in a video she uploaded to social media. “And as far as I know, the only other Black people at that table discussing this were cis Black men.”... Paris says that as a queer Afro-Nova Scotian youth, there is no excuse why she couldn’t have been at the front of the discussion and instead had to learn about it through Facebook... “I wanted the mural to be a community-based thing with BIPOC community members helping out, not city workers doing the street installation — It’s more than that,” she says. “And it’s not just Black Lives Matter, it’s All Black Lives Matter and without that distinction, you defeat the purpose.”"

Black-owned businesses struggling at George Floyd Square - "Black merchants near the once-thriving corner of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue said police have abandoned the blocked-off intersection, creating a dangerous autonomous zone that has seen crime spike and business evaporate.   “The city left me in danger,” the owner of Smoke In The Pit restaurant told The Post Thursday.  “They locked us up on here and left us behind,” said the merchant, who asked to be identified only as Alexander W. for fear of reprisals.  “They left me with no food, no water, nothing to eat,” he said. “The police, fire trucks, can’t come in here.”  On Thursday the intersection was essentially abandoned — save for the occasional gawker who posed for photos in front of a mural outside Cup Foods, the convenience store where Floyd allegedly passed a counterfeit $20 bill.  At least five stores along one block are shuttered. Owners and workers at most of the stores that do remain open were too afraid to comment to The Post... The black-owned businesses say they have lost 75-percent of their business since the Floyd memorial sprouted up shortly after his death — and have even launched a GoFundMe fundraising page in a desperate bid to stay afloat.  The merchants “feel they have been the sacrificial lambs” in the city’s response to Floyd’s death, according to the fundraising page... residents and businesses complain that a new element of lawlessness has seeped into the area recently — with left-wing militants and gang members turning it into a “volatile” autonomous zone. Police said last month they would retake the intersection and restore safety, but gave no timeline... “Business is bad,” an employee of Giant Express Laundromat said of the Square.  “No one absolutely knows who runs this""
